Disclaimer: I do not own Soul Eater
I woke up to the bright sunlight filtering through my window. I felt like there was something I was forgetting until I find Soul sleeping on the floor outside my door. Yup, that was it!
I kicked him in the head to wake him up and slam my door shut, and get dressed for this horrendous day.
I let out a sigh, "This is gonna be awkward..."
I walk to our small kitchen and find Soul sipping on a mug of hot cocoa.
"Maka we really need to talk about what happened..." He says bluntly.
"Whatever do you mean my dear, Soul.?" I asked innocently.
"...so not cool, Maka! You said you hated me...you know...before that happened." He says nervously.
"Oh that. I don't think we really need to talk about that anymore..." I say as I hastily make my escape back to my room.
Or so I planned, but Soul apparently had other plans.
"Maka!" He whines while grabbing my wrist, "Blackstar also told me something else. This isn't easy to say, but you have to listen to me."
"What. Did. Blackstar. Tell. You?" I asked carefully.
"...He told me you were harming yourself..." Soul almost whispered.
"What!?" How dare he. I am going to kill him! "I did not cut myself, Soul!"
"Maka, I've seen the scars, so just don't lie to me."'Soul insists.
"I AM NOT LYING TO YOU SOUL EATER! YOUR PATHETIC EXCUSE OF A GIRLFRIEND DID THIS, BECAUSE SHE SAW ME AS A THREAT TO YOUR TWISTED LOVE!" I finally yell at him.
"Maka..." Soul whispers. But, I have had enough of his crap.
"Fine Soul, you want me to cut myself so bad!? Here!" I say as I pick up a knife and plunge it into my hand before he can stop me.
"MAKA?!" The jerk screams.
"Believe me now?" I ask sarcastically.
"Sure Maka, but I need to call Stein immediately! This is so not cool!"
"Hmph!"
"Do I even want to know?" Professor Stein asks after fixing Maka's hand.
"Umm well you see-" Soul scrambles out trying to think of a good enough excuse.
"We had an argument while I was cooking, and I accidentally stabbed my hand with a knife." I said smoothly.
"Ok then...I don't really care to know. You dragged me away from my dissecting." Stein called as he walked out the door.
"Maka?" Soul asks unsure of whether to talk or not.
"Hmmm?" I respond cheerily, letting the painkillers P ores or Stein gave me do their job.
"I'm sorry...I'll talk to Cassie about this first thing Monday morning."
Crap! That's the last thing I wanted Soul to do...
Sorry it took so long to update, but at least I did! I've decided that this will be the only time Maka with hurt herself with a knife, unlike what she did in the original book. But, don't worry I'll be sure to make her suffer in other ways!
