"You sure you don't want to leave him here? I'm happy to take care of him for the night." Keroro's mother asked as Natsumi held the neatly dressed Teri in the air.

"Don't worry. It's fine. Giroro and I get enough alone time. We like to stick together as a family." Natsumi replied, placing Teri over her shoulder and bouncing him up to make him more comfortable. She was wearing a white A-line dress with a line of blue diamonds sewn around the waist. She had bright red lipstick and a pink jewel necklace on. "Besides, I really don't think he'll be that much trouble. We're just going to go watch a quick light show and eat dinner."

"Wait...light show?" Keroro's mother asked surprised, a gleaming smile appearing on her face quickly after. "You're going to the Cosmic Luminescence Display!?"

"That's right." a well-dressed Giroro walked in. "I had a lot of credits left over from before the invasion. I don't have any other use for them, so I thought I'd take us out somewhere special and just get rid of them."

"Good choice." Keroro's father walked in and stood next to his wife. "We've seen those lights. We went there on my wife's birthday a few years back. They're pretty pretty."

"Well, they'd better be." Giroro pointed out. "This is our last night here."

"Oh, they are! They only happen once a year. Almost every wealthy person in the galaxy attends. You don't know how lucky you are to get to see them." Keroro's mother told Natsumi.

Giroro looked at the clock, realizing that the show started in only an hour. "Well, we better get going if we don't want to miss them."

"Alright. Let's go, Teri." Natsumi said, carrying Teri over her left shoulder and opening the door with her right hand. "See you guys when we get back." She waved to Keroro's parents, who politely waved back. Giroro followed his wife and child out the door before closing it behind him.

Keroro stared out the window, watching Giroro and Natsumi walk down the street and disappear from sight. It had been a great three days here with his parents. He had gotten to play some of his favorite childhood board games with his parents again, gone out to lunch with his mother, gone fishing with his father, caught up with all of his favorite television shows and so much more. This had to be the funnest time he had had since before the invasion began. He loved it here. He didn't want to leave. He wanted to stay with his parents and spend the rest of his days on Keron.

Of course, he knew that he couldn't do such a thing. Natsumi, Giroro and Teri still needed him back on Earth. But why? What importance was he to their lives? He knew that they saw him as part of the family, but there was still this voice in the back of his mind telling him that he didn't belong there.

He felt like he belonged when Tamama was around, but unfortunately that part of his life was long gone. Even if Tamama had chosen to run away, he certainly would have returned after a week, whether it be to apologize or to avoid starving to death in the wasteland that used to be Earth. As much as it pained the green frog to his core, he had chosen to finally accept that Tamama was gone.

He felt like he belonged whenever he took care of Teri, but Giroro and Natsumi never seemed to be all that busy with their search for survivors officially over. Ever since that decision was made, Keroro hadn't seen Teri even once without his mother or father around. Keroro's job as babysitter was over. What did Teri really need him around for? What did any of them need him around for?

Keroro shook his head in frustration. 'Come on, Keroro. Pull your head out of your ass. It doesn't matter if you're not always useful. You're important to them, and that's all that matters.' he thought.

"Son! Come help your mother with dinner!" Keroro heard his father shout from downstairs.

"He's on vacation! Don't ask him to work!" his mother yelled to her husband.

"It's alright, Mom! I'll be right down!" Keroro yelled back. He walked away from the open window and made his way downstairs. 'Anything to get all this off my mind.'

Natsumi and Giroro stood in the entrance line, Teri having fallen asleep in Natsumi's arms during the long walk there. Three or four other Keronian parties were paying for their boarding ticket in front of them, each one dressed in the most glamorous attire Keron had to offer. Several of these boarding ships were sent all over Keron, along with every other planet in the galaxy. Once any wealthy customer paid for their ticket, they would board these ships and be taken to the Grand Star ship, which hovered directly in front of where the light show would be taking place.

Once they paid their fees and boarded the carrier ship, they were flown to the very edge of the galaxy, where the Grand Star was waiting. After all of the carrier ships had arrived, each of the passengers were guided to the main deck, where there were fancy white clothed tables scattered throughout the room, along with a stage sitting in front of a massive glass window that revealed where the lights would be appearing.

Giroro and Natsumi found a private table close to the center of the room and sat down. Natsumi slipped Teri into his highchair and buckled him in, relieved that he was being so peaceful. She turned to Giroro, who had an infuriated scowl on his face as he looked towards a small argument that was happening a few tables away.

The childish aliens were there as well, already making a scene of themselves. The brown one was, as always, complaining about pointless nonsense as the blue one was, as ALWAYS, defending his friend with the same gibberish while attempting to sound for sophisticated. Giroro watched as the two sock-headed nuisances yelled at a separate group of attendees, who apparently took the table that they wanted before they could get to it. Only those two could start an argument over something like that, considering all the tables were exactly the same.

"You alright?" Natsumi asked. Giroro turned to his wife.

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine." he replied, scooting his chair forwards and sitting properly. He and his platoon had ran into those two more than a number of times. Giroro knew from first hand experience how obnoxious those two could get. He knew that the best thing to do was ignore them, but there was still the worrisome feeling in Giroro's stomach that they would somehow end up ruining their night.

The minutes slowly passed. The childish aliens had finally been given the seats they wanted after the group they were yelling at admitted they couldn't take anymore. Mumbled chatter echoed throughout the ship as everyone waited eagerly for the show to begin. The lights across the ceiling slowly dimmed down, causing the crowd to quickly turn silent. The empty stage was suddenly lit up. A single grey Keronian walked on stage and stood at the very edge, facing the audience.

"Thank you all for coming! Welcome to the Cosmic Luminescence Display!" he yelled with enthusiasm, the audience applauding shortly afterwards. "Now, as always, please welcome our planetary leaders and your hosts for tonight's events, the Supreme Commanders!"

Three much taller Keronians walking in a triangle formation made their way onto the stage. Everyone except Giroro and Natsumi was cheering, the two having a decent feeling that most of them were in no way genuine. Only the Keronians cared enough about them to applaud, most likely. The two that walked side by side wore normal Keronian military helmets while the one in front carried with him a scepter, a cape and a hat with two horns on its side, similar to the hat of a viking. The one in front made his way to the edge of the stage and spoke in a deep, booming voice.

"Greetings. The Keronian Military welcomes you to tonight's festivities. You'll be glad to know that your gracious donations will be put to valiant use in keeping our soldiers and defenses strong." he announced. Giroro hissed furiously to himself. As glad as he was that he and Natsumi were able to even be there at all, he wished that he didn't have to pay the very army that had destroyed his home and killed most of his loved ones in order to enter. But of course, most of the income Keron made went straight to army funding anyway, so even if he had taken her somewhere less expensive, his money would have gone to them anyway. He quickly swallowed his anger and continued listening.

The leading Commander continued to ramble on about upcoming events and updates involving both the Keron Army and the planets throughout the galaxy that they watch over or already own through means of invasion. Almost everyone ignored these announcements and only started applauding once the Keronians did. After this painfully long speech, he finally announced that it was time for the night's events to begin. The three Keronians stepped off the stage as the lights went out completely, leaving everyone to stare at the massive window behind it.

About a minute of staring at empty space passed by before a few small flashes of colored lights appeared in the distance. They quickly increased in size and brightness, soon covering all of what the audience could see. All of visible space was quickly layered with glowing sparkles of contrasting colors. They danced as though played to music, flashing and receding almost in rhythm with other lights of the same color. After staring at the mesmerizing display of neon colors for about a minute, Giroro turned to Natsumi, seeing a gleaming smile on her face as the lights reflected on her wide eyes. He smiled, glad to see his wife was enjoying this as much as he hoped. It was then he believed for a moment that coming to this planet, as upsetting as it was, was all worth it in the end.

Keroro shook his fists wildly. He was trapped in the battle for his life against his father in his favorite childhood board game. This was the third time they had played it since Keroro arrived, and he had yet to get bored of it. All he needed was to role a three and he would be the victor. On the other hand, all his father had to do was role a two. Both had the same chances, so all Keroro could do was pray that fate was on his side. He let the dice loose, watching as they rolled a five and a four. He grunted in anxiety as his father grabbed up his dice and immediately dropped them. They came up a three and a one. He grunted in the same manner.

"You two are gonna be here all night, you know that?" their mother chuckled. She watched attentively from the sidelines as she had already won the game quite a while ago. Her husband and son were simply in a battle for second place.

"Not gonna happen. I've had these dice since my days in the army. They always come through for me; especially when I'm this close." her husband reminded her.

Keroro hummed furiously as he rolled a two and a six. His father rolled next, getting a four and a one. "You can't beat me, dad!" Keroro yelled playfully as he rolled again, scoring a five and a three. He faced the floor in shame. His father rolled quickly afterwards. They came up as two ones.

"YEAH!" his father jumped up with joy as his wife cheered along with him while Keroro playfully screamed 'NOOOO!' into the air. "TOLD YOU MY DICE NEVER LET ME DOWN! This calls for a drink! Son, you want some too? I need to know if I should grab two bottles or three."

Keroro laughed. He was normally the sorest of losers whenever he lost a game, but at the moment, Keroro was having far too much fun to feel any kind of upset feelings. Everything just felt right. His parents being there with him, playing one of his favorite games of all time, laughing and loving the time they had without the slightest care in the world. It was a feeling Keroro enjoyed so much more than he ever had before. It was a feeling that he so desperately needed to feel again after all that had happened lately back on Earth.

This was what he wanted out of life. This is what he needed. This is what he didn't want to let go of. He wanted to keep this feeling. He didn't want to leave. There was so much more for him here than there was on Earth. But of course, he knew that he had to stay with Natsumi and Giroro. And especially with Teri. He was meant to live these three days to the fullest only because they were the only three days he would get to have with...his parents...again.

Keroro's heart sank. This could be the last time he'd ever see his parents in person. If not the very last time, than it would be for the next thousand years at least. That's most likely how long it would take for Keroro's crimes to be forgotten about. What was he to do when he got back to Earth? He could barely stand living a year on Earth without missing his parents. And that was WITH Tamama and his job as babysitter to keep him company. No matter which way Keroro looked at it, he could only see disappointment in going back to Earth.

His cell phone began to ring. He pulled it out from under the table and saw that it was an unknown caller. He walked out of the living room and out the back door to talk privately outside before answered the call. "Hello?"

"Keroro? This is Jirara."

"Oh! Hey, Jirara. You ready to come get us?"

"Yes. I'm on my way there now. I'm calling to ask you where Giroro is. I tried calling him twice just now, but he didn't answer."

Keroro figured Giroro wouldn't answer. The light show was probably going on at this very moment, so it was likely he chose not to answer his phone during the show, which would disturb the other guests trying to watch. "Yeah, they're at the Cosmic Luminescence Display. They left about an hour ago."

"I see. I think I know where that is. I can pick them up from there. You might want to start saying goodbye to your parents soon. After I pick them up, I'll come and get you right after. You wouldn't mind getting their bags packed back up, would you? I noticed that you left your bag on my ship."

Keroro sweated, waiting to ask the rambling Keronian a question. "Yeah, yeah, sure. Look, can I...I just...could we..." he stuttered. "How...how...is it possible that we could do this again any time soon?"

Jirara was silent for a few seconds before answering. "You really enjoyed your time here that much, huh?"

"Well...yeah." he sighed.

"I hate to tell you, but there's no chance. I came far too close to blowing my cover several times during this small trip. Getting hold of your parents, getting your disguises, everything nearly caused me to get caught by Keron's defenses. Hell, it's difficult just to make this call without them tracking the number. After all I've done, they'd be quick to kill me if they discovered my whereabouts. I couldn't do this again without being found out. A lot of my success thus far has mostly been associated with luck."

Keroro couldn't speak for a few seconds. This really would be his last time with his parents. As much as he hated the idea of abandoning Giroro and Natsumi, he hated the idea of going back to Earth and never being able to see his parents again ever more. But even still, he had to stay with Giroro and Natsumi. They needed him to be there, whether he liked it or not.

"Thanks. Thanks for...for telling me, Jirara. Just...just pick up Master Natsumi and Giroro from their date. Me and my parents will be waiting for you to pick me up at the same spot you dropped us off."

"Good. And I'll be sure to tell them that you're getting their bags for them. I think Giroro will be the most happy to get out of here, honestly. He'll be glad that he doesn't have to walk all the way back to your parent's house just to get his stuff. I'll bet walking in the streets must be hell for the poor guy."

"Wh-What...what do you mean? What do you mean he hates walking in the streets?" Keroro asked.

"Well, he didn't want to come here, didn't he? Did he tell you?"

"No, I...he...why would he not wan-"

A thought crossed Keroro's mind, causing his blood to run cold. Of course Giroro didn't want to return. These were the people that drove him insane. That killed his brother. That brought him nothing but centuries of misery. Keroro pulled the side of his hat in frustration. How did he not realize this before!? This was supposed to be their anniversary, and Keroro was forcing him to go to the one place he probably hated the idea of returning to the most.

"Keroro?" Jirara asked, receiving no answer back. "Keroro, are you ther-"

Keroro hung up. Slowly bringing the phone down from his head, he allowed himself time to take in all of this new information. Eventually, after making one final decision which even he had worried thoughts about, he turned towards the house and called to his mother. "Mom! I'm going to go pack up Natsumi and Giroro's things and take them back to where Jirara's picking me up!"

"What!?" she peaked her head out the window. "You're leaving!? Now!?"

"Well..." Keroro swallowed. "Y-Yes. I'm...leaving."

Giroro grabbed his plate from the recently brought out steaming stack, his wife standing behind him with a fully awake Teri in her arms. The light show had just ended, meaning that it was time for the buffet to open. Each of the attendees stood in an orderly line behind a large table filled from end to end with nearly every cuisine food known on Keron. Any aliens who couldn't stomach such foods were forced to bring their own, since it was Keron that had funded the entire event. Giroro and Natsumi didn't mind as much, so they didn't bother.

"BLECH!" the yellow childish alien spit his portion onto the floor next to him after a quick taste test. "This tastes like poop!"

"Than you should have brought your own, sir." the Keronian chef that stood behind the table said, annoyed.

"I PAID FOR A SHOW AND A DINNER! GO MAKE ME SOMETHING GOOD!" he threw his chest over the table and yelled in the chef's face.

"You should care about ALL of your customers' needs." the blue one said from behind his friend.

"God, this is bullshit." the alien man behind the two whispered to himself before angrily shouting at them. "Hey, could you hurry it up or get out of line!"

"WHAT!?" the yellow one yelled back. "DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" He began looking around for anything to strike back with before eventually just grabbing a fistful of food from the table and throwing it in the man's face. Teri saw this and laughed.

"Security." the chef placed his hand on the side of his head and said.

"N-No. Teri! Bad!" Natsumi said. Giroro turned to his wife once again, seeing her struggling to get a handful of food out of Teri's fist, which he had grabbed when she wasn't looking. Knowing that he wanted to try the same thing he saw the yellow alien do and throw it at someone, she grabbed his arm tightly and attempted to pry the food from his fist so that it would fall on her plate. Teri's lip began to quiver, indicating the first sign of crying.

"Teri, NO!" Giroro set his plate down and tried to step in and help her.

Natsumi pulled away when he got close. Her husband was never the best at keeping Teri calm, especially when he was doing something wrong and had to have something taken away from him. "No, it's okay. I got it, Giro-"

Taking the one opening he had while his mother was distracted, Teri tossed the food as far as he could towards the yellow alien, hitting him directly in the side of the face. Everyone in line froze with shock as Teri once again began laughing hysterically.

The childish alien turned his attention to the giggling baby, Teri's hand clearly dirty from having food in it. "You...WHY YOU!" He stomped towards the couple, causing Giroro to jump in front of Natsumi for protection. "THAT BABY THREW FOOD AT ME! I'LL BEAT HIM UP!"

Natsumi took a step backwards, holding Teri close to her chest as tight as she could. No one else in line decided to try anything. They only stood silently on the sidelines as the yellow alien, with his blue friend following close behind, made their way to Giroro and violently pushed him out of the way. Giroro fell to the floor with a loud thud, instantly getting back up before getting knocked right back down by a punch in the face by the yellow alien.

"Giroro!" Natsumi screamed as Teri began to cry from the sight of his father being hurt. The yellow alien walked up to Natsumi, his fist at the ready.

"THIS'LL SHOW YOU NOT TO-!" he yelled before being slapped across the face by an angry Natsumi.

"STAY AWAY FROM MY BABY, YOU FREAK!" she screamed in a tone that would normally make Keroro cower in fright.

The yellow alien slowly turned back to Natsumi, a purple bruise now covering the bottom half of his left cheek. In an act of overloading anger and revenge, the childish alien brought his hand back and slapped her right back. The crowd gasped in shock as Natsumi and her baby fell to the floor.

A gunshot is heard.

The crowd immediately turned silent. It stood there, standing straight up. Its own contents spilling out like running water down its back and sides. Finally, it fell over, landing in a splattered pile of its own brains.

The crowd screamed wildly. The women's faces all turned white as their children buried themselves in their mother's calm embrace. Some people ran. Others were too busy vomiting madly onto the ground in front of them. And some just stood there, unable to think or even breathe as they stared at the dead body in front of them. Natsumi was one of those people.

Teri was crying, but she couldn't comfort him. She stared on silently at the corpse of her attacker. A bloodstained hole shot directly through his head. Small clumps of brains and skull fragments of the alien continued to be carried out of his head by large streams of blood. His blue friend had already ran off in a panic. The body simply laid their, the alien's face now completely gone except for a few remaining teeth that stuck to the bottom of the hole.

Giroro's mind was blank. The world around him was no longer the world. Just a mural of moving colors. All reality had been blocked out from his mental being. His heart nearly stopped beating. His body shook with terror while his mind was entirely free from any thought beyond pure shock. His wife screamed his name, but for the first time in his life, these screams went unheard.

Finally, losing control of his body completely, Giroro dropped his gun.

Twenty Keronians dressed in armored gear ran into the dining room after responding to the chef's call. They jumped back in surprise at the dead body laying on the floor. They saw a blue-scaled alien women crawl across the floor with her child in hand and slap an orange Keronian in the face, waking him up from what appeared to be a daze.

"GIRORO! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!?" she screamed, looking her husband furiously in the eyes for what he did. Giroro cleared his head the best he could while attempting to speak.

"N-Natsumi...I...didn't..."

"YOU KILLED HIM, GIRORO! YOU FUCKING KILLED HIM!"

"That's the killer, men!" one of the guards yelled before they all frantically ran forward. They pulled out their set-to-stun pistols and prepared to fire, carefully aiming to not hit any of the panicking attendees around them. Giroro noticed the guards running towards them and quickly sprung back up. Grabbing Natsumi by the arm, he pulled her into the crowd of people and ran for the nearest exit, refusing to look back.

"Dammit! Don't let them escape! Fire on sight!" a guard in front called out just before the group of armed Keronians scattered.

The Supreme Commanders watched everything from the security footage on the upper floor of the ship. They saw the orange Keronian pull his gun out of nowhere, the yellow alien get shot threw the head, and the blue skinned female scream out "GIRORO!" when facing the murderer. The leading Commander turned to the other two, who he knew were thinking the exact same thing. That name sounded shockingly familiar, yet they couldn't place the face.

"We found a match, sir!" one of the Keronians sitting in front of a computer yelled. "Corporal Giroro; Age: 9840; Son of..." the Keronian paused. "Oh no."

"What!? WHAT!?" the Commander standing on the right said. He ran over to the Keronian and peered over his shoulder. He quickly read the two names listed under 'Parents' in Giroro's profile. His eyes widened. "The...the General."

A cold chill passed through the room the moment he said it. The leading Commander nearly dropped his staff as the second Commander took a step forward. "Wait, do you mean...but...that would mean he's..."

Their leader lowered his chin. "It's inside him. The program is inside him."

Told you this is where shit starts going down. I kind of wanted to go into more detail about what the cosmic lights looked like, but ended up taking way too much time on something that wasn't that important to begin with. I just really wanted to get the action going. And trust me, from this point forward, going it will be!

Also...I think I'm gonna need a name for the General if I'm gonna continue this story. Post something in the reviews if you got any ideas.

See ya'! ;)
