07.

It was three weeks later.

Bridget was still at the hospital and had a nurse massaging her limbs, toes and fingers every day with some cream that was supposed to help her recover, but there wasn't any change in her condition, yet.

Guy was glued to her bed. He'd leave his place only to go to the bathroom or to get something to eat. He was always trying to distract the curly blond from her condition and was constantly talking to her, telling her story after story.

He told her how he decided to leave Solar Blue, because he didn't want to leave her alone. He told her how Bec and Gary desperately tried to convince him not to leave, but he was determined and no one could change his mind.

Bridget was mentally cursing herself, because she was the reason of Guy giving up his dream and she knew she'd never be able to forgive herself for that.

The others visited Bridget every week, bringing her small gifts and things to distract her off her condition and of boredom.

That meant so much for Bridget and not being able to hug them or tell them how much they all mean to her was killing her inside.

Three weeks had passed. Three weeks with no change in her condition. Three weeks of the curly blond lying speechless and motionless in the hospital bed.

And now it was night again. Guy had already fallen asleep in his chair, his head lying next to her hand. Bridget however was wide awake. Her eyes were wandering somewhere out the window of her hospital room. She closed them for a bit and desperately tried to move. She was so fed up of lying in that bed motionless and she tried to move a muscle, a finger, a toe, anything.

"Come on." She thought, fighting with her body. "You can do this, Bridget. You can do it."

She tried desperately again and again with no avail. Just when she finally gave up, too angry and exhausted to carry on with the unsuccessful attempts, something happened.

Her forefinger had trembled. Filled with hope Bridget tried once more and she did it again. Happiness spread through her veins all over her body, only to be replaced by sadness again.

She moved her eyes to Guy's head resting next to her hand.

"You can do it Bridget." She thought to herself.

Pain, white hot, destructive pain spread all over her body. Her finger continued trembling desperately trying to reach the top of his hair.

"Come on, come on, Bridget. Only a little bit more."

She wanted to scream so bad because of the pain, but she didn't give up.

Guy moved in his sleep; he felt something touch the top of his hair and at first didn't do anything, but then suddenly he shot his head up. He looked down and his eyes widened, then lit up full of happiness.

"Bridget! Bridget, this is amazing! You're moving your finger!" Guy looked at her face grinning like crazy. He leaned and gave her a small kiss on the forehead. "I knew you could do it, I'm so proud of you."

The corners of Bridget's lips twinkled to form a smile and her eyes filled with tears. She desperately tried to make a sound.

"No, don't pushed yourself too hard." Guy said. "Get some rest now."

"..G.." She managed.

"Please, try to get some sleep. You're putting too much pressure on yourself." Still, Guy couldn't get the smile off his face.

He soothed Bridget's hair and kissed her forehead. She closed her eyes and soon enough drifted off to sleep.

"Everything will be ok, Bridget."

Guy whispered quietly in her ear, careful not to wake her up.

"I believe in you and I'm sure you'll walk and talk again, very soon. You just need to give yourself some time."

And he gently kissed her forehead.

"Sleep tight..princess."

Lydian hadn't showed up at the hospital again after that time when he had ran into Guy in Bridget's room.

He was busy with his job as a lifeguard and he had some family issues to resolve. Still, whatever he was doing, he couldn't stop thinking of her, Bridget. He had learned her name from that Guy boy who was in her room and who was one of the reasons for Lydian not to go and try to visit her again.

His thoughts were always bringing him back to the moment he found her on the beach. She looked so fragile, so broken, so lifeless, yet her beauty was breathtaking and he wanted to save her no matter the cost. He couldn't forget the moment when her eyes found his and he felt lost in the depth of those ocean blue orbits.

"Yo, how you're doing man?"

The voice took him out of his thoughts and he stared at his best friend standing in front of him.

"Huh?"

"I asked how you're doing." His friend repeated.

"Oh. Well, I..I'm fine."

"Doesn't look like it. You're still thinking for her, aren't you? The girl you found on the beach.."

"So what if I do? I'm going to visit her today."

"What? Are you out of your mind? You're only going to run to that boyfriend of hers again."

"I don't think he's her boyfriend. Besides this time I'll wait for him to get out of the room and then I'll go in. That way I'll get the chance to be alone with her."

"You are out of your mind." His friend stated, shaking his head. "And besides she can't move neither talk. It'd be like you're visiting a..I don't know..a doll maybe?!"

Lydian clenched his fist.

"Watch your words."

"Why, what are you going to do to me?"

The other boy relaxed his fist.

"Nothing." Lydian sighed. "Just don't say anything like that about her, ok?!"

His friend shook his head.

"You're so screwed."

Lydian glared at his friend.

"What? Why do you say that?!"

"Because you're in love my friend."

"That's not true, Morris."

He couldn't be. That was impossible.
