17 year old Kimiko Lee-Itsuzuki has been on her own for ten years. Deciding to go to public school, she enrolls herself in Ouran Academy. Between juggling the Host Club and her conniving Korean grandparents, watch how Kimiko makes a slip knot, casts off, and knits herself a family. Rating may vary. Genres may vary. 7. Chapter VII

CHAPTER 6

Kimiko looked up from her lap, voice-cracking as she finished her story.

"Oh, wow." Haruhi breathed.

Hunny sniffled, "Wah, Kimi-chan! I didn't mean to make you upset. Gomenasai!"

"Oh, Hunny-senpai, it's alright. That was 10 years in the past; I've come to terms with a long time ago." Kimiko consoled Hunny as she pulled him into her lap.

"Oh how awful it is that my daughter had to go through that, and at such a young age too!" Dramatically, Tamaki jumped up and waited around the room, mumbling nonsense on how they must fix Kimiko's 'broken heart'.

"So, if you don't mind me asking," Haruhi began, "Who took care of you as you grew up?"

"I had no relatives as both my parents were only children; I was sent to an orphanage and lived there until this year." Kimiko answered Haruhi's question.

"What about grandparents?" Kaoru asked.

Hunny had at one point moved off her lap in search of some cake, which allowed Kimiko it abruptly stand up.

"I have to go. My shift starts in 30 minutes."

Kyoya scribbled in his notebook.

"Wait, my darling daughter!" Tamaki shouted, pausing her in her rush to leave, "This weekend I will be hosting a weekend-fun-extravaganza at my mansion. Everyone is invited!"

"Uh, 'kay. Have someone text me the details." With that being said, Kimiko presumed her hurried exit.

Received Message from: [Unknown #]: "Kimiko-senpai?"

Sent Message from: [03-1111-1111]: "Hai. Who might this be?"

Received Message from: [Unknown #]: "Alright. It's Haruhi"

Sent Message from: [03-1111-1111]: "Oh hey Haru-chan! What's up?"

Sent Message from: [03-1111-1111]: "And I thought we agreed to drop the honourifics?"

Received Message from: [Haru-chan (03-2222-2222)]: "Gomen, Kimi-chan"

Sent Message from: [03-1111-1111]: "Aha sorry, it's alright"

Received Message from: [Haru-chan (03-2222-2222)]: "Okay. Well, Tamaki-senpai wanted me to text you the plan for the weekend"

Sent Message from: [03-1111-1111]: "Alright, cool. Lay it on me"

Received Message from: [Haru-chan (03-2222-2222)]: "Tamaki-senpai is insisting on all of us to gather at his house and spend tonight and possibly the rest of the weekend there. He called it 'family bonding time' and wants to do 'family bonding activities'"

Sent Message from: [03-1111-1111]: "Hm, sounds good. I got to get back to work, but I'll probably come over after. Btw, did Kyo-chan give you my #?"

Received Message from: [Haru-chan (03-2222-2222)]: "Yea, how'd you know?"

Sent Message from: [03-1111-1111]: "Eh, just a lucky guess. Ttyl ^-^v"

Notes: Damn. That messaging scene was a fucking pain in the ass to type. Gargh. Sorry this chapter is short. Wait 'til I get to typing and posting chapter 7.
