Chapter 7: Raise of the Yokai, Tokonosu's Destruction
Morita withdrew his blade from Shido's neck and Shido dispelled whatever is was that was pointed at Morita's spine
"I take it that you're here for the same reasons I am" Morita asked monotone
"If you're asking about that hole down there then yes" Shido asked eyes never leaving the hole "Lord Moloch fell this un-devilish power and sent me to check it out"
Morita sweatdrop "don't you mean un-godly?"
"I know what a said" Shido smirked "anyway I suggest a temporary truce I'm under strict orders not to engage in avoidable events and I think we'll both need to be at our best for whatever is coming" Shido said with one of his 'winning' smiles which Morita return with a sarcastic one
"Fine truce it is" Morita sighs jumping off the building
"Kids these days have no patients" Shido says disappearing in a burst of blue flames
Morita landed on the sidewalk or what's left it "hmm now that I think about I haven't seen any zombies around here" He thougt to himself as he walk over to the giant hole as he got closer he saw that Shido was already there standing at the edge
Shido looked back at him with a smirk "What took you so long"
Morita shrugs with a grin "I was stuck in traffic" he jokes standing beside him looking into the abyss
"Do you feel it" Shido asked with seriousness a bit of fear in his voice
Morita ignored him and took out his PHZL and switched it to radar mode, the holographic radar popped up off the screen showing them the layout out the entire city and what his saw disturbed him
Shido noticed the troubled look on Morita's face and look at the radar but not knowing what the colored dots on it indicates only left him confused "What is it?"
Morita looks at him then back on the screen "you see those white dots blinking rapidly on the screen, well that tells us that there are zombies in the area but the thing is the faster the lights blink the large the amount is and by the looks of it there are thousands of them…but that's not what worries me"
"Then what has got you shaking in your boots" Shido demanded
"There's not a single zombie in a fifty mile radius in fact all them seem to be fleeing the city like their scared" Morita say grimly
"Come to think of it on my here I did noticed how they were stomping all over each other on my way in the city I just thought it was just brain-dead zombies being brain-dead" Shido says recalling what he saw
Morita points to the yellow dots on the radar "those ones show us that there are humans in the city a couple dozen of them by the looks of it, most of them are underground"
Shiodo's eyes widen at this "My students! My students might still be alive!" He thought to himself in excitement
"The red dots indicates hollows but there are only three of the and none are close to the humans so there's nothing for me to worry about" Morita said wiping the sweat
"Hollows? You mean those things with the white masks?" Shido asks curiously
"Yeah, you've seen them before?" Morita asks a bit surprised
"Seen them burnt them to a crisp" Shido replied casually
"Well then…thanks" Morita says reluctantly "moving on, you see the light blue dot right there it indicate reapers that's me and the purple dot beside it indicates 'now anyway' demons thats you"
Shido nods in understanding "So what the problem?"
"Notice that big green circle around our dots" Morita gulps "Well green means 'unknown' and the very size it self is already making me nervous"
Shido registered this, not only is this thing powerful but it was great in size as well that could be…problematic to say the least
"Nether Arts lvl 0: misleading lights" Shido says as his snapped his fingers soon several orbs of blue light appeared around him, he give Morita a grim look "I'm going in follow if you wish" and just like that he jumped in the abyss
"Wha-" Morita says as he watch Shido jump in, Morita scratches the back of his head and sighs "Dumbass that what I planned to do from the beginning" He says with a smirk, stuffing his hands into his pockets Morita jumps in after Shido
"Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
(Tokunosu City – Agumi Park)
Kurokami delivers a powerful roundhouse to Imamura's head sending him skidding to the monkey bars
Imamura grunts as he came to a stop "Hey now I think I'm seeing stars can't you dial it down a bit"
"…"
"Fine be that way" Imamura shunpo in front of Kurokami and knees him in the gut then delivers a uppercut to his chin sending Kurokami crashing in the sandbox
Kurokami gets up and spits the blood from his mouth "tch you're too weak"
"Hey now I'll have know that I'm holding back a lot" Imamura states waving his hand in the air as if he was fanning him off
Kurokami raised an eyebrow at this "is that so, well then why don't you show me that power you've been hiding" Kurokami says as he steady rouse his power
"I don't think that'd be fair at all I mean from what I've seen so far if I raise my power any higher you wouldn't last any longer" Imamura said cockily
"Is that so" Kurokami asks ticked off, his power was above fifty percent now
"Yep" Imamura replies casually
Kurokami then smirks "then tell me did you see this coming"
"See wha-gauh!" Imamura was cut off as Kurokami's fist collided with his ribcage
Kurokami's smirk widens as he heard Imamura scream in pain "you shouldn't have underestimated me" he reeled his left fist back and sent it into Imamura's gut, the force cause Imamura to collapse over on his fist "oh come on now don't tell me that's all you got and after acting so big" Kurokami grabs Imamura by the collar and held him up that's when Kurokami noticed the cocky grin Imamura had on his face and it pissed him off to no end, with an rage fill scream he punched Imamura in the face sending him flying backwards, Kurokami caught up to his flying body and delivered a powerful kick into Imamura's back sending him into air "I'M NOT DONE YET!" Kurokami sonido above Imamura's body a caught him by the face, Imamura's body hung limped from Kurokami's hand if it wasn't for his weak chuckling you would think he was dead "Why are you laughing" Kurokami asks with a growl
"Looks like they got her" Imamura say grabbing Imamura's wrist
HEY IMAMURA THE LITTLE GIRL IS SAFE YOU CAN STOP HOLDING BACK" A voice yelled from below
Kurokami looks down to see Takashi and Kazu waving back at him "the fuck?"
"That's good now get your hand out of my face" Imamura growled squeezing Kurokami's wrist and removed his hand but not letting go
Kurokami winced at Imamura's grip and tried to get his hand out but to no avail
"I can tell that you still have a bit of power in you but unfortunately I don't have time to spare fighting you so" Imamura paused for a while then smiles "I won't kill you"
"Wha-" Before Kurokami could register what had happen Imamura placed a finger on his forehead
"Hado #1: Shō" Imamura whispered
Kurokami's flew backward as if he was hit in the face then he passed out
Imamura released Kurokami's wrist and watched him fall to the ground, unfortunately for Kurokami he landed on the jungle gym with a loud 'clang' making Imamura, Takashi and Kazu wince
Imamura lands beside Kazu and sighs "Man that was annoying"
"You really hate holding back huh" Kazu says patting him on the shoulder
"Anyway how's the kid" Imamura asks looking at Alice then noticed something different about her "Wait a minute she look…younger?"
"What do you mean?" Takashi asks looking at the young child in his arms
"When I found this kid she looked about twelve when I found her now she looks seven, what the hell!" Imamura says poking her face
"We'll deal with that later right now we have a bigger problem to deal with" Kazu states looking at his PHZL "It looks like Morita has gone underground"
"But what about her?" Takashi asks "someone gotta take her to the base"
"Yeah but who" Imamura asks as they look at each other
"….1, 2, Rock-Paper-Scissors!"
"Where's Morita when you need him" Kazu grumble as he took Alice from Takashi and shunpo away
He lost.
"Well lets get moving" Takashi says, Imamura nods and they both shunpo in the direction where Morita had gone to
(With Morita and Shido)
After a falling/diving for 8 minutes Morita and Shido finally reached the bottom of the hole, what they did not expect was it to be lit up with torches or have so many different directions
"What the hell is up with this cave, how far down are we?" Morita asks out loud
"About 300 feet, but one thing is certain this cavern in man made" Shido states looking over the cave with a calculated gaze
"Well with so many ways to choose from I say we take the one with the bone chilling aura oozing from it
Shido nodded "very well"
"Great…you lead" Morita says standing five feet behind Shido with a grin
Shido sighs and took the lead
(15 minutes later)
"Man the chills are getting worst" Morita says rubbing his arms
Shido said nothing
(Another 15 minutes)
Morita started to drag his feet "How long is this cave!"
Shido said nothing
(35 minutes later)
They noticed a light at the end of the cave and the closer they heard singing
Shido reached the end of the cave and saw it, Shido stepped back in fear
Morita ran up to him "What going o-o-o-OH MY GOD!" he fell backward, what he was seeing was something straight out of legends, myths and history "there's no way" he stutters
At the end of the cave was a clearing 300 meters below large enough to hold an average village but in the center of it was no village, no in the center was a giant green snake! But this snake did not have one head or two no this giant snake had EIGHT HEADS! And eight tails
"Y-Y-Y-YAMATA NO OROCHI!" Shido and Morita screamed in there minds
The great creature was in a deep sleep, its deep breathes echoed through the room, its curled into a more comfortable position, it heads were place comfortably on top of one another, needless to say waking the creature would lead to dire consequences and that is what the person hovering above it was counting on but first he would go and greet his two new guests
Faster than the eye could see he appeared before the shocked Morita and Shido and gave a friendly greeting "Hello" He said kindly
Morita and Shido quickly regain their composer and grab the hilt of their swords eyeing the man wearily, they could feel it this dreadful power wasn't coming from the Yamata no Orochi, no it was this 'man' standing in front of them
The man in front of the stood 6 feet tall, he has long silky blond hair, a face that looked like it was craved out of marble, a charming simle and closed eyes, he has a perfect toned body yet had skin that looked as soft as a new born baby devoid of any scars or marking and the only piece of clothing he had on was a piece of pure white cloth wrapped around his waist and a pair of wind folded behind him
"Do not be afraid I will do you no harm" He says sincerely putting his hands up
"Who or what are you" Morita asks demandingly with a bit of fear in his voice
The man frowns "Apologizes but you two are uninvited quests here so correct me if I'm wrong but should you not introduces yourselves first?" He asks and starts smiling again
"Very well then" Shido says removing his hood and reveals his face "I am Koichi Shido a 'loyal' servant of the great lord Moloch"
The name Moloch caught the man's attention, he cracks one eye open and examine Shido and then turns to Morita "And you?"
Morita's grip tightens on his sword "Morita Hayate a reaper, human and enemy to this guy beside me"
"You're not allies?" The man asks in curiosity
"We're kinda in a temporary truce after this we'll get back to killing each other" Morita replies
Shido sweatdropped at Morita's reply "You don't have to say it so casually"
The man gave a light chuckle "My, you two are an odd pair" he stops chuckling and gave a small bow "A pleasure to meet you now allow me to introduce myself" He paused and opened his eyes revealing the Red Cross in them
"I Am Lucifer former archangel of heaven and first prince of Hell" Lucifer said with a voice so cold it made the room the temperature drop like a stone
Shido immediately dropped to his knees and bowed his head so fast it cracked the cave floor
"LORD LUCIFER PLEASE FORGIVE MY INCILENSE!" Shido yells his voice muffled by the ground by Lucifer heard him clearly
"Raise your head and stand proud servant of Moloch you are forgiven" Lucifer says calmly
Shido stood but did not look Lucifer in the eyes
"Lucifer? That's sounds like an English name, are you a foreigner?" Morita asks confused
Shido glares at him "Foolish boy don't you-
"Silence!" Lucifer says coldly then looks at Morita "young man I take it you're not familiar with Christianity"
"No I'm afraid not" Morita answers shaking his head
"Shame"
"And don't mind me asking but how exactly do you speak Japanese so well" Morita questioned
"Japanese? Oh you mean your native tongue, well to answer your question I am not speaking 'Japanese' as you I am speak 'angelic tongue' it is a universal language with it I can speak to and understand all whether it be plant, animal, human, alien or monster" Lucifer replies
Morita glups and took a deep breath "Ok last question, what exactly are you doing here?"
A scary smile crept on to Lucifer face "Why I'm on a field trip of course"
Morita and Shido began to sweat; the way Lucifer said that did not set right with them
(Tokonosu City Center)
Takashi, Kazu and Imamura stood at the edge of the hole, looking into the abyss
"So…whose first?" Takashi asks
"…Nope" Imamura says walking away from the edge and sat on one of the abandoned cars
"I say we wait" Kazu joins Imamura at the car taking of a deck of cards "what game should we paly to pass the time?"
"Let start with 'Go Fish' and go from there" Imamura yawns
"Takashi looks at the two the at the abyss then at them again before shrugging and joins them
"I'll shuffle"
(Inside underground cavern)
"Excuse me Lord Lucifer but what do you me be a field trip" Shido asks struggling to keep his composure
"My I'm being asked a lot of questions today" Lucifer sighs
"A-apologize" Shido stutters
"Very well, you see my 'Father' the one from above that is, not only many wonderful things he also made many destructive ones as well but he sealed locked of them away and I am on a journey to free them" Lucifer states dramatically, his smile never fading
"And it that one behind you one of them" Morita glares, slowly drawing his zanpakuto
Lucifer frowns a and glares at the sleeping breast behind him
"Unfortunately not, that breast is one of the Old Ones, one of the many monsters that ruled this world before humanity raised to power; I believe you the people here called them Yokai" Luciferreplies turning his back to them "I was very disappointed at first but the destruction this being will cost once it's awoken will be more than enough to quell my anger" Lucifer says coldly ask he spreads his transparent crystal clear wings and took flight
"Oh no you don't!" Morita charge at Lucifer with a shunpo, Shido stood where he was
"Sleep" Lucifer says simply
"What th-
Morita fell from the air to the cave floor sleeping soundly
Shido used to cave wall to keep himself from fall but soon he too fell asleep
"Now return to the surface" Lucifer commands lowly
Morita and Shido's bodies vanished in a flash of light
Lucifer looks down on the sleeping yokai and smirks "If only Sam could see me now" (1)
"NOW AWAKEN YAMATA NO OROCHI!"
Orochi's body shifts and its first head lifts trying to shake of its drowsiness, the first head opens its eye and looks over the cavern soon its sight fell on Lucifer, it turns to face him and stares at him from the longest while and Lucifer stared back
Lucifer then smiles "Hello my pe-
"Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!"
Orochi releases a deafening roar creating a series of shockwaves forcing Lucifer of cover his face, Orochi used its tail to hit Lucifer across the cavern straight into the wall, the other seven heads eyes snapped open joining the first in its roar amplifying the shockwaves, Lucifer laid imprinted in the wall the smile still plastered on his face,
All eight heads of Yamata no Orochi where now fully awake and he was far from happy
"Were you the one who awaken me"All eight head Orochi asks Lucifer darkly
"Yes I am" Lucifer relies with an equally dark tone
"Then… PERISH!" Orochi roars opening all of its mouth and spits a stream of flames at Lucifer
Lucifer grins as the flames came closer to him, when the flames were within mere centimeters of him he disappeared in to thin air; the flames hit the wall and spreads throughout the cave melting everthing
Orochi continues his attack not know of caring that Lucifer had already left it continues to spew flames
(Tokonosu City Center with Takashi, Kazu and Imamura *minutes before Orochi's awakening*)
"Takashi got any threes?" Kazu asks
"Go fish"
"You know without Morita this game isn't as form" Imamura states "Takashi got any queens?"
"Go fish" Takashi smirks
Just then a flash of light caught their attention and Morita's and Shido's body appeared at the edge of the hole
"Morita!"
They rush over to his sleeping form, Morita opens his eyes and yawns "Hey guy what u-YAMATA NO OROCHI, GUYS WE'VE GOT TO GET OUT OF HERE"
Morita's yell cause Shido to wake up, opening his eyes he noticed that he was above ground again
"I have to get back to Lord Moloch" Shido tries to stand but fell when the earth began to shake
"Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!"
The entire city shook from the roar from below
"What the fuck is that!" Imamura yells trying to regain his balance
"It's Yamata no Orochi" Morita yells holding on the a light post
"Who is that?" Takashi questions taking to the air with Kazu following him
The ground began to glow red and the temperature started to rise
"EVERYONE GET TO HIGHER GROUND!" Shido screams disappearing in a flash of blue fire to one of the skyscrapers
"Wait a sec was that Shido?" Takashi asks surprised
"I'll tell you about it later, FOLLOW HIM" Morita yells as he shunpo to where Shido was heading, Tkashi and the other followed
Standing on the forty floored building, Takashi, Morita, Kazu, Imamura and Shido watched as Tokonosu center sank into the ground and get engulf they lava and out of the lava roused –
Morita/Shido/Kazu: "YAMATA NO OROCHI"
(Fujimi High School *HOTD Base on operations*)
Souichiro stood on the roof as he looked over at the smoking city, "What a terrible turn of events"
The roar that was heard earlier sent the refugees into a panic, the soldier tried to regain order but found it even more difficult to do as they were scared too
Hisashi pushed opened the roof door a ran to Souichiro with Saeko and Rei following behind him
"Don Takagi I have something to show you" Hisashi said taking out a soul candy dispenser "It's the thing Takashi and the other use to get their power, if we use it we can go help them" Hisashi says with desperation in his voice
Souichiro takes the dispenser from Hisashi and recalls Takashi's word "The price for becoming a reaper is for life" He clenches the dispenser tightly
"What should we do?" Hisashi asks nervously
Before the Don could replie something in the distance catches his attention, turning back the city they saw the heads of Yamata no Orochi raise above the city buildings, no could otter a word they could only watch in fear
(The Distroyed Tokonosu City Center with Takashi, Kazu, Imamura and Shido)
Takashi and the other could only watch in shock as Yamata no Orochi continued to grow in size, it had already surpass the surrounding building in height and showed no sighs of stopping, its tails crushed everything in their path and it's hisses were so loud it shattered glass
"It is daytime" The first head states, the other heads looked up at the sun
"So it is" The second head agrees
"So what if it is" The third head says with a yawn
"Your right it is" The sixth head laughs
"It is what it is" The eight head says in a bored tone
"…" The seventh head was asleep
"Yes it is" The fifth head says in a feminine voice
The fourth remained silent
"This is against the rules" The sixth chuckles
"And we have awoken too early" The third yawns again
"Yokai are not all allowed to wonder in the daytime, not for another 50 years" The fifth says
"That is the law given to us by the great one and as kings we must uphold it" The first says seriously
"Then we shall return to the night and sleep until the time has past" The seven head says might after waking up
All eight heads nodded in agreement
Takashi, Shido, Morita, Kazu, Imamura and anyone else how happened to be in seeing and hearing range watched and listen as the heads converse among them selves
"No one move a muscle" Morita whispers
"I do not think that well do us any good" Shido whispers back
"Just shut up and pay attention you two" Takashi grunts
Yamata no Orochi raised all eight of its head to the sky and begins to chant
-ALL YOKAI ACROSS THE LAND-
-HEAR MY VOICE AND HEED THIS COMMAND-
-THE TIME IS NEAR, IT IS AT HAND-
-WHEN YOKAI SHALL FREELY ROAM THE LAND-
-SO REJOICE ALL YOKAI AND STAY ON PATH-
-FOR THOSE WHO DON'T SHALL FACE MY WRATH-
-NOW BACK TO SLEEP I SHALL RETURN-
-AWAKENED IN 50 YEARS TO SEE 'IT' BURN-
-AND TO NON-YOKAI WHO HAD SEEN MY FACE-
-YOUR MEMORIES SHALL BE WIPED IN PLACE
-FOR WE YOKAI MUST STAY FROM SIGHT-
-AS AGREED WE SHALL RULE THE NIGHT-
Yamata no Orochi finished its chant and just like that it was gone, there no flash of light or a sound to be heard it was just gone as if it was never there to begin with, but the damage it had done was proof that is was indeed there
Orochi was gone and with it were the memories of those who had seen and heard it
Takashi looks around the destroyed city in confusion "Um…what are we doing here?"
"I'll believe we are here to investigate the dreadful power we felt earlier" Kazu says unsure
"Lucifer" Morita whispers in shock remembering that he had seen him in the cavern below, but everything after that was fuzzy so he stayed quiet
Shido having remembering Lucifer as well left in a burst of blue flame to inform his master
"Well whatever in was its gone now and it did a number on the place" Imamura states looking at the damage that was done
Takashi sighs "Well then let's head back we got some new reaper to recruit"
The other nodded and they all left in a shunpo
But they all had a nagging feeling in the head that they had forgotten something

"Why the fuck do I feel like I'm developing a fear for snake" Imamura says out loud

This took me three days to write, I'm thinking of changing my writing style to the more common one, it's just that I want my readers to feel like what their reading is happening right now like their watching an anime or seeing a real time event or something, just to get their imagination going but anyway thanks for reading and remember the review PLEASE!
