"Sebastian?"
Sebastian smiled softly at her, slowly walking towards her, his eyes not leaving her confused ones.
"Are you alright?" he asked in a polite tone. He wrapped his coat around her and wrapping his other arm around her waist, pulling her closer to his chest, his chin resting on top of her hair. "I was scared from the moment when I heard your trembling voice." he lifted her chin and stared lovingly at her eyes, "I thought I was going to lose you."
Hammy gasped and stared widely at him. "W-what? I didn't say anything..."
Sebastian pulled her again on his chest, his arms tightening his hold on her. "Shh... Sleep."
At that moment, Hammy's eyes slowly closed and drifted into a dreamless sleep.
Meanwhile
Harry stared deeply at the ceiling as he waits for his 'patients call. He was worried for Hammy's sake, since that 'guy' stepped into their lives. For the past few months, Hammy became more lively and bubbly like she was the healthiest person in the world, which is not. She was smiling like a high school girl who got her first kiss every time she heard the name Sebastian. Though she didn't show it to her office mates and especially her Auntie.
Harry sighed and tossed on the other side of his king sized bed. He suddenly remembered the times Hammy and him would lay here in arms and read John Green's 'The Fault in Our Stars'. She would cry and soaked his shirt with her tears, then laughing at her drama and kissing her forehead.
He always asked himself, how did it end? Why could something very simple yet amazingly ended in an abrupt stop? Was she afraid? Then afraid of what?
Harry sighed again and closed his eyes.
'Oh, Hammy, what am I going to do with you... if you're gone, forever?'
In the midst of the evening, Sebastian slowly laid his gift on his new bed he bought last week. He thought that this might need, and so he was right.
Sebastian carefully takes off her wet clothes and replacing them with new ones. Since she was his gift, all of the years of traveling and forming a contract he always bought a gift for her then locking it away in their room.
After dressing her cold body, he noticed that she was getting paler by the moment. Worried washed his entire body, he quickly checked her pulse and felt her pulse getting weaker.
He stood up and rushed to the cabinet and took his phone out and dialed the number he despised so much.
"Hello?"
"Mr. Morrison." Sebastian addressed politely.
"Sebastian? What are you doing? It's 12:46 in the morning, why are you calling this kind of time?"
"I need your help."
"For what?"
"It's about Harmonica."
He heard a gasp. "Where are you now?"
Typical "I'm here at my home."
"Give me your address."
"Okay, it's $^&%&^(**)9" (Lol, just imagine, kay guys? Lol)
"Alright, I'll be there in 10 minutes."
With that, Sebastian turned off his phone. He sighed and brushed his hair back and turned back to his room where his gift was sleeping.
After 10 minutes as Harry had promised, Sebastian let Harry entered his house and guided him to Hammy was.
Harry saw a pale looking Hammy, lying motionless on the bed as if she's dead. He rushed towards Hammy and checked all of her vital signs.
When the clock strikes in two am, Harry sighed in relief as he puts his tools in his bag. He looked at the sleeping figure in front of him, from earlier, Hammy was looking sickly pale, but now her color was now returning into its original shade. He smiled slightly, then frowned when he remembered that he was in his house.
Harry finally stood up, then facing Sebastian as if he was a monster or something.
"What did you do?" he asked as he sent glares towards the demon.
"Nothing, I saved her from those gangsters outside." Sebastian simply said, looking all hot and yummy at the same time. (Lol, what the hell? XD Fan girl moment~!)
Harry narrowed his eyes. "Don't play games with me, Michaelis."
Sebastian rolled his eyes. "I didn't do anything. I only saved her, that's all." he said as he walked towards the other side of the bed and stood there, with his arms crossed, and his chin up looking all mighty as if Hammy was his most prized possession.
Both of them saw Hammy stirred in her sleep, she muttered something under her breath, their scowl turned into a smile when they saw her turn back to normal again. Harry stared lovingly at her then he checked his watch and it says '2:15 am'. He sighed and looked at Sebastian with a determined look.
"I'm going home now, but it doesn't mean that I'm not going back."
Sebastian smirked, his eyes narrowed. "Fine, do what you want. It's not like she's going anywhere in that state."
Harry humped, turning his back on him, walking towards the door.
"But before you go," Sebastian said, Harry looked over his shoulder and still sending him glares. "I want to know her condition."
Harry scoffed, "Why would I tell you that?" he said as he faced him again.
Sebastian stares harden, "I have the right to know." he smirked evilly, "Even if you don't tell me, she would tell me in the end."
Harry sighed deeply, he hates to admit it, but he's right. He would know it by the time Hammy wakes up in the morning and ask her condition. He closed his eyes for a moment, thinking about the situation he's in.
"Harmonica," Harry said, using Hammy's full name. "She's..."
Sebastian rose an eyebrow, losing his patience. "She's what?"
"She has leukemia," he snapped.
Sebastian's eyes widen in shock, his mouth agape. He looked down at Hammy, his eyes full of weariness. He sighed deeply and closed his eyes. Is this the fates' telling me about? He thought. Before having a gift from the fates, one must face the consequences that will occur, so that in the end he or she will get that certain happiness from their hearts. Everyone deserves happiness; even demons.
I'm back. Lol, I'm not really satisfied with this chapter, but oh well, at least I continue it, right? XD
