Chapter 7
Lucy and Natsu was drinking and talking at the bar after their performances.
"So you have a tattoo?" Natsu asked. Lucy raised a brow confused while he continued. "In the song you said that you weren't going to cover up a tattoo. Lucy nodded her head in understanding and lifted up the side of her shirt to show her right side. Other guys in the guild noticed and had blood tickle down their faces. Natsu had grown a sudden blush at the action.
"Cool, what are they?" Natsu asked looking at the three small drawing on her ribcage.
"They're zodiac signs," Lucy started. "The top one is my mother's, Aquarius." Lucy pointed to the sign, "The middle one is my father's, Capricorn. And the bottom one is mine, Leo. The numbers under my Mom's and Dad's are their birth and death date." Lucy could feel her tears welling up in her eyes. She dropped her shirt and blinked away the tears. "Uh…I also have this one." Lucy pulled up her bracelets to show a semi colon on her wrist over some of her scars. "A semicolon means that a sentence could have ended but it didn't. I got it after the band and I became good friends." Lucy looked at each of her bandmates. Juvia was fangirling over Gray. Erza was striking up a conversation with Jellal. And Levy was still drink with Gajeel, not even feeling tipsy yet. She looked back at Natsu, who was looking at her with interest. She couldn't see a speck of pity in his eyes, like she expected. She felt her face heat up, which didn't go unnoticed by Natsu, when she heard Mira call her over.
"Hey Lucy, come here for a second," Mira called. Lucy excused herself from the conversation, to both of her and Natsu's dismay.
"Yeah Mira," Lucy said trying to regain her composure.
"I think you should play another song, the crowd seemed to love you guys!" Mira said excitedly. Lucy nodded for a response and called her band over. Juvia and Erza paused their conversations, and Levy paused her drinking game for a moment. Gajeel was feeling a little bit different while Levy was still as sober as a 3 year old. She giggled while she got of her seat.
"Feel free to sober up Gajeel, I got a lot more in me," Levy smirked back at Gajeel. In return he just stared at her with amusement in his eyes.
The band made their way to the stage and got set up.
"Hello everyone," Lucy said into the mic to get the attention of the crowd, "To the suggestion of the wonderful Mira, we will be playing another song." The crowd cheered in response. Lucy looked over to Natsu, and he had a big smirk on his face and gave her a thumbs up. She gave a small smile before ErZa started the drums.
Got up on the wrong side of life today, yeah
Crash the car and I'm gonna be really late
My phone doesn't work cus it's out of range
Looks like it's just one of those kind of days
You can't kick me down I'm already on the ground
No you can't, but you couldn't catch me anyhow
Blue skies, but the sun isn't coming out, no
Today is like I'm under a heavy cloud
And I feel so alive
I can't help myself
Don't you realize
Lucy started jumping on the stage as she sang the chorus. The crowd followed suit.
[Chorus]
I just wanna scream and lose control
Throw my hands up and let it go
Forget about everything and run away, yeah
I just wanna fall and lose myself
Laughing so hard it hurts like hell
Forget about everything and run away, yeah
So-so's how I'm doing, if you're wondering
I'm in a fight with the world but I'm winning
Stay there, come closer it's at your own risk
Yeah you know how it is life can be a bitch
And I feel so alive
I can't help myself
Don't you realize
[Chorus]
Run away, run away [Repeat]
Soon the whole place was dancing and everyone was singing along with Lucy.
[Chorus X2]
With the song ending, the crowd erupted with cheers. Lucy thanked the crowd and went back to Natsu who was still clapping for her. She sarcastically bowed and ordered another drink.
"That was really good." Natsu said. Lucy's cheeks got a faint pink on them and Natsu smirked at the scene. She's cute when she blushes, he thought.
"Uh, thanks," she said not knowing what to say. Lucy took a sip from her beer when she tried to change the subect. "U-uh, what time is it?" She asked.
"Um, 10," Natsu said checking the time on the wall. Lucy's eyes widened when she realized that she had to go and had to do her business.
"I got to go, sorry Natsu," she said as she hurried over to Levy and told her where she was going. Levy nodded and motioned her to go. She had won the drinking game against Gajeel, who was trying to appear not to been completely wasted.
Levy glanced at Natsu who stood there completely dumbfounded. She waved him over and he complied.
"Did I do something?" He asked Levy. She just laughed and told him that he didn't do anything wrong.
"She's going to not like me doing this, but if you really want to know where she went, then go to the roof of the hotel. She likes to play her guitar," Levy said to inform Natsu. He nodded and went out of the bar.
Levy then looked at her drinking buddy and laughed at him. He was swaying back and forth in his stool and almost fell back when Levy had caught his hand.
"You okay there buddy?" She asked. He nodded in returned assuring the petite girl he was fine. Levy just chuckled and helped him up.
"Okay, let's go mister," Levy said as she hoisted his arm over her shoulder to help him stand. "Hey Mira we're going back to hotel. Gajeel is completely wasted." Mira chuckled at the pair and wave them off. Levy walked up to Jellal and asked for their room number and key card. He gladly gave her the items, and was shocked to see her small frame hold up that amount of weight.
Levy waved everyone goodbye as she and Gajeel left the bar. Luckily for them it wasn't a long walk, just a couple of block down the road. Gajeel reeked of alcohol, but Levy didn't mind since she was friend with Cana, who was drinking 24/7. Every couple of minutes she would have to readjust the arm around her shoulder to get it more comfortablt.
The walk home would have been faster if Gajeel actually tried to walk. He kept going on about random things, and Levy just replied with short responses concentracing on getting him to his room so she can go to bed.
"You…know what Shrimp?" Gajeel hiccupped out.
"What…Gajeel?" Levy said, grunting to keep up the weight. Like seriously is he made out of metal, she thought to herself, maybe I'll ask him.
"You're…really pretty," Gajeel said pausing to let out another hiccup. Levy blushed a bright red, and didn't know what to respond.
"I don't know if that's just that tequila talking, but thank you anyways," she replied.
They made it to the entrance of the hotel, and Levy was completely exhausted. She knew couldn't make it all the way up the stairs without collapsing. Looking around for something she can do, her eyes landed upon something and it gave her an idea. She moved the big man to a luggage cart and tossed him on their. She leaned against a wall and took a little breather before the big task at hand. She hand to get him to the elevator, and get him to his room.
With the little energy she had, Levy began to push the cart with all her might. She ignored the stares she got from the other people. They weren't staring at the man on the cart, but what they were looking at, however, was the little blue haired girl pushing the cart mumbling profanities. She made it to the elevator in a record 7 minutes. She pushed to '2' button and waited leaning up against the side of the elevator.
The doors opened and Levy began to drag the big cart to the appropriate room. Once she got there she opened the door and shoved the cart in the room. Gajeel was already fast asleep when he first got on the contraption. She made it over to the desk in the room and wrote on the pad of paper, "Your Welcome." She then proceeded to close the not, but not before she heard her name come from the room.
"Levy," Gajeel said from his position on the cart. The said female blushed bright red and closed the door, sliding the key card under the door just so it's barely seen.
She made her way to her room and saw that Lucy had done the same thing with their key card. It was a common thing all her friends did because they knew that they all went to bed at different times. She opened her room door and put the key card back in place.
Levy made her way to the bathroom and started her nightly routine. She changed into her pajamas and brushed her teeth and hair. She made her way over to the bed and snuggled up into the covers, sleep came in a matter of seconds.
A/N: Well there's that. I hope you guys liked it! I felt like I needed to add a GaLe moment in the story at least once. I don't think I'll do it for the others except Natsu and Lucy. Leave a review. Oh and thanks to all the people who have favorited the story and left reviews. It really means a lot.
