Chapter 6- Secret

A month had gone by and Akaito and I had a strong relationship and it was growing everyday. In that month Akaito became more popular because of us dating, people treated him a lot better. The relationship with his dad didn't get better but slowly he started to talk to me about it and that made me happy.

Today was the day we were going to decide what we were going to sing for the performance next week. I went through the normal routine and got dressed then went downstairs to get breakfast. What was different from a month ago was that Akaito was downstairs helping my mom with breakfast. Hatsune was waiting at the table in the chair next to my dad's chair. It had become normal now for Hatsune to come over before school and enjoy breakfast with us. Akaito looked back and noticed me then he smiled which made my heart ache, he was so handsome when he smiled.

"Good morning, how did you sleep" Akaito asked while turning back towards the stove.

"I slept really well" I said with a smile then sat down in my chair at the table.

When I sat down Hatsune greeted me with a smile then we started to talk.

"So what are you going to sing in the performance next week" I asked.

"I don't know, all I know is that whatever I sing it will be with IA" Hatsune answered with a sigh.

I guess I wasn't the only one who didn't know what they were singing. Rin, Len, Luka, and Gumi were the only ones who knew what they were going to sing.

My mom and Akaito brought in the food then sat down. We all grabbed some food then my mom looked at Akaito and I talking and laughing and that brought a smile to her face. She was happy to see my first boyfriend and I getting along.

Once we finished our breakfast we slipped our shoes on then said our goodbyes and left for the day. As we walked to school I wanted to hold Akaito's hand then Akaito grabbed my hand with a blush on his face. We walked hand and hand as we walked to meet IA. When IA was in sight we ran up to her then we all walked to school. Akaito and I went to the nurses office like we usually do before homeroom so he could get his leg looked at, it was healing nicely.

Homeroom was boring because Mr. Yamada had a sub teacher for homeroom since he was at a meeting and he gave a lecture about the history of music. All of us were waiting for him to stop talking but sadly he never did so all of us were waiting for the bell to ring. When the bell rang the entire class ran out the door to their next class. As we got closer to the gym Akaito, Hatsune, and I were hoping Mr. Yamada was back. To our luck Mr. Yamada was in the gym talking to Kaito and Kamui. We all took a breath of relief then walked over to where IA was standing. Akaito had his headphones around his neck but now he didn't put them on so he could hear our conversation. We talked for a little bit then Mr. Yamada blew his whistle then we turned our attention towards him.

"Today we are going to do something fun" Mr. Yamada announced.

Everyone looked at him a little confused then he started to explain.

"Starting today we are going to be going outside and using the swimming pool" He explained then everyone's look of confusion turned to excitement.

IA raised her hand getting Mr. Yamada's attention.

"We don't have swimsuits" She brought to his attention.

"You don't need them today because you'll be cleaning the pool so we can swim tomorrow" He said with a smile.

Everyone went from excited to groaning and not wanting to do it. We all went outside to the pool then Mr. Yamada handed us all cleaning equipment. We all got a different job to do and I got stuck with cleaning the girls changing room with Rin which wasn't that bad with her there. As we were cleaning something felt off with Rin which made me worried about her. She sighed and I started to worry more.

"Is everything okay Rin" I asked with a consoling tone of voice.

She looked at me from over her shoulder and her eyes looked like she was about to cry.

"No, I have been keeping a secret since I was very young and it's finally getting to me" she answered with a tear going down her cheek.

The always happy Rin was crying and it took me by surprise. She hadn't cried ever in front of me. She looked like she needed a hug so I went up behind her and put my hands around her shoulders.

"You can talk to me and the others from club" I sweetly whispered into her ear.

Rin turned around so she was facing me then began to cry into my chest while hugging me back. In my mind I had one thought going through it "the cleaning can wait." Rin stayed in my arms for a few minutes continuing to cry. When she started to calm down she let go of me then we separated. I was going to ask to explain but she spoke up before I could.

"Len and I have been keeping a secret since we were children" she while wiping her tears away from her cheeks.

"What is it" I asked with a very concerned expression on my face.

Rin looked down at the floor then sighed.

"I can't talk about it but people could find out" she answered then lifted her head up.

I was confused by what she was saying but I was willing to wait for her to clarify.

"Zatsune could you do me a favor" Rin asked with pleading eyes.

"Of course" I answered with a smile.

"Could you bring everyone from club up to the roof during lunch" she continued.

"Yes I can, I'll talk to Hatsune about it so she can help gather everyone" I said then went back to cleaning the changing room.

After a few seconds Rin went back to helping me clean. By the time we finished we had ten minutes left of class. We both walked out of the changing room and noticed that everyone was done with their tasks as well. I walked up to Hatsune then grabbed her arm to pull her off so I could talk to her. We went behind the changing room then I let go of her arm.

"I need your help gathering up everyone from club" I said.

Hatsune gave me a puzzled look then noticed that Rin was peeking her head out of the corner of the changing room.

"Why" she asked while still looking at Rin.

"Rin asked me to bring everyone to the roof during lunch" I answered hoping she wouldn't ask anymore question.

"I'll get on that, I'll get Kaito, Kamui, IA, and Luka and you can get Gumi and Akaito" she said while smiling.

"Sure thing" I said smiling back.

We hugged then went back to where everyone was. Akaito was waiting for me with a concerned look on his face. I smiled at him then pulled him a little ways away from everyone.

"Is everything alright" Akaito asked with a lot of concern in his voice.

"Yes, we are all just meeting on the roof for lunch" I said trying to reassure him.

The concern on his face went away then he smiled. As we were walking closer to the group the bell ran. Everyone ran back into the gym and grabbed their stuff then went to their next class.

Before History class I met up with Gumi to talk to her. She was sitting in her desk which was next to the window in the very back. When I went up to her desk she had a pair of headphones in her ears. I waved my hand in front of her face then she paused her music and pulled out her headphones.

"Hey Zatsune, can I help you with something" she asked while looking up at me.

"Yeah, all the club members are going to be meeting on the roof for lunch" I answered hoping she would go.

"Sure I'll be there" she said without pausing to think.

I was taken back by her fast answer so I paused for a minute. Since lunch was right after this period so we decided to walk to the roof together. When the bell rang I went to my desk and got my history book out.

When the bell rang to go I got up and Gumi and I went towards the roof. Shortly after we met up with everyone else then we headed to the roof. When we got to the door to the roof I opened it and all of us were shocked at what we saw. Len and Rin were hugging but that wasn't what shocked us, what shocked us was that they were kissing each other. We might not have known their relationship but this still shocked us.
