"As are we". Eric responded.
"I have a feeling that this is an adult conversation and since I have been told several times that I am not one, I will be outside training". Lex announced before he quickly retreated from the kitchen.
"Even though I am an adult, I do not wish to stay and so I will join Lex to assist with his training". Pam quickly added before leaving the kitchen also.
"I will take the quick abandonment by your children as a sign that my great granddaughter is not safe and sound". Niall prodded.
"I regret that I have failed in Sookie's protection". Eric struggled to confess.
"I know that was hard for you to admit. What transpired"?
"Pamela and I were attempting to educate Lex on the importance of his mother's protection details". Eric began "During Sookie's staged attack an actual attack took place. Victor Madden stole her away from our home".
"Do you know what his plans are for her"? Niall asked concerned.
"I do not but I believe that he has taken her for the ability to bare vampire offspring".
"You are telling me that Victor Madden took my great granddaughter with plans to auction off her whom to the highest bidder"? Niall asked shaking with anger.
"I believe so". Eric answered looking away from him.
"What are your plans"?
"The authority has provided me with an army. Pamela and my sheriffs have trained them. The Shreveport pack master has agreed to bring his pack tonight so that we might gauge their abilities. As soon as I am confident that we are prepared for war, we will leave for Nevada". Eric laid out his plan for Niall.
"Are you prepared for the consequences of Sookie's abduction"? Niall asked carefully.
"Yes, I am fully prepared to add Nevada to my kingdom". He answered confidently.
"Those are not the consequences that I speak of; I am speaking of the emotional and physical damage that will have been done to Sookie. As well as the possibility that she could be pregnant with another vampire's offspring. That child will be half hers and I assure you that she will not set the child aside for you". Nail corrected.
"Fortunately, she is pregnant with our daughter thus I am sure that she will not be damaged in any way. Also I know that she is under the care of Dr. Ludwig during all of this".
"I will have a great great granddaughter soon"? Niall asked with a mixture of relief and joy.
"Yes, I hope to retrieve Sookie before she delivers".
"I regret that I do not have the numbers to give you assistance".
"There is no need for regret, old friend. I will bring my queen and princess home where they belong, this I vow". Eric declared.
Niall nodded his approval before he vanished.
"Good evening, Mrs. Northman". Victor greeted as he entered the room.
"As long as I am still here, it sure as hell is not a good evening". Sookie countered.
"My, my, such language" He chided.
"I don't think I need a lesson in manners from the likes of you".
"Fair enough" Victor conceded.
"Why are you here"? Sookie demanded.
"I have come to escort you to the royal salon".
"Why"? Sookie asked beyond confused.
"I have a potential client to show you and I can't have you looking like you've been trapped in a room for a week".
"Because I am sure the type of clientele that you would attract cares if the merchandise is being mistreated". Sookie rolled her eyes at Victor.
"Glad to hear that you understand. Shall we go, now"? Victor gestured to the hallway.
Sookie stood to her feet and then passed through the door.
They walked down the hall from the room she was sharing with Amelia. As they came closer to the door at the end of the hall, she could hear blow dryers and sewing machines. Victor opened the door to reveal the cause of the sounds.
"Clear out. I want complete focus on her". He commanded as he pointed to Sookie.
Several vampires and humans stood to their feet and then left before Victor and Sookie fully entered the room. One of the female vampires stopped right in front of Victor and seemed to be awaiting instructions.
"I want her hair and make up done to perfection. I want her dressed in an ensemble that will highlight the growing child".
"Yes, sir" She nodded.
"I will be back shortly". Victor warned before he left closing the door behind him.
The hair stylist directed Sookie to a bathroom. She opened the door for her to enter. Sookie only managed to step into the bathroom before the vampire had returned with a towel, wash cloth and robe.
"Thank you". Sookie couldn't forget her manners. The stylist was only following orders.
"You are welcome, my queen". She responded.
"Excuse me"? Sookie couldn't help but question her response.
"I know who you are, your majesty. I once lived in Louisiana, area five to be exact. Ms. Pamela was my most generous client". She answered before she turned to leave.
"What is your name"? Sookie had to know incase she needed that knowledge later.
"Celeste Shaw, your majesty".
"Thank you, Celeste"
Celeste nodded and then closed the door behind her as she left.
Sookie turned on the hot water before she stripped off her clothing and then climbed into the shower. She let the water run down her back in an attempt to relax her aching muscles. Then she soaped her hair and body. When she was done rinsing off, she then turned off the water. Sookie stepped out onto the bathmat and then reached for the towel sitting on the counter.
After drying her body she wrapped her hair in the towel. She ran her hands over her face before she wrapped her body in the robe that was left for her to dress in. Sookie finished tying the robe and then slid down the wall that was behind her until she reached the floor.
"Where are you, Eric"?
