A/N: It's been since August. Sorry! :(
Sakura POV
(11:15 pm)
I can't believe I don't have my phone with me...What if my family tries calling? And it's stuck in Naruto's lounge! I facepalm as we drive to Sasuke's house. The blond is still in the back seat snoring almost louder than he talks. Sasuke, luckily, seems alert to continue driving. Thankfully, we are almost to the black haired boy's house. He notices my facepalm and makes a low grumbling noise, which I presume is an almost chuckle. "You might think I'm crazy, but I'm worried about my cellphone. It's at Naruto's house, and I'm...hoping no one has tried calling."
"You mean your psychotic friend?"
"Only because she likes you.." I bluntly respond. "And anyway, not just her. I haven't heard from any of my family since I flew in. I texted them telling them I landed, but besides that..." I let my thoughts trail off as I realize I'm rambling about my worries to someone who seems to have no worries. I notice that he had kept his eyes on the road the whole time I was talking, so I couldn't tell if he was actually listening or not. So instead I let it get quiet again.
"...You can use my phone." I look over at the celebrity in shock. Why is he being so nice? He was a jerk an hour ago! "Uhm...Maybe in the morning. It's late..." I yawn to emphasize the time. He doesn't take his eyes off the rode, although I do see a slight smirk playing on his lips. I take my eyes off of him and glance back outside at all the tall buildings and bright colors flying past. After a few more silent minutes—well, besides the snoring from the blond—we turn into a long driveway and keep going until we reach a slender gate. Sasuke pulls up and presses a few buttons.
"Hello, Sasuke-san. Glad to see that you are back so soon." I hear a courteous male voice say. "Gregory, can you have a room set up for the Dobe?...I also have a guest with me that I want in a room which includes a bathroom." Sasuke replies rather dryly. "Yes, Sasuke-san." And with that, the gates open to a place that I can only describe as heaven.
I can see a large fountain pouring water right in front of the two-story mansion. The driveway has turned from cement to cobblestone, which gives it a rustic feel. Dim lights are on which makes the home look as if it were made of gold. There are windows lining the walls which also reveal more golden light. The roof is a dark brown and the walls not windows are also made of brick. I try not to stare in awe too much, but Sasuke must have noticed because he makes that funny grumbling noise again. I turn and give him a glare.
"Let me get parked and you can get some apparently needed sleep, Pinky." I scoff at the nickname and start tapping my feet to get my energy out...and before he gets it in the face. He drives up into a well lit garage and then parks his fancy Ferrari. I sit there for a second deciding if I should make him get my door, but then I realize that I can do it myself. Good thing, too, because he went straight for his guitar. I roll my eyes and slam my door forcibly. He doesn't notice but instead walks right up to the door that leads into the extravagant home. I stand there for a second, then decide to follow him in.
I am met immediately with a plump but pleasant looking maid. "Hello, Sasuke-san's guest. Would you like anything to eat or drink?" I shake my head no then ask for my room. "Of course. I will show you, just follow me." She motions for me to follow her to the right and into a huge living room. Everything seems to be glowing and I can't help but feel like I'm in some kind of dream. And to notice that the singer was absent.
"Here you go, ma'am. I hope you find it comfortable. If you need anything just press the green button over there." She points to a slightly glowing green button on the wall next to the bed. I give her a thank you and let her leave. Then I remember that I have absolutely nothing of my own besides the clothes on my back. Ugh. Just great. Before I can inspect the room, however, I receive a knock on the door. I take the three steps and reach for the doorknob.
"Here are some clothes. I hope you don't mind that they're my own clothes. I don't think my mother's would fit you and we...never have female guests." Sasuke is awkwardly standing there holding out a folded up pile of clothing for pajamas. I feel my own cheeks start to heat up, and mumble something incoherent to even myself as I take the clothing. "I'm in the room just two doors down. Naruto will be on the other side of you. Get some rest, and..I'll see you in the morning for our outing." He walks back out and toward the direction I came from, presumably going to fetch the sleeping Naruto.
I realize I am staring at his distance figure, so I hurry up and close the door. Ino would freak out if she were me right now. Maybe I should keep this shirt from him as proof! I hold it up towards my body and realize just how long and big it really is compared to my figure. It's just a black t-shirt with a dark grey guitar on it, yet I feel like it's something important to the boy. He had also given me black basketball shorts. I slide off the shirt I'm wearing at the moment, then pull his over my head. I then unbutton my jeans and peel them off of my legs. When putting the shorts on they start to fall off, so I tie them as tight as I can. They still barely sit on my hips, but I decide they are fine to sleep in.
I yawn again and look down at my watch to see that it's 11:30 PM. I mentally add three hours onto it and realize that my family has probably been asleep the whole time of my fiasco. I hope Naruto remembers what address Sasori told him...I wish I had gotten it from him earlier...I decide not to look around the room but instead climb into the cushioned mattress to fall asleep. I lay there for a few minutes, then realize I again don't have any music to listen to. "He's a singer, so there must be something around here that has music." I murmur to myself. I slid out of bed and pad over to the door. I slowly open it and then think about what I'm doing.
I'm in an unknown house of a boy I don't even know. His friend is asleep in the next room, and for all I know could be a deranged killer! I have no way to contact my family unless I use his phone, and he might not actually let me see it. What if I'm being kidnapped? My mind starts to create an intricate story in which I'm the poor victim and then how I will escape this jail. But then I dismiss those thoughts and realize I'm being silly and should get to bed. "Sakura, what are you doing?" his confused voice makes me wish I hadn't come out of my room. I look back at the singer whose dress is very different. He's wearing a t-shirt similar to the one I was given, only with a dark blue guitar instead. And he's got black track pants on. He looks..normal. Except for his smooth, porcelain skin and black luscious locks falling into his face. Wait...what am I thinking?
"Eh..Sorry, I just...I can't sleep without music, and I figured you...may have something somewhere in this house. Since..you know..." I look away somewhat ashamed of myself and the thoughts I had been having a second ago about him being a psycho. He looks at me with an exhausted look and I feel stupid for needing music to sleep. "...I can let you borrow my CD for the night. It's...it's just piano music." he diverts his eyes as if he's hiding something, but then turns around and goes to fetch the CD. Seems like more than just piano music. I stand there awkwardly in the dark, I realize. The lights seem to have been dimmed while I was standing there, and then completely turned off. The whole house now has an eerie feel to it.
I hear his footsteps coming back and turn to look at the tired Uchiha. He has a CD held out for me to take. "Sorry to bother you with this...It must seem...stupid to need musi–"
"No, I have the same problem...Goodnight." I thought I noticed that his face had turned a slight pink, but I dismissed it as being late and dark. "Goodnight...Sasuke." I walk back into my dark room and close the door behind me. I flick the light back on to see the big room again, then walk over to the dresser beside the bed. I find the stereo on top of it and quickly put the CD in and press play. There's a light switch next to the bed so I use that to return to darkness. After climbing into bed and snuggling up under the blankets, I start to listen to the music. It was just soothing piano music, although I could sense a quiet voice humming along to the keys.
I feel my eyelids start to get heavy and have one last thought before I drift into the abyss of sleep—I can't wait to see the look on Ino's face when I tell her about this when I go back home.
A/N: YAY. This was another filler chapter, and I'm sorry about that. I wanted to lay down some surroundings and what not, as well as let you see a little more of Sakura's and Sasuke's interaction before their "outing." Do you guys like it so far? Let me know what you guys think with a friendly review. Thanks for reading! :)
