After a long hiatus I was finally able to post this second chapter. It's thanks to FutureStar27 who edited this chapter for me. That's really all I can say.

His opponent flipped his facedown monster face-up. It was an Egyptian looking monster like the ones built in the days of Egyptian slaves.

" I like to introduce you to Hieracosphinx (ATK 2400 / DEF 1200). I have nothing to destroy your dragon. I can tribute my sphinx for a great monster called Exxod."

A monster standing over twenty feet tall made its big introduction. Nuo knew right now there wasn't a monster that could beat the stats of the monster. Luckily, the monsters stats were in its DEF and not its ATK.

" By next turn that thing will be gone and you will loss this duel," Nuo snickered.

" I know your good and I believe what you tell me. If you can defeat me next turn I will explain everything."

Nuo drew thinking about that time he challenged a duelist to defeat him in one turn.

" I Activate Stop Defense changing your Exxod to attack position. Thanks to this card your high defense has been changed to standing as a weakling."

Nuo would play another card soon but for now he was just happy to see Exxod change its attack position. He could destroy it with Chthonian Dragon but he knew a better monster to attack Exxod.

" I summon Mirage Dragon in attack mode."

Nuo's dragon roared with immunity to whatever plan his opponent had.

" Mirage Dragon destroy his Exxod!" Nuo shouted.

The dragon attacked with a red energy blast blowing Exxod into pixels. He was open for a direct attack.

" Chthonian, use your tail on this duelist instead of your breath. Be nice to him."

The duelist was thrashed by the spiky cervical spine of Chthonian Dragon. He lost and Nuo deserved that explanation from him.

" I'm here because something's that might be coyote spirits are stealing KaibaCorp technology. Do you know anything about that?"

" I do. It wasn't me. Don't argue with me about it because it wasn't me sending them, but I do know the person who is sending those coyotes to attack KaibaCorp."

" I would say thank you but finding a leader of a creature of habit just fills me with jolly's." Nuo said in a weird way. " Oh, and I'm taking you to your leader myself."

Finishing the job at Kaiba Corp meant Nuo was free to walk home, seeing girls without smiles on their faces and thinking they wish they could be his girlfriends.

He felt better than that time he ripped off the back of his pants where everyone could see his back ankle to his butt because of that rip. Nuo was still thinking about these mysteries awaiting him in the future.

Later, Nuo was at home. His stepfather and two stepsisters were out so he helped himself to some leftover pasta and salad. What good would salad be without any avocado? The greatest part about it was no one in his family seemed to think so.

He liked avocado more slathered on a piece of streak just like he enjoyed putting feta cheese on a piece of steak. His pleasant time alone was interrupted by a knock on his door. He walked to the door and opened it letting a ten year old with a mail cap on in. He may live in Japan, but child labor wasn't that big anymore.

" I have a message for anyone in this house who can read it," said the boy.

" I'm the only one here so I believe that package belongs to me."

" You could just be a friend visiting this home but I will take your word for it."

He handed Nuo the package in his hand. Nuo went through the pleasantry of saying goodbye to the boy before clearing the table to open the package. He was blinded the moment he opened the package. When the light stopped he saw a small vehicle and a plastic figurine of someone he didn't know was moving around like it was alive.

" Hello Duelists. Would you like 100 million yen? Of course you would, but only the winner of a tournament of mine gets to keep it."

Nuo was intrigued by the idea of winning 100 million yen so he listened on. The recording went on giving the location of the tournament still in New Domino City. He thought something was wrong when the message said he had five minutes until the first round started.

He knew it was a hard task to get there in time but he knew he had enough limber in his legs to move to that location. He knew he was a boy who could run before he even imagined walking. He ran out the door and ran down the street.

At last he made it there when he remembered he didn't have any meals with protein in it-he wouldn't last two hours before collapsing on the street without meat or protein-and he got a egg sandwich from breakfast being open all day at Burgerworld.

On his way out he heard an argument between a very skinny father with his bony son about staying in the restaurant too long. At least it sounded like the father was concerned and not abusive to his son.

When he made it to the location it was filled with teenagers and boys in their early and late twenties. All the girls in the room looked like they weren't in their twenties yet, and weirdest of them all was one wearing a paper bag on her head.

" I heard when we are all here we get to step through doors to Duel one another," a kid said to his friend.

The kid was right but it would only happen after the person who invited them came.

Nuo decided to look through his whole deck to make sure his cards were good for the tournament. With his intellect he could make a good guesstimate of what players used decks for Fairy, Beast-Warrior, Dinosaur, and Fish.

The person who told everyone to come here made his appearance through a door. He had a sports headband around his neck and looked a little sweaty. This raised a question as to what he did before coming here.

" I'm so happy to see so many of you Duelists came. It is in my rules you will be stepping through these doors to eventually encountering one another and having a game. Only the winners can proceed."
