Before E could make any motion the creature had quickly wrapped his body around her like a snake. It made her nervous to have an unknown living being so close to her, especially after so many years of isolation. "Before we go any further with this relationship I do believe introductions are in order", E looked bewildered at his choice of words and the creature quickly took notice of it and began to laugh. "Working relationship my dear", he said between giggles as E blushed in embarrassment, lightly slapping her hand to her head. "Oh you're just too much. Now my dear, I am, or at least was, the ruler of this land you're on, Discord. Pray tell what is your name", he handed E her book and she once again wrote in it and showed Discord her reply.
'E'
He looked confused at what was written "My dear, this is nothing but a letter. What is your full name", she wrote in it again and turned the book towards him once more.
'It's the only thing I remember of my name.'
When Discord read this he leaned away from her and seemed to have gone momentarily into thought "Very well then, I suppose having a letter is good enough for a name then not knowing at all. Besides, it'll be easier to remember", he grinned as he patted the girl on her head. "As for your revenge, how where you going to go through with it", he watched E eagerly as she closed her book and shoved it back into her bag before pulling out an orb that was encircled by two rings. Discord's eyes light up with glee as he quickly unwrapped himself from around E and picked up the orb with his lion claw "Do you have any idea what you have here E", she shook her head "This was one of my first creations! I called it the sleeping orb", he held the orb above his head with excitement like a kitten holding a ball of yarn.
It only confused E as to why he called it the sleeping orb? As if reading her thoughts Discord gave a wide grin "This, my dear girl, is an orb I created when I first became ruler. With it I could replace one pony's dream with another's, it was quite fun", his grin grew more as he began to reminisce "Those were fun times, until those two alicorns spoiled my fun", Discord looked down at E with an even bigger grin. "Could it be that you wanted to do the same to every single pony in town", E quickly shook her head, it was far from her original plan. She quickly pulled out her book and began writing, once she finished she turned the book towards Discord once more.
'I didn't know what it was; I was just going to try to try it on Celestia and hope that I could get it to work. I also don't want to use it on other ponies, just Celestia.'
Discord looked at the writing as if the words had suddenly become foreign to him. "What do you mean by that? Cha- I mean dreams should be spread throughout this world", E gave a frown and shook her head. "So you were just planning on using the orb on Celestia and that would be it? No other pony", E gave a nod in response. Discord floated there, looking at the orb in his claw as his mind began to ponder at what was told to him. The being before him, this female, wanted to only afflict the effects of the orb on to Celestia and no other pony. This wasn't why he had originally created it. The sole purpose of the orb was to chaos within dreams. He then began to wonder what Celestia could've done to make this being mad at her in the first place.
Discord, still confused by the being, looked at her eyes from where he was floating. E's eyes showed some good, but it was only a small amount to the hate they seem to hold as well. "Are you sure you don't want to use it on all of them? I mean it's more fun to change more than one pony's dreams", E shook her head once more which made Discord sigh in response. "Very well, then-", Discord paused and looked off somewhere; a grin began to make its way onto his face. "I suppose we could do that, but first you must learn to use this little gem. Wouldn't want the magic to get out of control now would we", Discord quickly wrapped himself around E once more and before she could question his actions she saw the world fading from her sights.
