A/N: I tend to drag stories I like, especially if they have a happy outcome. But I'm going to stop doing that now, I've decided to combine the chapters so we get to the good stuff sooner so this chapter is extra–long and probably dodgy as hell, but hey, if it gets to the point quicker. I'm sorry in advance for the shiftiness that is chapter 7 combines with chapter 8.

Dedication: To Drpep Mrwater

NB: Okay, so technically Forks is one little place with pretty much nothing right? If I'm wrong *sorry* but if I'm right, *whow* good. So if I'm right, for the sake of the story, there's gonna be two parts of Forks, the upper more richer side and the 'downtown'—though not really downtown—area. Upper Forks has the rich, mansion living people—Alice, Edward, Jasper, Carlisle and Emmett (basically the Cullens)—while the lower Forks has the normal people with Bella and her school friends.

Notes:

The existence of Werewolves and Vampires is well–known even among the Humans. Most humans prefer to not interact with the two species, but they don't mind/they can't do much about it.

Imprinting is a bit different here. The Wolf doesn't immediately Imprint on their soul mate like in the books and movies, but instead the Wolf identifies his Imprint then woos them and when the Imprint accepts the Wolf then the Wolf Imprints.

During the time that the Wolf is wooing his intended, the Imprinted is referred to as a Mate until they accept the Wolf and then are Imprinted upon.

scribbler09: Here's more :). I'm sorry for the wait.

lytebrytehybrid88: Who?

: I shall :).

Guest: I'm sorry :(, that usually happens when I get too into a story and I feel it in my bones and I don't even realise I'm dragging till someone points it out. You don't have to read the next 3 chapters if you think it'll just annoying you too much. I've done hectic editing and re-editing to cut down the chapters and Jacob and Edward will meet in chapter 10.

The main reason I dragged this one on was because I sort of wanted to torture Jacob, have him watch all his friends fund their Mates and be happy while he doesn't and he freaks out because time is running out for him, but I've tried cutting it shorter so he and Edward will meet sooner. Sorry for annoying you with the dragging.

I'm glad you like my story enough to keep reading :D, just 3 more updates, promise and it may even be cut down to 2 if I can work out a way to combine chapter 8 and 9.

I want to edit Pale Beauty first then carry on after. I have terrible writers block on the story, so yeah. Hopefully after editing and re-reading I'll have a clearer idea on where I'm going with the fic. Sorry, I keep abandoning my stories :(.

trithp000s: ±3 chapters and he will.

aidbye: Definitely, but Teddy, the smart little thing, will use Bella's affections to his advantage :). Jacob won't necessarily like it, but yah know, he can't complain if he gets to spend more time with his Teddy bear.

Mizuki8D: Here's more :).

Guest: I know how you feel. There are always storues that excite you when updated, I'm happy to know this is one of them. Thank you :). Here's more for you, hope you enjoy this one too :)).

The One to Fit My Better Half

Beautiful, vivid green eyes looked deeply into Jacob's own brown orbs, love and adoration flashing through the green orbs… Jacob ran his dark tan hands down the smoothest pale skin, kissing freckled cheeks and a nose with even more freckles… A voice as smooth as velvet whispered Jacob's name… laughter filtering through deliciously pink lips, like tinkering bells… A crooked smile gracing scrumptiously pink lips that Jacob so desperately wanted to kiss…his hands tangle with hair as soft as the softest silk…

"Your Highness, it's time to get up," Sam said gently. Jacob groaned, already planning to turn the other way and go right back to sleep, but before he could eve attempt to do that he felt a small body jumped onto him.

"Mother!" Jacob yelped as a knee jabbed at his thigh while another barely miss his groin.

"Morning Jake!" Alice said in an excited high pitched voice.

"Alice," Jacob whined, trying to push the girl off his body while still tangled in his sheets. "Why must you be like this?"

"Because I can! You're so nice and big Jake. Like a cuddly teddy bear." Alice threw her arms around the Shifter and pulled him into a tight hug.

"Can't you distract Quil?"

"We've already been through this," came Embry's grumbly voice. "That girl has way too much energy too early in the morning."

"Someone told me I have ADHD," Alice said with a small pout. "I do not! I'm perfectly okay. I just have a lot of love and a lot of it to give. Daddy says I'm like sunshine on cloudy day." Alice smiled widely.

"I believe that," Jacob said, pushing the girl off himself so she was sitting on the bed beside him. He wouldn't want Quil to get the wrong idea and get snappy with him.

"So anyway, Bells and I are going to go for lunch with Emmett. You guys can finally meet him. Sadly, Jazz and Ted had to catch a flight to Texas for the week."

"What for?"

"Work as per usual. And Jazz will get some time to spend with his family, so that's an upside." Jacob nodded. "You have to get to work now right?"

"I need to shower and have breakfast first."

"Right. Well, I'm hoping you guys are free for lunch today."

"Maybe."

"Cool." Alice hopped off the bed and skipped towards Quil who was standing by the door. "I really hope Emmett doesn't bail on us again. That man's always trying to get out of having lunch with us. Damn him! He's lucky I like him so much, otherwise I would've smacked him years ago."

"You have smacked him," Bella said behind everyone. "You smack him all the time."

"Shut it Bella. You only wish you could smack him."

"No, I think you smack him enough for the both of us." Alice grinned and shrugged.

"Anyway, we're all going down for breakfast Jake. Don't take too long in the bathroom." Jacob nodded and watched as Alice shooed everyone downstairs and left him in his room. He sighed, lying back on his bed for a moment, staring up at the ceiling and just going over his life.

A few minutes later, with a shake of his head, Jacob dragged himself out of bed and headed to the bathroom to shower. He didn't waste a lot of time in the shower since he still had to eat breakfast, it was one of his father's golden rules: You can miss lunch, you can miss dinner, but breakfast is not an option to miss. So the Prince always made sure he had enough time to sit down for a proper breakfast. Once showered, dried off and dressed, the Wolf Prince headed downstairs where he found everyone waiting for him.

"We were waiting for you to come," Alice said. "These beasts wanted to eat without you."

"I'm starving half to death because of you," Quil complained. Jacob chuckled but sat down and started his ritual of putting food on a plate. He was aware of Alice copying ever move while everyone else just grabbed food and placed it on their plates before attacking it—though the guys did used knives and forks this time around.

Once breakfast was over, the boys decided to do the dishes. Alice and Bella had to leave early for a school trip. Despite the fact that Alice didn't officially work at the Rez school, she still spent a lot of time there, she loved to be around the children and the children loved being around her. Charlie had to get to the station early so he was already gone.

If things had gone with Sam, he wouldn't have even allowed Jacob to be in the kitchen. But because they weren't exactly going with him, Jacob sat in the kitchen, talking loudly with his friends and cousin while they did the dishes. With dishes washed and packed away the boys all went out, locking the front door, then hopped into the car and Sam drove them to work.

The day went by slowly, lunch plans were cancelled since Emmett bailed last minute, telling the girls he had to fly to Texas to join Ted and Jazz for some business meeting thing there. So instead Alice came to the Sports shop with lunch—Bella was still on a school trip—and the boys along with the hyper pixie–chick ate lunch.

"So Alice," Embry said in an inquiring tone. "What do you do during your days?" It was really just a polite way of him to ask what she did for a living.

"I'm currently jobless Embry if that's what you're asking," Alice replied, though she didn't sound very sad about that. "I was working at a restaurant in Port Angeles, but those people are so demanding, I just couldn't take it, so I quit."

"Hey, maybe you could work here," Quil said with a smile.

"I could ask, but this place is hardly ever busy. I'm still wondering how they could allow all five of you to work here." Quil shrugged.

"Maybe we got lucky and since we're all sort of living together they just allowed it."

"Maybe that's it. Anyway, I want to go to Seattle tomorrow to go shopping. Wanna come with me Quil? I promise it'll be fun."

"I'd have to ask the bosses if I can get a can get a day off. Though I don't think it would look good, this is only my second day."

"Aw man! Ah well, we could always go on the weekend. You aren't working right?"

"No, not on the weekend."

"Cool! I'll see how much my parents are willing to cough up for my new wardrobe then we can go." Alice looked at her Barbie watch—yes, she had a Barbie watch though it was a very expensive diamond incrusted Barbie watch—and gasped dramatically.

"What? What's wrong?"

"I'm supposed to go pick my parents up at the airport. I'll just call and tell them I'm running late but will be there! I'll see you guys tomorrow morning. Since my parents are back, I'll be living at home. Though I highly doubt they'll be here for more than two weeks." Alice shrugged. "Later boys." She kissed Quil's cheek then skipped out the Sports shop and to her car, leaving behind a blushing Quil.

"Dude, that chick is on some other level of hyper I tell you," Paul said. Quil narrowed his eyes at his Pack brother but didn't comment, instead busying himself with throwing away the empty food cartons.

The rest of the day went by without much happening. One customer came in looking for hiking boots but overall, nothing really happened. At five the stored closed and the boys head home where they spent the rest of the day sitting around the Swan home doing nothing.

""

The next couple of days went by pretty much the same way. Alice spent most of her time at the Swan house with Quil even though her parents were back in town for a while. Jacob was honestly happy for his best friend and Pack brother, the guy was getting close to his Mate, getting to know the cute little pixie girl. Jacob was glad for that, that she accepted him so easily without question her own growing feelings for him or his random fondness of her. It was a good thing.

But Jacob couldn't push away the jealousy. He hated that he was jealous, he really did, but he couldn't help it. He wanted what Quil and Alice had. He wanted to wear that goofy smile Quil wore every time one of the boys mentioned the boy's Mate. He wanted to be protective of his Mate, to dock Paul whenever he said something insulting about his Mate, or glare at Embry every time he made a stupid joke. But he couldn't have that, he didn't have it and it SUCKED!

But there was nothing the Wolf Prince could do. He couldn't force it to happen, he'd find his Mate when the time came. So for now, he'd just have to wait. How long? He didn't know. Like his mother always used to say when she was alive: 'It'll happen when the time comes, you cannot force the hand of Fate'. So with those words, the Prince would wait.

In those next couple of days Jacob and the Pack had learnt what Bella was truly like and it had shocked all five boys. It'd started with the girl wanting to go to Seattle with Alice to buy some dress she'd seen in a magazine but she had work that day. Her father had told her this using this sweet sugary voice but the girl had thrown a complete tantrum and actually had the nerve to tell her father she hated him before storming up to her room and locking herself inside refusing to come out of it.

That had completely changed the Pack brother's perspective of the girl. She wasn't as sweet and innocent as they'd originally thought she was, she was only sweet so long as things went her way. She was a spoilt little brat that thought that if she demanded she would get what she wanted. Her father had spoilt her too much, trying to compensate the fact that her mother had left and dumbed her with the man in the sleepy town. He'd wanted her to be happy but he hadn't realised that he was ruining her and turning her into an utter bitch!

The thought of Bella being this spoilt little princess just served to make Jacob's mood worse since the feeling that she'd be helpful to him was squished. He most definitely would not associate himself with the girl knowing that she'd go all spoilt brat on him if things didn't go her way. He could not deal with that type of bitchiness. How he wished Rosalie was around though, she'd put that girl in her place with a few choice words.

Thursday night Sam decided that Jacob needed to go for a run to clear his head. They hadn't gone in a while, and the Head Guard had thought it would be a good thing for the young Prince to stretch his legs and get in touch with his other side. They ran for hours, using their Pack Mind to talk and distract Jacob, pulling him away from the depression he was heading towards. They ran right up to the Canadian border before turning and running back to Forks.

It must've been past midnight when they finally got back and Jacob felt tired but in a good I–had–a–great–workout type of way. They all took turns showering then spent even more time talking about nonsensical things, laughing and joking. It was around three in the morning that Sam literally Alpha ordered everyone to bed—though it wouldn't work for Jacob since he was Sam's superior in the Pack even know he hadn't taken the position officially, but he didn't fight the order either, they were all pretty beat.

On Friday there were a few more customers than normal. They'd come in to camp since the weather was apparently going to be sunny in Forks for about a week. Sam, bless his soul, made sure Jacob was always in sight while at the same time making sure that none of the customers were paparazzi who'd somehow uncovered where the Wolf Prince had been sent. The man didn't relax once until the last customer left with three sleeping bags and four pairs of hiking boots. At five the shop finally closed and the boys headed home.

Bella was still being a bitch and not talking to anyone but none of the boys cared enough to go try talk to her except Charlie who kept trying to get her to talk to him and apologising. She was just being a spoilt brat and they all knew it. Jacob would've paid hard cash to see how Rosalie would've treated the tantrum Bella had thrown. He really wouldn't have been surprised if the Princess had actually slapped the girl. Rosalie was very un–Princess–like when she wanted to be. Her short temper and cold nature prevented her from being like those snobby Princesses Jacob had met and he loved the Princess for that.

Saturday morning Alice borrowed her parent's car for the boys since she was going to take them to Seattle for a shopping trip. She got into another of her cars, a bright yellow Porsche, with Quil while rest of the guys got into Alice's parent's Mercedes with Sam at the wheel and Jacob riding shotgun while Paul and Embry sat in the back complaining about Quil riding in the Porsche. Sam shut them up easily enough with a few not so nice words and the rest of the drive was spent with Jacob throwing glances at the two boys before laughing and the three more relaxed boys—which Sam was definitely not included in—singing to cheesy road trip songs.

When they finally reached Seattle, Alice instantly dragged them to the shops and made them go clothes shopping with her. It was probably the worst five hours the boys have ever had to endure. And to prove just how bad things were, even Quil was having a hard time keeping a smile on his face. This made the boys laugh and joke quietly while Quil spent every moment that Alice wasn't looking decking Paul and Quil because he couldn't very well deck Jacob without Sam going ninja on his ass.

Over all, the shopping trip was named one of the things where once was enough to last you two life times. Alice was a horrid shopper; she couldn't decide on any outfit and at the end would just buy them all which she could've done right when she'd picked the outfits. But not Alice. No, she had to make sure she didn't have something similar at home, had to make sure the colour worked with her pale skin and had to make sure it would match at least five pairs of shoes even before she'd make sure that the outfit actually fit her small body. Seriously, that girl was terrible to shop with, lesson well learnt by the foreign boys.

After the longest shopping trip the boys had ever gone or more accurately been forced to go to, the gang had lunch and some sort of almost uppity restaurant—as uppity as a restaurant at a mall could be. Once more Alice mimicked the way Jacob ate and gave him a huge smile whenever he looked at her. She was admittedly the cutest adult thing Jacob had ever had the pleasure of meeting.

When lunch was over the crew headed back to Forks. They started at Alice's place to drop off her many shopping bags and help moved the bags from the cars plus another cab—yes, she needed another car was needed to carry her shopping—and get the stuff inside.

The house was quiet impressive—it was no castle—but it was huge. Alice lived in the upper parts of Forks, filled with mansions and snobby rich folk. Thank goodness the girl was nothing like the people. Her house—mansion!—was one of the biggest in the neighbourhood and impressive. It reminded Jacob of the house he and his parents used to go to on the beach on the warmer side of the Isles when he was younger.

The five boys got to work moving bags of shopping to Alice's room which was pretty damn large. The boys were impressed by it. They were unable to stop themselves from commenting on how pink the room was. It had all shades of pink with lace and flowers but it was beautiful. It reminded the boys of something a ballerina would live in.

When all the bags were inside and Alice had paid the cab fee, the gang headed back to Bella. Alice's driver was driving the Mercedes this time around so he'd be able to drive it back home. Alice dropped the boys off, kissed Quil goodbye then she and the driver left. With nothing else to do, the boys went inside to watch TV.

""

It was around seven in the evening that same Saturday when something unexpected happened. The boys were lounging around in the living room, not knowing what else to do in dreary, dry Forks when a knock came. Paul—who'd been complaining about being bored none stop since they'd gotten back from the shopping trip—practically jumped out the couch and ran to the door. He yanked the door open and the only sound that came from his lips was a drawn out 'Aaaaaah'.

"Well hello there sexy," a male voice said from outside. It was obvious whoever had uttered those words was smirking. The others looked at each other curiously then turned towards the door, waiting to see who'd spoken.

"Can I um… can I help you?" Paul's voice sounded strange, so un–jackass–Paul–like.

"Yes actually, I'm looking for Bells."

"Who?"

"Bella, the chick who lives here."

"Oh, her. Yeah, she's here."

"Cool…" There was silence for a while. "So are you going to let me in?"

"Right, um, yeah, sorry."

"You're lucky you're hot. It wouldn't be good for you if you were dumb and not good–looking." Jacob, Quil and Embry laughed at that and it seemed to snap Paul out of whatever brain diseases had gotten him.

"If you must know, I'm not dumb."

"Ah, so you're just dumb around me. Good to know."

"Screw you."

"With pleasure," the guy on the other side replied. Paul rolled his eyes, huffing as he moved out of the way. A boy about Paul's size, with dark hair and a mischievous glint in his eyes walked into the house. He spotted the four other males in the living room, three of which were in tears from laughing and one who was looking on with a serious look on his face. "So you said Bella was here?" the boy asked, looking behind to Paul who was caught staring at the boy's ass. The boy grinned, seeming to like the attention.

"What?"

"Emmett!" Bella's voice squealed as she came down the stairs for the first time since the boys had gotten back from Seattle.

"Hells Bells," the dark haired boy said catching the girl as she threw herself at him, hugging him. The Shifters were surprised to hear the low warning growl that escaped Paul's lips. "Down boy," Emmett teased, seeming to have heard the growl too. Paul glared at the boy before huffing once before going back to where he'd been sitting before he'd gone to answer the door.

"What are you doing here?" Bella asked once she'd moved away from Emmett.

"I came to ask you a favour."

"That's all you're ever here for," Bella said in a whining tone that seemed to grate Jacob in the most unpleasant of ways. After her tantrum he just couldn't stand her, everything she did annoyed him. Emmett's grin seemed to widen at the words as he threw a glance Paul's way, who was doing everything in his power to ignore the visitor.

"Not for long," the brunet mumbled, though it was loud enough for those with acute hearing to hear. Jacob wasn't sure if it was done purposely or if he genuinely thought no one could hear. "Anyway Bells," Emmett pulled out a folder from inside his coat and handed it to the girl. "Jasper's coming over tomorrow, could you please give this to him."

"I'm not your receptionist."

"I know Bells, you're my PA."

"Funny." Emmett chuckled.

"So will yah Bells, for me?" Bella sighed dramatically but took the papers.

"Fine, I'll give them to him. Why's he coming here anyway?"

"Don't know, he said he was coming to talk to Charlie about something." Emmett shrugged. "You'll know tomorrow I guess. Gotta go now Bells, but I'll be back." Emmett said this with a grin, throwing a glance at Paul once more who'd been staring but quickly looked away. Emmett chuckled. "Later Bells."

"Bye Emmett. See you whenever."

"Sure thing." Emmett nodded at the other boys then left the house. Bella threw a glance at the boys then huffed and went back to her room.

"I'm going to high five that bitch in the face one of these days," Paul grumbled, slouching down on his seat.

"Aw, what's the matter? Is Pauly–kins jealous?" Embry taunted in a sing–song manner, pouting and batting his eyelashes at the slouching Wolf.

"Shut up. And I'm not jealous."

"Course not man, that's not why you growled when Princess Isabella threw herself at Emmett," Quil said. Paul gave his Pack brother the finger, turning to the TV.

"Hey, on a happy note, Emmett will be back, and it appears he'll be back for you," Jacob said.

"And now he'll find out you've been hogging his sweat smelling hoodie!"

"Why can't you three act your ages?" Paul grumbled. "I swear you act like your sixteen. Might as well be." The boys laughed and continued to taunt Paul well into the night until he finally huffed and left the boys who continued to laugh their asses off.

""

It was three o'clock in the morning when Jacob was woken by his cellphone vibrating in the most annoyingly loud way he'd ever heard. But quite honestly, it was vibrating normally; it was just the fact that Jacob had been sleeping that made it sound annoyingly loud. For a moment the Prince ignored it, hoping it would stop vibrating and flashing but a few moments later when it didn't stop Jacob gave up and let out a sigh, grabbing the phone. He didn't bother to check who was calling because he had a pretty good idea who it was.

"Yes?" the Prince asked groggily.

"Are you awake?" Rosalie asked sounding wide awake and apparently moody.

"I am now." Jacob sat up on the bed with a sigh switching on the lamp beside him.

"Good! I need someone to rant to." Jacob sighed, rubbing his eyes and shaking his head to wake himself up more fully because he would never be able to just grunt–at–appropriate–times with Rosalie. She'd have his balls if he did that.

"I'm listening."

"So yesterday she makes me go on this lunch thing with Harry (1), not that I'm complain, the guy is cute in that nerdy ginger haired, freckled face type of way—" Jacob was going to interrupt and tell the Princes that Prince Harry didn't have freckles, but he didn't want to disturb her rant because she'd only get more annoyed "—but no. So I get back from the lunch to find her having her own lunch thing with some unimportant Duchess of wherever, where she was basically giving my unborn children names."

"Wait, what?"

"Jacob, are you even listening to me?!"

"I am. I just didn't get the naming babies part."

"Jacob, my mother has it in her head that I'm marrying Harry!"

"Harry who?"

"Harry of England you idiot!"

"Oh… I get it now."

"Keep up Jacob! I don't have the heart to keep repeating myself."

"Sorry."

"So anyway, I tell her that Harry and I will not be getting married."

"Doesn't he have a girlfriend?"

"Like I really even care about what other Royals are up to or who they're with! Honestly Jacob, you're the only other Royal whose business I actually stick my nose into. And besides, shouldn't you know? Didn't you have a lunch with his family not so long ago, like right before Will got married to what's her name?"

"Katherine."

"Yeah, that one."

"Yeah, but it wasn't to socialise. The family came to the Isles to discuss that thing about allies and treaties and stuff. You know; those long and boring meetings you don't have to go to."

"But aren't you supposed to be all friendly with them, ask about their lives and pretend you care even when you really don't?"

"I missed that part of the lunch. I had a Pack meeting so I had to excuse myself from that. My father stayed though…."

"Right… Anyway, back to me! So I tell her that there will be no wedding bells anytime soon and do you know what that woman says to me? Do you know what she said?"

"No, what did she say?"

"She says, and I quote: 'I'll probably be in my grave by the time you get married'." Rosalie imitated her mother's voice to the T. It was quiet scary actually. "Can you believe that woman?! She's trying to guilt me into marriage! I will get married when I bloody well want to, not when she thinks I should."

"Aw come on Rosa, it's mostly because she got married around your age."

"I'm twenty–three Jacob! I still have enough time to pick a husband! And I don't need her to fucking pick a husband for me! I am very much capable of doing it myself. My mother has no boundaries, really!"

"Maybe she's bored?"

"Not maybe, she is bored. And the fact that my father is off to Denmark or where ever he's gone to for the next three months, she's even more bored than before. Honestly, I have breakfast; lunch and dinner dates planned today and I swear they'll all bore the hell out of me. Thank goodness dear Will got married when he did or else he'd have to endure my mother trying to set us up." Jacob laughed at that. He'd witness one of the many times that Princess Adelaide—Rosalie's mother—had tried to score points for his daughter with the English Prince. It was funny and sad at the same time. Rosalie absolutely hated it and continuously told her mother that the Prince was with someone, but would the woman listen? Not until the Prince got married.

"But on the upside, she's stopped doing that."

"And on the downside she's trying to set me up with his brother."

"He's alright."

"I know that. But not for me. Ugh, I can't stand Adelaide sometimes!"

"Why are you calling your mother by name, Rosa?"

"I do that when I'm annoyed with her and want to disown her. Now, enough about her, let's talk about you. How's your man hunt going?"

"Fruitless." Jacob let out a soft sigh that he hoped went unnoticed by Rosalie. But he had no such luck.

"Don't be all depressed about it Jake, it's too soon."

"We're coming to a close with the second week Rose, which basically means I have two more weeks left before I have to come home."

"Well at least you won't marry some awful girl or guy who's only with you because of who you are."

"No, I'll marry someone who's only doing it to get their mother off their back."

"You're so funny," Rosalie said with an unimpressed tone. Jacob chuckled, rolling his eyes. "But it'll be alright puppy, I promise."

"How can you be so sure about that?"

"Because I'm actually being optimistic about this and do not doubt it." Jacob thought about that for a moment. That was actually true. Usually Rosalie was pretty pessimistic about anything of the romantic sense but whenever she would be optimistic and think a relationship would succeed or happen, it usually did. She had this freaky third–eye thing going on when it came to relationships which was mostly why she refused any of the people her mother set her up with.

"Fine… I'll take your third–eye for it."

"Hilarious Jacob, you're absolutely funny. You should become a comedian." Jacob laughed as quietly as possible at the girl's tone. "Anyway, how's America treating you?"

"It's dry where I'm staying. It rains most days, and if not rainy then cloudy. I miss home. It's always sunny in La Push."

"I would too if I was living in a place like that. But it can't be that bad right?"

"We have jobs, so that distracts us. But then this place is so small hardly anyone comes to buy anything."

"But shouldn't that make you happy?"

"It does, sort of. But then it would be nice if more people came in you know."

"I guess that would be nice… So what time is it there?"

"Almost four—" hold for dramatic effect, "—in the morning. And there?"

"It's just after one here so I guess we're what, plus–minus ten hours ahead here?" Aaand the Lady Rosalie doesn't even care.

"Apparently so."

"I'll remember that next time. Not that I'll care when dear mother is annoying me and I need to rant."

"Mm…"

"Well go back to sleep puppy, I'll talk to you soon."

"Sure Rose. Good night–morning?"

"Good afternoon puppy." Jacob rolled his eyes, waiting for Rosalie to hang up before he too ended the call. The Wolf Prince let out a soft sigh then shuffled back into the covers. He knew he wouldn't be able to fall back asleep for a while so instead he grabbed his earphones from the table and decided to listen to music till sleep finally came.

""

Jacob wouldn't be able to say when he'd fallen asleep but he was next woken by his phone ringing once again. He hated talking through earphones so he pulled them off before sluggishly answering his phone. He looked down at the screen and found that his father was calling. With a small smile Jacob answered his cellphone.

The next hour and a half was spent with the Wolf Prince speaking to his father about his time in Forks. His father had offered to set him and his Guards some tickets to go somewhere else to look there but Jacob refused for two reasons, one being that he was going to put trust in Rosalie's optimism and the second being his Pack Mates that had found their Mate's in Forks. It wouldn't be fair on them to leave their Mates just because Jacob couldn't find his. Of course it was only two members, but still.

When Jacob was done speaking to his father he hung up and decided to get up. Since it was Sunday everyone in the house was going to sleep in, but he'd already been woken twice and he didn't think he'd handle a third time graciously. First the Prince started in the bathroom to use the toilet and to brush his teeth then went back to his room to grab his cellphone and earphones then headed downstairs to the kitchen. He actually wasn't surprised to find Sam already up.

"Good morning Your Highness," the head Guard said slightly bowing his head. Jacob sighed, rolling his eyes.

"You know you're supposed to be calling me Jacob right?" Jacob asked sitting down at the table.

"When others are around, yes. But since no body is around I will use your title."

"Sure, sure."

"Would you like something to eat, Sire?"

"Sure Sam, why not?" Jacob didn't even try to get up to help with the making of breakfast because he knew Sam would only make him sit down. So he watched Sam making eggs, bacon and toast and when he got bored of watching the man making breakfast he decided to text Rosalie. He found out from the Princess that she was headed to a restaurant for a lunch–a–din with another of the men her mother had set her up with. She hadn't explained much in the text, but Jacob could just tell the blonde hated every minute.

Sam finished making breakfast and placed a plate in front of Jacob who thanked the Guard. Sam nodded then left the kitchen, leaving Jacob to eat breakfast on his own. Just as the Shifter Prince finished his breakfast, the rest of the crew came down. They all decided they'd go for a run in their Wolf forms and would return sometime during lunch.

Sam wrote Charlie a quick note then everyone went to grab what they'd need for the run. Jacob grabbed a credit card that had been made specifically for the trip—one that paparazzi wouldn't be able to tie to the Prince unless they were really looking—and a pair of sneakers, jeans and t–shirt and shoved them in a backpack that wouldn't be too heavy when tied around his ankle. When he was done packing he headed downstairs in just his sleeping shorts and found the others also had small bags with clothes.

"Ready to go?" he asked them. They all nodded and they walked out the house and into the forest. Everyone pulled off their sleeping shorts and shoved them into their bags then tied the straps of the bags around their ankles then Shifted into their Wolves and were off.

They ran till they reached the boarder and crossed it into Canada. They stuck to the forest until they reached Vancouver. When they reached the place they Shifted back into their Human forms and got dressed then headed to a restaurant for breakfast. After breakfast they just roamed around aimlessly then decided to help Quil find some type of present for Alice.

When Quil finally found something he thought would suit Alice, Jacob paid for it—even though Quil tried to protest—then they left the shop and decided it was probably time to head back to Forks. They all made their way to the forest once more; avoiding anywhere where there might be people and Shifted then ran back to Forks.

It was around two when they got back to the Swan home. Charlie had obviously gone to work and nobody really cared where Bella had gone off to but they figured she'd gone out with Alice since there, in the living room was an Xbox, ten 2 litres bottles of cool drinks and ten boxes of pizza and a note from Alice which simply said 'Before you kill each other from boredom ;)'. The boys set up the Xbox and spent the afternoon playing and eating.

No one had the motivation to make dinner so instead the boys ordered more pizzas. Around seven Bella came home with Alice and some blond guy who looked like he was either constipated or… no, he looked constipated. Bella headed upstairs to go grab the files Emmett had brought in the day before. Alice dropped herself on Quil's lap.

"Everyone, this is Jasper, my brother from other mother," Alice said. "And Jazz, these are the boys I was telling you about. This is Quil," Alice smiled widely at the boy who blushed slightly, smiling.

"The boy you won't stop talking about," Jasper said with a deep Southern drawl.

"The same one! And these are his friends Jacob," Jasper nodded at the boy. "Sam," he nodded at Sam who nodded back. "Paul…"

"The guy Emmett was talking about?"

"The exact same one! The same one whose pants he wants to get into." Paul choked on his own saliva hearing that. Alice laughed turning to the man. "Oh, you are going to have a hard time getting rid of him."

"I feel real sorry for him," Jasper drawled looking at the male with narrowed eyes then nodded. "So that's why… Alright, I understand." Alice giggled, nodding her hand.

"And that over there is Embry." Jasper nodded but the boy completely avoided eye contact with the blond. Jasper frowned, then blinked and turned to Alice. Bella finally came down with the folder.

"Damn Bells, how long does it take to get a folder?" Jasper drawled at the girl.

"Sorry," Bella said with a small smile. "They were under some books." Bella handed the folder to Jasper who looked over it quickly.

"This all of it?"

"I wouldn't know. He just gave me the folder and told me to give it to you."

"I was sure Ted added the finances in this folder too."

"I have no idea. You'd have to call him."

"Nah, no need. Just realised what this was about. Emmett didn't explain it well enough. Thanks anyway Bells."

"Sure Jazz."

"I should be heading out then. Will I see you later Ally?"

"Yeah Jazz," Alice replied. "Mom's making me stay in the house though I'm like half bored to death at home."

"Alright. Well it was lovely meeting you all."

"Bye Jazz," Alice said with a wave. Jasper nodded then headed out the house. Bella let out a sigh then plonked down the unoccupied couch. "What's for dinner?"

"We ordered pizza," Jacob said absently. His eyes had been on Embry since the boy had avoided meeting Jasper's eye. When the blond male had stopped looking Embry had seemed to gain some confidence and looked at the guy with almost longing. If Jacob could, he'd bitch slap Fate because now it was just being cruel. First Quil, then Paul now Embry?! So were they all going to find their Mates before he did? Was he supposed to just sit back and watch as his friends found their Mates? That seemed a bit unfair. Not because he was the Prince or anything, but because he so desperately needed a Mate. It just wasn't fair.

"Right Jake?" Jacob blinked, looking at Alice who was looking at him expectantly.

"I'm sorry, what?" he asked.

"Never mind," Alice said.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be Jake, it's… whatever. Paul seems to think it was a stupid question anyway." Jacob looked to Paul who was trying not to burst out laughing.

"He laughs now, but he won't be laughing when curls comes over to annoy him." Paul's smile disappeared in an instant and everyone laughed, even Quil who'd been wearing an annoyed look laughed.

"Shut up Jacob," Paul grumbled.

"Hey, maybe we should tell him about his sweaty sweater."

"You're not being funny."

"So it's okay to make fun of Quil's Mate but we can't make fun of you?"

"Whatever man." Alice grinned.

"Well there!" she said to Paul who only narrowed his eyes but said nothing because he knew that Quil now had ammunition.

Jacob jumped half out of his skin when his cellphone suddenly vibrated. He huffed a breath as he pulled the cellphone from his extremely tight jeans. He didn't even know what Rosalie was thinking when she packed his jeans. They were all the same one–size–too–small and it was a nightmare to put them on. He wasn't very well going to put on his Armani pants or something, that wouldn't be a wise idea. When Jacob finally got his cellphone out he had to roll his eyes seeing the caller ID.

"What happened this time?"

"She told that idiot, disgusting pimply face freak—who is like five years younger than me by the way—that I had the hots for him!" Jacob chuckled as the Princess practically screeched the words out.

"Oh, I'm so sorry."

"No you aren't, you asshole! Jacob, I have to leave this place or I'll go absolutely insane! I can't stand breathing the same air as that woman! I love her, heavens knows I do, but the things she does. I mean honestly, 'she 'as ze 'ots fer you'. Who says that? I mean seriously. The only reason I smiled at that ridiculous notion was because he's some multi–billionaire's son. His father is doing business with my father so I had to be nice. I couldn't very well tell the guy that he absolutely disgusts me, like puke in my mouth a little disgusts me!"

"Ouch. That's hurtful Rosa."

"Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't care less what he looks like. It's just his personality is shitty to the nth degree. He thinks he shits ice–cream, that booger. You should've seen the way he kept snapping his fingers to get the waiters attention. Super. Sized. Ass. Hole! But personally I think I did my bit when I completely ignored him and flirted with the waiter."

"You are pure evil…."

"I'm awesome and you love me."

"Sure Rosa…" Jacob looked up at the TV and found that they'd changed to E! Entertainment. Jacob saw that they were talking about a boy who'd been spotted having a date with Princess Rosalie. "Oh hey, your… did you see E!?"

"Bloody hell, I wouldn't be surprised if he was the one that called the damned paparazzi, that self–righteous prick!" Jacob laughed. "He's probably going to go tell all his friends that I want in his pants. Like EEW!"

"But it's good for business isn't it. Keep clients happy and all that shazz."

"I suppose. But Daddy always said 'dishonest business is no business at all'."

"He did not! And why the hell are you calling your father 'Daddy', that is wrong in so many levels. You're too deep in evil to pull off 'Daddy' and you're way too old for it."

"Shut up Jacob! I'm flying to Denmark tomorrow morning. I can't stand Adelaide right now."

"And what are you going to do there? You know she'll just make your father make you go out."

"But I can just bat my lashes and be daddy's angel and I'll be set." Jacob laughed, rolling his eyes.

"Obviously." Jacob heard Adelaide shouting something to Rosalie and the Princess replying back in French before groaning in annoyance.

"I have to go Cherie; I will speak to you soon."

"Sure thing Rosa."

"Oui maman, je vaius quand même au Danemark! Ciao Jake." Rosalie hung up still arguing with her mother about leaving for Denmark in French. Jacob chuckled as he ended the call and pocketed his cellphone.

"What was the Princess ranting about this time?" Paul asked. The tone he'd used and the way he'd worded the question made it seem as though the Shifter was talking about some spoilt brat instead of an actual Princess.

"Her mother as per usual," Jacob said rolling his eyes.

"Does that girl ever not have some argument with her mother though?" Quil asked.

"She scares me when she tries to be nice, it always feels like she's plotting something sinister," Sam said thoughtfully. The other La Push Natives looked at him, actually surprised that he'd made a comment about the Princess but when the words finally sunk in they couldn't help but laugh and agree.

"It does, because she's never nice!"

"She's only nice to Jacob," Embry said.

"No she isn't," Jacob said. "She acts nice, but most of the time she uses me as her punching bag." They all laughed.

"Wait, who are we talking about?" Alice asked, eyes wide with curiosity.

"Jacob's cousin," Embry supplied with ease.

"Ah… What time is it? I have to be home by nine. Jazz is supposed to come pick me soon."

"Is he staying at your place?" Bella asked.

"No, just taking me home coz he has to drive all the way to Port Angeles. He and Teddy might be getting a place there. Emm might move in too."

"Really? Teddy's parents are actually going to let him move out officially?"

"Not yet, no."

"But Ned's old enough to move into his own place though!"

"He is Bells. He earns his own cash and everything. But his parents don't want him to leave permanently. I mean he's already pretty much living here, but he still has to fly to Chicago like every weekend."

"Well that's ridiculous!"

"Yeah… I guess it is." Alice patted Quil's leg then frowned. "What's in your pocket?"

"Oh, I almost forgot," Quil said. He shuffled about slightly before pulling out a small box and handing it to Alice.

"You aren't going to ask me to marry you are you?"

"N–no."

"Oh, cool because I can tell you now I am not ready for that stress! So, what is it then?!"

"Open it." Alice opened the box and inside sat a pair of gold earrings. One of them was the shape of an A and another was the shape of a Q.

"Aw Quil, I love it!" Alice wrapped her arms around the boy, kissing his cheek. "Thank you!"

"It was nothing."

"Look at them Bells, aren't they just the cutest things you've ever seen?" Alice showed Bella the earrings. The girl looked at them and nodded.

"They are cute Alice," she said but with less enthusiasm as Alice.

"I know! And they're gold so I can wear them with anything. Thank you Quil." The boy grinned. Alice's cellphone vibrated and she looked at it. "Well that's Jazz here to pick me up. I'll come see you guys at work tomorrow."

"Sure thing," Quil said. Alice kissed Quil's cheek, called goodnight to everyone then rushed out the house. Bella let out another of her dramatic I–don't–want–to–be–here sighs.

"I think I'm going to go to bed now," Jacob said getting up. "Goodnight everyone."

"Yeah, we're all going to head to bed now," Quil said getting up because nobody wanted to be stuck with Isabella at the moment. The boys stretched and went up to their rooms to change into their pyjamas then all met up in Quil and Embry's room and spent the rest of their night there and at around two they all decided to head to bed since they had work.

TBC…

(1) Yes, that Harry. And even his brother is featuring. I don't know if this is allowed, but hey, I had to name at least one—or two—real Royals and since they're so well–known I thought: Why not them?

Next Chapter: Sam meets his Mate :))… (Yes, I do luRve torturing Jacob, poor thing. Watching his friends find Mates while he gets nothing *tear*)

Anywhoo…
