Sometimes I feel like writing these chapters have become a way to escape the stress that this world has. I do enjoy this, and I hope all my readers truly enjoy this story, so I shall now present to you the next chapter.
As Jeremy and Jack both walked back towards Martha's house, they wondered exactly what power these Dark Signers were hiding. Jeremy looked at his mark, wondering why he was chosen to become one of the legendary Defenders, and how they truly tie in with the signers. As they approach the house, they both notice the duel runner is sitting in front of the house. It appears the be a black Alpha Frame IIII with a red stripe going around the side. Destin and Yusei are having a conversation next to it.
"Martha never lets me down, she somehow always has the parts I need to repair or build a duel runner" Yusei says.
"I was happy to hear that it would finally be possible for me to Turbo Duel." Destin responds.
"I just hope that the battle was a victory, the fact that my mark was glowing means that the worst has yet to come."
"Jeremy was fighting, Lazar showed me his file, I know he won. Speaking of which, it would seem like his arm looks a little different there."
Yusei turns around and looks at Jeremy, he notices the mark on his arm. "So that must be the mark of a Defender Goodwin kept talking about,
exactly what did the duelist use?"
"Ok this is not going to sound good, but most of their duelists have dragons whose powers are greater than yours." Jeremy says.
"How is that possible? You mentioned something about how the dragon looked like mine but it was more powerful, yet how can that be? Our dragons are one of a kind cards." Jack says with doubt in his voice.
"It wasn't Red Dragon Archfiend, it seemed like it was a more powerful version that would destroy yours with no problem, not to mention the Blood Mefist-"
Destin interrupts. "Whoa whoa whoa, Blood Mefist? The Blood Mefist? That card was an illegal shadow card!
The fact that they have this, the story of the Crimson Mefist is true."
"Crimson Mefist? How are these two creatures alike?" Yusei asks.
Destin begins his explanation. "Throughout my studies of shadow cards, I came across an interesting one called the Crimson Mefist. This monster, if it was ever summoned, if it finished off it's opponent, it would literally kill them. The card was taken off the market, locked up, and the key was thrown away.
Unfortunately someone managed to get a hold of it, but somehow, they took out the shadow factor of the card. They made a new card with the same effect as the old one, and thus Blood Mefist was born. This card still had unknown powers that would banish the opponent if they lost, did your opponent vanish by this card? Or did he have an Immortal?"
"After I destroyed the Mefist and won the duel, he just vanished." Jeremy says.
"Interesting, Yusei I'm going to take the runner for a test ride."
Yusei looks at Destin. "Are you sure? Another messenger or even a Dark Signer could be waiting this time."
"I'll take my chances, I need some answers, I'll be at the junkyard if anyone needs me."
Destin gets on his new duel runner and rides off. He heads towards the junkyard, the location of the reactor that caused Zero Reverse. Destin hits the breaks as he arrives. He gets off his duel runner and looks around.
"This place hasn't changed at all, I would've thought someone would try to make something positive out of this location." he says to himself.
"Unfortunately that's just not how the world works any more, but revenge will always be a great factor."
an familiar voice says.
Destin spins around and looks up. On top of a junk pile is a person in a dark cloak on a duel runner. The person has a purple mark of a crane, and is all to familiar.
"Adam? You became a Dark Signer? Seems like a waste on their part."
"WHAT?! You little punk you got lucky last time, but this time my 'Heros' have a little help" Adam says.
"You have a duel runner too? How about we test this power, but I say we start with 4 speed counters."
This surprises Adam. "A condition? Considering how Speed Counters work I accept." Adam raises his mark in the air, a symbol of a crane appears in the sky. On the ground below a purple flame barrier appears that forms the symbol of the crane.
"The mark shall be our duel course, now get on your runner." Adam hops on his runner and begins riding into the course.
Destin rushed back towards his runner. He hops on and quickly catches up to Adam. They both switch to duel mode.
The computer speaks. "Speed World 2 activated. Duel Mode engaged, auto pilot standing by."
Destin's life points - 8000
Adam's life points - 8000
Destin rushes ahead of Adam. "I'll go first."
Destin's speed counters - 4
Adams speed counters - 4
Destin's hand count - 5
Adam's hand count - 5
"I'll set a monster, then I'll set a card, that ends my turn."
Adam drives foward. "Starting slow like last time. My turn now, I draw!"

"I guess I should start really strong considering what's in your deck. Since you control a monster I'll begin showing you what my deck was given, I'll special summon an Oracle of the Sun. Next I'll play a speed spell, Ancient Rules! By removing two speed counters, I can special summon a level 5 or higher monster, so I think I'll summon another Oracle of the Sun!"
Destin seems confused. "Two Oracles? What are you planning?"
"I'll show you! Next I summon Flare Resonator. Now I'll tune this level 3 with one of my level 5 Oracle of the Sun! From great cosmic might reveals corruption in light, come forth Stardust Spark Dragon!"
Stardust Dragon appears on the field, but it seems brighter than the original.
Stardust's attack - 2500+300=2800 (Effect of Flare Resonator)
"So this is what Jeremy meant, you bastards copied the guardian dragons." Destin says.
Adam smirks. "Oh yes, I found this to be fun, but what else is fun is special summoning a Creation Resonator for controlling a level 8 synchro monster. Now I'll tune this level 3 with my other Oracle! May the corruption of darkness drag you to the void, come forth Blood Mefist!"
The fiend with the skull staff appears on the field.
Destin's eyes widen. "Whoa now, these two on your first turn?! What is this madness?"
Adam laughs. "The same madness that will destroy your monster! Go Stardust! Attack that face down!"
Stardust Spark attacks the face down with is revealed to be Shield Wing.
"This again? Oh well, I guess I end my turn."
"My turn then, I draw!"
Destin's speed counters - 6

At this moment Blood Mefist raises his staff, preparing to activate his ability.
"Not quite, that monster isn't doing anything yet! I play my trap, Breakthrough Skill! This negates all of it's abilities until this turns end phase."
Adam frowns. "So you already knew about this."
"Of course I did, now I summon Junk Synchron! Since I control a Junk monster I can special summon Junk Servant from my hand! Now these two will tune for a level seven, come forth Junk Berserker!"
Junk Berserker's attack - 2700
"Now Junk Berserker will attack Stardust! Go now!"
Berserker raises his axe to the dragon and strikes it's neck, but the dragon is unharmed.
Adam's life points - 8000-200=7800
"So close, but once per turn Stardust Spark can't be destroyed by battle or by card effects" Adam says.
"Great, I guess I set a face down and end my turn."
"My turn now, I draw!"
Destin's speed counters - 7
Adam's speed counters - 5
Destin's hand count - 1
Adam's hand count - 2
"I summon Elemental HERO Bubbleman! Now I play Speed Spell Mask Change! As long as I have five speed counters I can play this card, so now Bubbleman shall become Masked HERO Acid!"
A masked warrior with what appears to be a water gun appears on the field.
Acid's attack - 2600
"When this HERO is summoned, all your spells and traps are destroyed, and your monsters lose 300 attack.
Now Blood Mefist, destroy that Junk Berserker!"
Blood Mefist fires a beam towards Berserker, destroying it on impact.
"Augh!" Destin swerves.
Destin's life points 8000-400=7600
"With that I end my turn."
Destin regains his balance. "My turn, I draw!"
Destin's speed counters - 8
Adam's speed counters - 6
Destin's hand count - 2
Adam's hand count - 0
Blood Mefist raises his staff and drains energy from Destin.
"Augh, I still have Shield Wing on the field!"
Destin's life points - 7600-300=7300
"I set a monster, and I'll set a card, my turn is done"
"My turn then, I draw!"

Destin's hand count - 0
Adam's hand count - 1
"Acid, take aim and fire at that face down monster!"
Acid fires a blast towards the monster, but the monster was another Shield Wing.
"Another one? You are annoying kid, I end my turn."
"My turn, I draw!"

Blood Mefist fires another beam towards Destin.
"Ugh the pain feels worse, is it because I have 3 cards in play?"
Destin's life points - 7300-900=6400
"I play the speed spell Pot of Greed! This lets me draw 2 cards for the cost of 2 speed counters! I play a trap known as Fiendish Chain! I attach it to your Stardust and since I did, it cannot activate that ability!"
"Frustrating." Adam says.
"Now I summon Road Synchron! If this guy tunes for anything other than Road Warrior, his level drops to 2! So now I'll tune for a level 6! Now the thief of warriors shall be born! come forth Goyo Guardian!"
Goyo's attack - 2800
"Now I play De-Synchro on Blood Mefist! This will separate it into Oracle and that Resonator."
Adam looks back. "Not bad, you seem to have learned some new tricks."
"Now Goyo! Destroy that Oracle and bring it to our field!"
Goyo wraps his rope around Oracle and drags it to Destin's field.
"I end my turn."
"You are still as annoying as ever, my turn, I draw!"

"You have force my hand, I have no choice, I release Creation Resonator and Acid to summon the power of darkness!"
Destin spots something in the corner of his eyes, there were people in the fire!
"I summon my Earthbound Immortal Huacachina Kon!"
What appears to be a heart appears in the sky, and the people in the fire were getting sucked in! The heart began beating, then it descended to the earth. Moments later, the ground shakes, and a giant white crane emerged from the ground.
Destin's eyes widen. "This is an Earthbound Immortal?! It's huge!"
KEY CARD (Now I found this thing on Devian Art, I do not take credit for it any way, it just looked awesome)
Earthbound Immortal Huacachina Kon, Level 10, DARK, Winged Beast
Attack - 2800 Defense - 2100
"Did you know that the Earthbound Immortals can attack you directly? GO! CAUSE HIS REAL PAIN!"
Huachina extends it's neck and lunges to peck Destin. The attack hits, and Destin goes flying through the air trying to hang on to his duel runner.
"AUGH!" he screams.
Destin's life points - 6400-2800=3600
Destin manages to land, though his balance is off now.
Adam smirks. "Was that enough pain for you? No? Fine then! I set a card face down and end my turn."
"My turn... ugh... I draw!"
Destin's speed counters - 10
Adam's speed counters - 10
Destin's hand count - 1
Adam's hand count - 0
Destin's vision begins fading, he tries to keep himself awake, but notices he's not on the battlefield anymore. He looks around and finds himself to be in a realm of darkness.
"Where am I?" he asks himself.
"Your destiny kid, that's where." a voice says.
"What do you mean?" Destin asks.
"It is finally time for you to awaken as the Defender of Darkness, just look at your hand." the voice says.
Destin looks at his hand, and he notices a blank white card.
Destin looks up in confusion. "This card is blank."
"Let me give you some advice, summon that DARK tuner you just drew, the card will reveal itself."
Suddenly Destin's vision is surrounded by darkness and he is transported back to the battlefield.
Adam looks at him. "What was that just now? What did you do?"
Destin looks up. "I have no idea"
Adam looks frustrated. "Just continue your turn!"
"Fine then, I summon the Junk Synchron tuner monster!"
Destin's arm begins to glow blue, and what seems to be a dragon appears on his arm. The dragon mark seems to have a serpent like body, and the wings are replaced with two extended heads coming from both sides.
Adam's eyes widen. "You have a mark?! Wait, you are a Defender aren't you! The Master was speaking of this,
so this is how Jeremy won his duel! He has this power as well! What do you think you're doing?!"
"I'm tuning the level 3 Junk Synchron with the level 5 Oracle of the Sun! Let the shadows of darkness surround you as they form something pure!"
The white card appears in Destins hand, but this time a picture of a dragon appears on the card.
"Come forth Beelze of the Diabolic Dragons!"
Darkness forms about the field, and slowly a serpent like body appears. A head appears on top, blade like shoulders grow next to the head, and two arms come from these blade like shoulders. Then the dragon leans forward, and two more long dragon heads appear from the back.
KEY CARD
Beelze of the Diabolic Dragons, Dragon, DARK. Attack - 3000 Defenses - 3000
Adam grits his teeth. "I have no idea what that thing does, but I know what Goyo does, so I'll activate Compulsory Evacuation Device on Goyo!"
Goyo is launched up in the appear and returns to Destin's deck.
Destin looks at the Immortal. "It only has 2800 attack points, Beelze! Attack it now!"
The dragon doesn't move, it's almost like it can't.
Adam begins laughing hysterically. "Oh! I guess I forgot to mention that due to the abilities of the Immortals, you can't target them for attack!"
Destin has a desperate look on his face. "Then I guess I'll destroy Stardust Spark Dragon!"
Beelze wraps his two heads around Stardust and crushes it to the point where it is nothing.
Adam's life points - 7800-500=7300
"I end my turn."
Adam laughs once more. "My turn, I draw!"
Destin's speed counters - 11

Adam's hand count - 1
Adam looks at Beelze. "I activate the effect of Speed World 2! By revealing this Mask Change speed spell I can remove 10 speed counters to destroy Beelze! Go Speed World 2! Strike down that dragon!"
A bolt of lighting launches out of Adam's duel runner and strikes Beelze, but Beelze is unharmed.
Adam's eyes widen. "What?!"
"Beelze cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects, this dragon will be fun." Destin says.
Adam grits his teeth. "That doesn't stop me from attacking you directly! Go Huacachina Kon! Attack him directly!"
The Crane pecks Destin again, but this time Beelze shields him from the shock wave.
"Ugh." Destin still felt severe pain.
Destin's life points - 3600-2800=800
Beelze's Attack - 3000+2800=5800
Adam looks at Beelze with a shocked face. "What happened there?! Why did its attack points shoot up by 2800?!"
Destin seems shocked too. "Well well, it seems if I take damage in any way, Beelze will gain it in attack points."
"What?! Now that's just not fair! I set a card and end my turn."
Destin looks at Adam. "You know what's not fair? Being dragged into this war, watching my friends suffer."
Destn's deck begins to glow. "Look at what you did to all those people, YOU TURNED THEM INTO A CREATURE OF CORRUPTED DARKNESS! IT'S MY TURN! I DRAW!"

"MAXIMUM SPEED ACHIEVED! All systems are ready!" Destin begins speeding up. "Overdrive go! I remove 10 speed counters to destroy your face down! Now I remove the last 2 to activate this speed spell, Megamorph!"
Beelze's Attack - 5800x2=11600
Adam begins speeding up towards Destin. "NO! NOT AGAIN! YOU WON'T WIN THIS TIME!"
"I activate Breakthrough Skill from my graveyard! By removing it from play, I can negate the abilities of your Immortal!"
"STOP!"
"Beelze! Attack that Immortal and end this duel!"
Beelze flies towards the Immortal and pierces right through its chest. The crane begins to collapse and retreat in the ground.
"AUGH!" Adam screams.
Speed World 2
Destin - Winner
Adam - XXXXXX
Adam doesn't go down yet. He finally catches up towards Destin and slams into his duel runner, causing him to crash.
"HAHAHAHAHA! THE FINAL PAIN IS CAUSED BY ME!"
Adam begins turning grey and blowing away like dust.
Destin lays on the ground, trying to get up, but it's no use, though he won the duel, his body took a little too much damage from this battle. The last thing his remembers is seeing Beelze slowly retreat back into his card before passing out.
Whoa now, I was not expecting the duel to end up like that, I just began typing whatever came to mind! Also I cannot remember the one who created that Earthbound Immortal but check it out on Devian Art, it actually looks pretty cool. Well I guess I'll see you guys in the next chapter!
