"Oh, ok, hey M.K, I'll meet you afterwards right?" Nod said as he started to turn to the door.
"Yeah Nod, I don't think I will be here long. See you in a little."
"See ya M.K" As Nod walked out the doors, M.K turned to Queen Tara.
"Your Majesty, what is going on? I mean, I know I am supposed to be the next Queen, but what does this have to do with Ronin?"
"Oh M.K, this all started long before you were born and I was Queen, I just wish that things could have turned out differently, sometimes I even wish I wasn't the queen because of everything it has put others through."
"My Queen, what is wrong, what did happen? I know we could never be together because you were Queen-"
"No Ronin, it has nothing to do with that, I might as well start at the beginning though, since M.K doesn't know what has happened."
"Yes Your Majesty."
"So M.K, it all started when both Ronin and I were both in Leafmen training, in the same group. we immediately contrasted each other, but we became such close friends that it didn't matter. We wanted to get married and start a life together once training was over, and we both thought we could. Then, only a month after we had finished training, the new Queen was picked, and I was chosen. In the beginning, I tried to act like it wasn't a problem, that I didn't feel sad about the sudden change. And I grew to love being the Queen, to create new life, bring back the dying. But Ronin was devastated, and it made him train harder, work insanely long periods of time, and try to become a royal guard. Then, when the position of captain became available, he was picked, and him and I were able to see each other on a regular basis. After a few months, we went too far in Ronin's eyes, we consummated a marriage we never had but always wanted, and I guess my wishing for a child I thought I would never get to have made my powers step in and, well I became pregnant."
At this, there were gasps from both Ronin and M.K as they both began to put the pieces together, but in different directions. Ronin believing he had a child he never knew, and M.K thinking that maybe she really wasn't meant to be the future Queen. After a slight pause Queen Tara continued.
"You see Ronin, that is why I was away for those nine months, the reason I asked for only a few guards to accompany me,and all woman. And why that one particular doctor came with me. I know you thought I wasn't happy with you, and why you haven't been as close to me all these years, but it was simply I couldn't be around. After I left, I went to the old palace, the one deep in the heart of the woods. It had always been a possible Safe haven for me in times of need, and I decided it was better than a cottage on the edges of Moonhaven, where you could have found me just by chance. So I went there to wait out my pregnancy so my baby could be born. It was peaceful, to be away from the city for a little, and I was so excited to have a baby of my own, I could wait. I was worried though, so I asked Nim Galoo for any archives on Queens and children. He brought to the Tree, and I looked and was able to find some. It turns out that Queens could marry and have children, that it wasn't against rules or laws, but that one Queen had never married or had children, and it was passed down in tradition since then. I also found that if the child was a boy, he would usually become very influential in the court, and if a girl, she would be the next Queen if worthy. But since that one Queen, it had not happened in centuries. I was so relieved when I found this out,I thought I could raise the child growing within me, that it would be safe. And so I lived in quite peace until the day I went into labor, and only a few short hours later, my little girl was born. She had the cutest face, an adorable tuft of hair and the most brilliant green eyes, even at birth, which was strange. But then, when she was only two days old, the Boggans attacked the old palace and I had to run. I knew I had to keep my baby safe, and that I couldn't do that with the Boggan threat now, so I found a stomper family, just a man and a woman, living on the edge of the woods. I put a piece of paper on her swaddling blanket with her name and a short note, stating why she was there, and then I made er grow, to stomper size to save her. M.K, that baby, that little girl, my angel, is you."
