Hey guys! What is up! It has been a whole long while since I did this last. I am terribly sorry for the delays in getting new chapters up. After the last chapter was uploaded my computer broke and I didn't have access to another one for a while. By that point I had pretty much forgotten about this fanfiction and whenever I remembered it I was too busy or too lazy to write any more. But recently, I remembered that I have a account and so decided to check up on it. Much to my surprise, I had a ton of reviews complimenting my work and begging for another upload, and so I thought, you know, it's winter break. Let's let loose and write some fanfiction. I hope that I can keep up with writing these so as not to disappoint you guys again, but without further ado, thank you or your patience, and we will continue the story.

Zelda's POV:

'What is taking him so long.' I thought while waiting for Link to return. 'He said he was just going to talk to Eldin the Fire Dragon.' I huffed in mild anger. 'Well, I guess I will have to go get him myself.' I started walking towards where Link had left. As soon as I entered the brightly lit area, a wave of heat engulfed me and my clothes caught on fire. "AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" I ran out screaming batting at my burning clothes and rolling on the ground trying to put out the flames. 'Man! How does Link survive in there? All he has to protect him are some stupid earrings. Well, Din's earrings... but really?'

"Ha ha ha ha ha!" a deep voice rumbled.

I shrieked in surprise and turned around. There before me was Gorko. He was smiling and laughing. "You thought you might have even had a chance to get through there? HA HA HA HA HA!"

I was not amused and a scowl covered my face. "Well... I only tried to go in there because Link left over an hour ago to go talk to Eldin the fire dragon about the massive eruption. I don't know what's happened to him."

The Gorons face sobered, "Well, ok then. I'd better go in there to find out. I'll return in a short while I expect." And with that, he hobbled away in the direction Link had gone.

I sat down heavily and immediately regretted it. 'Oh, why didn't I get any magical earrings?' I thought rubbing my sore butt.

Link's POV:

I awoke on the ground in an unfamiliar area. As I looked up I saw the red sky of Eldin and the fire shooting out of the mountain. I sat up and looked around trying to get a good view of what was going on. I was on the other side Eldin Volcano.

"Hey!" a voice behind me shouted. I looked over my shoulder to see Silva, the Mogma, popping out next to me. "I see you are awake. But first: WOAH! What happened to your face?!" As I started to respond he cut me off. "It doesn't matter. Anyway, it was me who saved you from the volcano cavern and patched up your face." I noticed the bandages on my eye and cheek where the Bokoblin had sliced me. He looked at me puffing his chest out proudly. "What'dya think?"

"Tha-" I started again, but once more, Silva cut me off. "So, is there anything that you need done?"

"Not really, unless you can get your hands on a good healing potion," I answered hopefully.

The Mogma shook his head. "I don't have no potions," looked around "But there are some heart berries over there."

Indeed there were. I painfully stood up and walked over to the shrub that gave fruit with the ability to heal wounds. Reaching down, I picked a few off the branches and hastily shoved them into my mouth. Immediately heat flowed through my body and all the pain was lessened greatly. I took the bandages off of my face, the wounds were healed, although my eye was still gone. "Thanks for the help, but I've got to go and talk to Eldin the dragon about the eruption."

"Wahh! He's scary," Silva shouted. "You sure are brave to talk to him." He shrugged and began to dig away.

"Wait," I called and the Mogma popped back up. "Do you think you could try to find me something to cover this…" I gestured to my sliced up eye, "More permanently?"

"I'll, uh, keep my eye out." he shot back, snickering at his own humor, before diving back into the ground. I rolled my eyes and began to step back into the mountain. Another wave of nausea rushed over me and I fell to one knee. I clutched my head trying to keep from passing out. "Damn, I must have lost a lot of blood." I crawled back over to the heart berries and grabbed a couple more. "I think I need some more of these."

After a few minutes of rest, I was able to safely stand up and began my trek to the Eldin dragon again. I still didn't have my sword back, so I kept my bow at the ready, sneaking around the walls on the path.

To my surprise, there weren't any Bokoblins, or even keese inside the mountain. Maybe Eldin took care of them. I continued on.

It always astounded me how these tiny little earrings protected me from this heat. It must be over 200 degrees in here but I can't feel it at all. If I took one off right now, I would be burnt to a crisp! Just shows you how powerful the goddesses are, I suppose.

I turned the final corner to enter the fire dragon's chamber and jumped back in shock. There were about fifty Bokoblins trying to pull down the drawbridge to the dragon's lair. I couldn't take them all on. If I shot one down, they would all chase after me. I could tell that this was not going to work out.

"Oh Goddess!" came a whispered voice from behind me. "That's a lot of baddies." I turned around to see Gorko standing there, eyes widened in fright. "I don't think you can take on all of them by yourself."

"What are you doing here Gorko?" I whispered, trying not to alert the Bokoblins to our presence. They were pretty stupid, but had strong hearing. I certainly didn't need them coming after us right now.

"Zelda is outside worrying herself into a frenzy about you," the Goron pointed in the direction of the exit. "She's afraid you got hurt."

"Oh shoot. I forgot how long I was out. I passed out a little while ago from blood loss." Gorko looked at me eyes widening farther with concern. "No, I'm all fine now. One of the Mogmas pulled me outside and patched me up." The concern started to leave his face. "There were also some heart berries out there and they helped a lot."

The Goron's eyes sparkled and a smile crept over his features. "I am so fascinated by those plants. Do their berries actually hold life force within them? How are they grown if they do? What are they made of? It is so interesting. I need to get my hands on them!" He started talking faster and louder.

"Shh!" I hissed at him, and he covered his mouth. We both looked back at the Bokoblins to see if they had noticed us. One had looked back, but seeing nothing interesting turned back and continued to pull on the drawbridge. "Phew, that was close," I sighed in relief. "I see you are the scholar as always Gorko."

He gave a low chuckle, "Of course." Glancing back, he added, "We should probably be heading back though. We aren't getting anything accomplished here."

"Agreed. Let's go." We began to sneak out of the mountain.

Thank you all so much for reading. I will hopefully have a new chapter up within the next few days. I hope you enjoyed and please review!
