Her voice yelling his name brought out the last of his strength. His eyes opened with a deep burning red color, it wasn't a normal red. No this was different much like the dancing flames in a fire, that's what it looked like. His body burned with anger hearing his mate calling him, there was nothing more at that moment nothing, but the pure madness of killing the the one who dared make his mate come to this point that she was screaming his name. His claws tearing through the ground where he laid as he made a fist in the dirt and rose to his hands and knees. The deep growl coming from deep inside his chest caused the birds around him to fly off in mad hurry. And his voice was that of a pure demon ready to attack. "You bastard, when I get a hold of you, the sound of your voice crying for help won't save you from my hell!"

Now leaving the forest surroundings Kagome feared, but it wasn't her life it was his. "Please Hojo, you don't understand he'll die if I don't help him." Still the said man just kept pulling her further away from the forest. "If I tell you what happened will you let me go?" It was her last line of defense and maybe the only way to get free from Hojo. Sadly her words did nothing he was still ignoring her and only tightened his grip on her arm. As he pulled her along Kagome looked back towards the forest, it was strange this new feeling inside her. 'InuYasha I'm sorry for ever coming here to this forest, if I never came here you'd still being a life of hap...' Her thoughts stopped. InuYasha's life wasn't happy, he didn't even know love or happiness. 'What am I thinking? He does know love and he now knows happiness. All of this can still be possible I just need to return to him, before it all ends.' Looking back at Hojo who was still roughly pulling her along, Kagome shouted out how she felt and what all happened between her and InuYasha. "The only monster here is you Hojo! InuYasha might be a demon, but to him his mate is first priority!"

Hearing her say this brought out a side of Hojo she'd never seen before. He stopped where he was and after a few seconds slapped her across the face. With still no way to get free Kagome simply covered her face as tears began to fall. "There are you happy now Kagome? I just turned into a monster, no wait I'm not a monster you are! I can't believe you didn't tell me about this what did you think you could hide this dirty secret from me and I'd never know? No wonder you wanted to have sex before we got married. I bet you came to this forest just to get laid by that beast. What were you coming here instead of your classes Kagome?" He yanked her arm, pulling her face close to his. "And here I thought when Miroku told me about this place and the monster who lived here was a child's story. I laughed at him, now I know me coming here was a good thing. I kept telling myself this is stupid, but now I'm glad I followed my instincts."

The more he talked the more angry she got to the point she did something she never thought she'd do or say. Ball her hand into a fist she punched him hard in the face. "I HATE YOU!" She yelled causing a few people in the area to look. She hadn't noticed they were now on the sidewalk outside of the forest. Once she saw where they were she tried again to get free from his hold. Still not one person helped and continued on their way. Feeling defeated she simply gave up until...

There was a loud growl and the sound of something breaking. InuYasha had surpassed the spell and as he broke through the barrier from the beads around his neck, they shattered into pieces as he left the forest boundary. He wasn't stopping for anything not until his mate was safely in his arms. Kagome wasn't sure if even her life was safe at this point. The look of pure hate and ready to kill covered InuYasha's face. Hojo had just turned when he felt a warm liquid go down his back, before pain traveled through his spine. He called out in agony and released Kagome before falling to the ground.

Kagome covered her face not wanting to see what was going to happen next. Through her covered face she begged InuYasha not to kill Hojo, but she feared the demon wouldn't listen. "Please InuYasha, he won't bother us anymore. Let him live and let's just leave this place." Tears were falling like rain down her face and suddenly she found herself being lifted up. Looking around she found herself in his arms. "InuYasha, you...you look terrible. Please tell me what do I need to do, you can't die because of me."

Just making back to the forest the demon collapsed to the green grass below. His breathing now slowed and sweat covered his face. Looking up at her face it would sometimes look blurry to him and he knew his time was short. He felt her take his hand and once again beg him to tell her how to save his life. The only words he said was. "Your blood, must taste blood." It was then his eyes closed and he became still. And it was also at that moment Kagome decided her life belonged to him, she would give him a taste of her blood and become his mate.

Taking one of his clawed fingers, she sliced open her index finger allowing the blood to seep out of the cut. With a hard swallow she lowered her bleeding finger to his lips, all her hopes in saving InuYasha were starting to fade. His breathing had stopped and even now his lips felt cold to her touch. He had given his all to come to her and now she felt she needed to repay him. "Even if it means I'm bond to you forever I'll do this, though I'm terrified at the same time. Will you kill me after we mate, will you be my true love or just a slave to you for sex?" She wasn't sure if he heard her or not, but she needed to get those words out. Even though it didn't matter he would either die now and she would die later, or he'd live and take what he wanted and she'd suffer to his demands as a mate. It was all to much for her and soon tears of fear and sadness were rolling down her cheeks.
