Chapter 9

It was 5:30 when the girls pulled back in the driveway. The boys had already showered and were drinking a beer and watching some gore movie. The girls came through the door, arms full of bags. The boys met them. "Are there more?" Sam asked. "Yeah, the trunk is full." Angie said making her way to the kitchen. "Did you leave anything at the store?" Dean asked as him and Sam carried both arm full of bags. Pam had came in to help the girls put everything up. "We were out of everything." Angie said. Sam headed back to the living room as Dean grabbed them both another beer. "You have a hour and a half before we leave, Princess." he said as he headed to join Sam. "I can tell time, smart ass." she yelled back. Pam smiled, "That's right, you guys have a date." Angie smirked. "Yeah, I guess." "What does that mean?" Pam asked as Dawn listened. "Nothing, it's not like we haven't ate dinner together." Pam smiled. "You are nervous." Angie huffed, "I'm not…. O.k. I'm nervous." "Why?" Dawn asked as they put the last of the groceries away. "I don't know." "You have no reason to be nervous. Have fun, enjoy it. Dean Winchester doesn't ask just anybody on a date." she smiled as she left the room. Dawn grabbed a bottle water out of the fridge, "I am gonna go shower." "Me too." Angie said as they both headed to their rooms. "One hour, Princess." Dean yelled. "What are you gonna do go without me?" she yelled back and he smiled.

7:15. Angie was sitting on her bed putting on her boots with the tall thin heel. She stood and took one last look in the mirror. Sam and Dawn were already gone. Dean made his way to the doorway. "Come on baby, I'm star…" He stopped in mid sentence when he saw her in the mirror. She was wearing a pair of dark jeans, tight at the ass and hips and flared at the legs and ankles. Pink speggetti strap top. Which looked even sexier against her tanned skin. Her make-up was perfect, causing her bright blue eyes to sparkle. Her hair was pulled up in a claw clip with a few strands hanging. She looked at him and smiled. "I'm ready" she said as she grabbed her dark light crop jacket and put it on as she passed him. He closed his eyes as he breath the sweet smell of her perfume as she passed. "Move your ass, I thought you were ready." She yelled. He smiled and headed for her.

She sat in the passenger seat as Dean drove her truck. He was quite the whole drive. "Are you o.k.?" she asked. He looked at her and smiled. "Yeah, just tired." They pulled into the parking lot and both got out. Dean waited for her at the front of the truck as she check her face in the mirror. As they headed to the door, she walked to his right as he pressed his hand to the small of her back. As they sat at their booth, the waitress arrive to take their order. Young, cute, blonde wearing tight short shorts. Her t-shirt was tight and her "fake" boobs were out the top of it. Smiling, she asked. "You guys know what you want to drink." as they both looked at the menu. "Beer" Dean answered, not even looking at her. "Sweet tea, please." Angie said and closed her menu. "I know exactly what I want." she said. "What?" Dean asked. "Steak, well, with fries, not salad." Dean closed his menu, "Sounds good to me." "Here you go." the waitress said as she sat down their drinks. She smiled at Dean, "You ready to order." He barely smiled as he told her what they wanted. They were quite for a few minutes as Angie watched Dean do his normal survalence of the place. "What did you and Sam do today?" Before he could answer his phone rang. It was Jo" "Hello" he answered. "Dean, we have looked around here. There have been some omens. I think we have it narrowed down to a little neighborhood. A man called police and reported that one of his neighbors was in trouble, when they got there, the older man would not let them in and said everything was fine. But the neighbor said that his wife had not been to work for a couple of days." "Why is that weird?" he asked. "Well, the neighbor said they are very prompt and keep a strict schedule, even the granddaughter has been out of school. He was really worried." As he listened the waitress set down their food. "Thank you" Angie whispered as Dean continued his conversation. "Sounds good, let me know when you know something." he said. "I will. Dean, I will see you when you get here." she said. "O.k." he said and hung up. "Was that good news?" Angie ask as she begin to eat. "It was Bobby, he thinks he has a lead on where Lilth is hiding." he lied and never looked at her. He just started to eat his food. The next few minutes were filled with small talk. Dean pushed his plate to the side as the waitress set another beer in front of him. Angie could not take anymore, she pushed her plate to the side and wiped her mouth. "What is wrong with you?" she asked. "Nothing." he said as he looked at her. "Dean, you were quite on the way here, radio off. You have not even smiled at the waitress, which has done everything but sit in your lap to get your attention. And usually by now, you would have ate all your food and on your fourth beer waiting on me. Not to mention that half the women in here have smiled at you and nothing. So spit it out. I'm a big girl, I can handle it." "What are you talking about." he asked. "Give me a break, just because I talk slow doesn't mean I'm stupid." He shook his head and sipped his beer. "Look Dean, don't feel like this between me and you is something you have to do so that me and Dawn will help you with Lilth. We are gonna help you, and then…" He interrupted before she could finish. "You are so off base, it's funny." "Don't act like I'm way out in left field. I know you, Dean." He leaned in closer. "You are not even in the ball park." She looked out the window as he sat back in the booth. "I'm not sure what this is with you and me. But it feels good., If we can't stop Lilth, I want you to know that this is best thing that I have had. I have always managed to fuck up the good things in my life. But through everything, here we are. And it feels good." Angie fault back tears, she was not gonna cry. She knew she was gonna have to face the fact that they may not find a way to save him. Until know she had not let her self think about it. But not tonight. Dean reach across the table and laid his large hand across her's. "I want you to know, I really care about you." The waitress sat the bill down. "Do yall want anything else?" Angie and Dean look at each other. Angie stood and grabbed her jacket. "No, we are done." As she put on her jacket, Dean laid enough cash on the table for the bill and a large tip. He had to nearly run to catch up with her in the parking lot. He placed his hand on her back as they walked in silence to the truck. The radio played quietly as they exited the parking lot. "Look, I don't expect anything, I just wanted you to know how I feel." Angie rested one hand on the middle console, the other twirling a piece of her hair as she stared out the window. "Can't we just enjoy whatever this is. And when this is over then we see where to go from here?" A few more minutes of silence. "You twirl your hair when your nervous, and when you are pissed, you ball your fist and tremble just a bit. And when you are reading you press your index finger to you lips." She looked at him confused. "What the hell are you talking about?" He smiled that evil smile, "You are not the only one that is observant, that's my job." She smiled and shook her head and looked back out the window. He gently slid his hand over hers. "Yeah, well, you smack and make disgusting sounds when you eat, and when you are bored you make as many aggervating sounds as possible. Just before you fall asleep you rub your chest. And when you put your pants on, you adjust yourself before you pull them up." He looked at her and smiled as he turned into the driveway. Sam and Dawn were already back, and must have been in their room, because it was quite. Angie took off her shoes and jacket at the door and grabbed the mail before following Dean into the kitchen. He grabbed a beer from the fridge and watched her as she faced away from him looking through the mail. "You know you love all my bad habits." She continued sorting the mail. "Not all them. One pisses me off." "What's that?" he asked. "When you get ready to leave out, I have to count every step you take to the door, then you turn back and smile. Whether we are fighting or not. Then you say "See ya later" He was quite for a minute, and every moment she was talking about flashed through his mind. "Why does that piss you off?" Without turning around her shoulders relax and her head falls. She takes a deep breath. "Because every time you do it, it feels like you rip my heart out of my chest, step on it and it shatters into a million pieces. Because I know one of the times you leave, you might not come back. And every time I think this might be it. It pisses me off that I have let myself get to this point." He walks up behind her and wraps his big strong arms around her waist. He can feel her tremble. "That's why there are something I need to say." he whispers. She shakes her head. "No, if we do, then I have to accept the fact, that there is a possibility that you will be gone. I can't. I just want you to hold me. If I hold on real tight, and don't let go then…" she stopped. He turned her to him and grabbed the sides of her face. "We don't have to talk. But I need to say,.. "I love you. You are the best think that has ever happened to me." She closed her eyes and begin to cry as he rested his forehead to hers. "Don't say anything, I don't want you to say anything back. I had to say it out loud." He leaned down and kissed her so softly and so long like if he pulled away he would not be able to breath. "You know I would do anything to protect you. Anything." She nodded and brought his lips back to hers. He pulled away and wiped the tears from her face. "Are you ready to go to bed." he asked. "Yeah, go ahead. I am gonna lock up." He kissed her. "Hurry up." and he lightly slapped her ass. She leaned against the counter and took a deep breath. If he didn't get out of this deal, she would not be able to take it. And now that he told her he loved her, she knew he felt the same way about her as she felt about him. Just their luck, why couldn't they get easy. Nothing every came to them easy.
