Yo Homies. Sunblade's back with another chapter. It's kinda short. But I think you'll enjoy it. It picks up where the last chapter left off so if you need to go reread that, you might want to.

"Yeah you did." May said, sadness filling her voice. "You aren't who you used to be. I can see that. "

Ash nodded.

"But please, give me a chance to get to know this you." May pleaded. "Don't write me off yet. And please, please, let me in. That is all I want. If you ever felt something for me, please show me. Because I love you Ash. Now more than ever before. I can't forget what I felt, and feel for you. Underneath everything you have gained, you are still the goofy, happy, brave pokemon trainer I fell for and fall for every time I think of you."

Ash turned to face her. "Okay."

"Thank you." May moved to embrace Ash in a hug, but he stopped her. She was surprised by the sudden change and backed away slightly.

"Do you remember the scar I showed you?" Ash grumbled, as if he didn't want to talk about it, but felt he should.

"Yes…" May trailed off, scared for what was to come next.

"I didn't get it as a prize at a carnival." Ash's eyes showed pain. "I got it because I have made real enemies in the last 5 years. Dangerous enemies. Many who want me dead, and are not afraid to kill any who get in their way."

May nodded slowly, unsure what to think.

"So if you have any respect for me, or yourself, you will keep your distance from me until this its all over. Then maybe, I'll tell you everything."

"Everything?"

"Absolutely Everything."

"Do you promise?"

"Absolutely May. I will tell you why I haven't been able to be with you for the last five years. Because it has been one of the hardest things I have ever done, keeping my distance from you."

"I can live with that. " May wrapped Ash in a hug that Charizard couldn't escape. "I've missed you so much Ash. I'm so glad you are back. "

"I love you too May."Ash returned the hug, never wanting to let go.

"What the fuck? You furry ass cheating cat."

"What can I say Paul? I am the best at this."

"The best my ass. You are cheating, you lying kitty cat."

"Whatever you say" Meowth grinned. "But where the hell am I supposed to hide a card? I'm not wearing any clothing. Or do you not want to admit that a pokemon beat you at poker, fair and square."

The sounds of arguing could be heard a fair distance from camp. Arm in arm, May and Ash walked into camp, smiling.

"Seems like you two had a lot more fun than I did." Paul huffed as he slammed his cards down on the table.

Ash's grin stayed strong as he glanced to Meowth. "How much?"

"20" Meowth said. Ash raised an eyebrow.

"Thousand."

Ash shook his head.

"You got taken for 20,000 pokedollars… By a cat?" May laughed as she spoke.

"You could have warned me not to play with him." Paul looked up at Ash, his eyes pleading. "Help me out. Dawn is going to kill me. "

"Fine. Meowth, Give him back half."

"Why? I won this cash fair and square."

"Meowth, What are you going todo with 20,000 poke dollars. Just take pride in smoking his ass. And Paul, who even carries that much cash on them? "

Paul shrugged his shoulders and Meowth replied. "Fine. I'll give em' back half. But for the record, I ain't happy about it. Here you go purple-twerp" Meowth grumbled as he gave back some of the cash.

"Thank You, Gold-Cheeks." Placing the cash back in his jacket he stood up and faced the couple. "So shall we start to head back May? Your father will start to get worried. "

May's smile disappeared as Paul spoke to her. She didn't want to leave yet. She had just gotten to see Ash as he was before, a wonderful person who cared about her deeply. She didn't want to leave him yet. "Well, erm." Ash came to her rescue.

"May wanted to hang around here for a little while so we could catch up a little bit more." Paul raised an eyebrow to this. "No not like that, Paul. I have my pokénav so I can give Norman a call."

"Alright. Don't get into too much trouble you two." Paul smirked as he turned away. "See you later. You have a match tomorrow by the way Ash."

"I know Paul. 12:00 Sharp."

"That's right." And he was gone.

Ash turned to face May, pulling her closer. "Now, it's getting to be dinner time. Shall I cook us something to eat."

May stood as tall as she could, on her toes, before she responded. "I'd like that." Before he could pull away to start dinner she kissed him quickly on the lips.

Ash smiled. "What was that for?"

"I haven't kissed you in five years. I'm wondering if you are still as good as you were. You'd better not be, that'd mean you've been practicing." May teased.

Ash pulled May even closer. "I'm still as good, but I think of it as riding a bike. Once you learn how, it's hard to forget. " And with that he pulled May into a kiss could make up for anything. One so magical that time seemed to stop for both of them until they pulled away.

"I love you." May whispered.

"I love you too. Now would you like some food?"

"I would love some food."

Ash and May were curled up next to a roaring fire. May lay on top of Ash and began to drift off into dream land. Ash looked down, knowing this moment couldn't last, and he couldn't have another for quite a long time. With Marina now on his radar, and he on hers, his life at this tournament was about to get more exciting, and way more dangerous. No doubt Marina had backup in the area, with a prize such as the one offered, no doubt rocket would be ready for anything. To control the birth of celebi, would be to control time itself. A wave of stress, frustration, and hatred rushed over Ash.

"Are you okay?" May said, half-asleep. Realizing how angry he got, his eyes turned blue as he worked to calm his anger.

"I'm good. Just thinking"

"I don't think I need you thinking. Last time you did that, I didn't see you for five years."

Ash chuckled. "You know, you should probably call your father. No doubt he is starting to get worried."

"Can you do it? I'm exhausted." May asked, her drowsiness still clearly evident.

"I can. How about you get up and make yourself comfy in my tent." Pikachu huffed at this. It meant he would have to sleep outside. At least Bayleaf would be willing to keep him warm.

"I can do that." May stood up and started to walk towards the tent. Ash watched her go, smiling from cheek to cheek. This girl was truly something.

Ash picked up the pokenav and dialed the number for the petalburg gym. "Petalburg Gym. Max Speaking. How may I help you?" ]

"Hey Max! It's Ash"

"Oh." Max sounded disappointed. Ash realized that he hadn't spoken to ash since the events in the forrest. Max undoubtedly still felt contempt.

"Listen, could I speak to your father? It is about May."

"Sure thing" The boy still sounded emotionless.

"Hello. Norman Speaking"

"Hey Norman, it's Ash."

"Hello Ash. I was wondering why Max looked so glum. I guess you haven't tried to patch things up with him."

"No. I haven't. I feel terrible. But it's hard enough with one maple not leaving me alone."

"So that's where May is. I assume she will be staying the night at this hour?"

"She will be. She has already made her self comfortable and I believe has already fallen asleep."

"Alright. Well thanks for the call."

"Sure thing Norman. Oh and one other thing."

"Yeah, what is it?"

"The next couple weeks are going to be hard on me and her."

"Whys that?" Norman suspected he already knew the answer, but wanted to hear Ash say it.

"Well, I do love May. And she loves me. But I need to keep my distance from her after tonight. Something happened this morning that is going to make this tournament extremely dangerous for me. And I can't allow that it reach May, or You, Or Max, or anyone else I care about."

"I understand."

"I know you do. But I'm not sure she does. Could you please try to help her understand why I am going to be so cold towards all of them. Help them all understand if you must."

"I can do that Ash. But why not do it yourself? I'm sure they would all be willing to listen and I'm sure you have ways todo it without anyone seeing you or suspecting something."

"Because, it would be too painful for me. " And with that, Ash hung up.

Ash entered the tent only to be surprised by what he saw. May laying in a seductive manner on the mess of blankets on the floor of the tent.

"You know I was thinking." May said as Ash took off his shoes, closed up the tent and made his way closer to May.

"Oh, that can't be good for me."

"You're right. It's amazing for you." May winked. "Five years ago. I was only 13. You were only 15. We were kids. We didn't really know what love is. But now, here we are."

"Yes, here we are."

"We know what it is now and can fully accept it." May pulled ash closer and climbed on top of him, straddling him between her legs.

"I think I like where this thinking went."

"I fucking love you Ash Ketchum. I know I have said that a lot today. But it is the god damn truth. I thought I wouldn't see you again and I tried to fall for other boys. But I couldn't. It's always been you. "

May leaned down, and kissed Ash on the lips once again. May came up and started to work her way down Ash's body.

"I've always wanted to do this." May got to her target and unbuttoned the pants he was wearing, to reveal boxers, in a shape resembling the structure they were currently inside.

"I'm sure you have" Ash replied, eager for her to continue.
