Author's Note: Alright I know this took a while to update but it was because I have hit a road block and did not know how to go about this part and still have to girls very much like themselves. I am also very shocked with the amount of reviews my last chapter received thank you guys for all the support!
Also I am going to be without internet for a while so now the only times that I will be able to update will be once a week. Thursday or Fridays because that is when I will be at my second job and they have free internet.
I apologize about the delay and on with your story now!
Chapter Seven
A Beacon of Light
"Oh my fucking god! I look like you!" Jessica cried looking at her new haircut the was much like Aragorn's only straight, she turned on the men grinning behind her. Her arm extended to point an accusing finger at them.
"You hair was to long," Aragorn countered.
"I can cut my own hair!" Jessica yelled her hands flying up to her head to hold onto her now destroyed locks.
"You need to fit in with our world or you will be Sauron's main target in the final battle," Legolas added though he did not wish to say the words he knew he would have to eventually.
"You guys are such assholes," Jessica huffed moving to exit the room only to run into Theoden. Glancing up to the King, she glared once more over her shoulder before mumbling an apology and leaving the room.
"What the hell is that?" Kristy questioned looking out her window to where the beacon was being lit by no doubt Pippin or Gandalf, who she wasn't sure but surely it had to be one of them.
"The beacon of Amon Din," the guard whispered as Kristy wrapped her fingers around the iron bars on her window.
"What is that?" Kristy asked.
"In the days of old when Edoras or Gondor were in need of aid the beacons lining the mountain tops were lit so that either could see that their brothers were in danger and come when called. Since the divide between Kings the beacons have never been used, each kingdom fights on their own," the soldier said as Kristy looked over her shoulder to him.
"That kind of sucks. Do you think Edoras will see the fire?" Kristy asked.
"Of course. What kind of silly question is that?" the soldier asked.
"Sorry! I mean I know they are going to come my brother and Boromir are over there," Kristy said her eyes turning back to the outside world, wondering to herself when did calling Jessica brother become so easy.
"Are you well?" the guard asked.
"Yes why?" Kristy asked her eyes turning back to the soldier.
"You skin has paled drastically in the matter of minutes," he answered.
"What is your name?" Kristy asked.
"Adan my lady," the guard answered.
"Sorry it was bugging me. I can't stand talking to someone who has no name, I'm Kristy by the way," Kristy said before his actual answer sunk into her mind.
"What do you mean I'm pale? I've always been pale," Kristy said.
"No, my lady. You have gotten extremely pale," Adan said slowly as if afraid to alarm the girl who quickly turned toward the long floor length mirror to look at her reflection.
"Oh my god!" Kristy screamed at the top of her lungs.
Jessica, Boromir, Aragorn, Legolas and Merry all were sitting out side when they noticed a flicker in the distance.
"What is it with all the shining lights?" Jessica whined as Aragorn quickly jumped to his feet staring at the beacon with a glint of hope in his eyes.
"The beacons of Minas Tirith!" he called before turning away from his friends and dashing badly toward the Great Hall where the King and his generals were collected to talk. Boromir was not to far behind Aragorn though he did every once and a while glance behind him to watch Jessica.
"Why does he have to run? Why do they both have to run? We can all reach the Great Hall in a matter of minutes versus seconds!" Jessica huffed forcing her tired and aching body to rise up and rush after the men, excluding Legolas who waited for her. Jessica watched as Aragorn all but kicked the doors in excitement.
"The beacons of Minas Tirith are lit!" Aragorn yelled drawing all attention toward him.
"My men call for aid," Boromir added.
"Gondor calls for aid!" Aragorn emphasized while approaching the King. There was a long moment's hesitation before all eyes turned to the King who seemed stunned for a while.
"And Rohan will answer!" Theoden replied after a moment's hesitation his eyes roaming over to Jessica who had finally caught up with the over energized King to be.
"Must the Rohirrim," Theoden ordered Eomer, who bowed his acknowledgement before leaving to carry out his duty. Not even a moment later the bells sounding for the Rohirrim to gather. Theoden turned to move his armor clanking loudly as he did so. The noise was so loud it caused Jessica to jump from shock, she was not expecting it, she bumped into Legolas who all but grinned down at her.
"Assemble the army at Dunharrow. As many men that can be found. You have two days," he said as Eomer appeared back at his side, grabbing his nephew by the shoulders Theoden brought him face to face in a serious glance.
"On the third day, we ride for Gondor... and war," he said motioning for Eomer to leave once more. With his men in tow Eomer casted a side ways glance at Jessica almost as if he wanted to challenge her in her manly hood. Shaking her head Jessica knew she was just getting paranoid but no matter the case she did not meet Eomer's eyes for a second time.
"Forward!" he called to his soldiers.
"Very good sir," a soldier called.
"Gamling!" Theoden shouted.
"My lord?" Gamling appeared quickly. Theoden moved over to him.
"Make haste in this task. Ride across the Riddermark, summon ever able-bodied man to Dunharrow," Theoden ordered.
"I shall," Gamling said before leaving the Great Hall, Jessica watching all this happen in what seemed to be a matter of seconds, glancing to see the smug look upon Aragorn's face. Satisfied that he got the reaction that he was looking for he turned and left with Boromir at his side. The two discussing that was to come in the future.
"Jesse," Theoden called seeing Legolas and Jessica turning to leave the hall.
"Yes?" Jessica mumbled turning back to the King that seemed to be so smart but so unaware of many things happening around him.
"I wish to speak with you. Do you have some spare time?" he asked turning his back to the two, Jessica looked over her shoulder to find that Legolas had already vanished from her side. Narrowing her eyes at the empty space that was once occupied she could not help but think of the many evil things to call the elf.
Of course you leave me alone with the King you jackass
"Of course, My King," Jessica said with a small bow being mindful to not hurt her already wounded body she followed after Theoden. As they walked to the closest table which to her gratitude was prepared for food. Her stomach whined for the food it had been deprived of for so long now.
"You must have been wanting to speak with me for a while?" Jessica questioned seeing the carefully prepared food placed elegantly upon the table. Picking up a few vegetables and meat she placed them on her plate before meeting Theoden's eyes.
"It has been plaguing my mind," Theoden said as they sat. He seemed to be thinking over his words before he looked back up to her.
"What has?" Jessica asked fearfully. Deciding not to touch her food just yet, prepared to be caught she could not only think of the million excused but also the now turning feeling taking place in the bottom of her stomach.
"You..." Theoden said causing Jessica's spine to straighten as goosebumps ran up and down her arms from the overbearing look the King easily pinned her with.
"W-what of me?" Jessica asked her eyes moving to the door wondering how quickly she could run before being caught and probably beheaded or worse tortured for lies. What was the capital punishment for lying?
"How is it that you have come from another kingdom... allow yourself to be pulled into a war that does not concern you? Have no gain or loss from this war but gladly follow men around without question," Theoden asked.
"I do have a great loss and gain from the outcome of this war," Jessica countered.
"Oh?" Theoden asked.
"I stand to lose my family if this war if it is not won," Jessica replied suddenly at a loss for her appetite, she pushed her plate away from her.
"I'm sorry I did not think you were bound to this war," Theoden said rising from his spot, Jessica remained seated.
"I am," Jessica replied watching as the King came around the table placing his hand upon her shoulder and looking down at the girl solemnly.
"You are always welcome in my Halls you and your family," Theoden said causing Jessica to release the breath that she was unaware that she was holding.
"Thank you," she replied with a slight nod.
"You may leave after you eat," Theoden said leaving the Great Hall, Jessica following unable to work herself back up to eat. She watched as Legolas rounded the corner and was back at her side, she narrowed her eyes at him dangerously.
"Just leave me there to die," she hissed.
"There was no threat," Legolas said.
"How would you know?" she questioned as she glanced over to see Aragorn and Boromir preparing their horses, talking with Eowyn.
"Because I would not have allowed anything to happen to you," Legolas said as her eyes moved back to the elf in annoyance deciding to change their course back to their companions there was only so much she could take of the elf who seemed very confident in himself.
"Ah, Jesse," Boromir greeted turning with a huge smile on his face.
"What?" Jessica asked.
"Nothing. Come speak with me," Boromir said wrapping his arm around her shoulder and pulling the girl away, glancing over his shoulder to Aragorn.
"What's going on?" Jessica asked.
Author's Note: I'm sorry this was short but the scene it's self was short so there wasn't much that I could do with it buuuuuttttt hopefully this will keep you guys with me until I can figure out what to do with the next few scenes lol.
Reviewers:
LittleMsStrawberry: I think you are always like the first or second to review lol. I'm glad you like my version of Denethor!
Zeldanerd: I try to keep up with all three girls but I'm going by the script and sometimes there are a few scenes where there is only Frodo which is why Indi has a bigger role and then sometimes there is no Indi because Frodo's scenes are not to close. Alright one vote for Indi. As for my writing I plan on simply doing a lot more stories with the girls just to give humor to everyone.
Dorksrule: Eowyn doesn't know any better so you have to keep that in mind as well. Haha. I'm glad you are able to think of my story when you watch the movies that means a lot to me!
Metoochocolate: Don't worry my own sister just told me she hates it and skips it all the time but there are a few people who actually like Indi so therefore Indi's parts must be there! I personally don't enjoy writing about Indi but I wanted to be different than other author's. Well they didn't chop it off but I think it's quite funny as to my idea I hope you like it as well!
Anja66: That's why had Aragorn do the hair because even in the movies and books Aragorn is so mature and grown up I figured I might as well have a little fun with him while I can since the story seems to rapidly be drawing to a close as sad as I am to say that.
Hey it's Artemis: Aragorn did what Aragorn does best! the unexpected haha. I hope you enjoyed this short chapter sorry but I'll try to make the next one long!
PatonxJulia: I'm glad it's a funny image because it was hilarious in mine and I could not stop laughing while typing that scene out. I hope you like this update though!
Eva Sirico: Welcome to my stories I'm glad to see your review!
Blueberry: I missed your reviews! I can't tell you the ending but I think you will enjoy it!
Erokh: About time that you placed a review god! I'm glad you love the face plant! And not to worry about reviewer told me she has the same problem you do with the Indi parts how freaking hilarious is that?
