Sometimes I get reviews on my stories, I don't know how these people found me but they did
And they take the time to read my story and leave a review telling me to update it
It's been nearly 5 years since I've updated this story and I cringed reading it again but for you guest reviewer I will complete it
And you're a guest, you should totally make an account and make your own stories
Previously on Penny for your thoughts:
Everyone's playing truth or dare until the rain stops because that's the only time Hoagie can fix the mind reader machine. And in the previous chapter Patton kissed Fanny because she thought he should.
On with the story
Fanny walked in small practiced steps on her way back to the room. She carried a tray of tall glasses of lemonade, one for each girl as well as a plate of cookies. With every step the tray wobbled even more as she felt her knees weaken.
When she reached the door to the room she took a deep breath before entering "Okay," she thought to herself, "One look at you and these girls will instantly know that Patton kissed you, so you can't be thinking about it!" she scolded herself "Boys are stoopid," she repeated over and over again
Once she was in the door all eyes were on her, Rachel, Kuki, Abby, stared at her silently. Fanny felt sweat drip down her face and her mind went blank for a moment.
"You okay girl?' abby asked.
"I um…." Fanny panicked. A loud crash of thunder boomed outside the window and it was all over. She couldn't stop herself from thinking about the kiss.
Abby, Kuki, and Rachel's mouths hung open. Fanny's face turned bright red.
"What?" Kuki gasped, "You and Patton?"
"I don't want to talk about it!" Fanny set the tray down in front of them before taking her seat. "What happened to Sonya?"
"Don't change the subject," Kuki laughed.
Fanny glared and Abby cleared her throat, "She left right after you, she's been quiet all night but Abby didn't read her thoughts …didn't want to be rude."
"Then why did you read mine!" Fanny exclaimed
"You looked like you were hiding something," Rachel spoke up.
Fanny crossed her arms angrily.
Meanwhile with the boys
"Go fish!" Wally exclaimed excitedly
"We are not playing Go Fish Wally," Hoagie rolled his eyes.
"We aren't?" Wally said surprised, "Then where the crud did I get these cards?" he said slamming the cards down on his bed.
"We're playing truth or dare… or at least we were…" Hoagie explained
"We're still playing that cruddy game?" Wally gasped with disgust
"Didn't I tell you to use pick up lines the rest of the night?" Hoagie asked.
"You did but I thought the game was over!"
"We're waiting for Lee," Patton said. "He went to the bathroom but it's been 10 minutes… what's taking him so long?"
Meanwhile
"Lee is that you?" Sonya said. She was standing in the well lit mission room of the treehouse
Lee walked full into the room. "Why are you hanging out here?"
"I don't know," Sonya lied. She thought "I don't want to hang out with the girls…"
"Why not?" Lee asked sitting beside her playing with his yo-yo
Sonya gasped, forgetting he could read minds, "Right oh. I don't know. I just… only came to hang out with…." She thought "You."
Lee blushed and turned away.
"Close your eyes," he said.
"Why?" she asked.
"Because when I tell you what I'm going to tell you, it's not going to be because you read my mind and it slipped out, it's going to be because I wanted to say it to you-face to face."
Sonya blushed and did as he said-because you have to be looking at the person to read their mind which is clearly stated in an earlier chapter.
She shut her eyes.
"I love you," Lee said. Sonya smiled. "I always have," he continued.
Sonya opened her eyes and kissed Lee.
meanwhile
"Well I guess we can always go on without him…" Nigel said.
"No!" Wally snapped, "I am so done with this game!"
"Wally," Hoagie said, "We're just having fun!"
"FUN?" Wally snapped, "You think this is-" Wally was interrupted by the sound of his watch beeping "I have to go," he said standing up.
"Go?" Hoagie asked, "Go where?"
Wally stood up. and he walked out of the room before Hoagie could read his mind.
"Hey come back!" hoagie called after him but Wally kept walking. Hoagie sighed. A second later and he turned to Nigel with a smile, "Wanna hear a joke?"
Nigel sighed "Um… maybe you should go after him?"
"you think?"
Meanwhile Wally poked his head into the girl's room quietly. Kuki saw him and smiled.
"Okay well bye!" Kuki sang standing up.
"Where you going girl?" Abby asked.
Kuki didn't answer but Abby swore she saw a shadow that looked just like wallabee
Abby followed Kuki into the hall but by the time she got there Kuki and Wally were long gone. And she was about to head back into the room when she saw Hoagie
"Hey numbuh 2," Abby said, "You see Kuki around here?"
"No but have you see Wally I…." Hoagie stopped talking
"You think they're together"
"How'd ya know?" Hoagie asked laughing at his own joke.
Abby rolled her eyes. She thought "Abby wonders why she loves-" but she stopped herself.
Hoagie stopped laughing. "What?"
"Abby didn't say anything," Abby blushed taking a step backwards towards the girl sleep over room
"You thought it though… what were going to think?" Hoagie asked.
"um…."
"Does she feel the same way?" Hoagie thought. Abby smirked.
"Yes," she thought.
Hoagie blushed and Abby kissed him.
Meanwhile
Wally and Kuki were outside, the rain was drizzling at this point and the thunder was a low boom in the distance. The sky was dark but getting lighter and you see as the morning sun was just about to rise.
"What did you want to give me Wally? And please tell me you're done with the pick up lines," Kuki said
"Yeah the cruddy games over," Wally said, "And I wanted to give you um,..." he hesistated for a moment before kissing her.
Meanwhile
Hoagie got back to Wally's room where he found Wally was still missing and Lee still hadn't returned.
"Games over," Hoagie stated.
"What?' Nigel asked.
"I feel we all got what we wanted…" Hoagie smirked still happy from the kiss. "Well except for you Numbuh one."
"What?" Nigel asked.
Hoagie tried to read Nigel's thoughts but couldn't. he stared at him for a whole minute without speaking "Are you just thinking about nothing or OH MY GOODNESS" he exclaimed.
Patton looked up from texting Fanny, "What?"
"I can't read Nigel's thoughts!" Hoagie stood up and ran to a window, "It stopped raining!"
Hoagie and the guys ran out of the room, he called for everyone to meet him in the living room. All the girls, Kuki and Wally and Lee and Sonya followed
Hoagie exclaimed loudly to everyone "Okay so the rain has stopped and it's morning!" he said, "we can't read thoughts anymore!" he said and everyone cheered.
"But it could start again and we need people to get my machine and bring it back here ASAP," Hoagie explained, "I think Nigel and Rachel should go cause they're the only people who didn't get together and were supposed to"
"What?" they both gasped. "That's insane"
Then they looked around them and saw the various couples holding hands and blushing.
"We're not supposed to be together," Nigel insisted.
"So you don't want to go with her?" Hoagie asked. Nigel turned to Rachel, who was blushing.
"I um…." Nigel blushed too.
Rachel took his hand in hers and they walked out the front door. Everyone cheered.
And once the machine was brought back to them they all prompty destroyed with baseball bats to ensure they would never have to endure the torture again.
Okay it is nearly 4am now and I am tired.
I just wanted to finish off this story and all the pairings in it.
This is the end of the story
I wrote … well I started this story five years ago and I will be honest I have no idea what Wally promised to give Kuki in chapter five or whatever. I made it a kiss, who knows what my 13 year old self was thinking
I semi recently (two years ago) finished the story 'Why Hoagie shouldn't try to make time machines' because someone left a review asking me to. so if you want to check that one out I kinda like that one, I'm sure I'd cringe reading it now but it wasn't too bad so check it out if you want
Or I have like 64 other stories, complete or some not
Check em out if you want
Later gator
I'm tired sorry
