Ren sighed at the Havenfield pastures. She was there to make it up to Grady, Edaline, and Sophie for the damage and the rude behavior by helping them clean. Though Grady seemed to warm up, Sophie let her pet Iggy, and Edaline made some swizzlespice cupcakes, she couldn't shake off an uncomfortable feeling.

"Wow, Ren. You're more helpful than Grady," Edaline said, ignoring Grady's harrumph.

"Thank you, Mrs. Ruewen. It means a lot to me to have a chance to make up for my mistakes," Ren politely answered.

"Oh, please. You've done more than enough. Help yourself with as much as you want," Edaline smiled as she dashed out of the room to help Sophie with the vernominion, now wrestling Sophie with her hair.

She slumped down on her chair, more than exhausted by the grueling work. She jolted up when Biana came in through the Havenfield doors.

"Oh," Biana said with disgust. "You,"

Ren played with her lower lip. It was her nervous habit, apparently. "Do you not know how to knock?"

"Grady said I could come in, thank you very much,"

"Just leave me alone and go gossip about boys and makeup," Ren rolled her eyes.

"Actually, I want to talk to you," Biana's eyes flashed with irritation.

"Oh?" Ren leaned forward on her chair.

"Yeah. Stay away from Tam. He wants nothing to do with a freak like you,"

"Then why did he come to me after I went out of Havenfield?" Ren raised her eyebrow.

"Linh made him do it," she lied.

Ren stared, dumbfounded. "I-I don't believe you," She stuttered, not wanting to look hurt.

"You don't have to. You'll figure out yourself that aren't right for him," She glared.

"And you are? I didn't realize I needed your permission to like him, Vacker," She said her last name like a curse as she stood up. The chair made a little screeching sound as the legs scraped on the floor and d"Tell me, do you feel threatened since you aren't the center of attention anymore?" Ren's lips curved up in a sly smile.

"Oh, hey Biana!" Sophie smiled as she saw her best friend. She obviously didn't hear the conversation.

"Hey, Sophie," Biana returned a smile that didn't reach her eyes.

Ren cleared her throat."I'll leave. I don't want to stay too long. Plus, I feel like I need a shower," She smiled at Sophie as she grabbed Sophie's hands.

"Again, thank you so much. If you think I'm your nemesis, just know that I will never hurt you on my free will. It's nice to have you as a friend, Sophie," She sweetly hugged Sophie. Sophie smiled back, not noticing Biana's eye-roll.

"Please tell Mrs. Ruewen that the cupcakes were heavenly. So good,"

Ren then turned around and purposely bumped into Biana's shoulder.

"Oops," She said as she gave her a pointed look and pursed her lips. Then she flew away.

"She's so sweet," Sophie commented after she left. Biana stayed uncomfortably silent.

During the shower, Ren cried. She bit her lip so no one could hear her sobbing, even though Mr. Forkle was gone as another identity.

What if it was true? Why would Tam want to be with a freak like her anyway? Though she made it through without looking weak, what if she couldn't next time? She was broken, and she knew it. One day she would have to stop pretending.

Though the shower water stopped flowing, her tears did not.

I'm really sorry that this one is so short. But I'll post the next one really soon! Like, an hour later soon. PS, did anyone notice that the image shown in the fanfiction is supposed to look like Ren? Just putting that out there just in case someone didn't know.
