Nothing could prepare Nora for the rush of emotions she was feeling as she paced around the now empty trainer's room. She had been alone for the past ten minutes, ever since a stage-hand had come to take Doctor Sampson away for 'urgent' matters, involving the Authority. She didn't even want to know why the old man was called away, the only thing she was fretting about was the fact Dean Ambrose was making his way towards her, just hours after she rejected his advances. She had seen the small promo the Shield had cut just after the match they had lost, she had looked on like everyone else in the building as Dean and Roman got into about Roman accidently spearing him, while Dean gripped his mid-section in pain. She knew without a doubt that he would be stopping by and she wished to any God up there that Doctor Sampson hadn't been called away so he could deal with Dean instead of her. Goodness knows she would probably crumble into a blubbering mess in front of him.

Nora's pacing increased as she heard footsteps rush past the open door to the trainer's room. It wasn't uncommon to have stage-hands, technicians and other workers rush by, but any sound was setting Nora off, because the rush of feet that ran by the trainer's room had only been a stage-hand, but it could have been Dean and that set Nora on edge. She had no idea where he was, it had been minutes since his promo ended and the arena wasn't that big. Nora felt like a wounded animal being stalked by its prey as she waited on a bundle of nerves and anticipation. She had never felt so nervous in her whole life, not even when she got the call for her interview for the WWE. She had no idea how he was going to react, did he hate her now? Was he going to ridicule her and crush her spirit like she had done to him? She certainly hoped he was one of those guys that took a knock back and brushed it off. As annoying as they could be, she hoped for nothing more whenever Dean got around to her.

When her back started to cramp a little she was finally forced to take a seat and wait for him to come to her. She winced as she rubbed her slightly aching neck and thought about how Dean must have been feeling the week when she had his hoodie and when he was waiting for her answer. It wasn't fun, not having the ball in your own court and she felt a shower of guilt wash through her as she waited. She felt the guilt about rejecting Dean's advances and the pained look that shot through his face as she retreated from catering, she felt guilty about not getting back to him quicker now that she knew what it felt like to wait for the person you wanted to see most in the world come to you- wait what? The person she wanted to see most in the world? Where the hell did that come from? You rejected him Nora! That still didn't stop the feelings and emotions she carried for him.

It had been almost a month from the first time she talked to him and to be honest she remembered feeling giddy and happy that she had talked to him. While their conversation might not have been the best, she still enjoyed talking to him. He made her feel comfortable and assured in herself, something she rarely felt when talking to new people, but she did remember feeling like that with him. It was odd how comfortable she felt with him, even just from the two short conversations they had, she felt like she could be herself around him and not be judged, maybe it was because he, himself was crazy and was often judged by others. Then again, maybe he was judging her, like she was judging him based off the 'crazy' stories she heard around the locker room about him. It was impossible to ignore some of the stories that were told about him and the crazy things he got up to, but being honest with herself, the majority of those stories she heard scared her a little and the thought of a man like that, was interested in the likes of her frighten her beyond her wits. She still couldn't stop herself seeing him in a different light, a different light than the one that everyone placed on him. When he had been in her company, she didn't see crazy or insane, she just sees a regular guy. A regular, decent guy. That she had rejected.

Nora sighed as she thought about why she had rejected Dean's advances at getting to know her better. She was scared. It had been a long time since any guy had shown any sort of interest in her, besides the cat calls and whistles every now and again; she didn't really go out of her way to talk to men that often. The two relationships she had been in before had started off with the guys coming up to her, first in her college library and the second time in her local café, both times she had her head buried in books. Neither of those relationships lasted very long, considering she had to end her last relationship because she had got the job with the WWE over a year ago. Ever since that she hadn't really been close to any males, except Punk and whoever Doctor Sampson tried to get her to talk to, which to her felt like the entire male roaster.

Nora rolled her eyes as she thought about the old man and his strange ways. She couldn't help but smile as she thought of him, he was as sweet as they came and a total gentleman. Nora was happy she got the chance to work under his wing and take in everything he knew with her own additional information. Doctor Sampson was a legend upon legends within the company and he had seen his fair share of wrestlers and their bumps and bruises. In a way, Nora would be sad to see him go, he was the easiest and funniest man to work with and she felt bad about taken over his job when he retired in less than three months. Everyone around here loved the old Doctor, what would they think of her? A young twenty-five year old taking the place of a beloved old man when there was plenty of officials and trainers that would have been more than capable of taking over when the old man retired, but for some strange reason the higher powers saw her fit to take over and become the official Doctor of the WWE, not just a trainer or an official, but an actual sports Doctor. She was finally becoming what her Degree said she would be.

The squabbling between two people some ways up the hall made Nora's eye brow twitched and rise as she tried to pin-point the voices she was hearing, echoing down the hall into her open room. Briefly, she could hear the tail-end of someone getting chewed out for being a 'pussy' and then someone else jumped to defend themselves. Nora stood up from where she had been sitting and edged closer to the open door, trying to hear who it was that was making so much noise in the hallway. The closer she got to the door the more she realised she was listening in on a conversation between the Shield as she heard a confused voice ask about what was going on and why Dean wouldn't go into the trainer's room. DEAN! Oh no! She so wasn't ready for this! Nora backed up from the open door as she heard footsteps approaching, rather quickly mind you. She barely got two steps away from the door before all three members were standing in the doorway, holding up an injured Dean. Despite being injured, all three of them smirked that evil smirk that made Nora quiver and quake in her worn-out boots as she stumbled backwards.

"We got something for you Doc." Roman's deep voice shattered any remaining composure she had left and she let out a shaky sigh as she glanced over at Dean.

At Seth's raised eyebrow and curious gaze, she gestured for the big men to put Dean on the black, cushioned table and she finally found her voice, though it reflected her current state as it shook slightly when she said "You can help him over to the table."

The two men moved quickly while Dean offered little help to them as he let them carry his weight, probably as pay back to Roman who had speared him in the first place. When Dean was sitting up on the table, his stable mates stood back and abandon him and Nora as quickly as they could.

"Hope you'll excuse us, Doctors make me anxious and we need to clean up." Seth explained quickly as he and Roman smirked and ran from the room. Nora watched with wide, shocked green eyes as she watched Seth and Roman run from the room like it was on fire. CRAP! Now she was alone with Ambrose with no hope of any distractions.

Dean at least had the decency to lower his head and shake his quickly drying fair locks. Nora swallowed the lump in her throat and out of nervousness she cracked her knuckles and wringed her fingers together as she moved to gather some tape and bandages for Dean's now doubt aching ribs. She was thankful this arena's rooms were bigger than the last, so she at least had a chance to breathe before she got infected with the smell of Irish soap and mint that always seemed to linger around him. When Nora turned around Dean's shoulders were hunched and he looked a little worse for wear as he tried to breathe.

"Take off your vest." Nora commanded quietly as she manoeuvred back over to where Dean was sitting with the bandages and tape in hand. She could see the famous smirk already on his face before she stood in front of him. The only thing she was waiting for now was some snide comment. He still hadn't spoken a word to her since coming into the room and that set Nora on edge. Dean had never kept any sly remarks to himself, not as long as she had been in his presence anyway. She always heard him make small, annoying, sometimes funny, but sexual comments to anyone he could get to listen. She was surprised when all she heard was a sharp laugh from Dean and nothing else but that stupid smirk plastered on his face. It was almost like he was dying to say something, but he wouldn't.

She watched the smirk fall off his face as he lifted up his arm and pulled his vest up with the other. Nora sighed as she watched him struggle while trying not to hurt himself even further. She gently took the skin-tight material out of his hand and pulled it quickly over his head, messing up his already messed hair even further. She glanced down quickly at the sight of his bare chest and the muscles that moved with his every breath and she let out a small sigh. He truly was perfection. And you turned him down Nora thought sadly as she pushed his shoulder lightly to make him lie down on the cushioned table. She turned around quickly and snapped on some yellow surgical gloves and moved her hands skilfully over his redden abdomen.

She listened as he hissed when she pressed down on an obviously sore spot and her brow rose. He was taking this better than any other Superstar that had come in before after they got their ass handed to them by Roman and his lethal spear. She hid her shock well as she continued to press around his ribs and make mental notes of all the sore spots she found, then again she shouldn't be so shocked about him handling pain well when he used to wrestle in CZW. Punk had told her about some of the stunts they performed down there with barbed wire, tables, pins and glass. Some of the stuff made her shudder and she was grateful that WWE was a PG- show; she didn't think she had the personality to hack it down there. Not that she was afraid of a bit of blood, she could handle blood just fine, but people willing to just throw themselves into such dangerous situation freaked her out. She was way too quiet and shy to even imagine life down there.

"Well I don't think there's anything broken or fractured, but your ribs are probably very bruised and they'll be sore for a couple of days, so just take it easy for a while 'k?" Nora spoke quietly as Dean sat up after she tapped his shoulder letting him know that she was done with her examination. With a bit of struggle Dean managed to make it up on his own as Nora started wrapping his side with the tight white gauze that helped him breathe a little easier without so much pressure on his ribs now.

Dean watched with a gaze looked as Nora stood before him rapping the bandage around his middle section. God, she was so beautiful. Half way through the night she must have taken down her hair because now it flowed freely in long straight lines that caressed her face and contrasted with her startling green eyes just right. Her face was void of any make-up except for a small line of eyeliner that outlined her eyes and a coat of lip gloss that made her already plump lips look even more desirable to him. He wondered what type of lip gloss she used. Was it that fruity shit that always left an after taste or a natural brand? She seemed more like the natural brand kind of girl. Simple but nice. He couldn't stop staring at her lips as she worked quickly on his aching ribs.

He could have killed Roman for that stunt in the ring. He knew damn well it wasn't anything to do with Punk that made Roman spear him, it was stupid Roman's chance to play stupid cupid again. Now that he was in on Dean's crush on Nora, any chance he got he'd try to play cupid. Should have kept my mouth shut. Dean chastised himself as Nora hit a particular sensitive spot. Look at him now, no words to say to Nora and busted up ribs to boot!

"Sorry." Nora whispered softly as she got to the end of the bandage and reached for the tape to secure it. The close proximity to Dean was making her more clumsily than usual as her hands shook lightly as she finished the last touches of wrapping Dean's ribs.

"All done." Nora stepped back from Dean but stopped as soon as Dean's rough hand caught her small wrist in his huge hand. The sparks and electricity that ran through their connected skin made them both glance at each other as striking blue eyes met vivid green. Nora's eyes were wide in surprise against Dean's casual look. He knew what he was doing; he knew she could feel everything that he was feeling. It was the first time that Nora ever fully felt sparks explode from just the touch of someone else on her skin; it was something she had only ever read about in fantasy love stories or romance novels. She never thought for one second that it could actually happen in real life, that you could really feel those sparks. She gasped as Dean tighten his grip on wrist before pulling her closer to him, she was so close to him she could smell the sweat radiating off of him from his match and a faint hint of mint lingered around him, more than likely from his hair. She was so close she could feel her breath become one with his as they stood staring at each other in silence. She could feel the muscles in his legs twitching from where she was pressed in between and to be quite honest she enjoyed it.

Dean broke the silence that fell around them with his rough voice "I know you feel this." Dean squeezed her wrist with emphasis as Nora wen to object. She couldn't let him know she had feelings for him. "Don't try and lie to me Nora. You feel it just as much as I do." The way his rough, cores voice spoke her name made Nora's knees tremble as she locked her eyes with his completely.

"Tell me why." Nora whispered as she stared determinedly at him. She wanted- no- needed to know why he was so interested in her.

"I should be asking you that. After all, you are the one who rejected me." Dean's voice dropped to the same quiet whisper that Nora's voice was at. "Why'd you turn me away, Nora?" Nora dropped her gaze, feeling slightly intimidated by his husky voice and question. But still Dean continued, "I am too crazy for you? Hmm? Or is it Punk? Are you too in-love with him to notice anyone else?"

"I'm not in-love with Phil. He has a girlfriend and he's not my type." Nora bit back in irritation as she pulled her wrist free from Dean's grasp, but didn't move herself out of his personal space or his legs.

"So what is your type? All smiles and laughs? Or the perfect 2.5 husband with the flashy car? Cause you strike me as the type Nora. The pompous, stuck- up and insolent asshole kind. Nobody else good enough but Prince Charming?" Dean sneered in her face making Nora back up slightly as she glared at him.

"If anyone is a pretentious and a pompous asshole it's you." Nora poked her gloved finger at Dean's bare chest as she glared ferociously at him, her green eyes ablaze.

Dean laughed smugly in her face as if agreeing with what she had just said. "Well then, maybe I'm your kind of guy."

Nora re-acted quickly as she spit back a response "I never confirmed to your stupid assumptions! I rejected you because I'm scared." Startled by the words that slipped out of her mouth, Nora tried to back away from him, but Dean clamped his legs down on Nora's waist and hips so she couldn't go far.

"Let me go!" Nora struggled in his grip as she tried to free himself from his strong thighs.

"Not until you tell me why you're scared."

"Dean, let me-" Nora tried again to move away from Dean but his grip just got tighter and tighter till the point it almost got uncomfortable.

"Tell me." Dean growled in a husky voice, making Nora blink in shock at his demanding tone.

Nora bit down hard on her lower lip as she stared at the intensity of Dean's stare on her. She couldn't tell him. He would surely laugh at her and either confirm her suspicions or take a hike. Either way he would be running for the hills. Nora sighed as she felt Dean's grip loosen slightly to the point where she could feel the blood rush back to her hips again. He trusted her not to run and to tell him the truth; she should at least give him the same courtesy.

"I'm scared this is all one big joke." There. It was finally out and Nora couldn't have felt more foolish, her cheeks flamed in embarrassment as she lowered her eyes from his. After a few minutes of silence, Nora dared a glance up at Dean to see a look of understanding but shock was lined there too. Dean met her eyes brefily and she looked away out of guilt at what she saw there.

"Do you really think that low of me? That I'd fuck around with your feelings that way? I may be an asshole, but I'm not that big of an asshole to fuck with someone's head like that." The grip on Dean's loosened all the way and she was free to move, but she didn't budge.

"I didn't me-"

"You meant it exactly like that." Dean snapped and purposely pushed Nora out of the way, so he could get off the table.

"No I didn't. In case you haven't noticed, I'm not exactly the most attractive girl around here."

"So, you thought I'd just ask you out to feed you? Naah, fuck this shit." Dean plucked his vest up and stood to his full height and began to walk towards the door.

"So why did you ask me out? Huh? Some sick fantasy you have?" Nora eyes narrowed as Dean whipped around and stalked dangerously close to her.

"Believe it or not, but I actually do like you. I asked you out because I like you!" Dean stressed as he looked into Nora's startled green eyes. "Obviously the feeling isn't mutual if you think I'm capable of doing something so cruel and childish."

Nora was actually frightened from the crazy look in Dean's blue eyes, he looked crazy, like he did when he was out in the ring. "Y-you never g-g-ave me r-reason to t-think otherwise." Nora's voice broke and she was stuttering like a two year old.

"Are you frightened of me Nora?" Dean's husky voice dropped low as he looked into Nora's piercing green eyes.

"N-n-no." Nora's voice was shaking the closer he got to her face. They were so close their noses were brushing.

"That's not what I think. I think you're afraid of everyone and everything that isn't in your comfort zone. I think you're frightened of new things, experiences and feelings. I know you feel what I feel Nora, so why not give it a shot?" Dean whispered lowly to her making Nora's eyes shut.

"Look at me." Dean commanded softly as he held Nora's chin in his rough hands. Nora's eyes snapped opened at his touch and he gazed adoringly into her bright eyes. "I'm about to do something and I don't want you to run away, ok?"

The back of Dean's hand ran lovingly over Nora's rounded cheeks and Nora stood there nodding dumbly to answer his question. He was so close. So close and bare chested. Nora's eye shut again when his forehead touched hers lightly and then slowly his nose brushed against her own. Her breathing increase and her rising chest hit Dean's bare one as the idly hand that hung by his side, reached up and grabbed Nora's, intertwining and grasping their fingers together. The feeling of sparks erupting inside her again made Nora gasped slightly and move closer to Dean, her eyes still closed and her forehead still pressed close to his. She could smell mint from his breath, so the mint didn't come from his hair. She could feel herself relaxing in his grip as his thumb brushed over her knuckles repeatedly and his other hand cupped her jaw expertly. Was he going to kiss her?

Dean himself kept his eyes opened as she watched Nora's every reaction and movement to the things he was doing to her. So far she was okay with him touching her and holding her hand, how far was he willing to go with this? He didn't know. But one glance at her moisturised lips had Dean thinking again. The sweet smell of coconut and vanilla drifted from her hair to his nose. It was such a Nora smell. Simple but sweet. Again, his eyes drifted back to Nora's lips and the thought he had earlier about which brand of lip gloss she wore. Should he test the theory? Dean's lips brushed softly against Nora's soft ones, just the tiniest touch set him alit. He could feel a burning desire building inside him to just crush his lips to hers but somehow he knew that would scare her off. It wasn't less than five minutes before when she was stuttering in front of him. Dean heard her sigh softly as she backed away from him so that their lips were longer touching but their nose were still touching.

Green met blue as they gazed into each other's eyes. It didn't requester in Nora's mind that she had just kissed Dean Ambrose, as light as a kiss could be. It was like the flutter of a feather, light and soft. Nora was so content in his arms and the fact that his thumb didn't stop brushing against her knuckles reassured her in some way. Just as she was leaning back from him, someone cleared their throat in an obnoxious way, alerting them to someone else's presences in the room. The haze that had fallen over them was gone and embarrassment kicked in, in full gear as Nora's face lit up like a Christmas star. The separated quickly and Dean cleared his throat as he looked at one of the twins that Nora was friends with from the make-up department.

"Lisa." Nora sounded flustered and nervous as she set her eyes on her friend, while Lisa's eyes set upon their still joined hands. Quickly, Nora dropped Dean's hand as if it burned her and Dean shuffled beside her.

Without embarrassing Nora too much, Dean quickly picked up his vest and murmured a quick bye to Nora as he brushed past the blonde woman that was grin from ear to ear at him and Nora. He stood silently beside the wall to the trainer's room as he listened to the twin squeal at Nora, making him smirk. Oh yeah, his plans were back in action.

Hey guys! Another chapter for you faithful readers, if your still out there that is lol. What did you think? Too much too soon? I know I said their story was going to be a long one but this just feels right and it wasn't like it was a full on kiss, just a slight taste at what's to come next ;) Betcha didn't see that coming, right? Anyhow, I was thinking of making this story 'M' rated soon because I do use a lot of swear words and things will be moving in 'that' direction in a bit, so I'll let you all know just when the 'M' starts but I'm hoping its not for a bit yet.

Many thanks to my two reviewers on the last chapter; LeaMarie F. Metallium and 1 Crazy Brunette Goddess. It was very much appreciated, especially 1 Crazy Brunette Goddess, who reviewed like four chapters in a row, thank you so much! What happened to everybody else? Lol, guess my return wasn't as good as AJ's or Chris Jericho's, anyways I'll make do As they say I will survive, but I'll survive even more with a few reviews to help me lol.

Read&Review, please and thank you!
