Author's interlude / apology / questionaire
hey everyone. i apologize for the delays in these chapters, my recent delay as been due to indecision. With the appearance of the new series of pokemon in the X-Y sagas and the promise of the Pokemon Sun and Moon sagas, im trying to decide whether or not to wait on these stories until the series is over. My one pet peeve is going against anything that is established as CANON. I don't have problems with evolving pokemon that haven't evolved yet, as long as it isn't specifically against potential canon.
In addition, my shipping attempt with Dawn and Ash, is now eclipsed with the series now actually recognizing AshXSerena. (possibly the first shipping that the show has actually explored to this extent).
In addition, Ash has had tremendous character grown in this series, both as a strategist, and of course his bond with Greninja. My story was supposed to be about how he starts that kind of character growth (from a child to an adult mentaility), but again, if i continue with that string of thought, it will be eclipsed by the existing canon...
Essentaially, idk what to do here, guys.
So i guess this is both an apology and a question for you all. Should i continue with the way i was going? or rewriting the story to include this latest series? It would simply be a question of adding some characters and adding some chapters before Iris and Cilan's fight, to keep the order from getting messed up.
I'm open to either, but my completionist nature is compelling me to start a rewrite/re-edit of this. If you all are anxious for more, let me know,
