-Chapter 7-
It was a cloudy, dreary day in Forks once again, which wasn't out of the ordinary for this small town. In fact Aria had actually gotten use to the days, and was disappointed when it was actually sunny.
She sighed, kneeling down to tie her sneaker shoe, before standing up to throw her hair in a pony tail.
"Running?" Emmett asked cheekily from the sofa.
She threw him a smile, "Do you even have to ask?"
He chuckled, before turning back to his video game.
"Be careful, it is supposed to storm pretty bad Alice said!" Jasper commented, watching her closely.
Aria just laughed, "Doesn't it always rain here?"
Bella nodded from her spot next to the piano.
"See you guys in a bit." She muttered, before opening the door and letting the cool air spread across her face.
After an hour of running, she sighed, stopping to catch her breath for a moment. The thoughts of Remus trickling through her mind had her feeling homesick and empty inside. Ron and Hermione had called her last night, telling her all that was going on. They were pretty much confided to head quarters, the Burrow, or Hermione's. She didn't tell them she felt slight glee when she heard that they were confided as well. Hermione's parents were back in England safe and sound, and it sounded as though the Weasley's were all doing fantastic as well.
The wind howled around the tops of the trees, and Aria knew if she didn't turn around now the rain would catch her soon enough. She sighed a moment longer, before turning back and dashing into the forest. Fork's forest was calming, besides the tree trunks and various bushes, it was a fairly easy run, it actually reminded her a lot of the Forest of Dean where Hermione had taken them when they were on the run.
The forest had become one of her best friends since she appeared in Forks. It always drew her in, reminding her of the Forbidden Forest at Hogwarts. She missed running through and seeing the wild creatures that lurked in the forest, sure Forks had wild animals as well, but she had a feeling that there would be more if not for the Cullen's.
She turned, picking up her pace as she neared the river she knew would lead her into the Cullen's back yard, sighing in relief when she saw the windows, coming to a stop once she entered the front porch.
"I'm back!" she acknowledged from the door, wiping her sneakers against the rug so Emse wouldn't kill her for getting mud on the clean carpet floors. She hummed to herself as she entered the kitchen to grab an apple, noticing Carlisle's brief case was resting against the kitchen counter, signaling that he was home.
She took a bite, listening to in crunch between her teeth, before frowning. The house was silent, not a soul could be heard. "Hello?" she called again, frowning when she got no response. She sighed, shrugging her shoulders as she walked through the front hall towards the back door to see if they were outside, stopping in front of the entrance to the living room.
Looking out the huge window she didn't see a soul in sight, taking another bite she shrugged again, thinking they probably went hunting or something.
A weird feeling seemed to sweep up her back, a feeling of dread making the hair on her arms stand up. She froze for a moment, before diving down to the ground as a spell came sweeping past her head and crashed into the wall behind her.
"Fuck!" she yelled, whipping her wand out from her sneaker and rolling to the other side of the door way as another spell came flying at her.
"CONFRINGO!"
She barely had time to jump up and move before another one was being hurled at her head, blasting the wall where she last stood apart into little tiny pieces.
Managing to get her bearings she finally threw her wand out and bellowed, "DIFFINDO!" she grinned when she heard somebody let out a screech and curse loudly.
"CRUCIO!"
Aria grunted as she dived across the floor, throwing one of the hall tables onto its side and crouching down to hide behind it. "EVERTE STATUM!"
"She's a fucking little girl get her!"
Aria narrowed her eyes, she knew that voice, Death Eaters she concluded, but why were they here, and how in Merlin did they find her?
"CRUCIO!"
She fought the urge to roll her eyes, always going for the dark spells.
"Come out Miss Potter, we have missed you so much." The voice taunted.
She stiffened, how many were there? And where the hell were the Cullen's?
"EXPULSO!"
She barely managed to slide to a different position when the table she was behind blew to pieces. The wall hit her back, and she almost sighed in relief as she managed to catch her breath. She silently peered into the living room, and her eyes widened in shock.
"Shit!" she hissed, as she dived back behind it and another spell was being hurled her way.
The Cullen's were frozen in place against the far wall, watching with wide eyes in horror as 4 Death Eaters took over their living room.
She closed her eyes in horror for a moment, 4 fully trained wizards against her.
"Potter come out!" one of them shouted.
"Expelliarmus!" she growled, diving back behind the wall as her spell hit one of the targets and a new wand slide into her hand. She grinned, cracking it in half across her knee.
"She stole my wand!"
Peter Pettigrew, she knew that voice, after all it was one that haunted her dreams.
"EXPULSO!"
"FLIPENDO TRIA!" Aria bellowed, ducking as the wall around her crumbled at the same time as her spell hit its target.
"FUMOS!"
Aria mentally cursed as a black smoke filled the room, her lungs feeling on fire, and her vision blurring. She felt around mildly.
"AVADA KEDAVRA!"
A loud thud was heard, and for one horrifying moment, Aria was sure that it was one of the Cullen's, and pure terror filled her insides.
The smoke was clearing and she looked down to see Crabbe Sr. on the ground, a look of shock on his face, dead. She managed to see through another haze where her spell must have smashed Goyle Sr. head into the stairway pillar.
"What are you doing here?" she growled out, her wand stretched in front of her as two more were pointed back at her.
Peter Pettigrew and Antonin Dolohov. Aria felt her insides fill with pure anger, two of the most important people in her life's murderers.
"Funny Potter we thought that rather obvious all things considering." Dolohov said, his eyes flickering over towards the Cullen's, "Funny finding you here with a bunch of Vampires."
Peter gave them a disgusted look, "Waste of magical ability for beasts like them."
"Funny you use to be best friends with a werewolf Peter, you know before your bravery ran out and your true pathetic nature came out!" Aria hissed through clenched teeth.
Dolohov smiled in glee, "Don't worry Potter he's in dog heaven now, you're welcome."
"Besides you'll be seeing him soon." Peter taunted again.
"VENTUS DUO!" Aria yelled out, causing both Peter and Dolohov to jump apart, "PROTEGO TOTALUM!" she shouted, pointing over to were the Cullen's were sitting petrified.
"CRUCIO!" Peter shouted, barley missing Aria by an inch.
She grunted as she stumbled backwards, "FLIPENDO!"
"It was a bad decision to fight back Potter, we could have just killed you and saved everyone the trouble, let these beasts get back to their normal living, you could have been the hero one last time before you died."
Aria flicked her eyes over to the Cullen's before focusing back at her target, "Funny, I've never had much time for heroes."
He growled, his teeth bearing, "FIENDFYRE!"
Her eyes widened for a moment, realizing she was trapped where she was at, "AGUAMENTI!" she shouted, coughing as water exploded all around her.
Dolohov looked infuriated at her soaking wet form.
"STUPFY!" she growled out.
"Pathetic Potter, you really think using simple spells will injure us, we're going to kill you and going to be with dark magic."
Aria's eyes narrowed, "LEVICRPUS!"
"Ahh," Dolohov taunted, "Close to being dark, but not close enough…IMPERIO!"
Aria grunted and dived, trying to ignore when some glass slashed through her shirt, "I would have thought you knew I can throw that curse off, obviously Malfoy Sr. and Old Tom didn't share all his secrets with you!"
Dolohov growled, "AVADA KEDVRA!"
Aria grunted, "PROTEGO SOLEM!" she could feel as it smashed into her shield, stumbling backwards a few feet as it bounced back off.
"NO!" somebody roared.
Aria stared in shock as Peter Pettigrew's fat face stared back at her in shock just before the spell smashed into his short figure and sent him flying out of the window.
Dolohov was having none of that thought.
"CRUCIO!"
"Protego!" Arai shot back, "ORBIS!"
"AVADA KEDVRA!"
"PROTEGO!"
Dolohov growled viciously, "ARESTO MOMENTUM!" he shouted, throwing a chair in her direction.
Aria sucked in a breath, throwing her arms up to protect her head as it smashed into her body, before rolling out of the way from another spell, ignoring the pain that swept through her body, and glass that was embedded into her skin, "AVIFORS AVIS!" she shouted, "BOMBARDA!"
The grunt of pain had Aria feeling a bit better, knowing she was keeping up.
"BAUBILLIOUS!" the wall to Aria's left seemed to explode into thousands of pieces.
"BOMBARDA MAXIMA!" she yelled back, shuffling to the side to avoid another spell.
"CARPE RETRACTUM!"
Aria started to back up in order to hide behind the wall, when her foot connected with her fallen apple, and she went crashing to the ground. Pain beyond belief exploded as her shoulder and arm smashed into the ground, the crack sounding loud and definite in the room. She shuddered in pain, a raspy breath escaping her lips as she rolled before another spell could hit her fallen form.
"Has little Potter fallen and hurt herself?" a voice above her taunted.
Aria opened her eyes to see him walking towards her, she desperately looked to her right for her wand which was laying a few feet behind her.
"I'll show you just how we Death Eaters treat pretty little girls like you honey." He taunted, as he walked closer.
Aria rolled, forcing herself to move as pain continued to explode across her arm towards her wand.
"You're not going anywhere Potter!" he growled, grabbing her ankle and yanking her backwards.
Aria yelped in surprise, wincing as her arm rubbed against the hard floor.
"I'm going to make you pay for killing the Dark Lord and ruining everyone's life!" he growled, rolling up his sleeves, "First I'm going to show you what Death Eaters are capable of, and then I am going to torture you to death."
Aria forced herself to relax a moment, and try to focus on her breathing so she wouldn't pass out from the pain that seemed to sweep through her arm. She felt for a hard piece of wall and grabbed onto it hard, waiting for her moment.
"You see the thing is Potter is I am going to become a hero now, killing you will make me a household name for years to come…"
"People won't care," she growled out, her voice coming out a little raspy, "Voldemort's dead."
"I can become the next one," he hissed, kicking her foot, "And my first set of business is to kill you!"
Aria struck, forcing her body to move as fast as possible as she chucked the piece of brick at his head, causing him to jump back in shock and his wand to fly down the hall, before diving behind her for her wand.
"AHHH!" Dolohov growled, grabbing onto her foot and yanking hard, causing Aria's body to smash painfully back into the floor, her teeth slicing upon her tounge.
She ignored the pain and the blood, gripping her wand tightly and pointing it at his throat, "I'm going to show you what pretty little girls like me do to Death Eaters like you!"
Dolohov had the decency to look a little unsure of himself, "Going to kill me Potter?" he taunted, giving her a wicked smile, "You don't have the guts."
Her eyes narrowed, "SECTUMSEMPRA!"
His eyes widened in surprise as the spell shot him in the chest, sending him back to slump against the front door. His mouth continued to open and close as he stared at her in shock, before blood started to drip from the corner of his mouth, and his eyes closed , his body slumping down and crumbled onto the floor.
She sat leaning against the doorway, hidden from view a few moments longer as she tried desperately to catch her breath. Her whole body felt shaky, and her arm hung limply by her side, aching something awful.
She closed her eyes a moment, before reopening them, 'The Cullen's!' she thought, she had to make sure they were okay. Pushing herself up into a standing position, she gingerly stepped around the corner back into the living room.
"Rennervate!" she hissed through clenched teeth.
Cold hands were pressing her down quickly as the spell left her mouth, and she hissed in pain as someone touched her arm a little too roughly, she peered up into the concerned topaz eyes of Carlisle.
"Is she okay?" someone squeaked, sounding terrified.
"What do we do?!"
"Help her!"
"Don't touch her!"
"STOP!" Carlisle's voice was loud and strict, and silence descended, except for Aria's ragid breathing. "Jasper I want you to take Rosalie, Esme, and Alice into the forest, take those people's bodies with you and burn them, do not come back until Edward, Emmett, or myself come back for you!"
"But-" Rosalie started.
"GO NOW!" Carlisle growled, scooping Aria's small form up into his arms and dashing into his office.
Emmett arrived first, tossing anything on the desk off as Carlisle placed Aria gently onto the table.
"What do you need?" Edward hissed, his eyes focused on her bloodied form.
"Warm water, get my bag too, grab towels and washcloths!"
Aria moaned from the table, her left hand covering her eyes as tears started to leak out of them, her fingers shaking.
Carlisle lifted her shirt, his eyes hard as he took in every cut and bruise that littered her body, "Emmett get me a bucket."
Edward was back with the warm water, and Carlisle went to work, cleaning cuts and using tweezers to get glass that was indented into her skin.
"I have to roll you," Carlisle's voice was soft and soothing, as Emmett gently turned her body to her left.
Edward inhaled sharply as he took in the bruises and blood that seemed to surround her whole back.
Aria whimpered in pain as Carlisle touched near her ribs.
"Does it hurt to breath?" he asked, grabbing some of the warm towel's and laying them across her bruised skin.
"No," she muttered shaking her head, "Just trying to catch my breath." She gulped loudly, "My arm and shoulder hurt the worst."
Carlisle stopped, returning the warm cloth to her back, "I think your shoulder is broken." He muttered more to himself as he walked over to rummage through his bag.
"Yeah," she muttered as they helped her into a sitting position. "When I fell I think I heard a snap or something."
Carlisle hummed, "I think I have gotten all of the glass out, however I'll need to get an xray of your arm before I wrap it." He watched her carefully, "You alright to go get dressed and I'll take you into the hospital?"
She nodded, jumping down with the help of Emmett before walking slowly to her room.
"Who were those guys?"
"Is she going to be okay?"
"What's wrong with her?"
"Shh," Carlisle scolded, "I need to go get ready and take her to the Hospital, we can talk about this later."
"But Carlisle-"
"Go clean the living room please?" he finally asked.
Edward went on his way, but Emmett stayed, watching the spot that Aria had disappeared too.
"She looked so small."
"She is a small little thing," Carlisle squeezed his shoulder, "She's strong son, she'll be just fine."
Emmett just shook his head.
"The others should be back soon, when they return I want you to go out hunting."
"I'm not going." Emmett growled.
"Not hunting will only cause more harm to the situation, I expect Albus to be visiting along with some healers from the magical world, I don't want an incident to occur-"
"I can't just leave her!"
"I'll be here-"
"Bu-"
"Emmett." Edward commented, giving his shoulder a squeeze, "Come on we will go now, and come back quickly, probably before they are even back from the Hospital."
With a bit more force Emmett was up and running out of the house, Edward close on his heels.
