I'm so mean… but sososososooo sorry. I'm not making excuses. Thank you to 'anunexpectedjorney' whose review spurred me to action.

Hope this is ok,

SuperminionXD

P.S. I must warn you I have literally no experience riding a motorcycle, as a passenger or otherwise, so please forgive me if anything is wrong.

It was easier than I had expected to leave the Hotel without being noticed, but then I guess it was the middle of the day, so there weren't many people. The receptionist did give me an odd look, but Will gave her a nod and smile and she let us past. Once outside we headed towards a flashy-looking black Motorcycle. I frowned; when I'd seen him earlier his bike was blue and armoured, like him. There must be some trick behind it, I decided, so got on behind him without questioning. It was rather awkward, since I wasn't used to riding behind people and he was also much bigger than me: I had to grab the shoulders of his jacket to stay on, but somehow we got going.

I was right about there being a trick. We rode quickly along the street, before turning sharply into a narrow alley. As we raced through, the blue translucent armour seemed to melt on both the bike and the rider in front of me. I gripped the seat between my legs to stay on as I pulled off the hoodie and once again traded the glasses for my mask. My ponytail streamed out behind as I pulled off the cap and stuffed all the excess clothing between us so that it wouldn't fly away behind us. When we returned to the street we were fully transformed into Swift and the Defender (thought I still think his name seems kinda weird, what is he defending? A basketball hoop?).

It seemed no time at all before we pulled up beside the pre-mentioned convenience store. It seemed rather quiet. Too quiet (Wait did I honestly just think that? I sound like a gangster movie!). As soon as we slowed I hopped off the bike and landed in a squat on the pavement. As I did so there was a sudden commotion as several people ran screaming out the glass automatic doors. So much for quiet. Defender stopped in a curve, leaving a trail of rubber on the road, then also jumped off. As he did, the armour melted back into the bike, leaving it black once more. Huh, I had to ask him how that worked. I reached down to my belt to pull out my extendable staff… then promptly realised that it probably still lay on the floor of Jump City Savings and Investments. Oops…

Never mind, I would deal with that later. Instead I took out an explosive birdarang in each hand and stepped inside the door as in whooshed open sci-fi style. The Shop seemed like someone had taken it out of a horror movie. Even the lights flickered slightly. A pile of oranges rolled across the floor, a knife was embedded in one of them and stuck through it into the floor. The door gave another whoosh as Defender came in behind me. The lights flickered again and I heard a faint whimpering nearby. I scanned the area and quickly found the source of the sound: a boy around Flick's age wearing an Avengers T-shirt was hidden behind a tall metal basket containing chocolate bars which were apparently on offer. He clutched tightly onto a five year old girl, his hand clamped firmly over her mouth. Terror was clear on both their faces. I put on a reassuring smile as I approached.

"S-Swift?" the boy stuttered, looking surprised and hopeful despite his face being white with fear, he reminded me even more of Flick.

"Hey" I said softly, "You guys wanna get out of here?"

They both nodded shakily. The boy took his hand off the girls mouth and held it towards me.

"I want Mamma…" the girl whispered, tears brimming her eyes.

"It's ok, I'll get you…" I was cut off as I heard movement behind us. There was a loud thud and we were showered in chocolate. "RUN!"

The children obeyed as I whipped round to face Jacknife. His eyes were light with laughter. Anger filled me like a tide: how dare he find fun in hunting children!

"Hey! Over here! Fire at will!" I heard Defender yell from behind the villain, I had no time to be amused by his pun as I grabbed the two kids by their hands and shoved them quickly in the direction of the door. The girl still clung to her brother's Avengers shirt as they scuttled away. I let out a short breath and turned back to the fight.

"Stop ruining everything!" Jacknife growled at Will, his eyes now cold and mad. He threw several knives, but all glanced off the Hero's armour. The armour on his hand changed shape as it morphed out into a sword. Ok, his powers were cool. I really needed to get me some of those. He charged forwards, knives still ricocheting off him. Before the Villain had a chance to react, the blue blade knocked him backwards and pinned him down before morphing into a set of restraints, still attached to Defender's hand by a shaft of blue.

"That was anti-climactic…" I commented as I used a pair of handcuffs from by belt to serve as more permanent restraints. As I did so the blue armoury ones retracted back into Will's hand.

"Good work" he complimented.

"You kidding?" I retorted, glaring "That was all you; I barely got a look in!"

He shrugged modestly.

"So, what now?"

"Please! Let us simply…!"

"Raven asked us not to disturb her!"

"She could be weeping and…"

"I don't wanna bother her…" Robin and Starfire's voices echoed down the corridor to Raven's room.

"Ok, what's going on?" I asked in confusion, finding my brother was physically restraining the alien from knocking on the Empath's door.

"But…" Star was interrupted as Raven's door whooshed open of its own accord.

"Where have you guys been?" Rob exclaimed as not only Raven but also Cyborg and Beast Boy stepped out of the room. Wait, I thought no-one was allowed in Raven's room? That is so not fair! Also, why are they all ignoring me! I went somewhere too you know!

"Just getting to know each other" Cyborg said cheerfully, I narrowed my eyes suspiciously.

"Come friends, we shall prepare a new breakfast feast!" Star squealed in excitement.

"It's a bit late for breakfast, Star, maybe just some Herbal tea" BB shrugged, I narrowed my eyes further, what exactly had happened while I was away?

"Actually Breakfast sounds nice" Raven replied… smiling…. Ok this was getting weirder by the second…

"Who are you and what have you done with my Friends?" I accused, I was still ignored.

"Breakfast for Dinner, coming up!" BB announced and ran past me down the corridor.

"Oh no! I'm cooking this time! We're having real Eggs!" Cyborg yelled, running after him. Ok that was more normal, still...

"Hello, anyone? Do I exist?" I shouted at the ceiling, "Also do we have enough for three more?"

Ok, that was somewhat shorter than I had planned… but hey, at least I got it done! I feel really bad about leaving you guys in the dark for… what? 6 Months? I will try to get back to all my other stories too so keep a look out. Anyway, as an apology I shall give you this short bonus scene.

"THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER! Flick yelled excitedly, putting a forkful of egg and bacon into his mouth while clutching his new T-Communicator we had given him, "Even though you almost got killed…"

"I didn't that's the point" Psy grinned, sipping milk through a straw, her side still heavily bandaged.

"Stop ignoring me, People!" I complained, "What is going on?"

"I'm not ignoring you!" Flick grinned widely.

"Yes, but I am ignoring you" I snapped back, the boy's hyperness was getting a little annoying, I turned to Robin, "Seriously though, what happened while I was away?"

He shrugged.

"No idea"

"Helpful…"

Ok, I'm done now, told you it was short. Flick will just be an Honorary Titan, so we may see the trio in a while, but not in the next few chapters I think. That's all!

Kidding, I have another one for you…

I stared into the mirror in contempt. I was done with this hair! I pulled the band out of my braid and unravelled it. I had been pulled over, covered in goop and even almost stabbed because of it, so I decided it was high time I did something about it.

The scissors felt cold in my hands as I brought them towards the first dyed black lock. I didn't let them shake. I cut in line with my collar bone. The long strand fell to the floor while the rest sprang up into its old ringlets. I had almost forgotten it did that. As I worked my way round my hair began to look more like a wild cloud than its previously knotted mess. The new face in the mirror seemed more like me, perhaps the only reason I had let my hair grow so long was that I had wanted to get away from that, away from how I was in Gotham, with Batman.

Ok, definitely done this time, next chapter should be sooner rather than later, next episode is one I actually have ideas for.

Bye for now,

SuperminionXD
