*Edges out behind corner* Um... Hey guys. Please don't kill me for taking so long. I have reasons, not excuses, but they can wait. I know you all have been waiting to read this chapter for so long, so I'll explain at the bottom AN.

Disclaimer: I don't own Pokémon or Percy Jackson.

Serena's POV

"Use Thundershock!" I commanded Nintendo. He obliged, sending a weak electric blast towards Elin's Goldeen. The Goldfish Pokémon flailed about helplessly as it tried to avoid the attack, and failed. ZAP! Goldeen fainted.

"Goldeen, no!" The Lass sighed as she returned Goldeen to its Poké Ball. The Marill she sent out next came out swinging. As soon as it had been released, it launched into a Rollout, subsequently launching Nintendo backwards and into unconsciousness.

"Return, Nintendo. You did great." I said, then threw out another Poké Ball. "Castor, you're up! Start out with a Vine Whip!" Castor materialized in a burst of light and grabbed onto Marill as it spun around to face him, still using Rollout. The two struggled for a moment, then Castor tossed Marill back a couple of yards.

"Keep that Rollout going! Don't let up!" Elin yelled. Marill had to have taken a fair amount of damage from that Vine Whip -type effectiveness and all that- but as soon as it landed, it shot forward, slamming into Castor.

"Castor!" I yelled. As he was flying through the air, Castor twisted around and landed on his feet, which was good. But as long as Marill kept landing that Rollout, it would soon make short work of Castor and the rest of my team. Then, a crazy idea popped into my head. Once, we had gone on vacation to Unova, and I had ridden the roller coaster in Nimbasa City. Could Castor's Vine Whip do the same thing as the tracks?

"Try to redirect Marill's path over your head." I called, hoping that he would understand my idea. Miraculously, he did. Marill went flying into the air. "Use Vine Whip again! Bring him back to Earth!" Game set match. Marill fainted.

"Marill!" Elin cried. "Well, darn. Good match, Serena. Your Pokémon should be proud of themselves."

"Thanks." I said as she walked away. I hastily returned my Pokémon, knowing they were still beating themselves up after what happened in the Gym Battle.

And if you cast your attention over to the left, you'll see the famous and world-renowned Line Break of Plot Convenience.

Silena's POV

After a little while, Serena let me, Castor, and Beckendorf out of our Poké Balls again. As she went over to Castor to revitalize him with a Potion, I walked over to Beckendorf to try and cheer him up. I knew him well enough to understand that he was still distraught about losing such an important battle. He was scratching at the ground glumly a few feet away, kicking up dust with his huge talons as he silently berated himself for losing. I padded up behind him quietly, then flicked my tail over his head and into his face, covering his eyes. He squawked in surprise at his sudden blindness, stumbling backwards and falling over. I couldn't help laughing as he struggled to get back to his feet without any arms to assist him. After about 15 seconds, he managed to get up, and turned to pout at me.

"You're mean." He told me, trying his best to look miffed, but the sparkling light in his eyes gave his amusement away.

"Well I had to cheer you up somehow." I replied, sticking my tongue out at him playfully. "You need to stop beating yourself up over what happened in the Gym. That was what, your third battle since you became a Pokémon this morning? You did a great job."

His smile faltered. "Yeah, I guess. I just wasn't expecting to be taken down by an explosion so soon again."

I stopped, feeling ashamed for having laughed at him. I walked up to him and nuzzled my head against him, pressing my face into his warm feathers in the best hug I could manage. "I'm sorry Charlie." I whispered. "It's going to be okay, alright? We're going to figure out why this happened." He nodded, closing his eyes and letting out a soft coo of contentment.

"Plus," I said, taking a step back and smiling at him, "as someone with two years of experience, I can tell you that it's really not that bad." He returned the grin, making my tail wag in happiness.

"Am I interrupting something?" Castor asked, freezing awkwardly as he walked up to us freshly recovered. I chuckled.

"No Castor, you're too late to ruin the moment." I smirked as I turned to face him and saw our trainer packing up her medicinal supplies.

"Oh good." He mumbled as Serena jogged over to us, slinging her bag over her shoulder.

"Hey guys, I'm going to take Solomon and Nintendo to train over there for a while." She informed us, pointing at the area that we'd battled Elin in. "I'm okay with it if you guys want to stay over here and talk about your..." She paused, grasping for the right word. "Situation. Just be careful and stick together. Don't leave the route either. See you guys in a bit." With that, she released our two companions, flashed us one of her signature brilliant smiles, and the three of them took off to get more powerful. Beckendorf, Castor, and I looked at each other.

"Should we follow them?" I asked the boys uncertainly. The two of them looked at each other, then back to me.

"Nah." They said in unison. I rolled my eyes, then cocked my head to the side. My ear twitched as I heard running water off somewhere to the right.

"Well then," I said, turning and beginning to stroll towards the source of the gurgling, "Who wants to go chill by the river?"

Castor shrugged as he started to follow me. "I'm down."

"Um..." Beckendorf called after us, not moving. "I'm not. Fire types and water... I may be new around here, but I get the feeling that those two don't mix very well."

"Too bad; it wasn't a question." I called over my shoulder, not slowing down. "Come on Charlie, you don't have to get in or anything. But we're supposed to stick together, and Castor and I are going to the river. Don't be such a chi- um, coward." A light blush crossed my cheeks as I remembered that now my boyfriend was, in fact, a chicken. Castor started to laugh, and as Beckendorf ran to catch up with us, I turned and used Sand Attack to kick dust in his face. "Shut up Castor!" I yelled, laughing as well.

Beckendorf caught up to us, chuckling. "Alright, now that I've caught up to you two..." He smirked and took off towards the sound of the rushing water. "Last one there is a rotten gryphon egg!"

"Hey!" I exclaimed, starting to run after him, leaving Castor quite literally in my dust.

... What? Were you expecting something funny for the line break? Is that what this story is for you? Just something you bring up to laugh at my stupidity? ... oh. Well, it's nice to know what you think of me.

After playing around by the river for a while, we were lounging on the bank. For a moment, I forgot that our lives had been transformed, after they were taken away. It was just like being back at Camp Half-Blood or the Underworld with my friends.

"Wow." I panted, tired from running around so much. "It's just like we're back in Elysium."

"Just like old times." Beckendorf agreed, a wide grin spread across his beak.

"Yeah..." Castor sat up and stretched his little Chespin arms. "I hate to be a killjoy, but shouldn't we talk about that? How the Hades did this happen?"

I sat up uncertainly. "I'm not sure. I woke up two years ago in the woods behind Serena's house the day she moved in, beaten nearly to death. I didn't remember anything about my previous life or the Underworld, but after a few seconds I got all that back. To this day though I still don't know how I got there."

"Wait." Beckendorf looked at me quizzically. "You appeared in the woods behind Serena's house the day she moved in? Doesn't that seem a bit... coincidental to you?"

"And the three of us know as well as the next demigod that in our world, coincidences don't exist." Castor said darkly.

'In our world...' Those words triggered the memory a revelation that had been earth-shattering initially, but over the course of two years had become as routine and basic as the sunrise. "But this isn't our world." I countered slowly. "The Greek gods have no power here."

"WHAT?!" The boys yelled in shock, jumping to their feet.

I looked at them, a little surprised that they hadn't noticed yet. "Yeah. Can't you guys feel it? It took me almost a month to get over just how foreign the ground and air feels. Watch, I'll prove it to you." I stood up, took a deep breath, and shouted, "Zeus is stupid and a bad ruler!"

"Silena have you lost your mind?!" Cried Beckendorf as he leapt back, and Castor dove behind the nearest bush. I waited, calmly looking up at the sky. Nothing happened. I was not burned to a crisp by a lighting strike. There wasn't even a rumble of thunder.

Castor edged out from behind his cover. "I-It's true..." He stammered, acting more scared and nervous than he probably would have had I actually been killed. "How... How?"

I shook my head sadly. "I'm not sure. Not even the gods should have enough power to send us to a completely separate universe. The only Ancient Greek contact I've had in this world was-" I froze mid-sentence, a cold chill running down my spine and causing all of my fur to stand on end.

"What?" Beckendorf prodded, looking alarmed. "Silena, what's wrong?"

"The Fates." I whispered, cursing myself for not realizing before. "All three of them showed up in a dream I had later that night. They said I'd been given a second chance." The boys shivered as they reached the same conclusion that I had: If The Fates were involved, then this had been meant to happen the whole time.

"But why?" Beckendorf asked quietly, voicing what we were all thinking. "Why would this be part of our destiny?"

"Not sure." Castor replied. "Do you guys want to go check out that tunnel?" He pointed behind us, where steps led up to a big brick opening in a hill.

Beckendorf and I looked at him. "That came out of left field, even for an ADHD demigod." I commented. "Why do you want to go in there?"

"Because," He replied as he started towards it. "All this talk about destiny and parallel universes is making my head hurt. I know I was the one who brought it up, but now I really wish I hadn't. Let's just forget that this could all be part of some prophecy, go check out that tunnel, and then go back to Serena to help her..." He stopped midstride and turned to face me. "What's Serena's goal for this journey? She never really said."

"Didn't she?" I asked frowning. Beckendorf and Castor shook their heads. "Oh. Well, Serena wants to become a Pokémon League Champion by beating the Elite Four and the current Champion in Pokémon battles."

"Okay." Castor said, resuming his stride. "Let's go into the tunnel, forget about the Fates, and then go back to Serena to help her become the League Champion."

Beckendorf and I looked at each other, then back at Castor, who by that time was up the first flight of stairs. Beckendorf squawked in surprise, and we both quickly started after him. "Hey Castor wait up!"

Okay, I REALLY hope that that chapter was good enough to somewhat make up for the long wait. Like I said, I'm not going to make excuses, because I know you don't want that. I do want to explain though. I swear that what we put in last chapter's bottom AN was supposed to be a joke. It's just... My schedule got really hectic really fast. Besides that, a lot of my friends and family have gone/are going through hard times in the past year. What between the stress of school, sports, extracurriculars, and family/friend matters, I was burning the candle at both ends. Now since football is over, my schedule is starting to slow down a little, which means I finally have time to recuperate. Hopefully I'll have more energy to do things now.

Also, some of you may have noticed that Crit wasn't in this chapter. Readers, I want you to know that we didn't get into a fight or anything. As far as I'm concerned, he's still my co-writer, unless he tells me otherwise. The only reason he's not in this chapter is that I just wanted to get this out. However, if you're reading this buddy, shoot me an e-mail.

But, I do have some pieces of good news for you guys! First and foremost, I'm taking an extra creative writing class this year. It's sort of an online class, but that's not important. What's important is that my totally awesome teacher has agreed to make my assignments the following: Write a new FanFiction Chapter every two weeks and show it to her! Hopefully this means that I'll be able to keep updating more than once a year.

Now some of you may be thinking, "Now hold on a minute Fantasysword. School's been going for 2.5-3 months now. Why haven't you updated sooner?", to which I say, well first off good observation. Secondly, I've been writing a few other stories that I haven't posted yet because I really don't want to seal their fates like this story's: doomed to an update every blue moon. I don't want to spoil very much, but I will tell you that there is a Five Nights at Freddy's fic, a Five Nights at Freddy's and Percy Jackson crossover, a Kingdom Hearts 3 fic, and a Mortal Kombat X fic in the works. Now comes your input. Do you want me to start posting them now? Or should I wait until I have more chapters written like I was going to?

Thirdly, there is another project that I've been working on, but I want you to discover it for yourself. To do so, go to the story Unexpected Attachment by Mozart's Fantasy. I highly encourage you to read the whole fic, as it's phenomenal writing, but what you're looking for is in chapter 13. I really think you guys will like it.

For now that's everything, and I mean it this time. No sneak peeks this time, sorry. I really, truly appreciate all of you sticking around for so long and being so, SO patient with me. To those of you who've been here since the beginning, I don't deserve dedicated readers like you. And to those who favorited and followed this story even though it seemed dead, thank you for helping re-ignite my creative spark. I'm looking forward to having more regular updates for you guys, but for now, this is Fantasysword92375, signing off. Happy Halloween everyone, and thank you.
