Look who's back! So to whomever it may concern, Thalia and Nico are NOT dating. You have to remember that I began this story months before HoH even came out. I fixed the last chapter, but just so it's clear, they are close friends and cousins, nothing more...
Allen R-Thanks again, and as of now, I'm going to try to include Percabeth, but they are going back to 6th grade, and middle school relationships aren't exactly intimate.
Orangeowl13- Hah thanks! I'm 100% against Percy being with anyone other than Annabeth. It just isn't right at all!
I own nothing, blah blah blah..
Percy POV
I opened my eyes to find sunlight streaming into the window next to the bed. I glanced over to see the alarm clock. 6:30 a.m. A time that no sane person would wake up. Then I hear a big bang, and what would you know, Chaos came smashing through the door. Annabeth and I both sat up and blinked the tiredness out of our eyes.
"What in Hades name are you doing here Chaos?!" Annabeth mumbled in a tired voice.
"Well today IS going to be your first day in your new school!" He exclaimed, "Isn't this going to be fun!"
"Chaos," I was starting to wake up, though I still sat in bed. "How are we going to get to school?.. and if you haven't noticed yet, we aren't exactly twelve year olds yet."
He grinned mischievously, "Well then get up!"
We both lazily stood, and all of the sudden my body started tingling and sparking, and I felt very wrong. After all the light around me died down, I looked down at my body. No. Hades no. I was literally a stick. I had a little muscle, but not a lot. I was wearing a blue shirt with a dolphin on it and cargo pants. I also had on a pair of navy blue flip-flops. I glanced over at Annabeth and saw that she was wearing a light grey v-neck, dark jeans, and grey converse shoes. Her hair was in a ponytail. Honestly, she looked exactly like she did when we actually were twelve. She frowned.
"Exactly how long are we going to be like this?" She looked as uncomfortable as I felt. This wasn't going to be near as fun as Chaos seemed to think it would be.
"Oh hopefully it will only be a few months!" He looked incredibly amused by how awkward our bodies were. "You will grow back into your normal selves when I feel it is time for you to reveal who you are. By that time, I believe that the campers should accept you, and you will be able to fight off whoever is trying to invade our universe."
"Wait," I cut him off," you don't even know who is invading us?!" Chaos hmphed.
"Well no, not yet." Annabeth elbowed me and nodded. I followed her lead, because I knew that he would eventually figure things out and help us know what to do. I had faith in him, even if he was a complete lunatic. "So do you two have any questions?" Annabeth blurted out hers the same time I blurted out my question.
"How will claiming go?"
"What's going to happen to Thalia and Nico?" we both finished at the exact same time.
"To answer your question Annabeth, I honestly have no idea how that will go, but I should be able to figure it out soon." Then he looked over to me. "And Thalia and Nico will start school tomorrow, being as I have to help you two sign up for school in the first place." I frowned. How unfair that the other two got one more day. But hey, life's good, but life's not fair. "So, lets get this show on the road!"
I then felt us teleporting, and when my vision cleared, I saw we were in front of a building with several stories. It was pretty gloomy, but all boarding school buildings I had ever been near were. Chaos took off, and we fell into step behind him. It was odd, because my strides were about half the length they normally were. Man, this was going to take some getting used to.
We hopped up the steps into the building, and walked right into an incredibly boring hallway. Everything in it must've been some version of a brown color. It wasn't pretty at all. I felt the urge to grab Annabeth's hand like I always do in uncomfortable situations, but then remembered that we were twelve, and it probably wouldn't be okay for us to do that. Chaos took a sharp turn into a small room that I assumed was the office, and I almost bumped into him.
"Ehem," Chaos cleared his throat, and the secretary glanced up from her computer. "I would like to enroll my two children into this wondrous school!" She actually stopped what she was doing, and looked at him with a crazy look. Her forehead scrunched up.
"I'm afraid that's impossible sir," she had a screechy voice," New enrollments are only allowed at the beginning of the year, or before the second semester, maybe you could try again next year." Chaos looked her strait in the eyes.
"You can make an exception though right? Just this once please?" Chaos always got what he wanted; he just had this way of convincing people. Though I had this theory that he could control them. Whenever I brought it up though, he just smiled and went to another topic.
"Well I guess we could fit them into this school somehow." She nodded with a glazed look on her face. Chaos smiled a dazzling smile at her, and she motioned for us to sit down while she worked on where we would room and our new schedules. After what seemed to be forever, the secretary, whose name I had figured out was Mrs. Knust, motioned us over.
"Here are both of your schedules, and where you will be living." She started pointing to places on a map and explaining where classroom were, I zoned out until she told us where we would be staying. "Your dorms are on the western side of campus." she looked at Annabeth, "I'm afraid that you wont have a roommate." She then ran her gaze over to me, "and neither will you boy."
We learned that we were excused from classes today, but that we would start our morning classes out tomorrow and 8:03 a.m. both of our schedules matched, thank the gods.
They went like this: 1st period: World History, 2nd period: Prealgebra, 3rd:Spanish, 4th:Biology, Lunch, 5th: PE, 6th:English, 7th:Study hall, 8Th:Health.
It didn't seem like such a bad schedule, considering I had made it through all of this before, but that didn't mean I was happy about all of it.
We then left and made our way towards where we would be staying, and Annabeth went into her dorm, and I had to walk a little further to mine, accompanied by Chaos. It turned out I was on the forth floor. Awesome, I would have to hike up and down four floors every day. I threw my door open once I finally found my room, and I looked in to see a very bland room. There were two beds, which I could probably push together to make one, and two large closets, separated by a desk. The walls were a light blue/grey color, and the floor had white tiles. I saw that my stuff had already made its way into my room. Probably thanks to Chaos, who had just disapeard. I wanted to go collapse on the bed right in that very moment, but figured I should check in with Annabeth.
The great thing about Chaos messages was that you didn't need a rainbow the get the message through. I messaged her, and saw that she was already unpacking. Something that I would probably put off until I was incredibly bored and needed something to do. I watched her for a while for a while until she turned around and gasped in surprise. I'm guessing it was because not only did she not expect me to message her so soon, but the fact that I was in a twelve year old body.
"Hey seaweed brain," She recovered with a grin, "You cant even live five minutes without me can you." I felt my lips parting with a smile.
"Of course not wise girl," my voice cracked. Oh Hades. Just another perk of being a middle schooler. Her eyes grew wide and she snorted with laughter. After a while, when she finally calmed down, we started talking again.
"So what's the plan wise girl?" She looked at me with disbelieving eyes.
"Have you really not been listening Percy?" I flushed.
"Well no, not really," she opened her mouth to respond, but I quickly cut her off. "I meant what's the plan to get through school?"
"Well, the smartest plan would be to not get noticed, and coast through the middle." I nodded in agreement.
"Well you know what that means Beth?" She glared at me, knowing she hated the nickname. "That means you cant be all miss smarty pants in front of everybody." She sent an even worse glare at me.
"That also means you can't blow up everything you touch." She said in a mocking voice. Ouch.
"Fine then, I'll try not to be such a troublemaker." She smiled again, but I know we both were thinking that me staying out of trouble was practically impossible.
"Also," I added in," can we not hate each other like when we were twelve?" She smirked.
"You do realize that I have never hate you right?" Hah that wasn't the feeling I had when we were twelve. I almost said that out loud, but decided against that. "I have to finish unpacking, but I love you. See you soon." She said as I smiled my signature lopsided grin at her.
"I love you too wise girl." We both gave each other one last smile and I blew her a kiss before ending the message.
Afterwards, I turned around and glanced at my things. After a short battle in my head, I decided against unpacking, and took a nap. I was out for a few minutes, and then a dream popped into my head.
Dreamland!
I looked around, and I was in a forest. Something clicked! I had been here before, and it was a long time ago. Heck I don't even know how I remembered this dream, but I did. A mist started streaming around my feet, and I looked up to see the man who had invaded my dreams before. He was dressed in the dark clothes he had before.
"Hmm Perseus, it's been a while has it not?" my face was stoic. "I see that Chaos has you on earth." I then grunted.
"Poor petty little Chaos. He thinks that he can defend everyone, but he's to stupid to realize how spread out I have him and all of his weak, little army." He smiled a dark smile. I didn't really like this guy to begin with, but with every word he said, I liked him even less.
"I'd like to make you an offer Perseus."
"Yeah right." I muttered under my breath, but I know he heard me by the way he was frowning.
"You'd be good to listen to me boy." He scoffed at the word boy. "When the time comes, I will offer you to come to my side. The winning side. Should you choose to accept, I would give you the credit you deserve." Now it was my turn to frown.
"I don't know what you're talking about." I was tempted to spit at him.
"Oh yes you do Percy. You wouldn't be just any soldier in my army. You would be the leader. Nobody would be above you!" He sounded like he knew I was going to join his side. He didn't know me though.
"Never would I join you. Heck I don't even know who you are!"
"You're so young and naïve, trust me on this one." I didn't trust him one bit.
"I see you're stubborn right now, so it's time for me to send you back to your world. See you soon Perseus."
Dreamlands over!
I woke up in my own sweat with a gasp. I know I had just had some crazy dream, but I couldn't remember what it was. I sat on my bed pondering for a bit, when I heard some commotion out in the hallway outside of my bedroom.
I opened my door and saw a bunch of boys running down the hall. A few gave me some curious glances, but most ignored me. Just then my stomach growled at me. Shoot, what time was it? I looked at the clock that was already in my room. 6:30. Great, suppertime! I prayed to Chaos that this schools food would be okay. Actually I was just hoping that it would be edible, being as most school food wasn't.
I smoothed my wrinkled clothes i was wearing from earlier, and started to join the procession of boys who were all going to eat. At least I think they were all going to eat. I was about twenty feet out of my dorm when I heard a voice. "Seaweed brain! Wait up!" thank the gods, Annabeth was running towards me. We got a few odd glances. She looked at me.
"Please tell me you didn't just sleep all afternoon." I grinned.
"Guilty." She frowned.
"Whatever Perce, I'm guessing you were heading to get some food too?" I looked up at her. Yes, up. I forgot that she had been taller than me when we were younger. She laughed as though she knew what I was thinking.
"Oh come on shortstack! Lets go eat." I frowned, feeling pretty grumpy. Boys weren't supposed to be shorter than girls. It was uncomfortable.
We walked to the cafeteria, and got our food, that included a chicken patty, which didn't look so bad. Some vegetables, and I'm pretty sure there was mold growing on them. Mashed potatoes, which looked as though they were made with powder, and the milk we got which smelled a little suspicious. Both Annabeth and I were able to down the food without feeling too nauseous, and walked back to the dorms.
After we parted ways, I went to my dorm and trudged up the stairs, and decided to unpack. It took me hours to get all my stuff sort of organized. After, I plopped down on the bed, and instantly fell into a dreamless sleep...
Updated yet again It's nice now that my life has sort of slowed down! I missed being able to write! Sorry if the chapter seemed sort of slow, but I pinky swear that there will be action soon! I mean there isn't much a middle school can do that has a ton of action in it.
Seriously though, I could use some help with figuring out how to claim all of them. And should I do some chapters from Nico or Thalia's pov's about when they're at school? Please respond and help!
Also I learned today why i really dont like the english language. It's because this sentence makes sense: All the soda she had had had had no effect on her. gahhh why?
All right whatever, thanks for reading, bye! -LadyKeye
