Injustice: Guests Among Us.
Chapter 7: Akemi Homura.
Magical girls, a rare occurrence mostly limited to Japan. Such was the case of Akemi Homura, who gained power over time in her quest to save a person she deeply cared for. One of her travels back in time resulted in her timeline mixing with the one of Superman's Regime during the massive genocide, resulting in the death of many residents of Japan including other Magical girls and Madoka, the one Homura had been trying to save from a different death. Homura could easily go back in time and land within a timeline without Superman, but she wanted payback against the Kryptonian and his minions not only for Madoka, but for all those Superman had killed. Using her abilities to stop and go back in time, Homura slowly orchestrated the downfall of Superman: studying him and his followers repeatedly, pinpointing weaknesses and supporting the resistance without their knowledge when necessary. During the final battle, the mass murder that claimed Madoka's life in this world's original timeline, Homura confronted the High Councilor directly. The Man of Steel would have dismissed what seemed to be a japanese high schooler but the fact that she trespassed his fortress meant this girl was a threat, and no threat to his Regime would be tolerated. The High Councilor charged his Heat Vision but the girl whispered what seemed to be some sort of incantation in japanese and the tyrant felt suddenly weak, a result of a Kryptonite fragment Homura had previously sealed within his body and concealed with magic she had learned during one of her travels. Still a formidable opponent until the fragment fully consumed his powers, Homura battled the weakdned Kryptonian to further exhaust him while Superman tried his best to eliminate the girl with what was left of his abilities. Her arsenal was worthless against a Kryptonian under a yellow Sun even if weakened, but her power over time - an ability no one in this reality was aware of - ensured Superman would never score a hit. As time passed, Superman grew weaker to the point where even this girl's weapons were able to hurt him and it didn't take long for her to finish him off.
Homura had saved the world but her real goal remained incomplete, thus she decided to return to a time with no superheroes, villains or dictators. But before she could go back in time she was approached by the western equivalent of a Magical girl: Zatanna stood in front of the japanese girl. Zatanna's own magic eliminated the language barrier, allowing her to applaud the young girl's actions against the Regime. But Zatanna had more than compliments for her actions and her talent with magic... In her hands was the helmet of Doctor Fate, and with it an offer to gain power beyond Homura's wildest dreams. Power to protectthis world, other Magical girls... And the one she cared for.
A/N: Ok. I must admit that I only know anything Madoka by name and what I can gather from researching the requested character so I beg you all Madoka fans to forgive me if something is off about this one. If I made a mistake then feel free to point it out and I will correct it ASAP. Also leave your requests and any feedback if possible.
Some requests that I can't do for different reasons, be it the fact that I can't find a way to do it or personal reasons:
-Freddy Krueger: it would most likely follow the same concept of his MK9 storyline (final boss taking away his victims, Freddy will challenge Superman and you know the rest if you've played MK9).
-Goku: Yeaaaaah... No. I like Death Battle, but I don't want fanboys from either side breathing on my neck.
-Smoke (MK): similar reason to Freddy but being similar to Scorpion in Injustice. Someone summons Smoke and *insert tweaked Scorpion ending*
-I quote: "Corn from Soul Eater". End of quote: I looked that up in many ways and couldn't find anything. Wrong name, typo or what? I'll never know.
-Optimus Prime: I like Transformers as much as anyone (except Bayformers. To Hell with you, Michael Bay!), but I just can't find a way to make that work.
-Hulk: too predictable. It will inevitably lead to Hulk vs. Doomsday and I'm leaving that to Screwattack and the DB crew. Also I try to avoid Marvel vs. DC debates as much as possible... But Marvel IS wrecking DC on the live action department ;)
Any other request will be taken into consideration unless stated otherwise. Until next time, take care!
