At four, Amu and Ikuto walked to Seiyo Academy to pick Ami up. Once again, Tsukasa-san greeted Amu at the gate. He looked a little stunned to see Ikuto (surprisingly enough). Tsukasa-san opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted by Melody and Akira flying up.

"The Guardians are finishing up their meeting. Ami-chan should be coming in a few minutes," Melody said.

"Okay, Melody," Amu smiled.

"Who are they-nya?", Yoru asked.

"We are Ami-chan's shugo charas. I'm Melody and this is Akira."

"She's not going to attack me is she?", Ikuto asked, pointing to Melody.

"Haha. No. But Utau will tackle you when she sees you," Amu laughed.

"I'd rather be tackled by you," Ikuto smirked. Amu's face turned bright red.

"Onee-chan, why's your face red?", Ami asked as she, Rikka, and Hikaru joined them.

"No reason," Amu blushed even more.

"Hello, Hikaru,"Ikuto said.

"So, you're back huh?", Hikaru replied indifferently, as he kept walking.

"Hikaru, that's rude!" Rikka shouted, politely bowing to Amu and Ikuto before catching up to Hikaru.

"And… they're gone," Ami sighed, shaking her head.

"Let's go home!", Ran cheered.

The trio started off towards the Hinamori residence. They got about a block away from the school when Amu's phone rang.

"Amu-chii, big problem!", Yaya shouted into Amu's ear when she answered.

"Yaya what's wrong?", Amu asked.

"I'm looking at one of those weird eggs right now."

"Where are you?"

"The dance studio. I just got done with ballet class."

"Keep an eye on it. I'm on my way. Let the others know."

"Roger!"

Amu hung up.

"Ami go home and wait for us," Ikuto said.

"Why Ikuto-san?"

"It's too dangerous for you."

"Ami don't go home. Go to Yukari-san's production studio. Tell Utau that we might need her," Amu said. Ami nodded and took off in the opposite direction.

"Are you sure?" Ikuto asked. Amu nodded.

"Besides, I was going to invite her to dinner anyway, so that she could see you. We should get going."

"My own heart: UNLOCK!"

"Chara nari: Amulet Heart!"

"Chara nari: Black Lynx!"

Ikuto and Amu hurried over to the dance studio. They met Kukai and Tadase half way. Ikuto warned them to keep an eye out for anyone wearing a black cloak. He explained that that would be Kaori and she was the most dangerous of the four. When the quartet reached the studio, they were met by Nagi and Rima in the alley.

"Yaya-chan managed to get the girl and the egg on the roof," Nagi said.

"Let's go!", Amu said," Heart speeders!"

Tadase and Kukai flew up on Kukai's board. Rima used Tightrope Dancer, while Nagi charged up his shoes. Somehow Ikuto had already made it to the top of the fire escape. Upon reaching the rooftop, the group saw Dear Baby in a sort of standoff with the strange egg.

"You know staring at it won't do anything," Kukai chuckled.

"How else am I supposed to 'keep an eye on it'?", Yaya pouted.

"Well, well, well. We meet again cat man," a male voice said from above.

The group looked up. A figure wearing a dark blue cloak was sitting in the air.

"Hayate!" Ikuto exclaimed.

"Kaori told me about the little incident in Germany. You're lucky to be alive," Hayate laughed sinisterly," But first I think I should introduce you to my little friend."

Hayate snapped his fingers and the strange egg glowed briefly before returning to the girl's heart. But as it disappeared into her chest, black ribbon-like energy engulfed her momentarily. When the energy disappeared, the girl was dressed in a black tutu with matching toe shoes.

"Chara nari: Void Dancer," she said.

"Void Dancer, please entertain our charming guests!", Hayate ordered.

The girl started spinning rapidly towards the Guardians. Her motions became more unpredictable. She started in Tadase and Rima's direction. Both evaded, only to find her spinning towards Kukai and Nagi. It became clear that there was no stopping the girl. She kept spinning and getting faster and faster. Her attacks, though precise, never made contact with anyone.

"We're getting nowhere with this!", Yaya exclaimed, as she attempted to dodge another attack.

Ikuto noticed that the girl had made no moves toward Amu. He's after Amu, Ikuto thought.

Void Dancer sped towards Tadase, who jumped out of the way. Ikuto watched as Hayate smirked. Just as the girl turned and headed toward Amu at full speed, the tutu seemed to turn into a razor. Ikuto quickly jumped in front of Amu, holding his claws at waist level as a way to block the attack. This time the girl made contact. Sparks flew as Ikuto continued to keep the girl at bay with his claws.

"So you saw through the pattern. Impressive, but your efforts are in vain,"Hayate said," Void Dancer if you would please treat our guest of honor to an encore."

The dancer retreated briefly before spinning in a circle around Amu and Ikuto. Dark energy started to fill the space around them. The energy cancelled their chara naris. Hayate flew down to the "vortex". He reached in and grabbed Amu. He flew above the others, as the dancer stopped spinning all together, collapsing on the roof.

"Let go of me!", Amu shouted, struggling to free herself from Hayate's grip.

"Now, now. Don't be so violent," Hayate said, evilly.

"Amu/-chii/-chan!", everyone exclaimed.

"Kaori holds you personally responsible for interfering with her battle with the cat man, Hinamori Amu," Hayate whispered in her ear," You're going to pay by taking his place." Amu's eyes widened in fear. Suddenly, a single white feather floated down.

"White wing!"

"Harmonic shower!"

A blast of white feathers hit both Amu and Hayate, while pink and white music notes rained down on them. Hayate was forced to let Amu go.

"Utau-chan! Ami-chan!" Yaya cheered. Utau dropped off Ami above Tadase, who caught her with Holy Crown, as she flew back up to catch Amu.

"You alright?" Utau asked. Amu nodded, still obviously shaken.

"More allies, huh? No matter, my work here is done," Hayate smirked, disappearing.

Utau gently put Amu on the roof, before landing herself. The others ran to Amu asking if she was alright. Ikuto stayed back, Utau walked over to him.

"The Dream Catchers- I saw one of them a couple of days ago," Utau whispered," You know as well as I do, that they are so dangerous that Hikaru-kun told us that he didn't want to use them to get the Embryo."

Ikuto's eyes narrowed. He knew she was right.

"Utau could you get a hold of Yukari's brother? I think we're going to need some back up," Ikuto whispered back.

"Amu!", Rima exclaimed. Amu had collapsed.

"Um, guys. What's wrong with Ran and Dia?" Yaya asked, pointing to the two eggs that were hovering above Amu. Suddenly, they darkened and an X appeared on both of them.
