Chapter Five
Authors Note: If any of you have noticed, I forgot to mention where Landon was staying. Actually, in all honesty, I forgot about him completely. I went back and read the second chapter to see about a few details of the cruise, and I'd like to clarify: Landon is staying in his own room, and the cruise is for one and a half months. This story will probably go until the beginning of the next school year.
He looked glorious. Absolutely gorgeous. And he was looking straight at her. Giselle blushed and quickly looked away. She had been caught- for probably the fifth time that day- checking Scott out. And more importantly, she had been caught by none other than the object of her affections himself. She was fairly certain that everybody suspected that she had developed feelings for him, even Scott had probably figured it out by now. Again, she looked up to meet his gorgeous brown eyes. Just as quickly as she had looked at him, she looked away. Giselle gathered her things, got up, stretched and started the walk back to her cabin room. She didn't want any more awkward situations with him.
As she got to the door, she took out her wallet and found that there was no key card there.
Shit.
Figuring that she had probably left it beside the pool, Giselle turned around- only to see a certain brown haired boy holding her card.
"Scott! Uh, hey…" Giselle trailed off silently.
"Sorry, did I scare you?" His eyes glistened with amusement but also concern.
"Um, kind of! You found my card?"
"Yeah, I seen you leaving and then I noticed that you left it there, so I brought it to you."
The two looked at each other uncertainly and unbeknown to Giselle, Scott's mind was racing a mile a minute- all with thoughts of her.
Her beautiful green eyes.
Her long red hair.
Her perfect lips.
The peaceful look on her face.
Her perfectly straight, white teeth.
Her long, tanned legs.
Everything about her.
She was driving him mental without even knowing it.
Giselle was the first to break the long silence that had stretched between them.
"Do you want to come inside?"
"Yeah, sure."
She opened her door and led him inside. Her room wasn't much different than Scott's but, there were a few differences. Everything was opposite of his; the bed, the TV, the couch, and everything in between.
Scott awkwardly cleared his throat, "So, how do you like it here, on the ship?"
"I love it here. I especially love where we're going though!"
"Me too!"
The ship was heading to Mexico, along the Maya Riviera, and it was coming back after two weeks, to pick up any people who had gotten off there. Once they were to get to Mexico, they would head to a resort and were allowed to go on any tours, just as long as they were back in time to get back on the ship. After Mexico, this time for one week, they were heading to Hawaii, then for another week to Italy, then they would take a train that headed to Paris, staying there for two weeks then they were to head back to the ship. It would take two days to get back to the Seaford port and that would be the end of the trip. Then after that, who knew?
When Scott looked back at Giselle, he saw that she was looking anywhere but him.
How awkward…
He knew he should start to talk, but he had no idea what to talk about with her.
C'mon, think, think, think!
Giselle took a deep breath, "You know I-" but she was interrupted by a knock at the door. Looking annoyed, she walked over and opened the door. It was Kiara.
"Sorry, Giselle, I forgot my key in here. Let's just hope it does-" spotting Scott, she cut herself off. "Scott? What are you doing here?"
He rolled his eyes at his little sister, "I was talking to Giselle."
Realization dawned on Kiara, "Oh… should I leave you two alone then?"
He sighed, "No, I should go make sure that Logan didn't do the same thing you did and locked himself out of our room."
Shooting a smile in Giselle's direction, Scott left the room and headed to his own.
Author's Note: Okay, so what did you think? I think I did alright… but it's really what you guys think that matters! Let me know by reviewing! :)
