IMPORTANT EDIT AT BOTTOM! (08/17/15)
So guess what humans? I LIIIIIIVE! Kinda. Unfortunately I cannot guarantee regular updates. I am currently computerless, and I apologize for my absence on this site. I really hate that I've been leaving you guys hanging, I never wanted to be one of those authors that doesn't post for months. But, here I am -_- sorry. Anyway, I stole my friend's computer tonight, so that I could bring you lovely people this chapter. And hopefully I can continue to do so, but I can make no promises. Moving on, I will save reviews until the end of the chapter.
Disclaimer - Danny Phantom does not belong to me. However, Luna, Luke, and Luna's parents do. Any other OCs belong to people credited earlier, and I do not claim them. They are not mine. Oh, and the bad guys are mine ^_^
Now, without further ado, enjoy the chapter!
Danny
A few hours later we still weren't in very familiar territory. I think we were getting close to Clockwork's, but I wasn't entirely sure. We had just stopped for a break when I saw something fall roughly onto the ground. Two black, white, and green blurs. There was a flash of bright light, and the colors dulled, changing. Luna and I glanced at each other.
Is that...? Without a response we both rushed forward, disregarding the others for a moment. Lying on the ground, nearly unconscious, were two very familiar forms. A young girl with black hair, red shorts, a blue hoodie, and a red beanie was laying near a boy with brown hair, a gray t-shirt, and baggy camo pants. Dani and Luke. Dani was already unconscious, but Luke wasn't just yet. He looked up at us with unfocused eyes as we knelt beside him.
"Luke...?" Whispered Luna, concern evident in her voice. He coughed, trying to answer.
"M-mom..." His voice was low. Then he closed his eyes, unconscious. Luna gently picked him up, and I got Dani. At this point we were reminded we weren't alone, as we turned and saw the entire class (with the exception of Sam and Tucker) giving us confused looks. Our parents were a bit surprised too. Of course, that thought didn't last long. We were more worried about our kids.
"We need to find help!" Shouted Luna. Sam and Tucker shared a look before coming up to us.
"Is there anywhere nearby?" Asked Sam.
"I don't know," I replied, trying to remember. We weren't exactly sure where we were, it wasn't a common area. But before I could say anything else, Tucker interrupted.
"Well, there's someone's lair. It's worth a shot." We looked to see where he was pointing. There floated a two story wooden house, with a flat roof. While there were a few holes littering the walls, you couldn't see inside through them. We walked up to it, ignoring the protests of our parents and the confusion of our classmates. The door opened at our knocking, and a completely gray ghost, with only a tail below the waist, opened the eyes widened as he stared at us, and the group behind us.
"What..." He glanced down at the children in our arms. "Come in, quickly," he said, stepping back and holding the door open. We did, and the others tried to follow, but he stopped them. "Please, wait out here." I nodded to Sam and Tucker, and they glanced at us before turning back to the class and our parents. He closed the door and walked over to us. Wary, we watched him.
"I will not hurt you, or them. I can help." Luna and I looked at each other.
Should we trust him? Thought Luna.
For now, it's our best option. But we'll be careful. We looked back to him.
"We don't know what happened," I said. He looked at the two kids, then back at us.
"I will do my best. Lay them down over there." He gestured to the couch and floated off, assume to get medical supplies. Luna and I sat down carefully, holding the two gently. Now that we were away from the prying eyes of our parents and classmates, we could show how worried we truly were. These were our kids. Luna looked at me.
"They'll be okay, right?" I gave her a reassuring look.
"Of course they will. They're like us, strong. They'll be fine." We both were trying to reassure ourselves. We didn't know the full extent of what's wrong, though we could see several cuts and bruises, slightly healed already. Dani had a large gash down her leg, dried blood and ectoplasm around the edges. Other than that though, she had a few smaller cuts. Luke definitely looked worse, a black eye and bloody lip being the least of his injuries. From his shoulder to his elbow stretched a long, but not too deep, jagged cut. Less severe cuts littered his body, and while their human form clothes were just dirty, his ghost form outfit had probably been in tatters.
The ghost came back, carrying bandages and stuff to help clean the wounds. He came closer and handed me some bandages.
"Wrap this around her wound, but not too tightly." I nodded and did so as he moved to Luke. Without another word he began to clean the wounds, not even raising an eyebrow at the red and green liquid still oozing from some of them. Luna helped some, when she could. Soon he was done with Luke and turned to Dani. He unwrapped what I had bandaged, the ectoplasm and blood having lightly stained the cloth. He quickly cleaned the gash and re-wrapped it, as well as the other, smaller wounds.
"Thank you," said Luna, when he was done. I nodded in agreement and looked up at him.
"Yes, thank you. What's your name?"
"You are welcome, and you may call me F.C." I gave a relieved smile.
"Well, thank you so much. I'm Danny, and this is my girlfriend, Luna." He nodded.
"Perhaps you should tell me what happened?" I shared a glance with Luna, and she nodded. I looked back to F.C.
"Well..."
3rd Person
Meanwhile, back with the class, everyone was confused.
Mr. and Mrs. Spearum were becoming suspicious. Their daughter was too comfortable here, in the Ghost Zone. While they knew all ghosts were not evil, the Ghost Zone was still dangerous. At least it seemed she had Danny, Sam, and Tucker with her, but it was still slightly unsettling. And based on other things they knew, about both her and Danny... They didn't want to think about it. But the possibility was there. They needed to know.
And then there was those two kids. Mr. And Mrs. Spearum hadn't gotten a good look at them, but what they had seen looked a lot like Danny and Luna. All they knew was that when Luna got back, she and the others would have a lot to explain.
Maddie and Jack Fenton also wanted an explanation. Even they had never been in the Ghost Zone before today, so why had their son and his friends? Not to mention they actually held a conversation with two ghosts! Now they had taken these injured kids into some strange ghost's house, and they hadn't come out yet. Those kids that obviously shouldn't have been in the Ghost Zone either. It was a dangerous place, and that was obvious.
The rest of the class had various expressions of confusion and awe. Danny, Luna, Sam, and Tucker had immediately taken charge, determined to get them out of this. Saving those kids and immediately finding them help was out of character for these quiet, outcast teens. Of course, the two most entertaining expressions were those of a certain blonde haired boy and teacher.
Dash Baxter and Mr. Lancer were the only ones to have heard the whispered word from the young boy's mouth. They had been close enough to hear, and to see them slightly better. They had seen the nearly identical features, the care with which Danny and Luna picked them up. Something was off, and both Dash and Lancer knew it. Dash was surprised at the amount of confidence he had been seeing from his favorite punching bag. After having beaten him day after day for years, Dash never would've guessed what Danny could do. Yet here he was, leading them out and keeping his cool, even in this mess they've gotten into.
Mr. Lancer was slowly trying to fit the pieces together. He had most of them, he knew it. But he just couldn't see the big picture. It was like trying to put a puzzle together with half the pieces missing. He knew the facts. These four have always been an odd bunch. Even before Luna re-joined them, he knew something was off about the trio. With Danny always disappearing and the other two covering for him. His convenient disappearance during any ghost attack.
When Luna arrived, so did a new hero. And Danny's disappearances slowly decreased. Though, Luna started to leave as well. If one was there during a ghost attack, the other always happened to be gone. And when both ghostly heroes were needed, seen outside fighting, neither Danny or Luna were anywhere to be found.
But there was one main thing stopping his train of thought. Luna and Danny were alive, while Spirit and Phantom were most certainly dead. It was as if he was missing the last few pieces, and he just couldn't figure out how it all fit together.
Dani
"Please, please just leave us alone!" I cried, as they grinned down at us. Luke and I were on the ground, not that we could get up if we wanted to. A gang of bad ghosts had caught us, as we were trying to find Mom and Dad to warn them. They'd thrown us to the ground and were standing above us, one with his foot on Luke's chest. The other, who we thought was the leader, leaned down and smacked me.
"Shut up girl. We can do whatever the hell we want." Luke glared at him.
"Don't touch her!" The foot was pressed harder into his chest, and he groaned. The leader watched him for a moment before looking back at me.
"Protective, isn't he? Hm... Let's just see how much he can stand." My eyes widened, and the ghost grabbed my neck and held me up.
"Dani!" I heard Luke struggle, but I didn't dare try to turn my head. I was forced to stare straight into the ghost's eyes.
"Dani, Dani, Dani... Poor Dani, you don't realize what you've gotten yourself into, do you? Now, where have I heard that name before... Oh yes, Danny Phantom!" There was hatred in his eyes at Danny's name. "You do bare a certain resemblance to him... I wonder just how much he'd hate me if I hurt his little girl?" My eyes widened, terrified.
"You... You wouldn't..." He smirked, holding up a knife.
"Oh I would." Luke struggled to get free as the knife came closer.
"Dani, NO!"
I slowly came to, realizing I wasn't there anymore. Luke had gotten us out of there. I vaguely remember the green of the Ghost Zone, and floating, before everything went black. Suddenly I realized there were voices around me, and I listened in.
"So you do not know exactly what caused their injuries?" I didn't recognize that voice, but the next one was easy. It was Luna.
"No, but chances are they'll be able to tell us. Unfortunately, that spells bad news for our group.
"Right, your group... That would be the humans outside, correct?"
"Yeah. Our class, we were on a field trip," came Danny's voice from the side.
"What imbecile would think it was a good idea to come here for a field trip?!" He and Luna sighed.
"Our parents. " I shifted slightly, and everyone fell silent. Then Danny spoke, closer than he was before.
"Dani? Are you awake?" I slowly opened my eyes, to see Danny's concerned face staring back at me. As I did his own eyes widened, and he gently gave me a hug. "I was so worried." I managed to hug him back, after realizing that everything was sore, and my leg felt nearly on fire.
"Wh..." I broke off coughing, and he let me go. "Where's... Luke...?" He gestured to the other end of the couch, where Luke was. He was still unconscious. Luna must've seen my look.
"He's alright Dani. Just a little worn out. He woke up a little while ago, asking how you were, then fell back asleep." Oh. I nodded, then noticed a third figure, who must've been the other voice. He looked funny, I had never seen a ghost like that. The strange ghost looked at me and smiled slightly.
"Hello there Danielle. I'm F.C, and I helped you get better." I nodded at him.
"Thank you." It was quiet for a moment, and Luna looked over at me.
"Dani, can you tell us what attacked you?" I hesitated. This is what Luke and I need to tell them, but that's what they wanted. But if we didn't tell them, they'd be in danger... I sighed, and nodded. As I spoke, Luke sat straight up, eyes wide, and spoke in unison with me.
"Someone wants revenge on you. And they're a big threat."
So, what did you guys think? If you all haven't abandoned this story, that is... Please let me know in reviews. I love hearing from you guys. Okay, on to reviews.
DannyPhantom619 - Close enough :P And thanks, glad you like it!
WolfieRed23 - Perfectly fine, I took forever to update. Sounds like it! Why thank you, I hoped you would think so. Thank you for your offer, I'll let you know if there's anything. ^_^
kirahphantom - Correct! Ah, Dan. No, that's not him, but great guess! Personally though, I don't see Dan as easily working with someone else. Plus, I'd most likely have him target those close to Danny.
muney73 - I know right? Seriously, why can't bad guys just have actual reasons for their plans? Maybe they plan to live on the moon or something. Yikes, that sucks. Course, now it's been forever since you posted this review, but... eh. And yeah, third cousin... something removed. *too lazy to check right now* ^_^ I'm so glad you're excited! I always look forward to your reviews, seriously. You rock. Sorry I kept you waiting so long though.
Shadowed Sword - Good job and yes, yes he is. Okay, don't think I'm a terrible person for this but it's been so long that I think I forgot your idea. Can you PM me and remind me? Thanks!
random reader - Greetings random reader and welcome to this story. I am really glad you like it so much! Sorry I haven't been updating, read issues stated above. Here's the update though!
Alright, I'll stop bugging you guys.
Peace,
Don't Speak Of The Attic
EDIT (08/17/15) - So I've realized that in the coming chapters both Danny and the villains will need some more allies. So, I'm asking you guys for OCs! Now keep in mind they won't get as much attention as other characters because that would just be too many characters to focus on. But they will be mentioned and some may get a scene or two. Also, I need more villains than good guys, so the more evil ghosts the better! If you have an OC for me, just PM me about it ^_^ Alright, that's it, bye guys!
