CH 7

Lucky was instantly brought back into reality. Sam was another man's love. And worse that man was his blood brother. Lucky wished he could be one of those guys. Go after whatever he wants, no matter what the consequences.

Sam ran into Johnny's arms. Johnny looked up at Lucky, and mouthed "Thank You" him. With that Lucky backed out of the living room. He had done his job, and he would continue to do his job...nothing else.

"I'm sorry..." Johnny pulling back the few stray strands of hair that laid across her face.

"Why are you sorry?"

Johnny wrapped his arms down around her waist. Sam rested her arms around his neck. "I have been neglecting you."

"No arguments here" Sam teased

"Well things are going to change. After I get back from my trip to Mexico, I promise things will be different"

Sam pulled away harshly, "Mexico?"

"I'm setting up a permanent place for us to live. We will have enough money to live the rest of our lives in ease...I'm getting out of the business"

"Will I ever be able to come home and see my family? What about Alexis...Kristina, and Molly?"

"This is the only way I know how to make this work"

Johnny pulled Sam into his embrace. He wiped away the tears streaming down her eyes.

"I love you Sam"

Sam pulled away farther, "I need time to think about this" then she proceeded to walk out of the living room and upstairs to her bedroom.

Lucky had arrived at Jake's. Beer in hand, and the world's biggest headache. Lucky recognized a woman that he hadn't seen in a couple of years. The long dark brown hair and the red stiletto shoes gave it away. By why was she there? If he had noticed her, the Lucky knew damn well she noticed him.

It was only a matter of time, before she would make her presence known.

"Well I'll be damned" the devil spoke...Lucky thought

"Spencer...Lucky Spencer. As I live and breathe"

Lucky took another swig from his beer, before he slowly and unwillingly turned his body around.

"Claudia"

"Don't I get more than that, Lucky?"

"Hello, you bitch" Lucky usually had his manner when It came to the fairer sex, but Claudia was a different story. A story Lucky would love to forget.

"Now that is the Spencer I know" Claudia took a seat next to Lucky. Wrapping her arm around his neck..."Cole...how about you get me one of those bottles of piss that you like to call beer"

"Lady-like, Claudia" Lucky sniped

"I didn't hear you complain, that night"

"You know as great as this stroll down memory lane is, I have to go"

"So I hear you are protecting John's bed bunny?"

"What the hell do you want Claudia?"

"Looks like some on isn't happy with the bed that bunny is sleeping in" Claudia slyly smiling from ear to ear.

"Like always Claudia, you have it all wrong"

"No Spencer I don't think I do"
