Hi everyone!

So another chapter of The Vikings! How long did this chapter take?! I'm so sorry! Anyway this is a good Christmas Eve present huh? Your welcome! :)

I think this chapter is mainly about Hiccup and Jack.

Enjoy!

The next morning,Jack and the family continued their quest. However…..Jack and Stoick seemed to be fighting..same with Gobber and Fishlegs while Val was trying to keep Toothless back from attacking them. Hiccup however, was lost in his own little world….He kept thinking about the night before, Jack's story. He wanted to know how the little fishbone flew to tomorrow. He finally got to courage to ask Jack about the story.

"Hey, um, Jack?" he asked, poking his nose. Jack looked at him, making him blush. "Do you have a minute? How did the little fishbone fly?" he asked. Jack frowned. "I only share when Im outside the log." he said "Im funny that way." Hiccup smirked, cracking his knuckles. "Leave this to me." he said. Jack widened his eyes and blushed.

"Hey, Fishlegs, you have a spider on your face!" Hiccup screamed. Fishlegs screamed. "WHERE, WHERE!?" Hiccup's answer was a punch to the face. Fishlegs was knocked back into Stoick, freeing Jack from his clutches. Stoick turned around and glared at his eldest. All Hiccup could do was shrug and say "Oops." Stoick turned around to see Jack out of the log, but he was now laying on a frozen lake. Jack pushed himself up with his elbows and looked down at the lake. He gulped.

Stoick growled and tried to chase after Jack. However, he slipped on the ice and it led him back to the family. Hiccup walked forward but his dad stopped him. "Hiccup stop, it dangerous." Hiccup growled. "Dad, you say that about everything!" He started walking again. Jack stood up and yelled at him from across the lake.

"Careful!" He yelled. "Really? Okay!" Hiccup said steeping away from the lake. Stoick had his jaw open. He growled at Jack, but he didn't notice.

"Do not walk on that lake!" He said to the rest if the family. He shivered. Fishlegs pulled a confused face on. "You mean this lake?" He asked starting to walk on it before slipping and falling flat on his face. "…Ow…" he said. "Do not walk on that lake…" Gobber rolled his eyes. "Step aside, girl." he said pushing Fishlegs aside and stepping on the lake, before slipping himself. "Hello? Nobody's listening! No one is listening!" Stoick widened his eyes and slapped a hand to his face, shaking his head. At this point everyone except Hiccup were walking and slipping on the lake. Stoick tried helping them but it didn't work. Hiccup sighed and looked down at his feet. Jack sighed and walked over to them.

"I can help you, but we're going to have to make a few changes around here." Jack said. The family stopped trying to walk and started listening to Jack.

"The log ride is over" He said. Seriousness in his voice. Stoick growled but had a face that looked defeated. "Okay then Jack. Now what?" Stoick said. Jack just smiled and exchanged looks with Baby Tooth.

Jack smiled. "Ok!" Jack said as he looked at the lake. He decided that the family was going to learn how to skate across the lake. He taught Stoick first, so that way he could teach the others while he taught Hiccup. Stoick obeyed but still didn't think it was a good idea. He decided that he would keep an eye on Jack when he was with Hiccup. Jack looked over at Hiccup. He smiled and reached out for his hands. Hiccup however, frowned and hesitated. "What are you doing? He asked." Jacks smile fell, but he tried again. When Hiccup hesitated again, he looked up at him. "Just trust me." He said. Hiccup looked at him. He raised his hands shakily, but took Jack's hands. Jack looked up at him and gave him a small smile.

Jack walked backwards onto the lake and slowly led hiccup across. Jack noticed that Hiccup was a little scared. He squeezed his hands lightly, to tell him that he would be ok. Hiccup slipped a few times and did a few gasps when he did, but when he did, Jack would tell him to look at him to get his mind off of the ice, or he would say everything would be ok.

Hiccup started to notice, that with every step, Jack started to get quieter. He decided to ask.

"Whats wrong?"

Jack looked at him and sighed. "Its just….I don't really like water…especially when its frozen." Hiccup pulled a confused face. "Why?" He asked. Jack looked away. Hiccup knew that Jack wasn't ready to tell him that yet. Hiccup just sighed. "Tell me later?" Jack nodded and smiled a bit.

It was at that moment Hiccup slipped and fell onto Jack. Jack groaned from the pain. "You're really heavy…" he said. Hiccup smiled. "Really? Thank You!" He said. Stoick had turned around and noticed his son on Jack. He panicked and went over to them.

"Hey, wait! Whoa!" He said. He pulled Hiccup off Jack. Jack stood up and was greeting with Stoick in his face. He was clearly angry. "WOAH!" He said. It scared Jack. He jumped back and tried to act normal. "Okay, he's up. We're good. I'm good." he said.

Stoick nodded and pulled a smile at his family. "Let's get to that mountain!" He said. The family started walking across the lake. Some of them slipped, but got back up. Jack and hiccup were the last to cross. "Hey Jack?" He asked. Jack looked at him. "Yeah?" "How did the fishbone fly?" He asked almost tripping Jack caught him in time. Jack laughed. "He jumped on the sun and rode it to Tomorrow." he said. Looking ahead of them. Hiccup sighed happily. Stoick just rolled his eyes as they kept going.

After they had passed the lake, the family continued across to get to the mountain. Stoick stopped them though when he saw a huge jungle in front of them that looked to be a maze. He didn't know what to do. But Jack did. He pulled out a ton of shells and gave them to each family member.

"Here you go."

"Thanks!"

"One for you."

"Thank You."

"And this one's for you.." Jack said as he handed Stoick a shell. The family was so excited that they blew their shells, creating a really REALLY loud noise. Stoick blocked his ears as Jack smirked. "Okay. Okay. That's enough!" he screamed, making the family stop. "I don't see why the kids need their own shells." he said. Jack rolled his eyes. "So if anyone gets in trouble, we can call the others." he said holding his shell up. "Wait, you're saying we should split up?" Stoick laughed. "We can try more paths at once. It's the fastest way through!" Jack argued. "We stick together. Your way isn't safe." "They can handle it." "We can do it Dad." Hiccup said, going over to Jack. "No, no, no, no, no. Its my job to keep you safe. Im still in charge, and we are not splitting up." he said.

Hiccup smirked and started nuzzling up to Jack. This made the older male blush and Stoick growl.

"Except for you two." He said, pushing Jack and Hiccup away from each other.

"And that's final."

"Hello? Hello? Is everyone all right?" Stoick asked.

Before the family could go in, the mountain they were standing on pushed them into the sky and had gotten them lost in different areas. Gobber was with Val and Toothless, while Stoick, Jack, Hiccup and Fishlegs were by themselves.

"We're okay, Stoick!" Val tried to reassure him.

"Dad? I'm freaking out a little bit. Just tell me what to do. Just what do I do? What do I do right now? "Fishlegs said. "Stay where you are! I'll find you." He said.

"No! Too slow. Everybody, keep moving forward and we'll get out." Jack said. Stoick sighed and nodded. There was gonna be no way out of this. "Yeah. Okay. Remember, never not be afraid." He told the family, but mainly Fishlegs. "You can do this!" Jack added.

"It's gonna be okay. It's gonna be okay." Fishlegs talked to himself. "I'm gonna pass out…." he said.

Meanwhile, Val and Gobber where with their own problems. "Toothless! Toothless!" Val called out for her son as he chased after a butterfly.

Hiccup however, was enjoying his time away from his family. he ran into a new part of the maze with streams and flowers flowing everywhere. He went over to the stream and looked in his reflection before a flower landed and covered it. He picked up the flower and giggled. Little did he know that Jack was the one who threw the flower at him and was hiding and watching. Jack smiled as the auburn haired boy got closer to where he was hiding. He looked over at baby tooth. "Give me another one." he whispered to her. "You dropped these!" Hiccup said as he appeared out of no where. Jack jumped and fell over. Hiccup just giggled as he put the flower on jacks mouth and skipped away slowly. Jack blew the flower of with his mouth and smiled goofily.

He got up and followed Hiccup to the exit. He ran over to Hiccup who was giggling at him. Jack smiled. He had never felt this way before. He thought he liked girls. Was he…was he turning gay for Hiccup? Jack's smile fell. He grabbed Hiccup's hand. Hiccup stopped giggling and looked up at Jack. He was still smiling. "Come with me." Jack said. Hiccup's smile fell. But he was still happy. Their faces got closer and closer before…

"Hey guys look! I got a new pet!" the boys looked to see that Fishlegs, did indeed have a new pet. It appeared to be a girl Gronkle. According to Jack of course. Hiccup smiled at his brother. "Where did you find her?" Jack asked. "Well…I was walking and I found her rolling in some mud. I thought she was a monster so I threw my shell at her, but she gave it back to me." He said proudly.

Val and Gobber came out just seconds later.

"Mom, Gobber!" Hiccup said. Relieved they were ok. A noise started echoing throughout the maze. "Stoick? I'll go get him." She said. She put toothless down and went in to go get him.

When Val found Stoick, she led him to where the others were. They were staying in up in a tree for the night.

Fishlegs was really enjoying his new pet. "Oh, good girl Who's my good girl? You are. Yes, you are. Look at you. You need a name? You want a name? I'm gonna call you Meatlug." He said. "Can you do tricks? Roll over. Come on, Meatlug Roll over." he said. Meatlug dragon obeyed and rolled over. But, she rolled over the edge of the tree and fell. Fishlegs looked over at the edge. "Good girl, Meatlug!" He said. Meanwhile Gobber was telling Toothless and Hiccup some stories while Jack watched from a ledge.

Hiccup got up and went outside to get some fresh air. From where he was, he could hear his parents arguing.

"Vikings, get down here!" He heard Stoick say.

"Stoick, they're okay. Jack's with them." Val said.

"Oh, Jack's with them. Oh, okay. Well, thank you, thank you for bringing me that interesting Jack update." Hiccup rolled his eyes. Sarcasm.

"Oh, okay. I'm gonna go up..and why don't you join us when you stop being a big drag!" She said. Hiccup then knew it was time to go back inside. He looked over to where Jack was and went up. "

"And then Thork said: "Know it, I drew it." Gobber said. Toothless and Fishlegs laughed, Jack laughed from above as well. "Hey you.." he turned around and saw Hiccup smiling at him. He smiled back and patted the spot next to him. Hiccup sat down.

"So…" Hiccup started.

"So…" Jack said as well.

"Earlier at the lake you told me you didn't like water, or ice or anything…why?" Hiccup asked looking over at Jack. Jack sighed. He knew Hiccup was going to ask sooner or later.

"Well….earlier in my life…I had a family. I had a little sister too. We went on wild, crazy adventures and stuff. But one day we went ice skating and the ice was cracking and….I tried to…" Hiccup noticed Jack getting softer in every word he said. "It was too late though…" He said tears rolling down his face. Hiccup looked at him and got closer to him. He grabbed his hand stroking the back of it with his thumb.

"It wasn't your fault…" he managed to say. Jack looked at him and smiled. Jack leaned towards him and placed his head on his shoulder. Hiccup smiled. Jack got up. "I wanna show you something." He said. Hiccup grabbed the rest of the family and followed Jack.

Meanwhile, Stoick started to notice it was getting quieter. He started climbing up the tree to them. Jack helped them up the tree. When he knew the time was right, he blew the torch he was holding out. Millions of stars surrounded them in the sky. well, they didn't know that they were stars. "More suns in the sky than you can count…" Fishlegs gasped.

"Every sun that crosses our sky comes to rest up there.." Jack told them. "Tomorrow…" Hiccup said. Jack nodded. "Thats where we'll be safe.." He added. "I'm going with Jack.." Hiccup said. Little did they know, was that Stoick was hiding underneath them hearing every word they said. "No, not Hiccup…" He whispered to himself. Hiccup looked at Val. "Come with us." He told her. She smiled but.. "I can't go without Stoick." She said.

"Well, that makes one of us. Count me in!" Gobber smiled. Val rolled her eyes. "Really Dad? Now?" She said. "Stoick has no idea how to protect us. In fact, he has no ideas at all!" he said. "No. That's not true. What about that one time he.. uh.. He.." Val tried to argue back, but had no comeback. "Oh, face it. If he actually had an idea of his own, I'd have, I'd have a heart attack and die!" Gobber said

Stoick smiled.
