So I might be a tiny bit late on this update...But I'm back now! :D
So sorry for not updating, I hate it when people do this to me on their stories as well. I hate being one of those people who just 'Disappear', Yaknow? Again, so sorry.
RED CONVERSE
I stop to peer out at the expanding sun through a window, watching the flames dance around against the darkness of space.
"Beautiful..." I murmur half unknowingly, eyes wide as I take in the orangey red sun, burning big and bright.
I'm snapped out of my entrancement by a blue woman in a baseball cap coming around the corner.
The blue woman stops as she spots me.
Yes! I can do this. She's nobody important to the story line, she wont get in the way or change anything drastically if I save her. She's just a plumber for gods sake, no reason for her to have to die.
I cant help my shit eating grin as I look at her.
"Hi!" I bounce on the balls of my feet as I wave frantically at her in my excitement. "I'm Alice and you have my permission to speak."
"Er, Hello Miss." She says in a kind voice, looking a bit confused but still smiling at me.
We stare at each other for a moment before I realize I've run into a problem. How in the hell am I supposed to go about saving her without causing any suspicion? I cant just tell her that there are killer metal spiders loose in the space station!
"Uh, Will that be all, Miss?" She asks me kindly, breaking through my internal panicked thoughts.
"Y-yes?" I stammer uncertainly before righting myself at her curious look. "No, I mean yes. Yes that's all."
She nods to me as she makes her way to a wall panel and starts to unlock it. It makes a sort of 'Bloop' sound every time she hits a key. Every bloop makes me panic more than the last one.
"Actually..." I say loudly to get her attention.
"Yes, Miss?" She asks as she halts her movement on the keys, looking away from the panel to look at me as her hand still hovers over the key pad.
I clear my throat to give myself time to think. Which is obviously not enough time and I freak a bit and spit out the first thing that comes to mind.
"I'm looking for a...plumber?" I say uncertainly.
She puts her hand that was punching the keys to her side and I let out a relieved breath. She's safe for the moment...
"I'm a plumber, Miss." She says straight away. "But I've got to carry out some maintenance, first. There's a tiny little glitch in the Face of Boe's suite. There must be something blocking the system. He's not getting any hot water. I won't be long."
Then she smiles and turns back to the key pad. Fuck.
Adrenalin crashes into me like a cold bucket of Ice water as I string together a sentence.
"No! No. I don't need a plumber, The, uh. The Moxx of Balhoon does! It- Its an emergency!" I half shout at her.
"What sort of an emergency?" She asks as she crosses her arms and frowns at me, taking a step closer.
'Fuck, almost there. Got to make her believe me and get the hell out of here.' I think to myself in a rush.
"A-a plumbing one!" I say loudly, letting my real panic for her life seep into my lying words. "He's flooded his toilet! It-its really bad, An awful mess just everywhere! And it just keeps flooding!" I make wild gestures with my arms, waving them about crazily. "They need you there NOW."
The blue woman looks confused but still nods her head and hurriedly starts to leave the room.
"Good luck with it." I say as she walks away.
She suddenly stops and I curse myself for a moment for saying anything, thinking she is going to see through me and stay here.
"Oh, and Thank you, miss." She says kindly.
I look at her bewildered. Fucking shit, how does she know? Does she know?!
"Uh, For what?" I question, staring at her from across the room.
"For er, thank you for the permission. Not many people are that considerate." She says to me sincerely before turning back around and walking out.
I snort.
That should teach The Moxx of Balhoon to spit in my face.
I shall be updating VERY soon, I promise. Please leave a comment because I love them more then fish-fingers and custard. And I do love me some of that. ;D
