"So emm you gonna let me in or do I have to stand in the corridor" I ask
"Oh right sorry" he says moving out of the way. I step into his little apartment standing awkwardly in the middle of the room
"You gonna sit down" he asks raising an eyebrow. I take a seat at his kitchen table while he grabs a glass of water. He then comes and takes a seat.
"So where do we start" I ask
"So first of all we kissed and I'm not going to argue that I didn't like it because I did" he says
"Yeah I liked it too" I say
"So where do we go from here" he asks
"No where I'm engaged" I say
"To someone you don't love" he says
"I know I don't but I don't get a say in the matter. I am marrying Dallas and as annoying as he is he doesn't deserve me having a secret relationship behind his back" I say
"So we just ignore what happened" he asks raising an eyebrow
"Yes" I say
"But what if I can't ignore it" he says
"That's on you just make sure it doesn't interfere with my life" I say grabbing my bag and rushing out the front door.

It's been two weeks since I talked to Austin. I didn't go to beats and when he's at work I remain in the house. Not going anywhere near the stables. Dallas has been really sweet lately. He took me out to dinner last Saturday and then on Wednesday the two of us went to Miami children's hospital and donated some money and we got to meet some of the kids. Spending time with him takes my mind off Austin.
Kira finished doing my makeup and now I was ready for my party. My hair was curled and I was wearing a white strapless dress with black diamonds at the bottom and I was wearing hot pink lip stick.
"Hey girls" Dallas says as he enters the room
"Hi" we all mumble as we stand up and straighten out our dresses.
"The party is about to begin" he says
"Okay we better get out there. See you later ally" Kira says as the girls leave my room. Now it's only me and Dallas.
"You look beautiful" he says kissing me on the cheek
"Thanks" I say
"We better get into our places" he says dragging me out to the back garden. We were behind a big shield so no one could see us yet. The music was on and we could hear people chatting among themselves.
"Don't be nervous" Dallas says
"Okay Dallas I know you're not going to like me asking this but why have you been acting differently lately" I ask
"I just thought about what you said. So I'm trying to pay more attention to you and us" he says I must admit that's sweet he's taken what I said and really thinking about it
"Ladies and gentlemen please give it up for the birthday girl herself Ally Dawson" the DJ shouts and the shield is lifted up. The garden looks amazing there were acrobats in each corner doing tricks in these giant hoops. We had people dressed as clowns going around serving drinks and everyone was dancing and having a good time. I linked my arm with Dallas as we went around greeting people. A lot of people asked about the wedding and plans for the future. An hour later I really needed some space so I go out to toward the stables since it was off limits to the guests. I stood outside starlight's stall looking in at her.
"Melody hasn't been eating" a voice says making me jump
"Austin what are you doing here" I ask
"Your dad asked me to work over time to make sure the horses don't freak out to much with the noise" he says
"OH and what do you mean melody's not eating" I ask
"She's refusing to drink from starlight so the vet has to come in the morning and try figure it out" he says by then he was standing beside me looking into the stall.
"So how's the party" he asks
"Crowded I needed some space" I say and he just nods
"Ally about the last time we talked" he begins
"Please Austin don't bring it up. Especially on my birthday" I say
"Fine" He says
"What about beats how's that going" I ask
"Good there all confused as to why you haven't come back. They keep asking me what's going on between us and things like that" he says
"Well that's to be expected" I say
"What about Dallas. How are you two" he asks
"He's been really sweet lately. Bringing me out to dinner and stuff like that" I say
"That's nice" he says awkwardly
"Yeah emm anyway I better get back to the party" I say walking off back to the crowded garden. Once I get back I grab champagne off one of the clowns and begin looking around for people I actually know.
"People can we please get the birthday girl on stage. We have a surprise for her" the DJ shouts and I begin to make my way towards the stage. I step up onto the stage and look out at the crowd. I look over in the direction of the stables and I see Austin standing there leaning against the wall staring straight at me. It made me feel really bad for ignoring him. I turn away from him and stand there wondering what's going on. I take a drink of champagne and finally the DJ begins to talk.
"so ally you must be wondering why we called you up on stage" he says and I just nod "well your boyfriend Dallas has an early wedding present for you" he says and Dallas jumps on stage and takes a microphone of him.
"So I have a present for you" he slurs
"Are you drunk" I whisper in his ear
"No wh...Why would you think that Jessica" he slurs I take the microphone out of his hand. Who the hell is Jessica?
"Dallas has decided to give me my present later he thinks it will be more special" I say and the crowd awes I step of stage and our family's come running up to us while the guests go back to doing their own thing
"What the hell was that? Dallas had planned something special" Julie shouts
"Okay look if you're going to blame someone don't look at me. This is all Dallas's fault" I say
"Yeah right you're the one always causing trouble for him. Making him looks bad" Julie shouts
"Really because he done it all on his own tonight. He's drunk. It's not my fault he drank so much he can't even stand-up" I say pointing to Dallas who was trying to stay standing by holding onto the side of the stage.
"He can't of drank that much" Dallas's dad says
"It's times like this I really wonder if he really cares for me" I snap walking away from them all
"Stop being ridiculous of course he cares about you" Julie shouts and I just run away from them all. I ran into the stables.
"You okay" Austin asks
"Austin get me out of here. Take me anywhere away from here" I say
"What" he asks looking slightly confused
"Please Austin" I say
"Fine my cars around the side come on" he says grabbing my wrist and leading me to his old car. We get in and he turns the heat on.
"So what happened" he asks
"Dallas drank way too much. Then everyone starts yelling at me like it's my fault" I say
"Shouldn't you of stayed to help Dallas" he says
"He won't even know what's going on. He can't stand up" I say "ugh he ruined my birthday" I snap
"You know he really does love you even if you don't feel the same. I can see it in the way he looks at you" he says "it's the same way I look at you" he mumbles
"Is this you telling me you love me" I ask raising an eyebrow
"Maybe not love but I do really like you" he says
"I'm sorry" I say
"For what" he asks
"When I came to your apartment I should of stayed and talked it out with you but instead I was childish and ran off" I say
"It's okay I wouldn't know what to do in your situation" he says
"So where exactly are we going" I ask
"We are going to the park where we will get the best hotdogs in Miami" he says stopping the car in front of the park. He gave me his black leather jacket to keep me warm. We made our way through the park and then we bought hotdogs. We walk through the park and stop at a park bench in front of the pond.
"Do you think you'll come back to beats" he asks
"I don't know, it's a lot of hassle trying to keep it from everyone" I say
"You have me to help if you need it" he says
"Thanks, you know I missed this" I say
"Missed what" he asks raising an eyebrow
"Talking to a normal average everyday person. My whole life I've been surrounded by rich people and people my parents thought were good for me" I say
"They really try to control you ally. Whether you can see it or not" he says
"I know that Austin but they always tell me, I'll understand when I'm older. I'm twenty two and I still don't understand" I say
"Do you think Dallas is angry it's arranged" he asks
"I think he thinks everything worked out like we fell in love over time" I say
"So he doesn't know that it annoys you" he asks
"I think part of him gets it, I'm kind of impatient and moody with him but I think he thinks that's just me" I say
"But wh…" he says before I interrupt him
"Can we please stop talking about Dallas? I want to enjoy some of my birthday" I say
We both stand up and begin walking towards the car. We finally reach it.
"Ally wait a second" he says before I step in the car. I turn around and he slams his lips on mine. It took all my strength but I managed to push him off.
"Austin why did you do that" I snap
"I thought it was the right moment" he says
"Austin I'm engaged" I say
"Ally I don't care I really like you" he says
"Austin you don't care now but you will care when I'm married to Dallas and have to move in with him. Then the only time I'll see you is beats. It's not just me I'm doing this for, it's for both of us" I say
"Ally I can't help the fact I like you but I can see you really don't want this" he says
"Austin i do want it but it can never happen" I say as we get in the car
