The next day…

"Zoom wants Dr. Light to send him your new emblem."

"Yes, we need it for bait. If we can get Dr. Light to take my emblem, throw it through the breach, then Zoom will come to collect my body and we can trap him."

"You know it took a lot of work to make that emblem, right."

"This is the woman who was willing to kill Linda in order to escape Zoom, but now she's willing to help us catch him?"

"She knows it's the only way."

"Before I left Earth-2, I worked on a serum to dampen Zoom's speed. All we would need it from Ramone to develop a weapon to deliver it."

"Oh great, that could be this years cold gun. Maybe another criminal could get it, and then we would have Sergeant Slow!"

"I would never let that happen, that's a terrible name."

"Are we forgetting how much more powerful than Barry Zoom seems to be? I mean if Barry can catch bullets, what's to say Zoom can't catch whatever you shoot at him?"

"That is true, but we have something that he doesn't, surprise. If we rig a projectile as Zoom crosses into the breach. He can't stop what he can't see coming." Wells said,

"Barry doesn't need to be faster than Zoom, he just needs to be smarter."

"Joe, voice of reason here?"

"We need a plan, and that's as good as any. As long as he can deliver." he said motioning to Wells."

"Don't underestimate me Detective."

"Patty needs us back at the station. I'll meet you there all right?" she walked back into the med lab and worked at the clearboard looking over some research papers. She sensed something was coming, she looked up and over to the entrance to the Cortex, she called her lightsaber from the nearby table. She got up and looked at the entrance, he heard a shout,

"Dr. Light's gone invisible! Lock the doors! Shut the doors!" her eyes went wide, she ran out of the Cortex and down the hall. She rounded a corner, but she couldn't sense Dr. Light anywhere." She saw Barry zip past her, Dr. Light was gone. She walked back to the Cortex where she clipped her saber to her belt.

"Dr. Light managed to hack into the lights of her cell. The whole building runs on fiber optics that operate on pulses of light. So she turned off the dampeners and used her powers."

"I told you how dangerous she was. You should have listened to me and sedated her."

"I thought I had convinced her that helping us was the only way she'd free herself from Zoom."

"Well, you thought wrong."

"Yeah,"

"Ok, Dr. Light is gone, so instead of assigning blame, let's try to figure out what we're gonna do next." Her phone started to ring, she looked down at it,

"It's Josh, I really gotta take this. Fill me in on the plan later." she said walking out of the Cortex and sitting down in the training facility,

"Hey, what's up."

"I'm lonely, come back."

"I know, but I have some… family stuff going on right now."

"When are you coming back?"

"Tomorrow,"

"Alright, but you owe me something for this." he huffed grouchily,

"How about an ice cream after school tomorrow?"

"Deal, but Karen is in your seat today and it's not fun."

"Rough, has she talked to you yet?'

"No, but she has thrown like seven pieces of crumpled up paper and tripped me on the way back to my seat from the bathroom."

"I'm sorry Josh,"

"If I wasn't your friend I would hate you right now."

"Ok,"

"The bell rang, I gotta go."

"See you tomorrow,"

"Come on Esinon, we have some work to do."

"Coming,"

"Who were you talking to on the phone,"

"Josh, he's my friend from school. I told you about him already."

"Oh, what did he want?"

"We were just talking, he has no clue I'm Clairvoyance."

One hour later…

She waited in the training facility, she looked around at the cutouts that Linda would use to practice. Personally she didn't approve of this plan but she didn't have room to argue. She looked up to see Linda in light's suit."

"This is ridiculous,"

"No it's not, you look just like Dr. Light."

"And with these gloves Cisco rigged up, you'll be able to do what she does." Caitlin said handing the gloves to Linda. She slipped them over her hands.

"Don't worry, they are totally safe."

"Ish," Harry interjected

"Ish?"

"Well, come on, it's gotta be believable, so they really do fire and make things explode. And you are gonna have to let her fire at you when she gets the bang of it." he said motioning to Barry.

"Who exactly came up with this terrible idea." Everyone pointed to Barry,

"It's not a terrible idea, the suit can absorb the blasts." Cisco said, they all shot him a questioning look.

"For real or ish." she said,

"What is a terrible idea to you Cisco?"

"I'd like to think that I can look on the bright side of things, okay? Positivity people!"

"Alright, alright, so just hit the one of me. Okay?"

"Got it,"

"Great." Linda fired and the blast went everywhere, Barry caught her,

"I'm just gonna adjust those a little, screwdriver." she grabbed it and handed it to him. He ran over adjusting the gloves and then ran back to the platform.

"Ok, so um, do the opposite of that and we'll have it."

A few hours later…

"No offense but there is no way Linda can pull this off."

"Well, maybe if she didn't scream every time she fired."

"Yup, Linda had a rocky start, but she can pull this off. I know she can. Did you find someplace near a breach where we don't have to worry about civilians getting in the way?"

"Yeah, there's a place by the docks that's usually deserted at night."

"Awesome, how are we doing with the speed damper."

"My tests indicate that it should work."

"It will work. I'll tune up Ramone's gloves, make sure they work better."

"Okay great,"

"Hey, we're actually gonna go through with this?" she asked,

"Yeah, we're doing this. I'm gonna have Iris get Linda ready."

"Yeah I'll go talk to him." Joe said walking out of the room.

The next day...

"I'm really sorry, but it will just have to be tomorrow."

"It's alright, my mom wanted to talk to me anyway tonight."

"Thank you for being so understanding."

"What are friends for," he hung up, she looked around, t-minus four hours.

Six hours later…

Their plan had failed, but no one had gotten hurt and that was the important thing even if they didn't get Zoom. Cisco placed another emblem on the Flash suit,

"There you go. It's like you think these things grow on trees or something."

"And we threw away the last one for nothing."

"You've been going over this footage dozens of times. Everything went exactly according to plan." She heard the repetative tapping of the keys as Harry fixed his eyes on the security footage from the battle hours ago.

"If it had, Zoom would have shown up."

"Maybe Light was wrong, maybe he can't see through the breaches. Or maybe he finally decided to give up." Barry's phone buzzed,

"Hey, whoa, Iris, slow down. I can't understand you." Harry's watch gave off a large beep, and an alarm rang through the Cortex.

"Zoom has Linda."

"He's on the roof," she double tapped and ran out the door and flew up to the roof.

"Put her down," she finally saw the towering figure of Zoom, the dark suit, the pure black eyes, he was holding Linda.

"You like to fish with bait?" Zoom asked, his body crackling with blue lightning.

"Well I do too," he said holding Linda over the edge, she could hear Linda's small whimpers and pleas. Zoom dropped her over the edge her screams echoing, Barry disappeared over the edge. Zoom looked back at her,

"Brave are we?" she lunged at him, he grabbed her and threw her over the edge. Her boots kicked in and she safely landed on the ground. She stood next to Barry, they stared Zoom down, you could cut the tension with a knife. Barry started zipping around, she knew what was about to happen, he threw the bolt, Zoom caught it and hurled it back at him. Barry flew into the sign, before Barry could get back up Zoom zipped around and threw a bolt of blue lightning at her, she was thrown into the building, her right shoulder hitting it. She heard a sickening crack, she grimaced and grunted getting up. She looked up through blurred vision to see Barry pulling a dart out of his boot. She could vaguely hear what they were saying. She got to her feet, she watched as they zipped away. She watched as they free fell through the sky. He punched Barry over and over again, he left Barry's body and walked towards her.

"You shouldn't have messed with this." she could feel herself start to shake, her right arm hanging loosely at her side. He grabbed her and rammed her against the wall with incredible force. He slammed his foot down against the back of her leg. She couldn't help but scream out in pain, he grabbed her holding her above the ground, pressing his claws through her chest,

"Otherwise this happens." she winced as tears rolled down her face. Everything was blurry and all she could feel was pain. Dr. Wells shot a dart but Zoom caught it. "Never forget, I am the fastest man alive." He ran over still holding her body and shoved the dart through Barry's chest. He ripped the dart out and looked back at Wells, "You're next." He picked them both up and then they raced throughout the city. She passed out, the next thing she heard was gunshots. She opened her eyes to see they were in CCPD, she looked down to see Joe.

"You can have this one, she is of no worth to me." he tossed her over the railing. She hit the ground, her body curling, trying to protect herself. She heard the cops surrounding her, she could hear shouting. She opened her eyes a tiny bit to see Joe kneeling next to her.

"We are gonna get you back to Caitlin, but we have to move you. Now just squeeze my hand when it hurts." she nodded, she saw blurry visions of cops surrounding her. They picked her up and she squeezed Joe's hand as pain ripped through every inch of her body. She closed her eyes after they got her onto the stretcher and hooked her up to strange machines.

"This is all on you! If Barry or Esinon dies, you die!" Joe yelled slamming Harry up against the wall.

"Joe, their vitals are stabilized. Let's let him go."

"No Caitlin,"

"Why, what good would that do them?"

"It's gonna help me." Harry tried to leave but Joe shoved him back up against the wall,

"Joe, stop. Who's Jesse."

"How do- Jesse's my daughter. Zoom has her. You've, you did vibe me."

"Yes,"

"What did you see?"

"I saw your daughter. She was with Zoom."

"But she's alive."

"Yeah."

"Zoom sent you here like the others? You kill the Flash and you get your daughter?"

"The only way I get my daughter back is I capture Zoom. SO you understand, you love Barry, you love Esinon. I love my daughter. And none of these children are safe as long as Zoom is here. I tried on my Earth to capture him. I failed. I thought I could bring him down here with their help. I was wrong." Harry stormed off,

"When are they going to wake up?"

"For Barry it could be a few days." Caitlin paused,

"What about Esinon?"

"She's fallen into a coma, I don't know when she's going to wake up. She is going to go into surgery soon for her arm and later for her leg."

A few days later…

"Hey, I think he's waking up."

"Barry, Barry can you hear me?" Caitlin asked in a hushed tone,

"Hey,"

"You scared us, you were gone for a long time."

"How bad is it?"

"Bad, if not for your speed healing I'd be very worried." she said quietly,

"Linda, how is she?"

"She's fine, she's staying with some friends out in coast city."

"Zoom?"

"Let's, let's worry about Zoom when you're up and about, okay?" Cisco said patting Barry's leg, he started to rise up, Caitlin put a hand on his shoulder,

"Oh no, your staying put."

"Yeah, seriously, you got your butt kicked." Barry ran his hands over his legs,

"No, guys, I can't feel my legs." they both looked at each other,

"You have a serious spinal injury, your going to heal. You'll be up and moving." he heard a quiet whirring, and a loud breathing that sounded strained and tired. He looked over to see Esinon in a bed close to his, hooked up to all kinds of machine, a breathing tube down her throat, a mask taped over her face. Her right arm a yellow, purple, color in a cast, and her left leg in a cast too. You could still see the cuts on her face,

"Is she awake?"

"No, she's in a coma. She's not gonna wake up for a while."

"What all is hurt?" he said still feeling drugged from all the pain killers and meds.

"She has six fractures in her right arm, two fractures in her left leg, a broken femur, she crushed three ribs and she has deep cuts in her chest. That's why she has the breathing tube."

"Can we give her some of my cells to make her heal faster?" he asked groggily,

"We thought about that but we wouldn't be able to since your cells are dark matter infused. The dark matter could kill off all of her midichlorians and she could lose her powers."

"Oh,"

"You try and get some rest ok?" she said patting his shoulder gently, he looked back over at Esinon, her face and body were barely recognizable with all the machines and bandages holding her body together, all he could do now was pray.
