Sailor Moon V.M. Secret of the Lost Princess
Chapter Seven: "An Enemy Within The Moon Kingdom!"
Present day Earth, in the Dark Kingdom's underground lair beneath Tokyo. Lord Charcon entered his laboratory, followed by Raider Venus, who was acting as his assistant, to his annoyance he noticed something was missing.
"Where are my Elemental Proto-Minions..! Who would dare steal my creations..!" he roared angrily.
"Ooh, Raider Pluto's using them on her mission..." replied Raider Moon, popping her head through the door.
"Mission..?" questioned Lord Charcon, puzzled.
"Yeah, Queen Beryl had her go back in time to the Moon Kingdom so she can assassinate whoever it was that's destined to become Vampire Moon... boss..." explained Raider Moon, "Oh and she's borrowed your errm, ceremonial silver dagger..." she added quickly, as she cringed at seeing Lord Charcon's anger.
"Back in time... the Moon Kingdom..? what a futile plan, how asinine, she will fail..." spat Lord Charcon irritably, although Raider Moon could not see his face under his hood, she guessed he was probably rolling his eyes
"Sir... how do you know she will fail... do you really have such little faith in us..?" asked Raider Venus, but Lord Charcon didn't reply, instead he simply slipped his hand under his hood and rubbed the side of his face, Raider Moon caught a brief glimpse of a viscous scare.
"Hmm, this however does present a fortunate opportunity for you my dears, I have a secret mission, a fun one for you two, oh and Raider Saturn can join in, it'll keep her busy, I'm sure you'll like it, one that'll cause plenty of trouble for our enemies... especially for Sailor Moon..." sneered Lord Charcon chillingly, with a malevolent chuckle...
Elsewhere in time and space, with the palace grounds of Silver Millennium, a battle was raging between the Moon Kingdom's Sailor Guardians and a small army of destructive Proto-Minions that represented different elements,
"Uh-oh, we're in trouble guys..! Shouted Sailor Uranus as she dodges a wall of ice...
"...Seems someone's come along..!" yelled Sailor Neptune, diving from some lightning bolts...
"...To burst our bubble...!" Cried Sailor Jupiter nearly getting struck by a ball of fire...
Raider Pluto stood over the unconscious body of Princess Selena with her silver dagger drawn. Sailor Mars saw what was happening and dodging a blast of clay from a Proto-Minion, she leapt to Princess Selena's defence and rugby tackle the Warrior Raider to the ground, only to be grabbed by Raider Pluto and tossed aside, who then wagged her finger mockingly.
"uh-ahh, no you don't... you can't stop me... no one can. why don't you cool your heels..." Raider Pluto chided in a condescending tone, she clicked her fingers and another Proto-Minion approached, before the still dazed Sailor Mars could react it breathed a blast of icy breath at her, freezing her in a block of ice, "Now watch as your precious princess perishes..." sneered Raider Pluto tauntingly.
"Fool! I cannot let you meddle in my mission... I need Princess Selena alive... therefore I must stop you... monster!" roared a chillingly familiar voice, the handsome man who met Princess Selena in the gardens stepped forward wielding a rapier.
"You're mission..!? Who are ... why do you seem so familiar to me..?" growled Raider Pluto. something about this man put her on edge.
"I highly doubt we've ever met... my identity is of no concern of yours, you'll be dead before you learn it..!" challenged the man coldly as he readied himself for battle...
Meanwhile in the dungeons of Silver Millennium, as the dungeon shook, Queen Serenity issued her commands to Sailor Venus, "Fetch me the Silver Moon Crystal and make sure Shadow Moon Crystal is secured...!" she ordered.
"You don't want to use the Shadow Moon Crystal!?" questioned Usagi incredulously
"I've never trusted that thing, I tried to use it once before, testing its power, but has a will of it's own, it's unpredictable and gets inside your head, it may be on our side but it's far too dangerous to use, I'm worried enough about using the Silver Moon Crystal as it is..!" , explained Queen Serenity warningly.
"Usagi... we can't use the Shadow Moon Crystal... not in this time period!" Chibiusa confirmed.
"Okay, I get it, we can't use Shadow Moon Crystal, but I have my Silver Moon Crystal, please let us help..." urged Usagi desperately.
"Very well..." smiled the Queen, with a wave of her hand the cell door unlocked and swung open, freeing the prisoners.
"Oh you'll like this, Princess Serenity" chuckled the 21st century Luna, Princess Serenity blinked in confusion.
"What will she like?" asked the Moon Kingdom Luna puzzled. the first Luna simply gave Usagi a nod and she nodded back in response.
"Moon Prism Power..!" yelled Usagi... she then, to Queen and Princess Serenity's amazement, transformed into... Sailor Moon, she looked at Chibiusa, "Hey, aren't you going transform?" she questioned, Chibiusa smiled and crossed her arms, shaking her head.
"Nah, you can do this, I think the Queen and Princess are confused enough as it is, I'll be your backup if you need it", Chibiusa giggled.
"If you say so Chibiusa..." replied Sailor Moon, raising an eyebrow "This looks like a job for Sailor Moon..!" she added, striking an exaggerated superhero pose.
"Hurry it up Sailor Moon, we need to save Princess Selena!" her Luna barked impatiently.
"Oh right!" gasped Sailor Moon, fumbling over.
"Are you sure she's me..? sighed Princess Serenity, incredulously...
In the palace courtyard a fierce fight rage between Raider Pluto and the handsome silver-haired man with a rapier, despite the one-sidedness of the fight, the unnamed man proved to be a formidable opponent which impressed Raider Pluto.
"I never expected such skill... but you're no match for me!" laughed Raider Pluto. as she launched an energy ball at him,
"It's unwise to underestimate me... I will be this kingdom's future, foolish girl... I am-!" snapped the unnamed man, as he leapt up, swinging his rapier wildly at his inhuman opponent.
"Ha! Stupid man...! You talk too much, you've no idea what you're up against... the future is here...!" she interrupted savagely, she struck him in the face with her dagger, knocking him back and wounding him badly. Raider Pluto once again turned her attention back to the still unconscious princess, "Goodnight sweet princess of the Moon, it's such a pity that the other one can't join you, but timelines and all that... it gets very messy if you change things too much..." she sneered wickedly, hovering over Princess Selena menacingly...
Just at that moment Sailor Moon came running to the scene, followed by Queen Serenity, Princess Serenity and Chibiusa, she saw the other Sailor Guardians fighting desperately against the relentless Proto-Minions as fires blazed around them, there wasn't many but enough to hold the Sailor Guardians back, Sailor Moon also saw what had happened to the unnamed man, who now covered his bloodied face with his hands in pain, she assumed it was blood.. but why was it green...? no, no time for that now... she had to stop Raider Pluto and save Princess Selena.
"Fiend, you dare to attack my Moon Kingdom in this time of peace!" spat Queen Serenity angrily.
"You evil witch... how dare you... you've gone back in time... attacked Silver Millennium... attacked the Sailor Guardians of this time... injured this poor man... and now you're going to murder sweet innocent Princess Selena, who's never in her life hurt anyone... someone special to me... just how dare you!" roared Sailor Moon furiously. Raider Pluto looked at her irritation.
"GAH! NO...! NOT YOU AGAIN!" Raider Pluto growled incredulously...
"That right... I'm the pretty Guardian... Sailor Moon! and and you're nothing but a terrorist and a bully... in the name of the Moon... and it's kingdom... I will punish you...!"
"But aren't you supposed to be locked up... something about pretending to be Princess Serenity..?" Raider Pluto sneered "Yeah, I've been spying on you ever since we arrived, Bah, you won't stop me, Sailor Moon... not in a million years...!" she then hissed arrogantly.
"I get we're enemies but answer me this, why do you guys hate Vampire Moon so much, to erase her very existence, she doesn't deserve this...!" Demanded Chibiusa.
"Personally I don't hate her myself... that much, I just dislike her a lot, my boss, however... he really wants her dead for some weird reason..." sniggered Raider Pluto. evilly as she prepared an energy ball to fire at them.
"Moon Tiara Super Boomerang Elimination..!" yelled Sailor Moon launching a new improved attack, flinging her tiara, it turned into an energy disk which looped around the courtyard, striking all fifteen of the Proto-Minions, cutting through them and destroying each one, too the amazement of everyone, the tiara returned to Sailor which she casually swag around her finger, her eyes totally focused on her enemy.
With that threat now gone, the other Sailor Guardians turned their attention to the Warrior Raider that commanded the Proto-Minions, including Sailor Mars, who was now freed from the ice block.
"No-no-no-nooo..! this isn't fair... I should have remained stealthy... I should have... it was meant to be easy... but even when that stupid princess would sneak off, there was always too many bloody people around... and now this, gah...!" complained Raider Pluto incredulously, dropping her dagger in defeat, everyone glared at her.
"Cosmic Moon Pow-" began Sailor Moon powering up an attack, but Raider Pluto pulled out a small white flag and Queen Serenity placed a hand on Sailor Moon's shoulder, stopping her attack.
"Okay... okay I surrender... I surrender..!" cried Raider Pluto, waving her white flag "My time is up it seems..." she sighed, realizing she was now ridiculously outnumbered.
"We except your surrender..." replied Queen Serenity coldly, "Take this fiend to the dungeons... there's a warm freshly vacated cell waiting for her." she command, there was a murmur of discontent amongst the Sailor Guardians.
"What..!? you're letting her live, that's crazy..! she tried to alter time, she attacked the Moon Kingdom and tried to murder Selena...she's a very dangerous creature AND SHE'S EVIL..!" protested Sailor Moon worriedly.
"Show some respect to our queen!." snapped Sailor Jupiter, clearly on edge, "Who are you anyway and how can we be sur2 you're not in league with her... you both could be trying to trick us... somehow..? she then demanded fiercely, making Sailor Moon cringe slightly, expecting to be struck by lightning or something.
"It's okay everyone..!" cheered Princess Serenity excitedly
"We're the same person!" she and Sailor Moon both said in unison as they stood side-by-side, they both gave a cute giggle, before remembering the serious situation they were in.
"At ease Sailor Guardians, it's alright... she's family... and like you, she's a Sailor Guardian too", smiled Queen Serenity reassuringly, "As for this creature, she surrendered, we must respect that... besides if we kill her in cold blood, would we be any better than her? We have to be better than that and remain nobel" she explained gently.
"If you say so..." sighed Sailor Moon, she, however, remained doubtful that this was a good idea.
"Oh isn't that sweet, you guys are too nice... why are we enemies, again?" chuckled Raider Pluto mockingly, as Sailor Uranus and Neptune dragged her away.
"Quiet bitch..!" snarled Sailor Uranus in response, shoving her forcefully, while various guards began to put out the raging fires around the courtyard.
"Is... Princess Selena safe...?" groaned the unnamed man as Sailor Mercury and Sailor Saturn tended to his injured face.
Yes... she is, she's just unconscious for now..." replied Princess Serenity "Thank you for trying to aid my cousin... Lord Charcon..." she smiled warmly.
"It's strange, my healing powers aren't working properly on your wound... the bleeding stopped but there will be a scar" sighed Sailor Saturn as Sailor Mercury wrapped a bandage across Lord Charcon's injured face.
"Wait..! did you say... Lord Charcon..!?" gasped Sailor Moon confused, she looked at this man suspiciously "...erm, have we met before?" she then asked confused.
"No my dear Sailor Guardian... I am indeed Lord Charcon, but we have never met before... hmm, how strange, I know of all the Sailor Guardians, yet I'm not familiar with you..." bowed Lord Charcon politely.
"I'm Sailor Moon... but... err, why does your name sound so familiar, I... know that name from somewhere... where did I hear it before..?" sighed Sailor Moon, struggling to remember, something about him made her uneasy, she felt a knot in her stomach. Chibiusa turned her head, for a brief moment, with a sad expression
"Sailor Moon, Chibiusa, are you two alright?" asked Queen Serenity, puzzled
"Umm... yes your majesty... for a moment I thought he was someone I knew... but it couldn't be, that's impossible I know..." sighed Sailor Moon, Chibiusa sniffed and nodded, remaining unusually quiet, Sailor Moon noticed this and frowned worriedly.
"I'll talk to you about it in privet, later, Sailor Moon..." whispered Chibiusa softly, Sailor Moon nodded reluctantly in agreement, she didn't like seeing Chibiusa like this, nor the bad vibe she felt about Lord Charcon if only she could remember where she heard that name before.
Lord Charcon got to his feet and politely brushed Saturn and Sailor Mercury aside the walked and picked up the silver dagger, "What a pretty dagger, with the Queen's permission I wish to keep it a memento" he chuckled coldly.
"A... strange request... very well, you are a trusted court noble and a friend... you may keep the dagger..." agreed Queen Serenity thoughtfully,
"Thank you, my queen..." bowed Lord Charcon's with a chilling smile, seeing the dagger in Lord Charcon's hand, sent a shiver down Sailor Moon's spine, why did this make her feel so uneasy, why does this man bother her so much? she wondered to herself nervously, she could tell Chibiusa wasn't happy about this either.
Everyone then turned their attention to Princess Selena, who still laid unconscious on the ground, Sailor Mercury rushed over to her, as well as Princess Serenity "Oh no..! she's lost a lot of energy... she's really weak, we, could lose her... but she doesn't appear to be injured, I simply don't understand what's wrong with her..." Sailor Mercury cried in horror
"Maybe my healing powers could help" suggested Sailor Saturn.
"No... everyone, you must leave us at once, I'll tend to her myself, this is a private matter" commanded Queen Serenity worriedly, it was clear she was trying to hide something.
"But mother..." protested Princess Serenity in distress, upset that her cousin and best friend was in serious trouble.
"Sweetheart... you must go... don't worry about Selena, I know what to do", reassured the queen "Guardians please take my daughter to her room" she ordered firmly, reluctantly they and Princess Serenity left the courtyard, Lord Charcon bowed and also left, leaving Queen Serenity, Chibiusa, the unconscious Princess Selena and Sailor Moon.
"Sailor Moon... Chibiusa... I need you to go, what I must do for Princess Selena cannot be witnessed by anyone..." explained Queen Serenity, she had a look of sadness on her face.
"Excuse me, Queen Serenity... I know what she is... I know she's a vampire, please, I un I wish to help" replied Sailor Moon kindly, Queen Serenity hesitated then gave a nod.
"Very well... I doubt your help is required, but since you know... you may stay" sighed the queen, sounded a little relieved, as she walked over to Princess Selena.
Queen Serenity checked over the princess, she knelt down beside the unconscious girl and gently held her limp hand as Sailor Moon and Chibiusa watched, this reminded Sailor Moon of when Yuzuki hadn't feed and lost consciousness a few days ago. Princess Selena's hand started to flicker with a red glow but the glow dimmed and faded "Come on... my darling daughter... you need to feed... please..!" cried Queen Serenity desperately, dropping her normally calm composer.
"Wait...!? did you say, daughter? but that would make her and Princess Serenity... sisters, not cousins... twin sisters!?" exclaimed Sailor Moon in realization.
"Not exactly, it's a bit more complex than that... but nows not the time to discuss this... there's something's very wrong with her, she can't or won't feed... if she doesn't she'll die.. the shock of being attacked must have been too much for her!" wept Queen Serenity, tearfully.
"There must be something we can do, she can't die now..!? she simply can't, Yuzuki won't exist in the future if she does!" gasped Sailor Moon in horror, then an idea struck her, but it wasn't a pleasant one, "Your Majesty, Queen Serenity... she needs energy... she's a vampire, so maybe the direct approach is needed..." she suggested, pulling off her glove as she approached, with a determined, yet worried look on her face. She crouched down and lifted Princess Selena's lip up, revealing her needle-sharp fangs. Sailor Moon gulped slightly "Oh man, This is going to hurt, and you'll probably hate me for this..." she whimpered looking at those teeth.
"Don't worry, Selena doesn't know how to hate..." noted Queen Serenity reassuringly
Sailor Moon then looked at Chibiusa "Chibiusa, I need you to look away... this isn't going to be pleasant and you don't want to see what I'm about to do" she warned, Chibiusa, who was watching in wide-eyed shock at what she knew Sailor moon was going to do, nodded and with a sigh and turn her back to them, Sailor Moon prized open Princess Selena's mouth when a voice called out to them...
"Hey guys..! Sorry I'm late, the Shadow Moon Crystal was causing trouble, it's like that thing's alive, but I've got the Silver Moon Crystal... Oh err, the battle's over isn't it... whah, what you doing to Princess Selena!?" called Sailor Venus, oblivious to what was happening.
"Ah... Sailor Venus... I almost forgot I sent you to fetch the Silver Crystal... Princess Selena's going to be fine, she's just fainted, Sailor Moon is, err just checking her over, that's all..!" jumped Queen Serenity in surprise, "Could you be a dear and show Chibiusa to the guest rooms, maybe have some fun, she'll need to be ready for the birthday gala, Sailor Moon join you once Princess Selena's recovered" she added with a fake smile.
"Oh ok then... come on Chibiusa..." sighed Sailor Venus, ushering Chibiusa into the palace. when they were gone both Queen Serenity and Sailor Moon gave an exasperated sigh of relief after their moment of panic.
"That was too close, The Sailor Guardians and Princess Serenity mustn't learn that she's a vampire, they would understand..." groaned Queen Serenity sadly.
"I understand... and I'm they would too, they love her..." nodded Sailor Moon as she again opened Princess Selena's mouth, "Ok Usagi, it's just like going to the Doctor's and having a couple of tiny injections... ooh I hate, needles... and I hope she's brushed her teeth..." she muttered to herself hesitantly, "Okay... here goes..!" she continued adamantly as she placed her wrist into Princess Selena's mouth, then with her free hand, pushed Selena's mouth so her fangs sank into Sailor Moon's wrist, causing it to bleed, "Come on Princess Selena... bite me, I know it's disgusting but you need to drink my blood!" she winced in pain, "I hope I don't get turned into a vampire for this" she whimpered, turning pail, as Sailor Moon's blood dribbled into Princess Selena mouth.
Suddenly Princess Selena's eyes snapped wide open and flashed with red sparkles of energy, Princess Selena realized that Sailor Moon's wrist was in her mouth and the look on her face switched from dazed surprise to confusion and then to utter disgusted horror, she scooted backwards on her backside, a trickle of blood dribbled down from the corner of he lips, which she touched and looked at it in puzzlement, "I'm not that kind of vampire, I'm not that kind!" she wailed in despair as she wiped the blood away from her face sadly.
"It's all right Princess Selena, Sailor Moon just save your life... you should thank her" chuckled Queen Serenity kindly
"Sailor... Moon..? Th-thank you for, err for saving me, but I'm not worth you hurting yourself to do so" sighed Princess Selena shyly.
"Now, now, Selena, thank her properly" smiled the queen, tutting gently.
"Thank you, Sailor Moon... you saved my life... I, I, think I love you, c-can we be friends..forever... even if I'm a..?" thanked Princess Selena with a hint of coyness.
"I'd be honoured to be friends with a cute princess like you Princess Selena, I don't care you're a vampire" giggled Sailor Moon warmly, rubbing her sore hand, she looked at her bleeding wrist, she was sure Selena's teeth will leave a permanent mark, not that it bothered too much, the princess was safe now and that's all that mattered to her.
"Just please don't make me bite you again... I didn't like that... I'd much rather have a glass of milk... Erm, is that horrible creature gone and her evil monsters..?" questioned Princess Selena sweetly.
"Sailor Moon defeated all the Monsters single-handedly and that fake Guardian is safely locked up in the dungeons..." reassured Queen Serenity "but I know what you're like, you're too inquisitive for your own good sometimes, please stay away from her, it's far too dangerous for you, promise me you won't go near the dungeons" she then warned her firmly.
"I... promise... I don't plan on going anywhere near that creepy lady..." softly sighed Princess Selena innocently and a little dejectedly.
"Very good my darling sweetheart... now it's time we get ready for the big event" smiled Queen Serenity, Princess Selena suddenly looked very nervous.
"Yes, Auntie Queen Serenity... I... I... I'll be ready.." Princess Selena whimpered meekly with a shy gulp, "I wonder if my love, Lord Charcon will be there..?" she then whispered softly to herself with a timid sigh.
"And of course Usagi, you be our guest of honour..." chuckled Queen Serenity joyfully
"Big event..!? Ooh, of course, it's the Princesses birthday..! Oh, a party... Ooh wow!" gasped Sailor Moon excitedly, her eyes lit up, as it turned out... calling this 'big event' a party was a big understatement...
Sometime later, heralded by the sound of trumpets, a grand gala and magnificent feast began to celebrate the princesses shared birthday and the victory over Raider Pluto's attack. There were many guests from across the Solar System, maybe even beyond, Queen Hellenia was only one Usagi actually recognized, a few looked like classic Disney princesses... maybe it was her imagination but one of the guests resembled She-Ra and, another looked just like Princess Zelda, with a little blue fairly, thought Usagi, there was even a Sailor Guardian that was also a Thundercat it seemed, Usagi was unaccustomed to such a gathering, every party and the few balls she'd been to paled in comparison, she was a little overwhelmed but was enjoying the attention immensely, her previous self-was getting a bit jealous it seemed but Princess Serenity, who was sitting beside Usagi remained good-humoured and teasingly joked with her about it, she'd even lent her one of her gowns to wear, similar to her own, but a slightly pinkish one so people wouldn't be confused by the same appearance they had.
"Gosh this day is taking forever... how long is a day on the Moon anyways?" yawn Usagi discreetly.
"A day on the Moon lasts 27.32 Earth days..." replied Sailor Mercury politely, Usagi's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.
"Err... that long huh..am I going be stuck here, like forever..?" she cringed awkwardly, bulking at the thought of this.
"Don't worry, *hic* Sailor Mooon, I'll get you to your home time, when you are ready to leave... meanwhile just have fun *hic*" giggled a rosy-cheeked Sailor Pluto, who seemed a little drunk, this was one of the very rare occasions she was permitted to leave the Time Door unattended and she was allowing herself to enjoy this, "I must say... having someone pretending to be me and causing so much trouble is most upsetting, I'm glad that *hic* Raider Pluto is now locked away" she grimaced, meanwhile the two Luna's busy chatting away.
"... so Artemis got blamed and that's the Great Moon Cheeze Scandal... surely you remember that..." finished the Moon Kingdom's Luna after recounting some past incident.
"Oh yes definitely... and we both know who took it..." replied the 21st century Luna, they both chucked secretively, at the memory, "There's one thing that's been bothering me... my memories are a bit off, but Sailor Venus mentioned there's no Moon Kingdom Sailor Moon..?"
"Hmmm, we both saw your Sailor Moon in action earlier, it certainly left an impression on me... maybe that's why you found her and thought she was the Guardian she now is..." suggested the Moon Kingdom's Luna thoughtfully.
"Oh dear... time travel is so complicated..." sighed the 21st century Luna exasperatedly.
"Usagi... where's, err, Chibiusa..? I hope she's alright..." asked Princess Serenity.
"Huh..? I thought she was with Princess Selena..." replied Usagi.
"No, Selena's hiding, as usual, see she's just behind the curtains near the entrance, probably waiting for her new boyfriend" giggled Sailor Venus. They saw Princess Selena poking her head out of the curtains hoping not to be seen, but she noticed that she'd been spotted by the others, she blushed and jumped back behind them, nearly slipping over in panic.
"Aww, how adorable she's so cute" cooed Usagi sweetly.
"She's usually better at hiding than that" giggled Princess Selena.
"I wish she'd sit down and eat... something... it's not that she's anorexic or anything but her lack of appetite really worries me..." sighed the Moon Kingdom's Luna.
"err, Princess Selena has a boyfriend!?" asked Usagi in surprise.
"yep, seems they became a couple sometime before the battle... she thinks she's in love, can you believe that?" smiled Princess Serenity incredulously
"That's strange Yuzuki... Selena's future-self seems dead against falling in love herself..." noted Usagi, confused.
"Oh that's strange, Selena's just super shy around everyone, but she's always talking about wanting to find true love, I don't blame your Yuzuki though, I'm not letting myself fall in love with anyone!" grinned Princess Serenity, failing to notice a certain Prince Endymion walking past from behind her, nor did he notice her, it seemed.
"Oh what about him... he's cute.. he's behind yooou!" smirked Usagi knowingly, pointing at the handsome prince. Princess Serenity quickly whipped her head around, looking behind her, but only caught a fleeting glimpse as he disappeared among the crowd of guests.
The girls around her gave her a funny look, "I'm definitely not going to fall in love..!" the princess reiterated determinedly, poking her tongue out and cheekily blowing a raspberry at them, little suspecting that day will certainly come when she meets Prince Endymion.
So whooos Princess Selena's new boyfriend then anyway?" asked Usagi after everyone had stopped laughing.
"Ah, that would be that Lord Charcon guy..." replied Sailor Mars, she seemed a little miffed about it, "At least he did try to save her, I'll give him that..." she added coldly
"Lord Charcon, huh..? that name sounds really familiar and not in a good way, just who is he?
"Well, err, he's a great hero and has served Queen Serenity for ages, she trusts him despite some dark rumours about him, I think he used to be a military man but he's really into alchemy and weird stuff like that, oh and he's apparently a really skilled swordsman but apart from that we know very little about him and his past... he's a bit aloft and a very privet person it seems..." explained the Moon Kingdom's Luna.
"I don't like him one bit, he's a creep and way too old for Selena and she's far too vulnerable for someone like that... I'm sure he's just using her... something bad going to happen, I just know it and I won't be there to protect her like I'm supposed too" grumbled Sailor Mars crossly.
"Wow, Rei ah, I mean Sailor Mars, you really don't like him do you?, I'm not sure about him either and I'm certain Chibiusa really doesn't like him either... but I'm not sure why I just wish I could remember why his name is stuck in my head and not in a good way..." Usagi told them, as she struggled to figure it out, "Hmm, I wonder, where is Chibiusa anyway..? she's missing the party, well, she's not a kid any more, but I hope she's not gotten herself into any trouble..." she pondered out load...
Elsewhere in the Palace, after a bit of discreet searching Chibiusa, ninja-like, found the first thing she had been looking for, Lord Charcon's privet dimly lit chambers, she wasn't sure what she hope to find here, but she knew that Lord Was a dangerous enemy, both in the 21st century and possibly... no, almost certainly now... while she knew she could prevent what was going to happen in this time period, her mission, one of her own undertaking, was to protect Yuzuki in the 21st century, even if it meant altering the timeline, she needed to find anything that'll give the Sailor Guardians every advantage they can get over the resurgent Dark Kingdom and prepare them for the nightmare yet to come. With fierce determination Chibiusa searched through as many scrolls and notes as she could but there was no useful information she could use which frustrated her greatly, "Damn it... nothing... how can I protect Yuzuki from-" she spat, before she realized someone had entered the room and she'd been discovered, she was in real trouble now.
"So..! it appears I have an uninvited guest, or maybe thief poking through my most private papers and valuables, how scandalous, this is treason!" snarled Lord Charcon mockingly as he loomed up from the shadows behind Chibiusa, towering over the girl, half his face covered in bandages.
"Burn in Hell, I'm no thief... and I'm not a traitor... unlike you... you monster!" challenged Chibiusa fiercely.
"I've no idea what you're talking about, young lady... who do you think you are!?" snapped Charcon slyly.
"Who am I..? I'm Sailor Moon!" growled Chibiusa, standing her ground, Lord Charcon looked mildly confused.
"Sailor Moon..? I thought that the blonde bimbo was Sailor Moon!? You didn't even transform yourself... silly little girl!" grunted Lord Charcon spitefully.
"I'm the second Sailor Moon, Sailor Moon is my mother... don't call her a bimbo! She didn't need my help so I chose to hold back!" hissed Chibiusa angerly.
"Evidently, hmm, how interesting... but it doesn't answer why you've invaded my chambers like this... and throw such nasty accusations towards me, I'm a loyal citizen of the Moon Kingdom!" chuckled Lord Charcon menacingly.
"A citizen of the Moon Kingdom yeah, maybe, but you're hardly loyal to Queen Serenity or the Kingdom, I know who you are and what you're planning... it's horrible... pure evil... I can't even stop you... I can't save Princess Selena, not here, not now but I promise you I will stop you from hurting Vampire Moon, I hate you, I hate you so much! You're the second worse villain Sailor Guardians have ever faced, you're certainly the cruellest and most evil, I won't let you harm Vampire Moon!" Chibiusa raged tearfully.
"Again I'm rather confounded by what you're saying, I don't know who this stupid 'Vampire Moon' is, now who do you think I am, why such unfathomable, unjust hate..? " taunted Lord Charcon irritably.
"Such big words for a lying fiend, you serve Queen Beryl, you're plotting to take down the Moon Kingdom from within, so Earth, under its old monarchy can invade, once they are restored to power, Lord Charcon, you are the second in command of the Dark Kingdom, the self-proclaimed master of the Negaverse and agent of Chaos..." accused Chibiusa venomously.
"Queen Beryl..!? you mean Princess Beryl, that spoiled brat? Ahhh... I see... but you are mistaken, I serve her mother, or rather what's left of her... Queen Metalia the true ruler and Guardian of Earth, whom I've infused with the essence and power of Chaos itself ... Princess Beryl is but a mere puppet who has but one task, when the time comes, she'll break and release her mother from the seal Queen Serenity placed on her, I'll become the fifth and strongest King of Heaven... the Moon King, ahh, but it's just politics, what do you know child, you've said it yourself, little girl, you can't stop me, so now die..!" sneered Lord Charcon with a maniacal chuckle as he grabbed. Chibiusa by the throat tightly with one hand, viciously trying to strangle her.
"You're insane! Power-mad! *urk* Get off me, you disgusting bully!" choked Chibiusa, kicking him in his never regions as she back-flipped away from him, her neck bruised, "Don't call me a child, I'm 13 years old now and I'm not a little girl anymore, I'm all grown up...Oh, and the reason I didn't transform is that I knew we'd be sent back in time... I was saving this back, just in case... Moon Crisis Special...!" she yelled, transforming into Future Sailor Moon... and she was now armed with a formidable looking, oversized energy rifle, scary but somehow cute at the same time its stock and handle resembled a moon crescent, it made her look totally badass and ready for war, as she aimed it at Lord Charcon, "This isn't a toy, this is the real thing... so back off creep!" she warned angrily, If Usagi had been there, she'd be freaking out, right about now.
"Ob my... is that a B.F.G. in you're pocket or you're just pleased to see me... and what do you intend to do with that thing... blast me into oblivion, murder me in cold blood... a proven hero of the Moon Kingdom... you've no proof against me and I certainly don't think Queen Serenity would take too kindly to this bad behaviour, nor would the other Sailor Guardians... not to mention Sailor Moon, Princess Serenity your precious Princess Selena... what will they say... I doubt they'll even forgive you... you will be punished!" taunted Lord Charcon, mockingly,.strangely unfazed and fearlessly daring her to shoot him.
"You're the cancer of this Solar-System, I Should kill you... for all the suffering you've caused and all the suffering you will cause... I should do it now, to save her... change history, I should kill you!" cried Chibiusa tearfully shaking her head, for a moment it looked like she was going to pull the trigger, but she hesitated.
"Just as I suspected... coward!" spat Lord Charcon in contempt. Chibiusa fired her gun, not at him... but at his lab bench, destroying his insidious experiments, distracting him so she could escape
"Gah! years of research ruined by that pest... but impressive none the less, maybe I could somehow find a way to control her and the other Sailor Guardians... or at least create evil copies of them... one day..." mused Lord Charcon incredulously, as he examined the pile of ash and broken glass where the lab bench once stood...
Back at the gala, everyone was enjoying themselves, the Sailor Guardians bombarded Usagi questions about the 21st century and their future incantations while the two Lunas playfully teased Artemis, suddenly Sailor Pluto bolted up in shock.
"Somethings just happened... Usagi you and I need to find Chibiusa at once!" she exclaimed, hurriedly.
"What's wrong Sailor Pluto..!?" jumped Usagi in surprise
"No time to explain... hurry..!" panicked Sailor Pluto, rushing out the ballroom, dragging Usagi by the arm.
"Wait I'm coming too..!" cried Princess Serenity, running after them...
Chibiusa, having changed back to her normal form as she ran down a corridor, tears pouring down her face, "I've messed up big time! stupid laws of time... my one chance, I could have ended this, before it all began... but it would alter history, I could have made things better, but I could have easily made things worse... much worse, oh Yuzuki I'm so sorry, I'm s stupid!" she wept sorrowfully, she stopped dead in her tracks and quickly wiped away her tears as she spotted someone familiar heading her way, the timing couldn't have better
Princess Selena wondered aimlessly towards Chibiusa as if she was looking for someone, blissfully unaware of what had just transpired, she almost bumped into Chibiusa and saw, despite her best efforts to hide it, she'd been crying, "Oh... you poor girl, what has ha-happen, you've been crying, pl-please let me help you..." she gasped grabbing hold of Chibiusa and hugging her tightly, before she could react, she felt Chibiusa, who looked at her blankly, trembling in distress, for a moment, it seemed like Princess Selena was herself going to start crying because Chibiusa was upset, due to her empathic abilities, she certainly didn't like seeing anyone suffer "It'll be okay, I'm here for you sweetie" she continued reassuringly but despite her words seem to pain Chibiusa even more.
"I'm... sorry... Yuzuki..." sighed Chibiusa quietly.
"Ooh, err, I'm not... Yuzuki, I'm Princess Selena but if she's anything like me, I'm sure if you did something wrong, she would forgive anything you did..." replied Princess Selena gently "Beside if you did something wrong it shouldn't matter unless it was something really terrible, whatever it was I'm certain you can fix things and make it better... I should know, I'm an expert at getting it wrong..." she smiled kindly, Chibiusa reluctantly smiled back...
"I, I thought you were like supposed to be super smart and everything Princess Selena, I can't imagine you doing anything wrong...?" questioned Chibiusa thoughtfully.
"He-hee, smart maybe, I don't know about that, that's what people say anyway... but I know I'm very nieve also if you haven't noticed already, I'm really quite shy and a bit accident prone, I just do the best I can... and support those who think they can't" blushed the princess, with a soft giggle.
"You're so nice and very kind, Princess Selena... just like Yuzuki, please... please don't let anyone take advantage of that and hurt you... I'm begging you... please don't!" pleaded Chibiusa tearfully "some people aren't what they seem...I don't want anyone to hurt you!" she sniffed sadly, knowing how futile this was to change anything, Princess Selena blinked at her in confusion.
Suddenly Sailor Pluto, followed by Usagi and Princess Serenity came running down the corridor with worried looks on their faces. "Chibiusa... are you alright...!?" gasped Usagi in near panic.
"I Sensed a massive disturbance in space and time... what have you done..!?" yelled Sailor Pluto, she seemed very upset and shaken.
"Pl-please don't be mad at Chibiusa... I'm certain she hasn't done anything wrong...!" protested Princess Selena, trying to be defensive.
"Silence Princess... You've no idea what's at stake!" snapped Sailor Pluto harshly, Princess Selena, unaccustomed to being spoken to like, frozen in shock, lip trembling, her tears welled up, she fell to knees and started sob and hickup, Sailor Pluto felt instantly guilty at her harshness towards her.
"Excuse me Sailor Pluto but you shouldn't be mean to Selena... she didn't deserve it!" gasped Princess Serenity in horror.
"You shouldn't speak the princess like that, especially since she's so sensitive... what's wrong with you?" added Usagi, confused.
"I'm sorry, I truly am, Princess Selena... I'm truly sorry, I honestly didn't mean to upset you..." apologized Sailor Pluto, trying to comfort the distraught princess. she then turned her attention back to the matter at hand, "Chibiusa... ...this is very serious, what have you done... did you try to alter time..?"
"No... I didn't do anything, I know time-travel is like walking on eggshells along a very narrow bridge... I just... I.. wanted to... I nearly did, but I stop myself...!" confessed Chibiusa sadly, Sailor Pluto looked at her, her expression was unreadable at first, then she smiled warmly.
"I understand... being a time traveller is hardly easy, I appreciate your honesty but may I ask, what did you hope to achieve..." asked Sailor Pluto, she still seemed worried about something.
"I can't tell you... I can't tell anyone... it's too important, all I can say is my mission is to protect Yuzuki... to protect her no matter what..." replied Chibiusa, shaking her head, there was a defiant, determined look on her face, holding back her tears.
"You know you're sailing into very dangerous waters, Chibiusa... I can't stop you, but you really need to think about what you are going to do, things may not go as you want it to, you might cause more harm than good... just be careful..." warned Sailor Pluto with a frustrated sigh, Chibiusa nodded in response.
"Now that I got to meet my hero, Auntie Yuzuki, I just want to go home to the 30th century..." whimpered Chibiusa quietly, tears dripping off her face.
"Then why do you go back...?" questioned Sailor Pluto softly, already suspecting the answer.
"Because... there's no 30th century to go back too!" screamed Chibiusa angrily, before running off, tears streaming behind her...
"No 30th century..!?" gasped Usagi in shocked horror.
"Princess Serenity, could you please take Selena back to the gala, I need to speak to Usagi privately..." requested Sailor Pluto urgently. Princess Serenity nodded and escorted Princess Selena away.
"Something's very wrong isn't it..?" whimpered Usagi worriedly.
"What has Chibiusa said to you about her mission?" asked Sailor Pluto, with a concerned frown.
"Not much if anything... just that she needs to protect Yuzuki and that she mustn't remember her past life as Princess Selena... she also mentioned Yuzuki going to be the greatest of all Sailor Guardians... I don't see how though, no disrespect to Yuzuki but Chibiusa could be exaggerating..." replied Usagi.
"Maybe... maybe not, I keep watch over the timelines, but something strange has happened, ever since you found the lost princess... the future began to grow hazy, then it completely disappears, everything is gone..." explained Sailor Pluto
"You mean something's going to destroy the world..!? exclaimed Usagi in terror.
"No... not just the world... everything. the entire galaxy... maybe even beyond..." frowned Sailor Pluto.
"This is crazy, you think Yuzuki could be at the centre of this... but.. how's that possible!? gasped Usagi, barely able to comprehend any of this.
"I'm not sure... I wish I can help but I don't have the answers to any of this..." sighed Sailor Pluto.
"Maybe if I learn more about Princess Selena, then maybe I'll discover something about Yuzuki..? suggested Usagi thoughtfully "this is all so timey-wimey, it's hard to keep up..." she added.
"Then you should talk to Queen Serenity about her... maybe you'll learn something about yourself as well" smiled Sailor Pluto with a satisfied nod, "but first you'll need to find Chibiusa first, I'm certain she'll want to hear what our queen has to say..." she added knowingly, Usagi nodded in agreement and ran after Chibiusa...
Queen Sailor was standing on the balcony, looking at the sky, lost in deep thought, she then spotted Chibiusa running into her room, not noticing the Queen, Chibiusa slumped down and huddled herself in a corner crying. Queen Serenity walked over to her and crouched down to her. "Chibiusa... what's wrong dear, why are you crying so..?" Queen Serenity gently, trying to comfort her.
"I, I made a terrible mistake... Queen Serenity... I tried to change the future... I'm trying to change the future... I.. I don't want her to die..." sobbed Chibiusa hysterically.
"Wh-who going to die..." asked Queen Serenity softly, trying to take in what she was saying, just at that moment Usagi peeked in and saw both of them.
"Chibiusa, there you are, I was really worried!" she smiled sympathetically, as she rushed over, Chibiusa quickly caged up.
"Usagi... I'm sorry I ran off like that, I just couldn't cope with knowing that I messed up so badly... please don't question me about this...I'm alright now. just try to understand please..." sighed Chibiusa, wiping away her tears.
"It's okay... you know you can always turn to me when you feel like talking... I'm always here for you Chibiusa" reassured Usagi kindly.
"I know... mother... when I'm ready to...I will... " smiled Chibiusa, composing herself.
"Are you certain you are alright..?" Questioned Queen Serenity worriedly.
"Well, as alright as I can be under the circumstances..." sighed Chibiusa quietly.
"Queen Serenity... may I ask about the Princesses, I'm interested in learning about them... since I'm Princess Serenity's reincarnation and Yuzuki is Princess Selena's..?" asked Usagi awkwardly.
"Usagi... you promised Yuzuki that you'll learn about her past life... but you know you can't tell her... it's too dangerous for her to know..!" gasped Chibiusa worriedly.
"Don't worry, I won't say anything to her... I just want answers..." replied Usagi defensively, "I've seen what happens when she starts to remember, trust me, I won't risk it" she added adamantly.
"I hope I can trust you..." muttered Chibiusa under her breath.
"Hmm, I'll tell you all about them... it's time you learned of yours and Yuzuki's origins..." smiled Queen Serenity.
"You mentioned Princess Selena is your daughter, but she thinks she's Princess Serenity's twin cousin, not her sister as she should, but you said she was much more than that? I'm confused..." questioned Usagi, puzzled.
"Yes... this is going to be hard to explain... As I'm a virgin, you may have noticed the Princesses have no father, they never did. and I don't have a husband... it's one of the old rules of being the Moon Queen..." began Queen Serenity with a hint of sorrow. she took them a large ornate full-length mirror. " This is the Time-Mirror, it'll show you the past as I explain..." she told them, the mirror lit up and started to show Usagi and Chibiusa images of the past.
"But I'm going to marry Mamoru, are you saying I'm not allowed to..!?" yelped Usagi.
"Of course you can dear... the old rules no longer apply to you..." chuckled Queen Serenity wistfully, Usagi gave an exaggerated sigh of relief.
"Usagi I want to hear Queen Serenity's story about the princesses... and don't say I'm too old for bedtime stories..." nudged Chibiusa impatiently.
"I wasn't going too..." replied Usagi rolling her eyes, Queen Serenity smiled and nodded politely as she began her tale.
"Many years ago... not long after I became queen, there was one thing I desired more than anything... but could never have... a child, a daughter who was truly pure of heart... it was an impossible dream or so I believed..." recounted Queen Serenity.
"You used the Silver Crystal and wished us into existence..?" interrupted Usagi, Chibiusa gave her a sharp nudge.
"You're getting ahead of yourself... a good guess though... but not exactly, the Moon Crystals hadn't appeared yet..." replied Queen Serenity. "We'll get to that in a moment... anyway... a mysteriously and wise gentlemen came to see me, who somehow knew what I wanted, though I'd never spoke of it... it was Oldman... the ancient living sprite of the Moon itself, he told me, when the planets converge, to pray at the Holy Twilight Temple of Light and Dark, which stands between the light and dark sides of the Moon and make my wish, he said a pure-hearted child shall be born to me... a child of great destiny... but also one of great tragedy... At first, I scoffed at the idea, not fully understanding, but I went and prayed, for I wanted a child so badly, I was bathed in a rainbow of light and shadow... When I suddenly found I was pregnant a few days later, I knew my wish had come true... what I didn't expect was the fact I was to have twins... When I questioned Oldman about this, he chuckled and explained that the twins were not exactly sisters in the traditional sense, genetically identical, they were much closer and much more than that.. they were the same individual, the same child in two separate bodies, with one half of the same soul, split into two, one of light, the other of darkness, both uncorrupted and pure of heart... perfectly balancing out each other..." Queen Serenity told them.
"Wait... Princess Serenity and Princess Selena are the same people... that would make me and Yuzuki...!?" gasped Usagi in realization.
"Yes... you and Yuzuki are also the person...try to keep up..." whispered Chibiusa, Usagi was dumbfounded.
"Ah.. anyway, the princesses were born 13 years ago on this very day, though I very much regret my decision now, I chose to follow my advisers, words, while I raised Princess Serenity as the Moon Princess, I hid Princess Selena from view and raised her in secret... because of her... unique condition... for a time the two princesses were kept separate and didn't know of each other... making them incomplete..." continued Queen Serenity sadly.
"Th-that's terrible..." muttered Usagi in disbelief.
"Yes, it was... I've always loved her and I'll never forgive myself for how she was treated... but when Serenity was little, she would wonder off to explore the palace alone, as did Selena, it was inevitable they would eventually meet... they were drawn to each other like magnets, though we didn't know at the time, they soon found each other and quickly became best of friends, a secret friendship... which wasn't discovered until enemies from Earth managed to sneek inand tried to attack the princesses... that was when the Silver and Shadow Moon Crystals of legend first appeared, seemingly out of nowhere, while the Silver Crystal... your crystal, protected Princess Serenity and Selena, the Shadow Crystal easily destroyed the attackers, I and the Sailor Guardians rushed to their defence, having learned of the danger, we found them and we witnessed what had happened, the Silver Crystal seemed to resonate with Princess Serenity strongly as did the Shadow Crystal with Selena, but they were far too dangerous for them to keep, so it was decided to lock away the Crystals unless it was an emergency and the Shadow Crystal, the most powerful weapon in the Universe, only as a final last resort,... but then, seeing how close the two princesses had become I decided to let Serenity and Selena continue their friendship, from then on Selena was raised as cousins, and they remain almost inseparable ever since" concluded Queen Serenity.
"Yuzuki... is... me..?" muttered Usagi, trying to wrap her head around this new revaluation...
Sometime later, Usagi, Luna and Chibiusa were ready to be sent back to the 21st century, the stood in a circular room with a pair of large doors that led to the Time Gate, the Sailor Guardians and Princesses, as well as Queen Serenity, were there too, waiting to see them off, each held gifts for the two time travellers to take back with them, except Queen Serenity, who had already given them something special and Sailor Pluto.
"Chibiusa told me my future-self lost her Super Computer, please give her this... it's the mark-2..." smiled Sailor Mercury, handing Usagi a new Super Computer, with a warm smile.
"Oh.. Sailor Mercury's upgrading from a D.S. to a Wii U pad!" laughed Chibiusa mischievously, Sailor Mercury look at her confused "I'm joking..." giggled Chibiusa, the other Guardians handed over their gifts one at a time, then it was the Princesses turn.
"Oooh I know we got off on the wrong start but I'm going to miss you Princess Serenity..." sobbed Usagi.
"I know and I'll miss you too... but you'll always get to see me when you look into a mirror.." sobbed Princess Serenity, hugging her future-self tightly.
"likewise..." giggled Usagi, Princess Serenity giggled back and handed over a new Moon Sceptre, which was very similar, near identical to her first one, but a pail lilac instead of pink and a bit more fancy looking.
"Thank you... it's so pretty..!" gushed Usagi happily.
"It's a sh-shame, you got to meet Princess Serenity... but I didn't get to meet... my future-self..." sighed Princess Selena
"Maybe it's for the best... imagine the shy 'conversation' you two wouldn't have!" giggled Princess Serenity cheekily.
"Anyway... if Princess Serenity doesn't mind... I want you to have the-this..." handed the parcel she'd accidentally given to Usagi earlier, during the mix-up, Usagi looked at it wide-eyed, Princess Serenity nodded and smiled approvingly.
"I... I can't except this... this was meant for Princess Serenity..." gasped Usagi in surprise.
"It's ok, it's just a painting I did... I can always make another one, please keep it" whimpered Princess Selena shylyPrincess Serenity nodded and smiled approvingly.
"Thank you, Selena, I'll always treasure it..." wept Usagi joyfully as she hugged the princess.
"I'm going to miss you Luna" purred the Moon Kingdom's
"I'll also miss you, Luna..." chuckled the 21st Luna, Artemis look at them confused.
"I'm sorry I don't have anything to give, I don't have much in way of possessions... but Chibiusa, I'll give you this piece of advice... things don't always go to plan... sometimes sacrifices have to be made for the greater good... but don't give up hope..." smiled Sailor Pluto warmly, Chibiusa turned her head away and a tear trickled down her cheek.
"Queen Serenity... what do you intend to do with Raider Pluto, now she's your prisoner..?" asked Usagi worriedly.
"We'll probably drop her into the heart of a nearby black hole or something!" laughed Sailor Mars wickedly.
"I doubt we'll do any such thing..." chuckled Queen Serenity, "I'm not sure what we'll do with her, but she'll be locked up until we decide... which could be a very long time..." she added.
Once everyone said their tearful goodbyes Queen Serenity opened the large doors, suddenly something shot into the room... the room became bathed in an eerie red light as the Shadow Moon Crystal appeared above them, it swooped down towards Sailor Mars, hovering before her. "Why it 'looking' at me like that..!" yelped Sailor Mars nervously, knowing not to mess with it.
It then shot around Princess Selena then around Usagi, in a figure of eight before shooting through the doors, nearly though Queen Serenity, forcing her to dive out of the way and disappearing into the time vortex.
"What... what just happened did we just lose the Shadow Moon Crystal... it seemed angry!" gasped Sailor Venus in horror.
"I'm sure it'll turn up again...!" exclaimed Usagi realizing what had happened, though unsure as to why.
"So that's how the Shadow Moon Crystal appeared to Yuzuki, it sensed she was in trouble and time jumped!" guessed Chibiusa knowingly.
"This is terrible but I'm afraid we cannot do anything to retrieve it now" sighed Queen Serenity still shocked at this.
"At least it's still on our side..." muttered Usagi.
Once everything calmed down, Sailor Pluto guided Usagi, Luna and Chibiusa to the Time Door, Chibiusa seemed lost in thought, as they headed to Time Door Chibiusa paused as Sailor Pluto and Luna went on ahead, she tugged at Usagi's sleeve. "What's wrong Chibiusa..?" asked Usagi worriedly
"That Lord Charcon... you know who he is right...?" questioned Chibiusa, there was a deadly seriousness in her tone.
"It's been bugging me ever since we met... I'm sure I remember that name... but..." replied Usagi thoughtfully.
"He's our enemy... the leader and mastermind of the new Dark Kingdom..." spat Chibiusa hatefully
"The Dark Kingdom... but he and Serenity... oh-no...!" gasped Usagi, she didn't like where this was heading.
"He's going to trick her into doing something bad and murder her, he's then going allow the Dark Kingdom to invade and destroy the Moon Kingdom..." explained Chibiusa coldly.
"That's... that's terrible... poor Selena, why didn't you tell me before, we could have warned them!" yelled Usagi angrily
"That's why I couldn't say anything, it would change history in a big way... besides would they have listened... if we told them...?" sighed Chibiusa sadly.
"I.. I think I understand..." sobbed Usagi... not really understanding, Chibiusa looked at her with a pained expression.
"Usagi... mother... there's something important I need to tell you... just please don't tell the others..." whimpered Chibiusa, tears flooding down her face uncontrollably...
Six months ago, a time portal opens, from which the Shadow Moon Crystal appeared, it hovering in the sky above a terrifying scene, Yuzuki Kage was being attacked by Sailor Iron Mouse and her phages, Shadow Moon Crystal swooped down towards the dark-haired girl below.
"This is the Shadow Moon Crystal! Awaken Yuzuki kage! You are Vampire Moon!" called the entity within the Shadow Moon Crystal... "Say these words... Shadow Moon Crystal Awaken!" instructed the voice... Yuzuki was even more confused than ever...
"Shadow Moon Crystal Awaken!" Yuzuki repeated unsure what was about to happen as she began to transform... a broach appeared around the Shadow Moon Crystal and attached itself to her...
Six months later, another time portal opened, from which Chibiusa Luna and Usagi emerged. The other Sailor Guardians had been waiting for them in the park expectedly for them it'd been only a few moments since they'd disappeared. Without hesitation Usagi, in shock, ran to Yuzuki, tearfully hugging her tightly.
"I don't want to let you go... I don't ever want to let you go again... dear sweet Yuzuki... please don't ever let me let go of you...!" she wept, she was very distressed by what Chibiusa had said to her.
"Usagi... I'm n-not going anywhere... I promise... we'll be friends forever... a-are you alright?" whispered Yuzuki nervously.
"I want to protect you... to keep you safe... and treasure our eternal friendship... I promise I won't let anyone hurt you.." sobbed Usagi, clinging to Yuzuki, trembling.
"Wow Usagi, you're acting like such a yandere or something" joked Sailor Mars, but seeing the look on Usagi's face, she quickly apologized, "Usagi... did something happen...?" she questioned awkwardly.
"You've not been the same since passing through the Time Door... you seem very upset... Usagi" added Luna, concerned.
"It's okay we just missed everyone so much and then leaving our friends at Silver Millennium... we went to the Moon Kingdom and stopped Raider Pluto, I think we've seen the last of that Warrior Raider ... it was a very emotional journey" explained Chibiusa gently, clearly hiding something, Usagi nodded sadly and composed herself, still clearly distressed. the others looked at her worriedly.
"Are we still training today?" asked Yuzuki innocently.
"I'm sorry Yuzuki... I'm just so sleepy... I just want to go home to bed... now... maybe tomorrow..." yawned Usagi, closing her eyes and falling asleep where she stood.
"Ohh, we got that school trip tomorrow... huh..? oh, I thought I was the one who falls asleep in random places..." sighed Yuzuki incredulously, no one noticed that for a few moments her broach, where she kept the Shadow Moon Crystal, began to sparkle with a red eerie glow...
That night, Luna lay on Usagi bed, sensing something was wrong, she opens one eye and saw Usagi standing by her bedside table, looking at the painting Princess Selena had given her, it was of Princess Serenity and Selena looking at each other, holding hands in front of a large window with the Earth in the background, the words on the pretty jewel covered marble frame read 'Serenity Princess of Moon-Light, Selena Princess of Moon-Shadow, Forever Friends', tears dripped down on Usagi's face, onto the painting, she began to sob uncontrollably.
"Usagi... what is it... what's wrong... what's happened?" asked Luna worriedly.
"I... don't... I don't want her to... die..." sobbed Usagi, pleadingly, mirroring Chibiusa's words.
"Oh-no... Usagi... who's going to die..?" gasped Luna, horrified, jumping to a sitting position.
Usagi then fell to her knees, crying hysterically. hearing the commotion, Usagi's family came rushing into her bedroom and looked at her with confusion and worry.
"She... mustn't die... we must save her..!" she wailed, tears flooding down her face, her heart-breaking, she screamed a gut-wrenching, defiant scream "I DON'T WANT YUZUKI KAGE TO DIE..!"
