Chapter 7: On my Own

Hah, I just realized something. I always skipped the strange disclaimers authors always write. So this is usually where the author apologizes to the reader for not writing for so long. Don't you hate it when authors just reserve a chapter for an author's note. I'm like, "I don't care how long it takes you to write a chapter! Just don't troll me by making a chapter for an author's note." Anyways, to Aaa we go.

Breathing hard, Fionna caught up with her favorite stretchy cat. "Cake, I'm coming with you," she panted restlessly. "Look, lady. Y'all need to get some rest, or you'll look like a wacky dong dofo. Okay?" I advised. Fionna always listens best when you add weird stuff. She blinked at me incomprehensively. Surprisingly, she didn't struggle. "Cake," she mused suddenly. "Yes," I pressed on. "I hate feeling so helpless. Prince Gumball is probably mad at me since I spread the plague to all his subjects... And they might die with me and because of me," she confessed. "Look, Fio. Gumball is you're friend. There is no way he could be mad at you. Besides, I'm going to find Ice Queen, clear all this junk up, and beat the brains out of her butt. I'm going to go on a date with Mochro as a cat, and all of you people will be cleared of the plague," I cooed uncertainly.
"Cake, what if it's not the Ice Queen, and instead it's Marshall?" she asked. This time it was my turn to freak out. Fionna's code was bros trust bros. I hated that vampire, but this was just weird. "Fionna, why would you think that? You must be very sick," I said as I reached up to touch her forehead. Fionna flinched as I touched her forehead. I brushed her ash blonde hair behind her ear.(A/N someone should totally ship the two sisters. I would do it, but I could only write crappy yuri.) I bit back my tongue in shock. "Fionna, you have a huge rash from your back to your neck. Yesterday, it was only on your back. You should go back to the Candy Kingdom," I stated. This time she didn't even respond. I tried to enlarged and trudged to Candy Kingdom.
I breathed through my mouth. I really did not want to be sick too. Besides, Fionna is heavier than she looks, and I could no longer grow larger. No wonder Fionna never walked. I gritted my teeth as I almost stepped into a pot hole. "Shoot," I cried. After an hour, I finally got there. I waved to the Gumball Guardians, who ignored me and kept on blowing bubbles. Huh, they're actually cute. "Gumball," shouted as I flung open the Royal Candy Hospital's door. Gumball scowled as he saw Fionna. "What is Fionna doing here? She already got most of us sick. Only I'm able to work here along with the nurses without getting that damn plague," the prince growled. I bit my tongue in shock, because I have never felt so much venom and hostility in the pink prince's voice. However that wasn't enough to thwart my plans of saving my sister. "You want bad? I'll give you bad. My sister has always adored you and loved you, but you never noticed her. Besides, she's always saving you from that cougar, Ice Queen. Next time you get kidnapped, we are going to throw you to that cougar, "I shouted. Then, not feeling the anger leave me, I gave the universal sign for f- you taught by Marshall Lee.
"Wait, I'm sorry. It's just all the stress; it's getting to me. Being the ruler of a kingdom is such a big responsibility you know. And I know it's not Fionna's fault," Gumball said as he tried to slip his hands through his hair. However, being made of gum, he couldn't, and his hands got stuck to his head. He then groaned and face planted on the desk. His face got stuck to the desk. Trying to lift his face from the desk, he swung forward. The end result was disastrous. His feet got stuck to the floor. "A little help here," he mumbled with his face muffled by the desk still glued to it as I stifled a laugh. "Ugh, I'm getting all melty because of the stress. I'm going to sleep," he muttered. I turned my full attention on Fionna as I gently put her down on the taffy bad next to the other moaning inhabitants. Nurse Poundcake petted my hands and said a few reassuring words. Convinced that Fionna was in good hands, I pivoted on my heels and walked away. I knew that I would be on my own for now.
I walked a quarter of the way to the Ice kingdom when I spasmed. I always did that when I forgot something. Before when I was a cat, my tail would ruffle up when things were going awry. Those days seemed so long ago. I puffed a breath of frosty air again as I felt an uneasy feeling settle to the pits of my thin stomach. I felt like I was shocked. Something was vibrating through my body, so I let out a stifled scream.
