She totally rocks, you all need to check her out, in both her fics and her original publications.
"How bad is it?" Kim asked as she sat down beside Hayley. She saw the fighting on screen and saw Tommy fall to his knees before getting back up.
"Bad," Hayley replied without taking her eyes off the screen.
"This is the third battle this week," Kim remarked with a huff. "Tommy is already covered in bruises," She muttered remembering seeing those bruises when he got into bed last night. He was in more pain than she was and she was the one who was pregnant. It looked like she beat him and considering her mood swings lately, it was possible.
"Kimberly, do you want him to sit on the sidelines and let the kids fight?" Hayley asked finally looking over at Kimberly.
"No, I just want Mesogogg to be done with already," She stated. "I know they need his help,"
Hayley sighed, "I'm sorry; I wish I could make this easier for you. I know all this stress is not good for you or the baby."
"Actually my stress level is pretty low at the moment. I'm just angry I can't join him. I know they can watch his back, but I know his moves better than they do. I can close my eyes and find Tommy," Kim said.
"They are learning and Mesogogg can't last much longer," Hayley said looking back at the screen. "I'm working on trying to find a way to take him down,"
"Can you do that?" Kim asked remembering Rita and Zedd. As far as she knew there was no way to take them down. It was just a battle by battle basis. In fact the rangers never did beat them. The Machine Empire ran them off and Zordon's wave turned them good.
"I don't know but I'm going to try to figure it out," she said as Kim nodded and watched as the monster grew just like always. It was pretty sad the bad guys all followed the same script. It never really varied either. The rangers called their zords and defeated the monster minutes later. It didn't make her feel an easier but at least this fight was over. The rangers arrived back in the basement as Kim stood up.
"Kim, what are you doing down here?" Tommy asked rushing to her side. "Those stairs are too much for you," he growled as he scooped her up and took her back upstairs despite her protests. "I asked you not to come down here," the rangers heard him say as he and Kimberly disappeared upstairs.
"You know I'm ready for her to have that baby," Connor muttered as Hayley laughed.
"You are not the only one," Trent confirmed glancing back at the stairs. "I've never seen two people act this crazy."
"What?" Kira asked looking over at him as everyone powered down. "You were evil just a little while ago. You were the definition of crazy," she pointed out.
"I know but at least I had a reason for being crazy," Trent remarked. "The gem was evil and turned me. They are just expecting a baby."
"Dude, you realize they are two of the Original Power Rangers," Ethan said. "They are crazy without expecting a baby."
Kira rolled her eyes at the boys. "Why would you say something like that?" She asked. She didn't think Dr. O and Kim were crazy; they were just becoming parents.
"Because they thought it was a good idea to fight some an evil force they had never heard of because some floating head told him he chose them to protect the Earth," Ethan replied. "I didn't really believe Dr. O until his video footage of all the past rangers."
"Dr. O wasn't chosen by Zordon though," Connor supplied with a shrug.
"No he was chosen by the evil force the others were supposed to protect the Earth from; I'm telling you they are crazy without the baby," Ethan said as Hayley laughed. Tommy and Kimberly were crazy but then again, that's why they were loved among their friends.
"I'm sorry, Kira. I have to agree with the boys," Hayley said. "The stories that the others tell, all of the Original Rangers are just a tad crazy. I think some are more than a tad but they are all crazy," She said. "You have to remember that Rocky is part of that group."
"I don't think Trini and Jason are crazy," Kira remarked when they heard Kim yelling at Tommy. Apparently she was mad because he wouldn't let her move from the couch.
"I think that's my cue to leave," Connor said turning to the garage doors that opened into the woods behind Dr. O's house.
"Hey I'm right behind you, I don't need their drama," Ethan said jogging after Connor.
"You're my ride," Kira claimed as she eyed the boys. Trent was right behind Ethan and Connor. They were almost outside now.
"Yea, I know so if you're riding with me, come on," Connor stated as Kira huffed. She could tell that he wasn't bluffing. He would leave her here if she didn't start moving.
"Fine," she huffed, as Hayley smiled as she watched the four teens slip out the back before the doors closed.
She knew they just didn't want to encounter what was going on upstairs. It didn't bother her because she really wanted to know what Tommy was doing that was causing Kim to yell. The two of them could be on TV if they didn't have to keep being a Power Ranger secret.

"Tommy, just because my ankles are swollen, doesn't mean you get to carry me everywhere. The doctor said I could walk and he preferred if I kept my normal routine," Kim stated as she tried to stand up.
Tommy rushed back to her side to help her up as she held up her hand to him, "Stop, I can stand on my own."
"Kimberly, just let me help you," he said as she shook her head and stood up without his help.
"Wow this baby cannot come soon enough," Hayley remarked as she walked to the door.
She noticed that Tommy was still in his Power Ranger suit. She wondered if he realized it yet. If anyone walked into the house right now, they would wonder why the Black Ranger was fighting with a very pregnant woman. They would then want to know who the Black Ranger was and why he was with Kimberly.
"No, it is not time yet," Tommy stated. "The doctor said these last few weeks were very important. Our baby needs to stay inside of Kim as long as possible," He explained to Hayley as if she didn't take a high school science class. He had lost it.
"Hayley, please tell me that you need Tommy to check on something," Kim begged as Hayley laughed. She saw the despair look in Kim's eyes but she was not getting in between a husband and wife especially when the husband and wife were/are rangers.
"Sorry, I'm just heading back to the café," She replied.
"Tommy can help," Kim interjected quickly.
"No, I'm staying here with you," he argued.
"I'm just going to leave you two lovebirds alone, and Tommy you might want to power down. You don't want anyone to walk in and see the Black Ranger with Kimberly," Hayley said as she slipped out the door and left. She didn't want to get in the middle of their drama.
"What?" He asked finally noticing he hadn't power down yet. "Man, I'm really losing it," he muttered as he finally powered down as he faced Kimberly.
"Tommy, please just sit down," Kim pleaded as Tommy sighed.
"Please don't overdo it," He begged.
"I am fine. It's you I'm worried about," she whispered as he sat down on the couch. "How are the bruises?" She asked as she sat down beside him.
"The new ones or the old ones?" He asked placing his hand over her belly. "How is our baby?" Their baby chose that moment to kick which amazed both of them.
"One topic at a time," she said placing her hand on top of his. "Tommy, you need to rest. You are too old to be fighting with the rangers every time. I don't think we fought that much when we were their age."
"What should I do? They need my help," he stated. "I can't just leave them out there. I remember when my powers were not strong enough and I had to stay behind and watch you fight. I won't do it again," He muttered, breaking her heart. She remember those days and she didn't want Tommy to ever revisit them.
"Tommy, I worried about you," she whispered laying her head on his shoulder.
"Don't be, I can handle a few bruises," he remarked turning his head to kiss the top of her head. "As long as you are here waiting for me when I come home."
"So I'm to be one of those wives who would wait for their husband to come home from war?" She asked as he smiled.
"Yes," he said as she tilted her head to look up at him.
"You know I'm not the waiting kind of girl," She remarked with the sass he loved. "I am the take charge kind of girl."
Tommy shook his head as he leaned down and kissed her slowly. "You can be a take charge kind of girl when you deliver our baby," he said as he looked down at their hands over their child.
"I guess I have to take that deal," she whispered. "I will need to be the Pink Ranger though," She teased.
"I wish I could grant you, your wish of being the Pink Ranger again but there is no sign of a pink dino gem," he said as he stood up. "In fact I can't detect any more gems at all."
"So only five rangers?" She asked looking up at him.
"I guess so but the first team was only five rangers," he pointed out.
"Yea and we were awesome until this Evil Green Ranger came into our lives. If I would have been smart, I would have not lost my heart to brown eyes that flashed green," she teased.
"Don't worry those brown eyes that flashed green fell in love with a girl in pink from the first moment," he said with a smile remembering the first time he saw her in the Youth Center.
"Man, I've never heard such crap in my life," Jason said behind them. "Really, where are my best friends who take no prisoners?" He asked as Trini hit his arm and walked past him.
"I told you to behave today," Trini said as she walked over to Kimberly and sat down next to her.
"You know I think I need to start locking my door. What would have happened if you walked in and we were otherwise engaged?" Tommy asked folding his arms across his chest.
"I would pull you off your pregnant wife, then beat you up," Jason replied matter of factly. "She is too pregnant for you two to be engaging in bedroom antics."
"Says who?" Kim asked looking back at Jason.
"Don't mind him, he has been reading some pregnancy advice from the dark ages," Trini said glaring at her husband. "I told him it wasn't like that now but he didn't believe me."
"You know I find it uncomfortable to discuss what I do with Kimberly with you two," Tommy said as Jason laughed.
"Please, the only reason she is even in this condition is because you two had to violate an elevator," Jason remarked with a shudder. "Anyway we are here to help with the nursery."
"I'm too tired to do anything today," Tommy revealed. "We do have most of it set up though."
"Don't worry, Jason and I will do most of the work. Go get some rest; we saw the fight on TV," Trini said as she stood up. "Kim will direct us and if there is any trouble, we will find you," she stated as he sighed.
"Go on, I'll be fine," Kim ordered as he nodded and left the room.
"Man, how did he get those bruises?" Jason asked as he walked over to the couch. The bruises on Tommy's arms were nothing compared to the ones that covered his chest and back. She was glad that Jason didn't see those. He would demand some kind of powers just to protect Tommy.
"Mesogogg has stepped up his game. I'm not sure if the other rangers have bruises but Tommy gets new ones after every battle," Kim informed him. "He won't stay behind though."
Jason nodded because he knew why Tommy didn't stay behind. "Well we will let him rest today," he said as he helped her up.
"You know I can get up myself," she remarked remembering her argument with Tommy about the same thing. "I don't know what it is with you and Tommy with wanting to help me up."
"It's a guy thing," he muttered. "Also I didn't want to see you do that rolling thing with your belly."
"What rolling thing?" She asked not sure what he was talking about.
"It's like you do some kind of rolling motion that starts at your knees or something. It's weird and probably not good for the baby," he answered.
"Did you help Trini up when she was pregnant?"
"All the time," he replied as Trini nodded.
"Where is your child? I haven't seen him in forever," Kim said as they made their way to the nursery.
"I left him with my parents. They wanted to see him today," Trini answered. "Since we were planning to come here, it made sense to let them have their day with him."
"Thank you for helping. Tommy and I do have some things done but we both tire too easily to really get it done. At the rate we're going, the baby will be five before we get the nursery done."
"I understand which is why we are here today. Don't' worry; we will get it done before the baby decides to show up," Jason said as he hugged Kimberly.
Jason and Trini got to work on the nursery while Kimberly sat and watched them. She tried several times to get up and help but they ordered her to sit back down every time. She gave up fighting them, so she just directed them on where she wanted things. Most of it was getting shelves up and putting together the crib and changing table. She didn't have a mobile or any clothes since they refuse to know whether the baby was a girl or boy. She also hadn't picked out a color for the walls yet. She and Tommy needed to make some decisions before the baby arrived. The room would need to be painted before the baby was born due to the paint odor.
Jason and Trini listened as Kim complained about her weird cravings and swollen ankles. Trini smiled because she remembered those last days well. You never felt right in your body, nothing seemed to fit anymore, and the food was just plain crazy. She craved pickles at the time. The doctor told her it was because her body knew it needed more salt.
"Don't worry; you will be welcoming your baby home soon. It will make all of this body and mood changes worth it," Trini stated as she hugged Kim.
"I hope so," Kim whispered.

"Tommy," Kim said as she shook him awake.
"Is it time?" He asked popping up in bed. Since she didn't have much longer to go, he was always afraid Kim's labor would start in the middle of the night. Thankfully they had her hospital bag in the Jeep just in case because he knew it would be forgotten in his haste to get her to the hospital.
"Oh no, I'm just hungry," Kim whispered as Tommy groaned. He had hoped that her cravings would cease but apparently they were getting worse as she got closer and closer to her due date.
"Kim, it's like 2 in the morning," he stated glancing over at the clock on his night stand. The numbers seemed to taunt him about the fact that he should be asleep.
"I know but I really want some Rocky Road ice cream," she stated rubbing her belly.
"Kim, we don't have any ice cream. You ate the last of it yesterday," he said as she nodded. Shaking his head, he sighed before looking back at her. "Kim, are you sure?"
"Yes," she said as he nodded and got out of bed. She better know that he loved her because he didn't do this for anyone.
He quickly changed, grabbed his wallet and keys, before leaving to get Kim some ice cream. This was the third night in a row that she had a middle of the night craving. Last night she wanted a hamburger with onions and tomatoes but no cheese. The night before that she wanted pickles and peanut butter, he had bought more than enough in case she wanted it again but every night bought a new craving. He was glad school was almost over because he could barely keep up with his classes, fighting, and Kim's late night cravings.
Prom would be in a week and he wondered if Mesogogg would chose to attack that night. Their fight with him would need to be over because there were too many things that could go wrong during Prom. Once he got Kim's ice cream, he made it back home and handed her a spoon and the carton before going back to sleep. He was ready for this pregnancy to be over so he could have his normal Kimberly back.

"His monsters are getting stronger," Hayley said as she looked over at Tommy. They were going over the battle footage from the previous battle.
"I agree, but we are still managing to defeat them," Tommy stated. "I don't know how much longer the kids will be able to fight. This is getting to be too much for them," he commented as she nodded.
"How much longer are you going to be able to take this?" She asked. "Tommy, you look like you haven't slept in a week. You are bruises on top of bruises," she noted as he sighed. She wasn't telling him anything he didn't already know.
"Kim hasn't been sleeping too well at night. She is either having a weird craving or can't get comfortable," he revealed rubbing his face.
"She is probably worried about you."
"I know she is, but I can't stop her worry. I'm worried about her and I can't stop it either," he said.
"You can't continue to fight every battle, teach, and stay up with Kimberly," she said quietly. "Something has got to give."
"I know," he agreed. "I just don't know what," he muttered. It was something that he had been thinking about over the past few days. He still didn't have an answer.
"THOMAS OLIVER!" Kim shouted from upstairs.
"Looks like you are in trouble, did you eat all her ice cream again?" Hayley asked remembering that fight yesterday. Kim had wanted some ice cream and found out Tommy had eaten the last of it. She yelled for him, but he had turned invisible to hide from her. The bowl in his hand had given him away though because he forgot to set it down. Kim had thrown another bowl at him.
"No, I didn't besides she has ten different flavors in the freezer," he explained. He made a special trip to the grocery store to stock up after yesterday.
"You better go see what she needs."
"I will, just see if you can find a way to end this with Mesogogg," he said as she nodded. He ran upstairs to find Kimberly standing in the kitchen waiting for him to come up.
"What's wrong?" He asked her bracing for whatever she wanted now.
"You are what's wrong!" She yelled. "You got me pregnant and now I can't wear any of my dresses to the Prom with you. You asked me to go when you knew that I can't wear any of my old clothes. I'm staying home," she screamed as she threw her hands up in the air.
"Kimberly," he said pulling her into his arms. "You will not stay home. The dinos want you to be there and I want you at my side. If you need a dress, get the girls together and have a shopping day," he said calmly. If she needed clothes, then he would make sure she went shopping. It was easy to please the shopper in her.
Kim sighed as she wrapped her arms around his waist. "I'm sorry," she whispered. "These mood swings are killing me."
"Me too," he said placing his chin on top of his head. At least this mood swing was easy to fix. When she cried over the toilet paper commercial there was nothing he could do except make sure she never saw it again.
"I can't believe how I sounded just now," she said as she closed her eyes.
"Like a fishwife," he remarked. "Where is the levelheaded Pink Ranger, I married?" He asked as she laughed.
"She's knocked up with the White Ranger's baby," she remarked. "Hopefully she will return in a few weeks' time. Also we need to replace the lamp in the living room."
"Why? What happened?" He asked pulling back from her. He looked her over to see if she had any marks.
"I knocked it over," she replied. "I'm fine," she said before he started worrying. "I just forgot how big I was."
"It's just a lamp and as long as you are okay, I don't care about it."
"Well, we do need it. I like to read by it," she informed him.
"Okay, I will pick up another one tomorrow then," he said hugging her once again.

"What about this one?" Tanya asked holding up a pink dress for Kimberly.
She took Tommy's advice and asked the girls to take her shopping. It wasn't exactly turning out like she hoped it would.
"No," Kim replied with a sigh. "I don't know what I want," This was her favorite store, but everything the girls held up didn't spark her interest. It wasn't like her to not find anything she liked.
"Long or short?" Katherine asked as she sat down beside Kimberly.
They had her sitting on a couch near the dressing rooms so she didn't get tired. They just gathered up dresses and bought them to her for her to look over.
"I want to say long since its Prom but I just don't know."
"Okay what about color?" Trini asked hoping that they could at least get a feel for what Kim wanted. She had never seen her friend act like this while shopping. "Do you want to wear pink?" She asked looking down at Kim's baby pink t-shirt.
"I don't know. I mean it is my color." Kim remarked looking down at her shirt but looking back at the girls. "Do you think I should go with pink?"
"Honey, it's your dress." Tanya said. "I've never seen you this indecisive over clothes."
"I know." Kim agreed. "I'm just too old, too big, and too short for anything."
"Kimberly Anne Oliver, you are perfect the way you are. You are the same age as we are and we are not old," Trini stated.
"You are pregnant so you're not big," Tanya said patting Kim's baby bump.
"And yes you may be shorter than us but your clothes always look amazing," Katherine said as she wrapped her arm around Kim's shoulders. "Trust us, you are an amazing woman."
"Thank you," Kim whispered as her eyes watered. She loved these girls for taking time to comfort her.
"Don't worry, we will find you a dress," Aisha said patting Kim's shoulders. "It is our mission and we never fail a shopping mission."
"I know and thank you," Kim said finally smiling. "Let's find me a dress for the Prom." She stated as she stood up and began looking through the racks.
XXXX
"I thought Jason and Trini finished the nursery," Rocky said as he bit into his sandwich.
"Well we didn't paint since Kim was there. We didn't want her to breath in the fumes," Jason said. "She also got tons of stuff from the baby shower last weekend that needs to be organized."
"Okay," he said as the guys made their way into the nursery. The presents were all lying on the floor covering every available space. None of them had seen so many bags for a baby that wasn't born yet.
"Did you not put anything up?" Adam asked looking at Tommy.
"No, I just set everything in here. I was tired and Kim didn't feel like going through everything again," he explained looking around. They were truly blessed that so many people had gotten them stuff for the baby. The only problem was actually putting all the stuff away. He and Kim were just too tired most of the time to attempt anything with the nursery.
"Well we need to get this cleaned out before we can paint," Billy said as Jason nodded.
"Okay everything can go into the other bedrooms for now," Tommy said as the boys got to work on moving everything out. Once the room was cleared, they got out the rollers and paint.
"What color did you pick?" Tommy asked. "We don't know what we are having," he informed them, hoping that they didn't choose pink or blue since those were the normal colors for babies. Even if they knew the baby's sex, he wasn't sure they would have picked the traditional colors. Their entire lives were anything but traditional so it goes without saying that they would be different with their child.
"Don't worry; it's not blue or pink," Jason said as he opened up the paint can. He could see the worry in Tommy's eyes.
"It's green," Adam remarked as Jason held up the lid for Tommy to see.
"Yea, it can be for a boy or girl," Jason said. "Trini was torn between yellow or green since they can go for either a boy or girl. She went with green because of your first color though," Jason explained.
"I think it fits," Billy said, grabbing one of the rollers.
"Yea, Kim is going to love it. Thanks guys," Tommy said as they got to painting. The girls knew to keep Kim out all day to give the paint time to dry. Tommy knew she would love the surprise. She would also love that the guys had pitched in.
XXXX
Kim flipped through the racks as she tried to find something. Nothing seemed to fit what she had in mind. It was either too shiny, too short, or just not her taste at all. Everything was too young as well. The lunch they had made her sleepy and all she wanted to do was go home and curl up in bed with Tommy. She couldn't though, she had to find a dress today though because there wouldn't be another chance.
"We can try another store," Trini offered when she noticed Kim breezing through the racks without picking anything. The girls had shown her dress after dress in varying styles and colors. She had decided to be open to other colors. It had shocked the other girls but it opened up her choices considerably.
They had also ruled out anything with a zipper in the back because it pulled across her baby belly too much. Thankfully many dresses either had no zippers or it was located under one of the arms. She still didn't have a dress though.
"Okay, let's try another store." She said as they made their way out of the store and into another one. The mall was big but she wondered if she would find anything.
"What about this?" Aisha asked holding up a dress. It wasn't pink, or not all pink. She actually liked it. There was something different about this dress that called out to her.
"It could work," Kim muttered looking the dress over closely. "I'll try it on," She said finally excited about finding a dress. Trini helped her change into it and stepped back for her to look in the mirror.
"What do you think?" Trini asked as she watched Kim slowly turn in a circle to get the full effect of the dress.
"I love it," Kim whispered. "This is the one," She said as Trini smiled.
Two hours later, she was finally ready for the Prom. She had the dress, shoes, and jewelry. The girls followed her into the house since the boys promised food tonight. They all knew that meant either pizza or something grilled. It was all the boys wanted to eat when everyone got together.
"I see bags, so does that mean that Kimberly has a dress for the Prom?" Rocky asked as the girls walked into the house.
"Did you have a great day?" Tommy asked as he took Kim's bags from her and kissed her cheek. He knew she probably argued with girls to carry them herself. She was too independent sometimes.
"Yea, I finally found a dress and everything else I need," she replied. "Did you boys have fun today?"
"Yea," he answered as they walked down the hall to their bedroom.
Everyone else waited to see what Kimberly thought of the nursery. They didn't have to wait long.
"Why is the nursery door open?" Kim asked as she reached for the knob. It was not the day to see the mess in there. She had finally found a dress so it was a happy day. When she grabbed the knob, she realized there was nothing on the floor. There should have been a ton of bags covering the floor. She didn't see one bag.
"Did you clean up?" She asked as she pushed the door open fully. "Oh," she whispered as she looked everything over. The bags were gone, everything had been assembled, the changing table was stocked, picture frames were waiting for pictures, and to top it off the walls were painted. It wasn't pink or blue but a beautiful green. It wasn't the same green as Tommy's suit had been but more of a sea green that brightened the room. She loved it, and the guys who done it for her.
"When did this happen?" She asked spinning around to face him.
"Today," he answered. "While you and the girls were out shopping, the boys and I were busy getting the nursery ready. What do you think?"
Kim smiled as she started crying. "It's perfect," she whispered as she walked over to him. "Everything is just perfect. Thank you."
"Do you like the color?" he asked as he pulled her close.
"Yes," she said as she pulled his head down to hers so she could kiss him. This was the best surprise. This man was one of a kind and she was happy that he was hers.
XXXX
"What happened here?" Tommy asked in shock as Hayley and the dinos all walked in directly behind him through the exterior door at the back of the cave.
The place was a mess with chairs overturned, computers smashed, and lights dangling from the ceiling. There were even a few deep cracks that ran along a few of the support beams in the walls.
"I think you were attacked," Connor muttered as Kira elbowed him in the ribs. "Ow!"
"Shut up, Dr. O does not need your wise cracks right now," Kira whispered.
"Where's Kimberly?" Trent asked when he noticed that she wasn't around.
"She's at the spa with the girls. She got a gift certificate at the baby shower," Tommy explained as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm just glad that she wasn't here," he whispered as Hayley walked over to the computer and kicked it to the side. They watched as she knelt down and pulled something out.
"What's she doing?" Ethan asked as Hayley stood up and turned to face them.
"This black box will let us know what happened and who is responsible," She explained. "I'll grab a few things from my computers at the café and we will check it out."
"Do you need help?" Trent asked as she nodded.
Once Trent and Hayley left, the others got to work on cleaning up the debris so that they wouldn't get hurt just walking around down here. It was still a mess when Hayley and Trent returned 20 minutes later, but there was nothing they could do about it. Tommy helped Hayley set up the computer she bought back with her. Thankfully his screen still worked. It was the only thing in the basement that wasn't touched.
"It's Zeltrax; he's the one who trashed the Command Center," Connor mentioned. They all watched as Zeltrax took Elsa who was now human.
"Okay now I'm really glad that Kim wasn't here," Tommy muttered. "He could have killed her,"
"Who could have killed who?" Kim asked as she made her way down the stairs. "Whoa what happened here?" She asked when she noticed all the wreckage.
"Kimberly, don't take another step," Tommy ordered.
"Okay but what happened and who did this?" She asked looking at her husband.
"It doesn't matter, you need to get upstairs," he said as she glared at him.
"Tell me what happened," she ordered. "I deserve to know why the Command Center is trashed."
"It is too dangerous for you and the baby to be down here. I don't even know if everything is stable."
"If it's safe enough for my husband and the father of my child then it's safe enough for me," she said crossing her arms across her chest. "I'm not leaving until I know what happened," She stated.
"Zeltrax trashed it," Hayley said. "He also took Elsa."
"They are on the same side. Why did he take her? Why was she even here?" Kim asked looking from Tommy to Hayley.
"She is now human, So when we found her we brought her here to find out what she remembered and to keep her safe, " Tommy explained.
"Okay but why did he want her?" She asked again looking from Tommy to Hayley.
"We don't know only that he has her," Hayley replied as the alarm sounded.
"Really?" Kim questioned looking around in disbelief. "Everything else is trashed but the alarm works perfectly."
"Well the screen is fine too," Connor pointed out.
"Okay so two things are fine," Kim stated.
"Kim, please go upstairs until we get back," Tommy said before stepping back and morphing. The rangers left and made their way downtown to face whatever was waiting for them.
"Everything is safe enough for you to sit beside me," Hayley said as she righted two chairs. "I know that you will not go upstairs but you do need to sit down."
"You're right; I'm not leaving this basement. Thank you for understanding," Kim said as Hayley nodded.
They watched the rangers appear on screen and face down Mesogogg and Zeltrax. They were both quiet as they watched for a while until Kim couldn't handle the silence. "I don't think this will end pretty," she whispered as she watched the rangers take hit after hit.
They were throwing all they could into the battle. They had already sacrificed their zords against Zeltrax but he was gone, like their zords. She was glad considering all the damage he caused in the Command Center. Now they were battling Mesogogg with only their powers that their gems gave them.
"You need to take a few deep breaths," Hayley commanded. "I can't worry about you along with the rangers."
"Sorry," Kim said as she took a breath in and let it out slowly. "I just wish I was out there with them."
"I know you do but this is their battle, not yours," Hayley said gently as the rangers took another hit and landed on their knees. "I'm not sure if they will be able to beat him."
"Why?" Kim asked looking away from the screen to Hayley.
"They are giving him all they got and it's not enough," She explained. "I don't know how to help them."
Kim closed her eyes as she placed a hand over her baby. "They have to beat him," she whispered without opening her eyes. The baby was moving around and she knew it was because of her nerves. She couldn't settle down because the father of her child was fighting an evil being.
"They will," Hayley said placing her hand on Kim's shoulders.
Kim nodded and opened her eyes as the rangers tapped into their super dino forms and continued to fight. It was still an even playing field. Mesogogg seemed to power up along with them. Everything seemed to slow down as if someone had hit the slow-mo button on a remote. She watched as the rangers flashed their colors before firing away at Mesgogg. Smoke billowed around the fight and made it hard to see anything. The rangers along with Mesogogg fell to the ground as an explosion rocked Reefside.
"Please tell me they are alive," Kim begged desperately, as Hayley quickly typed away on the keyboard.
Kim kept her eyes glued to the screen as the smoke began to clear. She saw Connor, Kira, Ethan, and Trent all stand up but she couldn't find Tommy. "Where is Tommy?" She asked as the rangers looked around. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she scanned the area again but she couldn't find the man in black.
"I can't get a read on Tommy," Hayley stated as Kim shook her head. This could not be happening. It just couldn't. Tommy was alright. He was just not near the others. "I can't find him,"
"He's there," Kim stated. "I know he is," she whispered as she closed her eyes and focused on Tommy. Everyone always said they had a connection. Now was the time to use it. He would not be dead.
"Found him!" Hayley screamed as Kim opened her eyes and watched as Tommy walked out of the smoke.
She began to cry as she watched him make his way to the rangers. It shouldn't take them long to get back here. She needed to feel Tommy and make sure he was alive.
Ten minutes later the rangers finally arrived as Kim rushed into Tommy's open arms. She cried into his chest as she felt his arms wrap around her. This was the closest call yet, bringing her face to face to what she feared most, losing him forever while being powerless to stop it. Miraculously though he managed to walk away from yet another war and back to her awaiting arms.
"I'm fine," he whispered as the others disappeared. They all understood this was a private moment between Tommy and Kimberly. "Trust me, I'm alive and well."
"You could have died," She muttered against his chest. She sniffed as she finally stopped crying.
"But I didn't," he pointed out as she nodded before wrapping her arms around his waist. "Now we have some very excited and scared teenagers upstairs. They will need to discuss what just happened and what happens next."
"I know," Kim said as she finally pulled back. "But I'm glued to your side for the foreseeable future."
"Fine with me." Tommy said with a smile as he led her upstairs to the rangers.
Everyone's lives had just shifted back to normal. Mesogogg was destroyed along with their powers. Their lives as rangers were officially over. It was time for them to be normal teenagers again.
XXXX
Once news spread about Mesogogg's destruction the rangers all gathered at the café to celebrate. Hayley called in pizza for everyone while making the drinks and desserts
. The next morning, Kim woke up and looked over at Tommy.
"What was it like losing another set of powers?" She asked running her fingers over his chest.
"Actually I was happy to lose these because I knew it was the only way to defeat him," he replied. "I'm just upset because you had to watch."
"Those moments when I couldn't find you, were the hardest in my life. I tried to focus on our connection but I was too distracted. The baby started moving around. I'm not sure if it was to calm me down or because he or she were feeding off of my nerves," She explained.
"Are you okay? Do I need to take you to the doctor?" He asked sitting up.
"No, I'm fine now. The moment I saw you walking toward the others, the baby settled down," she answered with a sigh. "Please don't ever scare us like that again."
"I promise," he whispered as he kissed her. "You know tonight is going to be amazing."
"Why?" She asked smiling.
"Did you forget about Prom?" He asked running his fingers through her hair.
"Oh, yea, I did. I'm glad I went shopping earlier," she said placing her hand on his stomach. "You know you might get lucky tonight," she laughed.
"If I take you to the Prom, I expect to get lucky," he said before kissing her. "Now we have to be there early since we are the chaperones."
"How early?" She asked as he got out of bed.
"Around 6, I think," he replied.
"I guess I better get up then. I need to take a shower and start getting ready," she said as he came around to her side to help her out of bed.
"Kim, it's only 9 in the morning, you have plenty of time," he stated.
"Do you not know me at all?" She asked. "I need time to get ready for the Prom."
He laughed as he shook his head at her. "Fine, I'll be in the kitchen making breakfast," he said as he left their bedroom. Sighing she grabbed what she needed before getting in the shower.
XXXX
Trini had arrived a few hours ago to help Kim prepare for the Prom. Upon her arrival she and Kim banished Tommy to the guest room to get ready, while they took over the master bedroom. With Kim so close to her due date he wasn't going to argue with her. While the actual date was still at least two and a half weeks away, the doctor had said she could go into labor at any time. Everyone was making sure that Kim was as stress free as possible, while trying not to drive her crazy from it at the same time.
Honestly, he was scared that she would go into labor early. He wanted their baby to be healthy. One of the books, he read said sometimes if the baby was early there was a chance the baby would not be fully developed. Kim's doctor assured him the baby was fully developed but he was still worried.
The fact that the final battle was behind them, and all the fighting was finally over was a great weight off of everyone. He was most thankful that the other girls had taken Kim out for a spa day and that she was not home when the basement Command Center was destroyed by Zeltrax. She didn't even know he had gotten in till she got home and he told her about it. She took it in stride but he could tell she was happy she wasn't here. It would not have been safe for her and the baby.
He wished he could have shielded her from the final battle but Hayley couldn't monitor it from the café so Kim had a front row seat to all the action. While she was thrilled that he was back to being retired, especially before the baby came, she was still upset that they had taken the risk of battling Mesogogg. He could only imagine the thoughts running through her head when she couldn't find him once they used their gems to destroy the scaly psyhco.
XXXX
"I can't believe Mesogogg was defeated," Trini said as she twisted Kim's hair up. Thankfully they were almost done. She could hear Tommy pacing downstairs.
"I know; it's just too weird. I am happy though," Kim said as she applied her eyeliner. "I can't believe I'm going to the Prom."
"Yea since you missed your actual Prom, this is like your do-over," Trini said placing the clip to hold Kim's hair in place.
"You're right. I didn't even think of that," Kim stated.
Trini laughed before speaking. "Really? It was the first thing I thought of," she said before grabbing the hair spray. "Close your eyes," She said as Kim did. She sprayed the French twist before backing away to admire her handiwork.
"How do I look?" Kim asked as she opened her eyes to look at Trini.
"Beautiful and very pregnant," she replied. "What will the school officials say when they see how pregnant Tommy's wife is?"
"Well we are married," Kim stated. "I don't think they will say too much. The principal loves Tommy."
"I thought she hated him," Trini remarked.
"Well she did before Tommy saved her. She was Elsa, one of Mesogogg's minions," Kim explained.
"The bad guys are really screwing up the rangers cilvilan lives. I mean having a minion as the school principal is messed up," Trini stated as Kim nodded.
"Anyway, let's get you in your dress," she said as Kim stood up and took off her shirt. Trini wrapped the dress around Kim's body. She tied the ribbon in back to hold it place and rounded Kim as she smoothed the dress down over Kim's belly. "There, perfect!"
Kim smiled as she turned to look in the mirror. "Wow, almost like it's my Prom," she whispered.
"It is. Now let's get you to your husband," Trini said as she helped Kim slip on her shoes and led her to the living room where Tommy was waiting for them.
Just then, they heard Tommy yell up to them. Kim giggled when Trini shouted back at him. She couldn't wait for him to see her.
XXXX
At the moment her husband was dressed, and pacing the floor, waiting for her. While she was more than worth waiting for, at this rate they would be late. "Come on Kim, we are going to be late! It starts in twenty minutes," he shouted up the stairs from his place in the living room.
"Give us five more minutes, you can't rush art," Trini hollered back in answer. He thought he heard Kim giggle but didn't understand why.
He sighed and stifled a grunt as he started to pace again; he had already been waiting thirty-five minutes for her to emerge. Kim had insisted on her dress being a surprise, since she had not gotten the chance to attend Prom with him when they were in school because she left for Florida a few months before it took place.
He shook his head and laughed to himself as he thought about how it might be more than a few years late and under circumstances he never could have predicted, but he was finally getting to take the girl he loved to the Prom. That might explain why he was suddenly feeling like a teenager again, with his nerves a complete wreck from waiting to pick her up on dates.
Suddenly Trini came into view and said, "She's ready now and she's going to be the prettiest woman there."
Just then Kim stepped into view and she lived up to his nickname for her in every way possible! His eyes grew wide and his heart nearly skipped a beat, as he took in the vision that was his wife. She wore a calf length gown of bold pink silk that had a black lace overlay that muted the brightness of the material, and yet at the same time made it stand out sharply in contrast to the dark color of the lace. The dress wrapped around her like a glove and softly accented every curve she had, it even made her large belly look stunningly beautiful.
When she turned to show him the dress as a whole he saw it tied in the back with a matching pink ribbon that was done up into a tight bow.
Her hair was swept up in an elegant French twist that was held in place with a large comb that had pink rhinestone flowers that sparkled in the light. She wore earrings that matched the comb and her tracker necklace. The sleeves which were completely made of lace came to a tapered point at her elbows. She wore black sandals with small pink flowers to complete the look. He was happy to see that she obeyed her doctor's orders about not wearing heels. Her makeup was light and shimmery and was the perfect complement to her outfit.
"So do you like it?" Kim asked him as she started down the steps with her friend's help.
All he could do was nod his head as he was still speechless at the sight of her. Trini laughed. "Wow, he is speechless, that's a first!" She said before looking over at Kim. "Don't worry, that is a good thing."
When they finally reach the ground floor, he managed to regain his ability to speak. "You're a goddess!" He whispered as she smiled. "Seriously you're going to out shine everyone tonight," he informed her as he stepped towards her.
Kim smiled and even blushed a bit. "Thanks Handsome, you clean up rather well yourself," she responded. "Are you ready to go?"
"Go where?" He asked not taking his eyes off her. He was pretty sure he fell deeper in love with her in those moments. She was his vision for the future and he couldn't wait to share everything with her.
Both Kim and Trini burst out laughing at his question. "To the Prom silly, you are my date after all," Kim stated as she barely managed to quell her laughter.
He smiled brightly at her. "Yes I am, and I know I'm going to make every guy in the place jealous by walking in with the most beautiful woman on my arm," he said with a wink.
Kim smiled and shook her head at his statement. "So was it worth the wait?" She asked as took his arm before they head towards the door.
"Definitely," he exclaimed still smiling.
The last thing Trini heard Kim say as the couple left the house was, "Goddess huh? I could get used to that..."
"They should be locked up for that comment alone," She muttered as she went back upstairs to clean up the mess. She didn't want them to worry about it when they got back later tonight.
XXXX
As Tommy pulled the Jeep up to the hotel's valet parking, Kim was impressed at the sight of the place and the banner welcoming the students. She expressed her thoughts to her date, and his response to her was, "Wait till you see the inside," as he smiled brightly at her.
He quickly got out and after handing off his keys, made his way over to her side of the car and opened her door for her. As he helped her out of the car she says," Why, thank you," with a warm smile. The night was just like she imagined all those years ago, well except for being pregnant. She never imagined being pregnant at Prom.
"No problem, Beautiful." He stated.
They swiftly made their way inside, and the lavishness of the ballroom astounded her like Tommy promised her it would. "Whoa, this is incredible," She murmured.
The massive room was decorated in twinkling lights, streamers, and balloons as far as the eye could see. Everyone was dressed in their finest clothes; she found it an almost intoxicating sight.
"I was right; you are the most beautiful woman here," he stated with a proud smile as he brought Kim's hand to his lips and brushed his lip across her knuckles.
"Thanks, Handsome." she whispered with a dazzling smile as a slow blush was starting to rise on her cheeks. He was instantly reminded of the first time he asked her to a dance. She blushed a lot that day too.
They heard a voice call out to them from above their heads; they looked up to the balcony and saw Trent waving at them. They waved back. "Let's go talk to him." She suggested.
"Ok, it's getting a little crowded down here, anyway," he remarked as they made their way towards the stairs that led to the second floor. Once up there Trent came over and gave Kim a hug.
"Wow, you look nice. So any day now right?" Trent asked looking at her belly.
"That's what my doctor assured me, but I'm hoping to make it to my actual due date," she replied with a smile. "Tommy is worried about the baby not being fully developed if I deliver early," she explained as Tommy nodded in agreement.
"I can't believe you guys are going to be parents," Trent said slowly. It was still weird that the mentor of the Power Rangers was about to be a father.
"Some days neither can we," Tommy said.
"I know you both will be great. I mean you did a great job handling us," Trent commented as Kim nodded. "Well I guess you handled us while Kimberly handled you," he said as Kim laughed.
"Thanks, man, I think," Tommy muttered. He couldn't deny Trent's statement though because Kim did handle him.
Kim smiled at the complement. "Of course it easier with teens, the hard work is already done," Kim winked at him. "So what are your plans for the future?" She asked. Graduation was only two weeks away for the dinos.
"I start art school in the fall," Trent answered while beaming with pride.
Tommy knew this was something since Anton didn't like it. As if his thoughts conjured him up, Anton walked up to them.
"You ok with that?" Tommy asked looking over at Anton.
"Yes, I just want him to be happy. I'm happy to support him any way I can," Anton answered as he patted his son's shoulder. It was nice to see and almost brought a tear to Kim's eye. These hormones of hers were all over the map tonight. She was ready to have the baby, if only to be her normal self again.
"So, what's next for the man that has done it all?" Anton asked looking at Tommy. It was odd for Kimberly to even picture him as Mesogogg. It was like a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde situation except thankfully, Mesogogg and Anton split. She wasn't sure how it happened and she didn't really want to know. Anton was free of Mesogogg forever.
"I think settling down here, continuing to teach at Reefside, while raising a family. Just living a quiet life is all I really want," Tommy answered as he pulled Kim closer to him in a one armed hug and smiled.
"You sure about that, I hear the new principal is a real hard nose," commented the now human Elsa with a grin.
"He can handle it; he's used to strong minded women," Kim stated with a laugh.
"You'll be incredible," Tommy remarked.
As the two watched the sparks between the two adults in front of them as Anton asked Elsa to dance. They watched as the pair walked off, Kim giggled slightly. "They are so going to wind up as a couple," she whispered.
Tommy looked at his watch before speaking "Oh, I got to go."
"You're leaving already?" Trent asked.
"No, I have to introduce the band. Could you help Kim downstairs for me?" Tommy asked stepping away from Kim's side.
"No problem Dr. O." Trent answered.
As Tommy left, Trent offered Kim his arm. "After you Mrs. O." He said.
Kim smiled. "Why thank you," She said while taking his arm. They made their way slowly down the stairs because Trent was worried about her falling.
About ten minutes later Tommy was on the stage making a little speech to the crowd. He then introduced Kira and the whole room cheered. Quickly making his exit he found his way to his wife's side in the middle of the dance floor. She was in the middle of the group of the other dinos and their dates, making her easy to find. As Kira played they all cheered her on and enjoyed the music.
As the night wore on, the two of them had been dancing on and off for a few hours. In spite of Tommy's fussing over her that she didn't over tire herself, she was having a great time. When the current song ended, Kira announced that she and the band were going to take a little break.
"Let's go talk to her, I want to tell her what a fabulous job she is doing," Kim suggested.
"Whatever you want, Kim," he said with a smile. She was enjoying herself and he didn't want to take that smile off of her face.
As they start to work their way over to where Kira was they had only just managed to clear the dance floor when Kim stopped. Pain radiated from her lower back and wrapped around her belly. Grabbing Tommy's arm, she starts rubbing her belly hoping the pain will go away.
He instantly stopped and looked at her in concern. "What's wrong, Kim?" He asked as worry laced his voice.
"I suddenly don't feel very well. Can we just sit down for a little while?" She whispered trying to sound okay even though her voice takes on a tense tone.
"Sure, there are some chairs just over to the right that are vacant, we can sit there," he said in a soothing tone.
He started to lead her over to the chairs, when suddenly Kim felt something warm running down her legs. She stopped again and looks down to find herself standing in a puddle. She gripped his arm much tighter than before, causing her nails to dig into his skin through his sleeve. "OH, MY GOD!My water just broke,"she exclaimed in a slightly panicked voice while looking at him in wide eyed shock.
"What?" He asked either not believing or not truly comprehending what she just said to him. This was not the time for him not to understand. She needed to leave now so that she didn't give the kids a first-hand look at what unprotected sex in an elevator caused.
"My water just broke!" She said through gritted teeth. "I'm in labor; get me to the hospital NOW!" She all but loudly snarled the last word, as the pain from the first contraction hit her full force. She didn't think the first contractions were supposed to be this painful because if the later ones were more than what she just experienced, she needed some drugs. Screw giving birth without them. She grabbed her belly as the pain almost made her knees buckle. His eyes grow huge from shock as her words finally register in his mind.
"Now?" He asked as he managed to get her over to an empty chair. Thankfully no one really paid them any attention.
"Yes now!" She shouted quite loudly at him.
Her shouting catches Hayley's attention as she walked by. She hurried over to them when she saw Kim's face. "What's going on?" She asked.
"Kim just went into labor. We need to get her to the hospital." Tommy answered calmly as he watched Kim try to breathe through the contraction.
Hayley gasped with surprise. "Is there any way I can help you out?"
"Stay with Kim, while I get the car." He stated and tried to leave but was stopped by Kim grabbing his arm tightly.
"Don't you DARE leave me."She said in a more forceful tone then he ever heard come from her. Kim in labor was scary.
"I have to get the car Kim." He said to her.
"NO!" She practically growled at him as she gripped his arm tighter making him wince in pain. Did labor suddenly make her stronger? He never remembered her being that strong.
"Alright I won't go anywhere." He said to Kim as soothingly as possible, not only to calm her down, but get her to ease up on her vice grip on him. "Hayley, could you go get the car for me? He asked as he handed her the claim ticket.
"Sure thing, I'll be right back." Hayley answered before rushing off.
"Just breathe, Kim, it's going to be alright. Hayley will bring the Jeep around, and I will get you to the hospital. I will not let you have our first born child at a high school Prom," he promised her as he rubbed her back trying to calm her as much as possible.
"I'm scared, what if we don't get there in time?" She asked as her voice trembled noticeably. He pulled himself together because she needed him to be strong for her and their baby.
"We will, don't worry, even if I have to put my old car racing skills into use and break every traffic law known to man, I promise you we will get there," he stated to her in the most reassuring tone he can manage at the moment.
Just then Ethan and Conner walk up with their dates.
"What's wrong with Kim?" Ethan asked when he noticed her breathing weirdly.
"Kim is having the baby." Tommy answered still focused on Kimberly.
"You mean right this minute?" Connor asked in shock.
"YES!" Kim yelled. "And it hurts," She said loudly.
"I sent Hayley to get the car. Could you check if she is out front yet for us, Conner? Tommy asked.
"No, problem Dr. O." Connor said before he dashed off to do so.
"Is there anything I can do?" Ethan asked glancing back at Kimberly.
"Yeah, there is, call Jason and tell him what is going on. Tell him to start spreading the word. Here use my phone." Tommy said as he handed Ethan his cell.
"Ok." He said as he took the phone and started to scroll through the contact list.
Just as he is about to hit the dial button, after finding the right number, he hears Kim start to shout at her husband. "This is all your fault, Mr. Rainbow! I never should have gotten into that elevator."
Tommy looks stricken at her use of the term Mr. Rainbow. Hopefully no one caught the hidden meaning behind her words. "You can't mean that baby. I love you! Getting into that elevator with you was the best thing that ever happened to me," he stated kneeling down in front of her.
"Why, because you got a fear and panic induced lay?" Kim snapped harshly at him as the pain of another contraction tore through her body.
Her words hurt and shock him greatly, and it was a few minutes before he was able to answer her. "No, because it brought you back into my life and melted the ice around my heart I didn't even realize had formed there," he stated quietly. She had to know that she meant the world to him and even though they could have died, he was happy they were in that elevator. He was happy he got a second chance with her.
Ethan stepped away so that he could hear the person on the other end as he hit the dial button. He also wanted to be out of earshot if Kim said anything else more disturbing than she already had, which might make him drop the phone out of shock. Dr. O and Kim were like his parents and he did not need to hear about them having sex in an elevator or really anywhere. He preferred to think that they never had sex. It worked with his parents all the time.
After three rings the phone was answered by Jason. "How's the Prom, man?" He asked.
"It's alright," Ethan answered in a confused tone. Why was Jason asking him about the Prom?
"Who is this?" Jason asked when the voice on the other end had not been Tommy's.
"This is Ethan. He told me to call you and let you know that Kim went into labor at the Prom. They are just waiting on his Jeep, then they will be on their way to the hospital. He wants you to spread the word to the others," Ethan explained quickly.
"Ok, thanks Ethan. Oh and tell Tommy not to pay any attention to anything she says right now it's just the pain talking. My wife did the same thing to me," Jason said before he hung up.
Ethan walked back and handed the phone to Tommy. "Jason says not to pay attention to anything she says. It is just the pain talking, and that his wife did the same thing to him," he said.
"Ok thanks Ethan," Tommy said as he put his phone back in his pocket and thought about what Ethan relayed from Jason. If it was just the pain, then he was okay with what Kim had said but just in case it wasn't he still wanted her to know why he didn't regret anything.
Conner finally came rushing back in. "The car is out front ready to go," he said as Tommy stood up.
"Good." Tommy said as he reached down to wrap his arm around his wife to help her up out of the chair.
""We are going to the car now, Beautiful. It will all be over soon, I promise you," he stated trying to keep her calm, as he supported most of her weight, and helped her walk to the car.
"Don't give me that Beautiful crap, right now. I swear after this is over, if you ever try to touch me again I'll have Billy teleport that part of your anatomy to another dimension!" Kim growled at him.
If looks could kill, the harsh cold stare she gave him at the moment would have him stone cold on the floor. This pain talk was brutal. By the time he got Kim to the car his expression closely resembled that of a kicked puppy. With Hayley's help he got Kim in the Jeep.
"I'm driving," He stated in a sharp, steely tone that was cold as ice.
Hayley didn't argue with him, she just handed him the keys. She got in the car to help with Kim, as he climbed into the driver's seat. Once everyone was safely strapped in, he peeled out of parking lot like it was the starting line of a NASCAR race!
On the way there Kim's language got even more colorful and her insults even nastier as the pain grew worse. The more insulting Kim got, the faster he drove, running any light or sign they came to.
They made it to the hospital in record time, surprising a few nurses that had just walked out the hospital doors to see him pull in and jump the curb before coming to a stop a few feet from them. He quickly got out of the car, and hurried around to help Kim out of the car.
While a very pale and ashen Hayley got out of the car on wobbly legs and promptly walked over to the nearest bush and threw up. She vowed never to ride to the hospital with those two again. She didn't even know how Kim could stand it but she figured Kim was just in too much pain to even be sick over Tommy's driving. Once she recovered she quickly followed after the young couple.
After watching this, the first nurse said to the other. "Must be their first child."
"Definitely, but I've never seen anyone dress for the occasion before." The second agreed.
XXXX
"Kimberly, dear you know you didn't have to dress up for the delivery, right?" Her doctor asked as she soon as she walked into the room.
"We were at Prom," Tommy quickly explained.
"I'm pretty sure Prom is only for high school students," The doctor said as she pulled the stool over to the end of Kimberly's bed.
"We were the chaperones," Tommy remarked.
"I have some serious questions for the Principal then," The doctor stated with a laugh. "Now let's see how you are doing, Kimberly."
"I'm in pain!" Kim yells as the doctor nods and checks everything out.
"Did your water break?"
"Oh yea, right on the dance floor," Kim remarked.
"Well maybe those students will understand the importance of protected sex. You are a wonderful example for them," The doctor said as she moved back.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Kim asked as another contraction gripped her. "Oh I want this over," She breathed.
"Well you are in full labor. You are dilated 4 centimeters and 40% effaced."
"What's that mean?" Tommy asked.
"It means, we will be here all night," Kim groaned. "It also means I get some drugs."
"Yes it does, do you want an epidural?" She asked as she stood up and looked from Tommy to Kimberly.
"It's up to her," Tommy said.
"Of course it's up to me; I'm the one pushing a freaking watermelon out of a tiny hole," Kim muttered. "And yes, I would love an epidural."
"I will let them know and Kimberly, you must remember the man beside you wasn't the only one that got you in this shape," The doctor said calmly.
It was apparent she saw lots of crazy women in labor.
"You were a part of the act as well, and if I'm not mistaken you really enjoyed it since you married the man."
"Oh I don't want to discuss it now," Kim groaned as Tommy shook his head. Kim wasn't the only one who wanted her to already have this baby. His sweet, loving wife was a terror.
"I'll get you lined up for that epidural now but in the meantime, you might want to get out of that dress and into a gown. I would hate for you to get that beautiful dress stained," The doctor said before leaving the room.
Tommy stood up and grabbed the gown; the nurse had wanted Kim to put on earlier. "I can pull the dress over your head so that you don't have to get up."
"No, I need to get up for a moment," she said as he nodded and helped her to her feet. He untied the bow and pulled the dress off of Kim's body before helping her into the gown. He then pulled the comb from her hair and watched as it tumbled down.
"Thank you." She whispered as she ran her fingers through her hair. It felt good to have the comb out of it.
"Are you okay?" He asked brushing his knuckles across her cheek.
"I am," She whispered as he helped her back into bed. "I'm sorry for all the nasty things I said."
"Don't worry; Jason told me labor brings out the monster," he teased.
"I'm telling Trini he called her a monster while she was in labor with their son," She said with a smile.
"Okay well he didn't really say monster just that the pain makes you say things you normally won't," he explained. "But I do want you to know that I love you. You were not just a panic induced lay," he said taking her hands in his.
"I know that," she whispered as another contraction hit her. She breathed deep as the pain eased. "I love you, too," she said as another doctor came into the room. They didn't know this one.
"Hello Kimberly, I am here to give you, your epidural," he said as she nodded. "Now, I need your husband to help you up. You will need to stay calm because this will be going into your back."
"Okay." She said as Tommy helped her up. Her gown was open in the back. Tommy watched as the doctor injected the long needle into Kim's back. She tensed a little but then relaxed as the needle came out.
"Give it a few minutes to take effect," he stated before leaving the room.
"Are you feeling better?" Tommy asked as he eased her back down.
"Actually I do. The lower half of my body is going numb or at least numbing the pain. It's weird I still feel your hand on my thigh," She said.
"I hope that's normal," he muttered under his breath as another contraction hit her. "Are your contractions too close together?" He asked.
"I don't know," Kim moaned as the doctor came into the room.
"How's the pain?"
"Lessened but I still feel the contractions," Kim replied.
"Good, that's exactly what I want to hear. Now sometimes the epidural will speed up labor," She said as Kim and Tommy nodded. "Don't stress; your body knows what it's doing."
"Okay," Kim said as she took a deep breath and focused on bringing their baby into the world.

"Man you should have heard Mrs. O yelling at Dr. O," Connor said as he paced the waiting room.
"Connor, what are you doing here?" Rocky asked as he and Aisha rushed into the waiting room. "Shouldn't you be at Prom?"
"Well yea but I can't miss the birth," Connor replied as Ethan, Kira, and Trent walked into the room with coffee cups. "Besides they are waiting with me." he said as Kira handed him his cup.
"Guys, Kim will be angry that you are missing your Prom to sit in a waiting room," Aisha stated as Trini, Jason, Adam, Tanya, Katherine, Billy, and Zack all rushed in.
"Has she had the baby yet?" Tanya asked.
"Nope." Connor answered.
"Wait, shouldn't you four be at Prom?" Trini asked.
"Oh here we go again," Connor muttered. "We want to be here for the birth. We deserve to be here after tip toeing around them for the past few months," he said as Kira elbowed him. "You know you are going to have to explain my broken ribs to my doctor."
"Your ribs are not broken," Kira growled. "We are showing our support and Prom was pretty much over anyway," she explained.
"What do you mean over? It should last until midnight," Adam said as everyone finally sat down as Hayley came into the waiting room. She looked a little green but no one said anything.
"Well since Mrs. O's water broke at Prom, everyone was sort of grossed out including Kira's band," Ethan explained. "People are still there, but we decided it was better to leave than to watch people stand around all night."
"Who won Prom King and Queen?" Katherine asked.
"Who knows," Kira answered.
"Connor was named King," Hayley supplied.
"Wait how do you know?" Trent asked. "You rode with Dr. O and Mrs. O to the hospital," he pointed out.
"I took a cab back to get my car since it was still at the hotel. I thought the four of you were still there but when you were announced as King, someone shouted that you were already gone," Hayley explained. "I believe I heard Kira named as Queen."
"What?" Kira asked. "My name wasn't on the ballot."
"I didn't think you saw the ballot," Trent said looking at Kira. Everyone knew Kira's stance on Prom King and Queen since she had thrown the ballot away before even looking at it. She told them it was just another way the popular kids voted for each other.
"I didn't but one of the cheerleaders made a point to tell me that my name wasn't on the ballot," she said shrugging. "I guess they thought I would care if it was."
"Your name was on the ballot because I voted for you," Connor said shocking everyone.
"You voted for me?" She asked as he nodded. "Thanks," She whispered as the adults smiled at the two of them. They made a cute King and Queen.
"Does anyone know if Kimberly has had her epidural?" Trini asked as everyone shook their heads no. "Okay then, I'm going to find out and see if I can see her for a few moments."
"I'm happy she's going back there because I can't even stand up at the moment," Hayley muttered. "Please remind me never ride with Tommy again."
"How many of those Nascar moves did he pull?" Jason asked as Katherine handed Hayley her bottle of water from her bag.
"I'm not sure but I know he ran several red lights between the hotel and here," Hayley replied. "The sad thing is that it didn't faze Kimberly at all."
"Well Kim drives like he does so it probably didn't faze her," Rocky remarked.
"She was also in labor so she didn't focus on his driving," Jason supplied as he watched Trini nod and walk through the doors leading into the delivery rooms.

Trini found Kim's room and knocked on the door. She didn't want to disturb Kimberly if she was resting. The door opened to reveal Tommy.
"How is she?" She asked as he moved to the side and let her in.
"She's loving the epidural," He said as she smiled.
"I remember those hours; it's the best drug ever," She said looking over at Kimberly. "So, you wanted to make Prom night memorable?" She asked walking over to Kimberly's bed.
"Yea, of course, I mean you know I love making people remember me," Kim said with a laugh.
"I think you scarred some kids tonight." Trini remarked.
"Well maybe they will practice safe sex then," Tommy stated.
"I doubt it but they will know what happens as a result," Kim said as she took a deep breath.
"How are your contractions?" Trini asked as she brushed her hand across Kim's forehead sweeping the hair out of her eyes.
"Strong and close together," Tommy answered as Kim huffed through the pain. "Breath slowly, Kim," Tommy instructed.
"Wow, you should give lessons," Trini remarked looking over at Tommy. "I remember Jason yelling at me to breath. Of course, I had thrown something at him that he had to dodge, so I can't really be mad at him," She said.
"Remind me to never be in the delivery room with you and Jason," Kim gasped. "You are the two calmest people I know but with your stories about each other when your son was born, I'll stay in the waiting room."
"Yea, that's probably a good idea." Trini said as the doctor came in the room. "I'll leave now but you have a waiting room full of people. They are all waiting for Baby Oliver," She said kissing Kim's forehead before leaving the room.
"She didn't have to leave," the doctor said as she grabbed her gloves. "Now let's see how far along you are," She said as Kim nodded.
Tommy reached for Kim's hand and rubbed his thumb across her knuckles while the doctor checked her.
"Well are you two ready to meet your baby?" The doctor asked looking up at them.
"Oh yea," Kim moaned as another contraction hit her.
"That's good since the baby is crowning," The doctor said as she ripped off her gloves. "Let me inform the nurse and we will have your baby out in no time," She said rushing out of the room.
"Tommy, I'm scared," Kim said looking up at her husband.
"You are going to do great. I am right here at your side and nothing is pulling me away," he promised as his kissed her. "Lean on me because you know I'm strong enough for both of us," he whispered as the doctor and two nurses rushed into the room.
"Okay, show time," The doctor said as she grabbed a new pair of gloves. The nurses followed suit. "Now Kimberly, we are going to get your baby delivered in as few pushes as possible. I just need you to listen to me and push when I tell you too."
"Okay." Kim breathed as Tommy wrapped his arm around her shoulders.
"I'm here beautiful." He whispered as she nodded.
The next several minutes were tense as the doctor ordered Kim to push when she had a contraction. Finally after a few pushes, Kim and Tommy heard their baby's first cries.
"You did it," Tommy breathed as he kissed Kim. Tears were streaming down both their faces as the nurse wrapped their baby up.
"Boy or girl?" Kim asked as the nurse placed their baby on her chest.
"Boy," Tommy and Kim said together as the nurse nodded with a smile. The doctor finally finished with Kimberly and stood up. She looked at the new parents and saw the love between them and their new baby.
"What are you going to name him?" She asked as Kim looked up at Tommy.
"I don't know; we didn't discuss many names. Those we did we didn't agree on," Kim replied.
"You have some time, don't worry about it." The doctor said. "Now the nurses are going to take him to the nursery to get him cleaned up and check his vitals. They will bring him to you in about an hour."
"Okay, thank you," Kim said as the doctor nodded and left the room.
Later that night after everyone had left, Tommy looked over at Kimberly. She was feeding their son. It was such an awesome sight. He couldn't believe they had made such a perfect baby.
"Have you thought of a name?" He asked sitting on the bed beside her. He made sure not to jostle her and their son.
"Have you?" She asked looking at him.
"I thought about Matthew," he answered.
"I like it," she said looking back at their son. "Matthew Otis Oliver."
"Otis? Where did you get that name?" he asked.
"You don't like it?" She questioned.
"I like it but it's different," he said. "Is it a family name?"
"No, I just remember staring at it for several hours almost 10 months ago," She replied with a smile.
"The elevator," he muttered as she nodded.
"It's perfect," he whispered. "Matthew Otis."

Two weeks later, Kim and Tommy sat in the stadium with Matthew as they watched the dinos graduate. It was warm but she still had the baby wrapped up. They didn't need a sick baby.
"Can you believe they are graduating?" Kim whispered as Tommy wrapped his arm around her.
"No," He replied. "It just seems unreal that the school year is over and they are now walking across the stage to accept their diplomas."
"Well it's been an interesting year," she murmured as he nodded.
He became a power ranger again, reunited with Kimberly, and had a baby. Interesting didn't cover half of the story but he wouldn't change any of it.
Two days after graduation, Hayley hosted a party at the café for the teens. It gave everyone a chance to wish them well before they got busy this summer with getting ready for college in the fall.
"I guess you're all happy that Mesogogg is destroyed," Jason remarked looking at the new graduates.
"Yes, I would hate to skip out on college classes to fight a monster," Connor replied. He had been accepted on a soccer scholarship. He wouldn't have to leave the state but he would be several hours away.
"I'm pretty sure I would have had to turn over my powers," Trent stated. He had been accepted into an East Coast school. "I wouldn't want to fly back and forth for those battles. My wallet won't be able to take it."
"Yea I would have had to turn my over too," Ethan said. He was also attending an East Coast school.
"What about you Kira?" Kim asked as she handed Matthew to Tommy so she could eat.
"I'm not sure. I mean I'm the closest one but I think I would have turned my over too," She replied. "It would just be too difficult with trying to launch my music career, attend classes, and try to battle monsters."
"You know we had to give up our Turbo powers after we graduated." Adam informed them. "I think we were all ready to except for Tommy."
"Well you were all going to college; I was racing for my uncle to make some money," Tommy explained.
"Don't even mention racing to me," Hayley ordered. "I'm still sick over your driving."
"Sorry," Tommy said as Kim laughed.
"Don't worry; he used to be a lot worse," Kim informed her.
"I'm not even going to think about that piece of information," Hayley muttered.
"So our next big party is Dr. O and Mrs. O's wedding, right?" Connor asked grabbing another piece of cake.
"Hey, that was mine," Rocky shouted.
"Didn't see your name on it," Connor said with a shrug.
"You know I called that piece," Rocky said as he came over to Connor.
"If either one of you wake Matthew, I will kill both of you," Kim threatened. "And Rocky, this party is for the graduates." She said.
"But I called that piece," Rocky muttered as Aisha handed Rocky another piece of cake to shut him up.
"Anyway yes, our wedding is this summer," Kim answered. "I'm glad that we did something simple the first time because I would have killed someone if had planned something big while I was pregnant," She stated. "These plans are driving me crazy."
"It's just because you want it to be perfect," Katherine said.
"Of course I do. Our first wedding was perfect and this one has to be too," She said as everyone laughed.
Several hours later, Tommy and Kimberly walked into their house. Tommy set the car seat down and unbuckled Matthew. "I can't believe he fell asleep on that short of a drive," Kim remarked as Tommy handed him to her.
"Apparently my driving isn't that bad if our son can sleep through it," he stated as they sat down on the couch.
"Honey, he's part you so of course your driving doesn't affect him," She said as she snuggled into his side. "I can't believe the kids are leaving in less than three months. It just seems unreal."
"I know but I'm happy they have their futures somewhat planned even though life can throw you a curve ball in the form of an elevator."
"An elevator during an earthquake," She said with a smile.
"Oh yea, can't forget that earthquake," he whispered as he brushed his lips across her temple while looking down at their son. "Who knew an earthquake could create something so precious."
