Robin watched at the darkness started to engulf Regina. His soul mate. His girlfriend. His true love. He couldn't let this happen to her. How hard had she worked for her happy ending? He trusted that if he did this, if he became the dark one to save Regina, she'd look after Roland. He had his happy ending. To have a family. Regina was still working on hers.
Robin saw Emma and he knew if he wasn't fast enough, she'd go for Regina. He ran at her, grabbed the dagger and stood in front of Regina. She looked horrified but he had to save her.
'I love you, Regina,' Robin said.
'Robin!' Regina yelled. 'No! Please don't! I love you!'
Robin looked at the dagger as he raised it into the air. The darkness that was engulfing Regina turned to him. He was almost knocked away at this. There was so much of it. He watched as his darkest memories came forward, as the Dark Ones before him came to his mind and he started to smirk at the sky.
How good it felt to be free! He felt himself vanish from Storybrooke and he knew he needed help for getting revenge on everyone who'd wronged him.

Regina watched as the dagger fell to the ground. As her heart fell to the ground. She had thought that Emma was going to sacrifice herself for her. She'd seen the conclusion written on her face but she had thought Robin would have stayed, for his son at least. Oh god. Roland. How was she meant to explain this Roland?
Robin Locksley. Why that? Anything but that name should be written in the curve writing, her name should be written there. Why his?
'Where'd he go?' Snow asked.
'Where do you think, you bimbo!' Regina said, turning on them. 'Rainbow land with unicorns and puppies?'
'Regina,' Emma said warningly.
'What, Miss Swan?' Regina asked. 'What are you going to do? Braid my hair? Console me? Give me ice-cream for my troubles?'
'Regina, that's enough,' Killian said, stepping forward.
'What Hook?' Regina spat. 'What do you want? Best buddies? Or perhaps rebound buddies?'
'This isn't the women that Robin sacrificed himself for.' Killian said, stepping forward.
'You have no right to say that Hook,' Regina spat.
'I do,' Killian replied, 'because I'd be doing the same thing if Emma had done what Robin did for you. But Regina, we have to help Robin, not fight with the people who are going to help you.'
Regina fell silent. Of course this one hand wonder was right, but Regina couldn't give him the joy of that. She turned from them and faced the dagger. She should summon him. Do everything that Gold had been unable to find.
She was about to step forward when she felt a hand on her arm.
'What?' Regina snapped, thinking it was either Hook or David. It was Henry.
'Mom, what happened?' Henry asked. 'Where's Robin?'
It was in that moment it fully hit Regina why Robin did what he did until then. Her happy ending. Hadn't she told him that her happy ending was that she felt a part of a world that included him and his son? She had finally gotten her happy ending after the author had changed things and she had saved them all from a terrible fate.
He became the Dark One so her happy ending lived on. But what good would it be if part of her happiness was gone? What about Roland? How was he going to explain to the boy that had become like a son to her that his father had gone? Hadn't Roland lost enough family in his short life time?
'Mom?' Henry asked.
'Henry,' Emma said softly, 'Robin is the new Dark One.'
'What?' Henry said, rounding on them. 'Why? How?'
'The Sorcerers hat wasn't able to contain so much darkness, so it had left the hat. It was going around town and we were chasing it and Regina and Robin came along. It went for Regina when Robin grabbed the dagger from me and vanished into darkness.' Emma explained.
'Then let's summon him!' Henry said.
'We don't know what the dagger will do,' David said, 'I doubt anyone has ever sacrificed themselves so someone won't be a Dark One.'
'Let's try.' Henry said moving to the dagger.
'Don't touch that!' Killian warned, stepping in front of Henry. 'I'll summon him. I've tried for years, trying to get the crocodile. There's something you have to say to summon them.'
Killian grabbed the dagger and Robin's name glinted in the moonlight and the street lights. It made Regina's heart clench. It should have been her name scrawled on the dagger.
'Dark one, I summon thee!' Killian called out as everyone held their breaths. 'Dark one, I command you to come!'
'Why isn't it working?' Snow asked. 'It should be working!'
'Because the Dark One isn't in this world.' Killian said. 'It can only summon the Dark One if the Dark One is in the realm of the person calling them.'
'Where is he?' Regina asked. 'Where's Robin, Hook!?'
'Enchanted Forest perhaps,' Killian replied, 'or a place that matters most to him.'
'Like here, of course!' A dark voice called at them. They all turned around. There was Robin, standing in front of them, a hood pulled over his face, his biceps showing off, a black bow around his body with a quiver of arrows with it.
'Robin,' Regina said, walking towards him.
'Regina, no!' Emma said, grabbing her arm. 'We can't be sure what he can do!'
'I trust him Miss Swan,' Regina said, pulling her arm from her grip, 'I love him.'
'You trust Robin, not the Dark One, Regina,' Killian said, 'you can't trust this- this dark archer.'
'The Dark Archer?' Robin chuckled darkly, moving closer to them. 'Oh pirate, that's a great one from you! How about we give names to everyone? The Dark Swan for Emma? The Dark Captain for you Hook? The Dark Queen for Regina? Or the Dark Believer for Henry? What's the best one?'
'Robin,' Regina said softly, 'please, come back to me.'
'Oh Regina,' Robin said, 'you must love me don't you?'
'Of course I do!' Regina said.
'It's a shame I don't love you then, isn't it?' Robin laughed. Regina felt her heart clenched. Was what he was saying true? She shook her head. This was the Dark One talking.
'What do you want?' Killian asked.
'That dagger of course,' Robin said, taking his bow off of his back, 'so it's either the dagger or your death, pirate. Choose wisely.'
'You aren't ever getting this Robin, even after my death,' Killian said.
'No!' Emma said horrified. 'No, Killian, think this through!'
'I have, Emma,' Killian said, 'and every Dark One needs power. They can't have it or the darkness engulfs them more.'
'We can figure this out, Killian, I can't lose you!' Emma said.
'Figure this out pirate!' Robin said impatiently. 'I don't have time for this! I have my son to grab and to leave you lot behind. Perhaps.'
'Hook, give it to me,' Regina said, putting his hand out for him to pass the dagger, 'now.'
'No,' Killian said, 'Robin, shoot me. Death can't stop me.'
'Fine, pirate,' Robin said, putting the arrow in the bow. He shot it and it felt like time had stopped. The arrow hit just below Killian's heart but his grip on the dagger never wavered as he fell to the ground. Regina watched as Robin's kind blue eyes turned black.
'Killian!' Emma cried. Regina turned to face them and saw the blood coming from the wound.
'Regina, you can save him, can't you?' Emma begged.
'I can't heal a wound so deep,' Regina said, 'that takes a Healer's hand.'
'Whale could fix him, then,' Emma said desperately.
'It's no use, love,' Killian whispered, 'by the time you got me there, I'd have lost too much blood.'
'You know the pirate is right.' Robin's voice came from in front of them and they all stared at him. 'So, do I get my dagger? If I have it, I could save you from dying.'
'Deal!' Emma said, grabbing for the dagger.
'No Swan!' Killian yelled. He's grip on the dagger tightened and Regina knew what she had to do.
'Give up the dagger pirate,' Regina said, 'stop- stop being heroic.' Regina ripped the dagger from his iron tight grip and more blood poured from his wound.
'Robin, you promise to heal him properly with no cost?' Regina asked.
'Of course,' Robin smirked.
'Dreamshade,' David said suddenly.
'What?' Regina said.
'Those arrows are laced with Dreamshade.' David said. 'I recognise it. Killian has little hope Regina. Don't give up that dagger.'
'I should kill you!' Emma yelled at Robin but it only made him laugh loudly.
'What's the matter Saviour?' Robin asked. 'Love the pirate? Can't lose him like you've lost the others? Who were the others? Neal, Graham, August? Looks like we can add this pirate to the list.'
'True love's kiss, mom!' Henry said.
'This isn't some curse Henry,' Killian said, 'there's no hope. I guess this is where I stop surviving.'
'I love you!' Emma said. 'No! I can't lose you, Killian!'
'And I, you,' Killian smiled, 'more than anything.'
It was then Regina realised what to do to break this curse. True love's kiss! Regina looked at Robin who was staring at her. She went up and kissed him on the lips. She knew it had worked at Robin smiled against her lips.
'Hook!' Robin said pulling away. 'I have an antidote in my pocket.'
Robin gave it to Emma who snatched at it and gently poured it into his mouth. The affect was instantly and Emma took the arrow from his chest. Killian was still lying on the ground, breathing heavily.
'Sorry mate?' Robin said uncertainly.
'It's okay,' Killian said, 'darkness is- is a funny thing.'

Author's Note: I doubt anyone has ever thought of Dark One! Robin. I mean, it's like an awesome idea! It was just like this idea that came to me while I was about to fall asleep the other day and then on the bus to school, I kept thinking of this and then this happened!
Anyway, thanks for the reviews and please keep them up! I love to see what you think! Next chapter is a young! Henry AU with Regina, Emma and the gang. :)
Enjoy your day :)
