Elves Realm
Cian was sent by Hermione's power directly to her grandmother's presence. He arrived unexpectedly, and on his bum. Afraid and embarrassed, he quickly picked himself up and bowed to his Queen.
"Ah, I see my granddaughter has a temper, and is powerful enough to rid herself of you. If only I could be so lucky," the Queen reflected.
"Your Majesty," said Cian. "She is quite powerful, and has a mind of her own. I apologize for my entrance, however as you saw, it wasn't my doing," he smirked.
"Wipe that smirk from your face Cian," the Queen ordered. Then, contemplating the situation stated, "I am aware I was not scheduled to see her for another two days, however, I have changed my plans. Prepare everything. We are leaving at once. Hermione needs my advice so she can heal. Those wizards know nothing when it comes to Elf Magic. Tell Gringotts to prepare for her heritage test as well. Oh, and one more thing. We will be arriving in Muggle style. Don't forget my Manolo Blahnik's, please."
"Yes, Your Majesty. Everything will be ready in two hours," said Cian.
"Make it one, Cian. It has been 16 years since I last saw my darling Bebe, and my handsome grandson," the Queen said as she left the room.
Cian was striding through the Great Hall giving orders left and right. Elves were moving briskly as they prepared for the Queen's departure. Cian could only think of Hermione's potential reaction to her grandmother and what she would do. Her magic was out of control from what he could see, and the girl had a temper. "Merlin help us all when those two meet face to face," he murmured to himself. He would have to make sure he was not around when the explosion happened. He shivered at the thought.
Godric Hollow
The sound of the door woke up Camillo.
"Mother, what are you doing here?" he asked with frustration.
"What do you think? She is my granddaughter for heaven's sake and I want to make sure she is ok," the older woman replied
"Mother. You saw what happened in the hospital. You should had waited."
"It's okay, Mr. Pucey. I am awake and more calm. However, I would like to get up and have some breakfast. We have a lot to discuss, and I have a lot of questions, but I need to collect my thoughts first," Hermione said from her place on the bed.
"Good morning, Little One. How are you feeling?" he asked giving her a kiss on her forehead.
"I am feeling better. Not completely in control of my magic, but better. I want to apologize for all the inconveniences I have created. Could you please pass a pencil and notebook? They are more convenient than parchment and ink." When he passed the items she asked, "Mrs. Pucey. Mr. Pucey. Would you please leave? I have to…"
"You don't have to explain anything," responded Camillo. "We have plenty of time to get to know each other. Marcus will be here soon to check on you. He is concerned about you and what is causing your magic to flare up. Apart of that, I want you to know that you are loved. I will be in the dining room. . Call Bamby if you need anything. Oh, and before you ask, our elves are free, paid, and have vacations. They are also provided places to live when they have found their mates. Besides, your mother wouldn't have allowed it any other way."
Hermione only nodded.
Once she was alone, it was time for her to take control. First the "To Do's:"
1) Heal injuries and start physical, magical and mental therapy.
2) Family, Gringotts, questions, inheritance, pureblood classes. Meet everyone.
3) Become independent.
"Four should be Learn about Elf Culture," a voice interrupted her. In front of Hermione stood a beautiful woman, with long, brown, wavy hair and brown eyes. She was dressed in a simple flowery dress. Hermione attempted to get up, but the lady gently pushed her back down.
"I do not mean to be rude, but who the hell are you, and how did you get in? The wards should have stopped you."
"My dear child. I am Mauve, or Queen Mauve. However, to you I am Grandmama. Let me look at you, child. You are so similar to Ariel even in the temper," she said as she caressed Hermione's cheek. Sitting on the bed beside Hermione, Mauve continued. "I had been told you were injured. Let me help you heal. The transition for accepting your Elf heritage hasn't begun yet." With a wave of her hand all bruises and cuts disappeared one by one. Even the carved word on her arm mended, although slower than the rest because of the cursed knife that had been used.
Hermione was astonished, she never thought that she would be able to get rid of that nasty scar. Looking at her arm, with tears in her eyes she could only whisper "Thank you."
"It is nothing my child. Anything for you my sweet Mya. Now, what is that thing that you did not want to see me?"
"Queen Ma…"
"Ah ah ah, Grandmama," the woman corrected.
"Grandmama," Hermione relented. "It has been a very confusing couple of days. The attack. My parents' deaths. Learning that I have a family. My flaring. My injuries. And very imposing family members. I have not been able to processed it all," she sighed. "And now there's you"
"Is that all? Please. Nothing but teenage crisis."
Hermione was fuming. Rage filled her and her magic started to crack. She did not want to be rude, but what right did this woman think she had to dismiss her feelings like they were nothing? Then it started, the blue sphere appeared, pushing Queen Mauve out.
The door opened with a bang. Camillo, Anthony, Marcus, Harry, Luna, Cian and Adrian raced in. When they saw what was happening, was Luna who went forward and passed through the sphere like it was nothing.
"Grandmama what are you doing here?" asked Adrian. "You weren't supposed to come until tomorrow."
"How did you pass my wards?" a baffled Harry asked.
At this, Cian just smirked.
"I am Queen Mauve. No wards can stop me, Mr. Potter," she stated imperiously.
In the meantime, Luna was calming a very distraught Hermione. "Could you leave us alone please?" she requested of everyone. "Harry, Mr. Pucey, and Marcus should stay. She is coming around. Your Majesty, I can only say that you should back off a little. She is very unstable at the moment, and she might hurt you. Bamby?"
Bamby popped in and when she saw the Queen, she bowed down to her. "Your Majesty. How can Bamby serve you?"
"Actually it was I who called you," stated Luna. "Please escort Queen Mauve, Cian, Adrian, and Mr. Pucey to the parlor and bring them some drinks. Also, could you bring some breakfast for Hermione? Toast and fruits with a ginger sweet tea. Thank you." Then, turning to her audience, "You all need to learn patience." With that, Luna turned her attention to Hermione, giving her comfort and balance.
"That is Luna for you. She is also scary smart, and very protective of Hermione, so please just do what you were told," Harry said as he walked to the bed and sat at Hermione's side, giving her a hug.
Adrian watched everything with a pain in his chest. He was the one that should have protected her, comforted her.
"Jealousy doesn't become you Adrian," said Luna. "Just give her time."
Adrian just nodded and headed out the room when Hermione called him with a very weak voice, "Please stay."
It broke his heart watching this strong, hard-headed girl being so vulnerable and fragile. With a sigh of relief, he returned to his place in the room.
"Marcus, please check her and give her a very mild sedative potion she needs to be clear for what is going to be discussed," Luna requested. Then, turning to Hermione she said, "You need to stop being so stubborn we all want to help you, but you have to let us do it. It's not the world's end you know. You have a big family, you are not alone, and you have us to help with everything else on the emotional side you need. So talk to us, and tell us what you want, and we will try our best to help you."
Hermione relented to Luna's demands, allowing herself to relax as the extra people left her room. After drinking her potion and letting Marcus check her injuries, he gave her a clean bill of health. Queen Mauve's magic worked on her apparently. Bamby came back with a huge breakfast for her that ended up being shared between Adrian and Harry, much to everyone amusement, except Bamby.
"Mr. Pucey. Adrian. I would love to know you both better, but you have to remember that I had another family and a different childhood from how a pureblood would be raised. I need to make funeral arrangements for my parents, and I need time to mourn them so I can have closure. I promise, I will try, but please give me a few days
"I will give you all the space you need my darling girl, but we will not leave your side. There are still many rogue Death Eaters that want you dead, and frankly I just got you back and want to be near in order to protect you and that is not up for discussion," Camilo said softly but firmly as he held her hand. He carefully watched his daughter for any signs of depression or flaring from his words.
Hermione looked at Luna and sighed, "This is not easy for me. I had other plans and those are now ruined by a crazy mistake of an escape that clearly did not work." she said as fact "a new found family that by the way do not know to be very subtable." Turning to Luna she asked "What do you suggest, apparently I am not having a coherent thought at this moment"
Luna just hugged her. "Didn't I tell you she will come around? Those Nargles were simply infesting your brain, but nothing good old fashioned family love won't be able to get rid of. Now where is your list?"
Hermione, Harry and Adrian chuckled.
