If the saying that love is blind was true then Ororo believed it must also be deaf. It seemed as if she was hearing Kent for the very first time. All his lewdness, his self absorbed comments and intentional putdowns came at her with the suddeness of a summer downpour. The worst was that although her contempt towards him had grown over the past week beneath that layer of hatred still existed a wounded love.

Kent no longer looked at her the same way. She couldn't fully explain it but something had changed in his eyes since their "Arrangement".Now that he knew he had her regardless of himself he no longer viewed her with the longing of a lover but with the same air of entitlement one would a possesion.

Along with the revealing of his true nature when it came to power also came his hatred for anything mutant. He spoke of her kind as if they were a burden. Dangerous leeches that were draining the world and all the "good people" within it. Every time he spoke of them Ororo felt her stomach sink just a little bit lower than it had before and along with this her

She attempted to combat his ignorance but her words always seemed to get caught in her throat.

They were weak and crumbled beneath his own wrapped in guilt and self loathing. Every time she spoke her mind would go back to the words Victor spoke in the dark. She was a liar. How could she stand up for a people she wasn't willing to admit she was a part of?

kents affairs continued no longer hidden although Ororo did little to stop him. A part of her wanted to be punished. Hurt herself for betraying everything she once believed she stood for all because she was too much of a coward to admit who and what she was. The only light in her dim lit world was that in a little over one years time she would be off studying a city far away from new york and far away from Kent.
