Chapter Seven: The Talk

Point of View: Tania, daughter of Harold and Lashawna

"I cannot believe you did that. You are so stupid sometimes!" I yelled at Drake. He had just told me about how he had told Daphne how he feels about her in a song, but ignored her for the past week! What an idiot! Gosh!

"I know, I know. I was really stupid…" He said with a sigh.

"At least you know it was stupid." I told him, sighing deeply.

"I really need to know what to do. I can't hide this any longer." Drake said, groaning his head.

"Then just tell her already, man!" I told him, rolling my eyes at his stupidity.

"I can't! I just get so damn shy around her!" He yelled, grabbing my shoulders.

"Back the hell off. I'm only trying to help." I said, pushing him off me.

"Sorry. I just get stressed when cornered like this… I just wish I knew how she felt about me…" He apologized, letting go of me.

"It's okay man, just keep calm." I told him, crossing my arms over my chest.

"We should head back to the party, people might think we're up to something." He said with a chuckle.

"Yeah, I guess so." I told him, walking back into the living room.

It'd been an hour after my talk with Drake and I was out of my mind. I was trying to distract myself from the fact that I liked him.

"So, what's on your mind tonight?"

"Nothing big." I told Evan, who was now sitting next to me.

"I wonder where Ally went off to." He pondered aloud.

"Last time I checked, she was in the garage with Zacky. I don't even want to think about going in there since they've been alone." I told him. I knew he liked Ally, but Ally liked Zacky so much more than Evan. I don't think she should even be alone with Zacky anyway. He's trouble and all he's ever been is a womanizer.

"You should probably warn Drake that they're alone." Evan said, looking at me.

"I don't feel like talking to Drake right now." I told him, looking around the room to avoid eye contact.

"I'll go tell him then. Since you can't tell him that you like him." Evan said, getting up and walking out of the room to find Drake.

"You really need to tell him how you feel, Tania." I heard Al say. I just realized he had been sitting across from us.

"I know I do, I just can't. You really should have said something earlier, gosh." I said with annoyance.

"Just get over it and tell him." He insisted.

"I'm just going to get drunk. I'll see you around." I told him, getting up and walking outside to the porch where the tequila was.

"Heyyyyyy Tannnniaaaa….." Cyndi greeted. She was so wasted.

"Hi. Pass me the tequila." I told her. She handed me the bottle and I grabbed a red solo cup from the table next to us and poured a ton of the drink into it.

"Woah Tania. You should take it easy…" Nick said, wrapping his arm around Cyndi. Those two seriously need to get together already.

"Just chiiiillllllax, Nick…" Cyndi slurred out. I just couldn't believe how drunk she was.

"Trying to stop yourself from thinking about Drake?" Nick asked.

"Yes. I would appreciate it if you didn't bring him up." I said angrily between sips of tequila.

"Well, it's really time for everyone to get inside." Nick said. I looked at my watch and saw that it was already 3 am. Wow, where the hell did the time go?

"Dude, Drake and Zacky are about to fight. You might want to settle this, Nick." Evan said as he ran outside.

"Ah crap! Tania, watch Cyndi!" Nick yelled as he ran inside to stop the fight.

"Evan, watch her. I want to see this." I told him, running after Nick.

"Okay!" Evan called after me. I guess I shouldn't have abandoned him with Cyndi, but I didn't care. It was quite possible Ally could be in danger and I couldn't let my best friend get hurt.

When I made it to the garage, where Drake and Zacky were fighting, I saw the Ally was trying to pull Zacky off of Drake.

"Leave my brother alone!" Ally yelled at him. She must have had enough because she tackled him to the ground, dislodging his grip on Drake.

"Since when do you give a shit about your brother?!" Zacky yelled at her, trying to free himself.

"She's always cared about me! You're the asshole who kept her from seeing that I care about her!" Drake yelled, pinning down Zacky's arms down to his sides.

"STOP FIGHTING!" Nick yelled at the top of his lungs. I'm surprised there weren't more people the garage watching the fight. Zacky, Ally, and Drake all looked up and stopped fighting.

"Seriously, what the hell happened?" I asked before I could stop myself.

"Evan told me that these two were alone in the garage! And that you knew!" Drake yelled, pointing at me. "I walked in on these two having a grope fest!"

"Nothing was going on!" Zacky yelled.

"You wanted something to go on! I can't believe I ever liked you, you creep!" Ally yelled, getting off the floor and walking over to me, pulled me close. I could tell something definitely happened, she just wouldn't admit it until we were alone with Cyndi and Cyndi wasn't drunk.

"What did you do to Ally?" I glared at Zacky.

"I didn't do anything!" Zacky defended.

"I don't believe you." Both Drake and I said at the same time.

"Well, you don't have to because I know I didn't and she knows I didn't!" Zacky yelled, pushing Drake off of him and getting up, storming inside the house and slamming the door shut behind him.

"Nick, can I talk to you? Alone." Drake said, he gestured towards Ally and me when he said 'alone' so I knew I should probably head out with Ally. She looked up at me and we both walked out of the garage to get Cyndi from the backyard.

"And then my mom took us to this vegetarian place and the food there was soooo good! Like you cannot believe how good this food is unless you try it…." I heard Cyndi telling Evan as Ally and I walked to the backyard.

"I'll take your word for it. Here, Ally and Tania are here now, so you can tell them all about the vegetarian food place…" Evan said, looking back and forth before heading inside.

"Cyndi, something major happened between Ally and Zacky and we need to talk to you about it when you're not so drunk. You need to get some sleep and we'll talk about it tomorrow, okay?" I asked, looking her right in the eyes.

"Okkkaaayyyy…." Cyndi said, getting up slowly. "I think I'm going to…."

"Hold it in until we get to the bathroom!" Ally yelled. Both of us grabbed Cyndi's arms at the same time, picking her up and rushing her inside.

"Well, last night was quite eventful…" I said from my place on the floor next to the bed Cyndi was sleeping in.

"You can say that again." I heard Ally say from the other side of the bed.

"Can you keep it down? My head is killing me…" Cyndi wined.

"It's your fault for drinking so much. So do you want to tell us what happened between you and Zacky last night?" I asked Ally as I sat up.

"We were just hanging out in the garage and we ended up making out. I wanted to stop, but he kept kissing me. The Drake runs in, screaming his head off and pulls Zacky off of me. I'm glad he came in, but I could have handled it myself. Zacky was pretty messed up, though. He mixed weed and hookah together and it was not good." Ally told us.

"So basically, Zacky was being a dick and Drake overreacted. The usual." Cyndi said, "Can someone get me a glass of water?"

"I'll go get it." I offered, pulling myself up.

"While you're doing that, tell my brother you love him." Ally told me as I walked out the door. I just flipped her the bird and walked to the kitchen.

"Hey Tania. Is Ally okay?" Drake asked when I walked into the kitchen.

"Yeah she's fine." By the way, I love you. I said, saying the last part in my head.

"Good. Zacky's already gone, but I want to hear what really happened from her." He said, moving closer to me. As he got closer, I could smell his cologne, god I loved that smelled. I knew Daphne liked Drake, so I wasn't going to take that away from her. Even if she couldn't date.

"You can follow me to where she and Cyndi are." I told him, grabbing the glass of water that I had been filling up and turning off the sink.

"Thanks," He replied, following me to where the other two were.

"Oh thank you so much for the water!" Cyndi said cheerfully, grabbing it from my hands.

"Ally, what exactly happened between you and Zacky?" Drake asked his sister. The room seemed to be intensified with a malicious presence that filled the air.

"We were hanging out and started making out. I told him to stop kissing me and he wouldn't. Then you came in and pulled him off of me. You know the rest. I'm going home." Ally said, walking out of the room before her brother could say anything.

"Just let her go." I told Drake, putting my hand on his shoulder as he turned around to follow her.

"Fine, but you owe me for this." He said, looking straight into my eyes.

"We'll deal with that later. For now, we should help Nick clean up." I told him, turning and walking out the door to the living room. It was going to be a long day.
