Merry Christmas Folks!
Chapter 7; Christmas Part 1.
Some time had past since the incident. Susie was doing much better, her SOUL shining brightly with the power of DETERMINATION. Kris's own SOUL had fully restored itself too. After what had happened to the Flower Shop, Toriel had permitted Asgore to move back in, as they were slowly getting back on better terms. As of now, they were hugging each other again.
Lancer and Ralsei had also been invited to move in. It took some time, but soon, they were all in Kris's room, a large bunk-bed having been put in place. Lancer would visit his Kingdom on the weekends, which was doing well since he had released the other Kings who were locked up by his dad.
Ralsei had also revealed his face to Asgore and Toriel. They thought it was Asriel pulling a prank on them for a moment but that was soon proven false when they got a call from him. Asriel was due to come back from university tomorrow, Christmas Eve. He'd be with the family until early January.
"Wowzers, this is delicious!" Lancer had just chugged an entire glass of steaming Hot Cocoa, smiling at Toriel.
"How did that NOT burn your throat?" Susie asked the boy, who just shrugged. Since she had been adopted, her style hadn't changed much. She still wore the same jacket, but her clothes weren't torn anymore. "I can barely sip my own right now!"
"Thanks mom" Kris said with a smile, sipping his as a storm outside battered the town, covering everything it could in the white stuff. The storm some-what worried Toriel, as Asgore was at the rebuilt Flower Shop. It was now one floor instead of two, and had gained more business.
"Children, would you all mind going to the Flower Shop and helping your father?" she asked them. Toriel figured she would send them so she could have some time to wrap the remaining gifts, and begin preparing dinner as well.
"Sure" Ralsei said, grabbing his hat. He left it off most the time, but the storm outside called for it. Everyone bundled up for the cold and waved Toriel goodbye as they stepped out into the storm.
"It's colder than I thought!" Lancer shivered, his tongue going back into his mouth as they trudged through the deep snow. Kris lead the way as they got to the first four-way, the storm seemingly worsening.
I hate snow..." Susie muttered as they got closer to the shop. There were some bright lights ahead in the middle of the road. It turned out to be some Prisoners doing Community Service by fixing the road. The group didn't really recognize any of them, except for one.
"Guys, RUN!" Susie's long gone ex-adoptive father recognized them. In a flash, he snapped his shovel in half and began running at them. The Police Officer guiding the group tried to stop him, but failed when the Dragon monster had used one of the snapped-off halves to throw at him, impaling the Police monster's left leg.
"YOU LITTLE SHITS!" the Dragon roared, chasing after them, his mouth bursting out flames.
"We gotta get to dad!" Kris shouted over the howling wind, barely dodging a red fire ball. Lancer wasn't as lucky, and he was hit in the back, causing him to collapse. Susie quickly slung him over her shoulders and they kept running, the young darkner growing tired. Ralsei quickly healed him and Lancer was running with them again.
"WHEN I GET YOU I'LL KILL YOU ALL!" the Dragon roared fiercely, a large fire-ball forming in his mouth. They were so close to the Flower Shop too...
"YOU WON'T DARE TOUCH ANY OF MY CHILDREN!" suddenly, a protective ring of massive fireballs shielded The Fun Gang. Asgore walked up next to them. "So help me..." he suddenly surrounded the Dragon Monster in a ring of fire. "You guys call the cops, I can handle this beast on my own..." Asgore stared down the Dragon, who was growling, his Orange Jumpsuit torn in multiple places.
"NGAH!" there was suddenly no need to call the police. Undyne slashed the Dragon with her spear as she came flying from the thick snowy fog. The Dragon fell and Ralsei quickly casted PACIFY as Asgore let up his fire ring. "How the HELL does he keep escaping?" Undyne muttered.
"Hey Fish Lady, one of your underlings is hurt way back there!" Lancer quickly pointed towards where the prisoners had been working.
"Thanks!" Undyne smiled to them as she cuffed the sleeping monster and dragged him through the snow.
"Mom sent us to help you" Susie looked to Asgore, who smiled kindly as they all walked into the shop, their bodies warming to the SOUL.
