Hello. Mushi- wait I can't say that anymore since I changed my name... let's try that again... Hello peoples NarutoFreak412 here with another chapter for In Denial. Yes I have changed my username since I felt like it and I was bored during class so yeah.
Last chapter was something I did for fun on Valentines Day because I was a loner, and no I didn't make Sasuke a loner because I was a loner as well, that totally wasn't the case.. I mean, where did you get that idea from...
Enough about that, just a few quick notices. My bad for not updating soon enough, I've been tired a lot lately and I'm sure a lot of people can understand that because of school so yeah. Another thing is that not only will I be updating this story but I might update my other story Capture along with Forbidden Love.
You probably already know what Capture is since I told you before.. that's if you read this. Forbidden Love is a SasuNaru story, I saw a lot of those stories and I thought.. why not, plus I like SasuNaru I mean.. come on, they make a cute couple. But If you don't like that pairing then that's cool with me, you don't have to read it, I'm not forcing you.
Anyways enough with my rambling and lets get on with the story.

Naruto P.O.V
Hanging out with Hinata today wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We had a good time actually, a few laughs here and there and some small talk. I was surprised that Hinata actually asked me to be her Valentine. But to be honest, their was someone else in mind when I was thinking about having a Valentine. That someone having long pink hair and emerald coloured eyes. I sighed, I was actually going to see if Sakura wanted to be my Valentine. But that idea was shot down when she told me that she was going to ask Sasuke to be hers. I smiled and told her to do her best.
Come to think about it. Now that Sakura and Sasuke are friends, it's weird how Sasuke and I barely come in contact with each other. I mean sure we see each other around or make small talk while Sakura's around. But other than that, that's about it. I barely know the guy and yet he's friends with the girl I'm always hanging with. Weird.
"Naruto-Kun" I heard Hinata's voice. I turned to the girl. It surprised me that Hinata has been talking full sentences without her usual stutter.
"Ha. What. Sorry" I say with a rather sheepish grin.
We were currently in the mall now just roaming around before going to see a movie. "What movie" She asked.
"You decided" I replied. Honestly, I don't really care what movie we see.
"How about Frozen" She suggested.
It was about to start soon so I shrugged and agreed. We bought the tickets and some snacks for the movie. Walking into the dark theatre we decided to sit at the back to get a better view. The moment we sat down the movie began to play. I popped my feet up onto the seat in front of me since no one was in front of me. The trailers showed until finally the movie itself began.
I looked down into my bucket of popcorn to notice that it was halfway gone. And it was a large to!. I heard a giggle beside me before Hinata poured some of hers into mine. I shook my head and tried to put it back.
"It's okay. I probably won't eat it all anyway" She whispers. She also had a large bowl to but hers was now halfway while mine was full. I smiled gratefully at her before watching the movie.
Eating, drinking and a whole lot of laughing later the movie had ended. Both Hinata and I got up and I blushed at how much mess I had made with the popcorn, Hinata giggled before we both walked out.
"Hm that was a good movie" Hinata commented.
"Yeah. My favourite character was Elsa. I mean, who doesn't love super cool ice powers" I started to pretend that I had ice powers and shooting my hands everywhere while making sound effects.
"You're so silly" Hinata says. I chuckled before we exited out the movie theatre.
I saw some Ice Cream and bought us both one.
I got the chocolate while Hinata got the Vanilla. We sat down at a table facing each other. I looked at my Ice Cream to hers before grinning.
"Psh" I said.
"What?" She asked.
"Do you wanna build snowman" I said.
She started laughing before nudging me on the shoulder "You're so silly Naruto-Kun" She giggles. I chuckled before licking my Ice Cream.
Sakura P.O.V
I sighed as I walked around the mall by myself. Ino was with this guy named Sai, Sasuke was no where to be found and the same could be said for Naruto. In fact, Naruto and I were supposed to walk home but he was no where to be found. It's strange because he's always picking me up after class and we walk home together.
I shrugged it off. Naruto probably got another detention again, that boy always has a knack for getting into trouble.
I looked around the various stores and spotted the cutest handbag ever. But sighed since I know I can't afford it. While I was coming up to the Ice Cream stand I spotted a very shocking sight.
There was Naruto, casually licking his Ice Cream while laughing. But he wasn't alone, he was with Hinata!. It's as if they were on a date or something. I hid behind a nearby bush. Naruto and Hinata were just talking and laughing at something that Naruto had said.
This definitely looked like a date. All of a sudden Naruto reached over and wiped something of Hinata's cheek. The girl blushed a red color while Naruto withdrew his thumb and licked it!. I mean, that was probably one of the cheesiest thing I have ever seen.
I mean am I the only one that thinks that. It would have been better if he did it to me- Whoa where am I going with this? I must be crazy wanting Naruto to do that to me instead, yeah I'm crazy
"You're in denial" Inner mocked.
'Am not' I argued back.
"Whatever you say honey. Just don't come crying to me when you're lonely" She said.
I scoffed before ignoring her. Thinking that her logic is stupid since we're the same mind. All of a sudden both Naruto and Hinata stood up and started walking away. I quickly followed them. I totally wasn't stalking or spying on them, I was just making sure that Naruto won't be an idiot and screw this date up. I was just doing this for Hinata I mean, even though we're not really close friends, girls have to stick together.
I followed them to one of the stores that they stopped to look at. They both walked into the store and only then did I notice that it was a clothing store. Hinata was blushing and telling Naruto that it was alright while Naruto was dragging Hinata around. They stopped in front of this beautiful lavender shirt. Naruto took it off the clothes hanger and started walking to the check out counter. He paid the for the item and they both left the shop with Hinata stuttering and telling Naruto that he didn't have to buy it.
Sakura felt envious of Hinata, she's always wanted a guy to buy her some clothes and such. It would be nice.
"Tch. More like jealousy rather than envy" Inner taunted.
'Oh hush you' I shut her up. She hmped before keeping her yap shut. Honestly, I sometimes regret ever creating her.
Continuing to follow Hinata and Naruto, totally not stalking by the way. They stopped for a second since Hinata was searching for something in her purse. Sakura ducked down in a bush nearby, they weren't really saying much. Naruto was asking Hinata if she found it and Hinata replied that she was still looking, whatever that means. Sakura leaned in a bit so that she could get a better view of what they were up to.
"Sakura. Is that you?" I heard a voice and turned to see TenTen. I quickly got out from my hiding spot behind the bush and took a look back to see what Hinata and Naruto were doing. They were currently looking at the stores nearby.
"Hey Ten" I say rather awkwardly as I turned back to her.
"What are you doing here?" She asked suspiciously.
I shrugged my shoulders "Oh you know. Doing some shopping, checking out some sales.." I trailed off for a bit not even focusing properly
"Stalking Naruto"
"Stalking-" I slapped my hand over my mouth as I realized what I was about to say. I could hear Inner snickering saying that it was true and I cursed her. TenTen had an amused look in her eyes while she smirked a bit.
She raised a thin brow before speaking "You weren't by any chance stalking Hinata over there were you... Or is it Naruto?" She asked wiggling her eyebrows.
I gulped a bit before chuckling nervously. "Pfft. Me stalking Naruto.. hahaha.. you're funny Ten... hahaha so funny" I said. "I wasn't stalking Naruto I was just- uhh" I looked around a bit before saying that first thing that came to mind "I was just admiring this bush" I said proudly before cringing at my horrible lie. Ino was right, I am a bad liar.
TenTen still looked amused before she chuckled a bit. "So you came all the way down to the mall. To 'admire' a bush" She said, trying to hold back a laugh.
I stood next to the bush that I was hiding in not so long ago and stroked it. "Yup.. haha.. You got me" I laughed nervously. "I was just casually admiring this bush, I mean this is a really nice bush... I mean they should really increase someones pay for making such a nice looking bush" I said while still stroking the bush.
It was quiet for a moment before light giggles filled the air. All of a sudden TenTen bursted out laughing. I laughed stupidly at how lame I was being.
"Hahahahah. Admiring a bush.. can you get any lamer.. hhahaha" Inner taunted. I growled at her before pouting. Not only was one of my best friends laughing at me but my own inner thoughts as well. Maybe I should have listened to Ino when she said that lying definitely wasn't my thing.
TenTen seemed to calmed down, she wiped a tear from her eyes, light giggles and chuckles came out of her mouth once in a while. "I'm sorry Sakura. But that was just too funny" She said, clutching her stomach in pain. I pouted again, it wasn't that funny. I looked to where Naruto and Hinata were, in that moment my green eyes locked on to a pair of blue eyes. I blushed before ducking down, but it seemed futile since Naruto and Hinata were making their way over.
"Yo Lolly-Chan, Ten-Chan" He said before looking at me. "Why are you hiding in a bush?" Naruto asked with a raised brow. I got up quickly and laughed nervously.
"She's admiring that oh so amazing bush over there" TenTen pointed to the bush and I inwardly cursed her. Naruto raised an eyebrow before turning to look at me with amused blue eyes.
"Is that so" He chuckles a bit.
I rolled my eyes before punching him in the shoulder. "N-naruto-Kun. I-it's getting l-late" A tiny, stuttering voice said and I realized that for a moment we forgot that she was there.
Naruto looked at me before grinning. "Welp. Looks like I'm off" He says before both him and Hinata walk to the nearest exit. "Oh and by the way Lolly-Chan" He called over his shoulder "If you like the bush so much you can always take it home with you" He says with a wink and both he and Hinata walks off.
I blush in embarrassment while TenTen was busy laughing her ass off. I pouted a bit at the accusation before crossing my arms and walking off.
"W-wait Sakura... wait for me" TenTen says as she hurries up to catch up to me. This was not my day, what made it worse was that I didn't get the chance to confess to Sasuke at all.
Sasuke P.O.V
"Nah Sasu-Kun. Don't you think this pink dress looks really pretty on barbie?" Chiriko asked while looking at me with those big brown eyes of hers. I sighed as I nodded, truthfully speaking I didn't really care about what dress looks pretty on barbie since I have no interest in dolls.
You're probably wondering as to why I am currently playing with dolls with a 6 year old. Well, when we made it to Chiriko's house she asked me to stay while giving me the big puppy dog eyes. I'm a big sucker for the puppy dog eyes, that's why when a lot of the fangirls use the whole puppy dog eye look I turn away. I have been here for more than 10 minutes now.
"When does you're mom and dad finish work?" I found myself asking.
She shrugged her shoulders while brushing her dolls hair. "I don't know. Like, really late.. But then again there's my cousin who usually comes over to take care of me, but she's out on a date" She sighed. I shook my head, what kind of parents leave their child on their own at night. Her cousin is just as bad since she decided to go on her date rather than to look after her 6 year old cousin. I ran my fingers through my hair.
My phone began to ring and I took it out of my pocket. Itachi's name popped up and I quickly denied the call, it seemed as though he knew that I was going to end it since he sent me a message instead. I was going to ignore until another popped up.
I groaned in annoyance before checking to see what he wanted.
'Not coming home tonight. Hanging with the guys, pasta in the microwave. -Itachi'
Was all it said. I don't know why he always sent me these kinds of messages when he's barely ever at home. Ever since mom and dad died I had to take care of myself. Itachi would be out all day why I was at school and come home either drunk, stoned or not at all. It hurt me to see my brother like that, he was the one person that I looked up to the most and he let me down. The house was always quite, Itachi didn't have much time for me anymore since he never acknowledged my existence.
Ever since I turned 12 it all changed. Itachi began to acknowledge me more and try to make small conversation with me. But I always ignored him, I hated him so much and I still do even now. How dare he ignore me throughout my childhood in my time of need and then suddenly decide to be more concerned with me. He's home more now and at least tries to eat meals with me.
"Sasu-kun alright" Chiriko looked at me with worried eyes. Her little hand placed itself on the sleeve of my jacket.
I ruffled her hair and gave a small smile "Yeah, I'm alright" She beamed at that and gave me a hug. I chuckled a bit before removing myself from her small arms.
"Neh Sasu-Kun. I'm hungry" She says. Her stomach rumbles for emphasize. I chuckled before getting up and heading over to the kitchen. Looking at the time I noticed that it was too early for dinner.
"How about a small snack" I suggested.
She nodded her head "okay" It felt weird doing this since I was in a strangers house. Oddly enough it felt natural to do this kind of thing. I walked over to the pantry and opened it up. There were a lot of cereals, chips, cookies, noodles and stuff in here. I shook my head at the junk food and sweets. Looking in the fridge I noticed that their was a lack of salads and such and a lot of cheesecakes and ice creams. Frozen pizza's, macaroni, pretty much all that instant crap you make in a microwave.
I saw Chiriko go into the pantry and take out the big bucket filled with lollies. She opened the lid and grabbed a handful of sweets and placed them on the stool to her while grabbing some more. I walked over to her and took the bucket away, placing all the candy back into the bucket. She whined and protested about that.
"Give it back" She demanded.
"No" I say sternly. "These are no good for you. Eating that much candy will rot your teeth" I say.
She pouted before stomping her feet in a demanding manner. "But mommy, daddy and my cousin always let me have have that much" She says.
"Well this is me, and I won't allow you too eat so much candy. It's not good for you" I hear a sniffle and see that her eyes begin to tear up. I hate making people cry, sure I hurt their feelings but that doesn't mean that I like too see them cry. I sighed and knelt down towards her level. "How about you and me go down to the store and buy something proper to eat, then after dinner you can have one piece of candy and desert" I say. She sniffles some more before looking at me with those big brown eyes.
"How about 4" I had to fight down a smile, she's trying to negotiate with me.
"1" I repeat.

She looked at me stubbornly while I looked at her in boredom. She gave up and agreed that she'll be aloud to have one piece of candy. I nodded my head and looked at the time. Surprised that it was now 5pm.
"Come on, let's go down to the supermarket nearby and buy some dinner" I say before standing up.
She looked at me funny. "But there's already food here"
"By dinner I meant healthier choices of food.. like vegetables and such" I explained to her. She scrunched up her nose at the sound of vegetables, honestly, kids these days are so picky when it comes to foods. When I was a kid, I absolutely loved having vegetables and home cooked meals and such. Nowadays all kids seem to want is junk food, Jeez, I'm starting to sound like an old man.

After finally getting some shopping done down at the supermarket and trying my best to ignore the pleads of having pizza and such for dinner. I decided on a simple Pad Thai dish.
I was currently cleaning up the mess in the kitchen before I grabbed two plates and placed the meal of both plates. I sat Chiriko down in a chair and placed the Pad Thai in front of her. She pouted a bit before I motioned for her to eat it. She pouted some more before putting some in her mouth, her little eyes widen a bit and a small grin was present on her face. She began digging into the meal with a content smile on her face.
"Sasu-Kun. More" She announces while holding her plate up. I was currently putting the pan away when I glanced in her direction and chuckled at how fast she had eaten it.
With a smirk I grabbed her plate and put some more of the meal on it.
"See. I told you, you would enjoy it" I said as I placed the plate in front of her.
She only smiled at me before continuing to eat her dish. I placed the tea towel in the wash before walking back into the kitchen and sitting down in front of Chiriko. I dug into the Pad Thai happily.
I suddenly remembered how my mother would always cook for us while singing, while father would sit at the table and read his newspaper, Itachi and I would be sitting in the lounge watching T.V or outside playing hide and seek.
I didn't notice that I had stopped eating until I heard a small voice.
"Why is Sasu-Kun sad" I snapped out of my daze and looked over at the 6 year old in front of me. She had a worried look on her face and she had stopped eating her dinner.
"I'm not sad" I say.
She shook her head. "Nu-uh. Sasu-Kun is sad"
I sighed "Okay maybe I am a little sad" I admitted silently.
"Why?" Her big eyes were looking directly into my dark orbs with a sad look. I raised my eyebrow in amusement, this kid really was something to be worrying over a person she barely knows, kind of reminds me of someone that I know. I shook my head to clear those thoughts, becoming depressed and feeling sorry for myself would do nothing.
I reached my hand out and planted it on top of her head, ruffling her hair. "Don't worry about it. Now eat" I said before going back to my meal of the Pad Thai. She pouted a bit before continuing her meal.
The conversation seemed to have been forgotten since Chiriko decided to talk away about random things. She was currently talking about some of her family members that she likes.
"And then there's my favouritest cousin of all time. Hinata" She says proudly. My head snapped towards her as she babbled on about how awesome Hinata was and such.
'She couldn't mean' I thought to myself. What are the chances that the Hinata that Chiriko is going on about is the same Hinata that I've been crushing on for years.
"-But she couldn't make it in today since she had a date with some boy that she's been obsessing over. Nar-something" My eyes widen while I felt a slight pang in my heart, it was the same Hinata. My heart hurt a bit when Chiriko announced that Hinata had been obsessing over Naruto. I suddenly felt very self-conscious of myself. But shook my head at the silly thought. I am Sasuke Uchiha, son of Mikoto and Fugaku Uchiha. I could get any girl I want with a single glance, girls practically cling themselves to me, guys want to be me.
Suddenly the front door creaked open and someone came inside. A rustle of some kind off bag could be heard and the jingling of keys. My mind started concluding that I was in some strangers house, casually eating dinner with a child as if I lived here.
"Chiriko. You there" I heard an all too familiar voice that haunted my dreams at night.
"In here" Chiriko replied. My heart rate increased as the growing sound of footsteps came closer to where Chiriko and I were currently residing.
"Sorry about today, I promise I'll make it up to you. Oh, but you have no idea how-" She stopped mid-sentence, I slowly turned around and onyx eyes clashed with pearly white eyes. It was quiet for what felt like hours. The two of us just staring at each other.
Suddenly she flushed a red color while her eyes grew wide like saucers and she began stuttering like crazy.
"U-u-u-uchi-ha-ha-San... W-what a-a-are y-y-y-you d-d-d-doing h-here" She said nervously.
I swallowed the lump in my throat. "Having dinner" I replied in a monotone kind of way.
I mentally scolded myself for my monotone kind of ways. She looked around nervously and glanced behind me, I turned around to see what she was looking at and she was looking at Chiriko.
Chiriko giggled. "I didn't know Sasu-Kun and Hina-Chan knew each other" She paused for a moment.
"We go to the same school" I replied.
"Oh" Chiriko said. "And to answer your question Hina-Chan. Sasu-Kun is here because he's my valentine" She smiled a big smile.
I mentally face palmed my self. In most situations it would be considered cute, but in other situations it makes me sound like some kind of pedophile.
I sighed out loud and glanced over in Hinata's situation. She looked between me and Chiriko before blushing.
"I S-s-see" She stuttered out while nervously playing with her fingers.
Chiriko giggled and went back to eating her meal.
How did this day come to this. I was going to confess but ended up being to late, I told myself to give up, I pitied a little girl since she didn't have a Valentine, turns out the girl is a relative of the actual girl I like. Running my fingers through my hair I began to ponder the situation that I am currently in.
Having dinner with some kid who thinks of me as her Valentine while the girl I like is standing behind us.
I stood up from my chair and walked over to the pot. I grabbed another plate out and placed some of the still warm Pad Thai on the plate. I placed the plate on the table in front of an empty seat that was opposite Chiriko and to the right side of me. I motioned for Hinata to sit and have some.
She hesitated at first before sitting down.
"I-itadakimasu" She says quietly before eating her meal.
I had to keep myself from staring in her direction, she looked absolutely breath-taking.
Dinner was awkward, but thanks to Chiriko talking about her day it helped make the situation less awkward. And before I knew it the three of us were making small conversation about some things. I caught Hinata glancing my way shyly during our conversations and felt a bit smug. She would glance my way and blush, I would look over and her eyes would widen before her head ducked down and she silently ate her meal.
I smirked a bit, from the corner of my eye I could see her head raise and she would openly stare at me. I shook my head at her obviousness but acted as if I didn't notice anything.
"Neh Sasu-Kun. Can I kiss you" I choked a bit on the water I was drinking before swallowing.
"Eh?" I heard Hinata say.
"Why" I coughed out.
"Well, you are my Valentine" She gave me the puppy dog look. "Please".
"Fine, but only on the cheek" I couldn't exactly say no to a little kid while the girl I liked was watching now could I.
Chiriko got off her seat and made her way over to me. She climbed onto my lap while placing her small hands on my shirt. I looked over too Hinata to see her hand on her mouth, she was amused by the sight before her.
Chiriko tapped a finger to her cheek indicating where she wanted the kiss. I rolled my eyes before lowering myself too give her a peck on the cheek. I mean it couldn't hurt right, she was only a kid.
As I came closer to pecking her on the cheek, she quickly turned her head and closed her eyes, and I felt small, soft lips on my own. My eyes widen and I pulled away, Chiriko blushed while squealing before getting of my lap and running into the lounge.
I gaped at what had occurred, I just got played by a 6 year old, a fucking 6 year old. Me, Sasuke Uchiha. I raised my hand to my mouth as I realized what this meant.
I just lost my first kiss to a 6 year old.

And done. Yeah, after so long I finally finished this chapter. I'm going to be completely honest as to why I haven't updated this in a while, one reason being is because of school, another being is that I was too lazy and couldn't really be bothered... Yes I know I am a very lazy person.. no wonder why I failed P.E.
Anyways, I can't promise that the next chapter will be up soon, it might, it might, depends on how lazy I am.
