Veronica knows what this day is going to bring. It will be a day full of stares and whispers; a day full of dread and turmoil. The papers have sealed the fate of ninety percent of her human interactions today. The sledgehammer in her head is no one's fault but her own but she needed it. She needed to let go even if it was only for a moment. Thank the heavens it was not one of her more memorable moments… but it had the potential. If all she did was quote Shakespeare… that is enough. Now, time to find some B12 and some freaking caffeine to cure all that ails. Her thoughts drift to her old friend. "Louis, I love you but V8 is not going to cut it today unless you mix it with Red Bull." She seeks out her time tested hangover cure.

Veronica takes a seat at her desk and reads the latest and greatest of the day's offerings on her family which has been covered by every print news agency, digital offering and social media outlet know to mankind. Cooper is such an idiot. Veronica's thoughts offer open commentary on the papers in her hands. He opened the tomb. He threw off the lid of Pandora's box. He did it without a thought of consequence. Of course… none of their lives ever involved consequence. A payment here, a bribe there, a donation, a building, a campaign donation… you name it if you have enough money, you can buy, build it or fix it. Her random thoughts take a comedic turn, hell, it allowed Twoski and Threeski to time travel through their plastic surgeons. She laughs to herself. If it wasn't so tragic, it would be amusing as all hell.

Veronica knows what Harvey's next move will be. It is always the same. Every time one of them screws up. They wonder. They wonder why she is invisible. The answer is actually quite simple… money can buy that too. Veronica doesn't spend on the trappings of wealth. She spends her money keeping herself wrapped in a cloak of invisibility so thick that David Blaine could not even find his way through.

Cooper's mistake came at the worst time. The company is under attack. The family is under attack and the weakest link is the CEO and he has the ability to destroy their father. They both deserve what is coming but it is not for Cooper to play God. There will be time for this later, it is time to go to work. Veronica turns her thoughts from the mundane problems of her family to people with real problems, her patients.

Back at Pearson Darby:

Donna signs for a package and brings it to Harvey's office. It is exquisitely wrapped and actually quite heavy. Donna swore she had to sign away her first born to take it from the messenger's arms. The card is sealed with an old fashioned wax seal, which does not allow Donna to see who is sending Harvey such an extravagance. Donna brings the box into Harvey's office curious to have Harvey reveal the contents. It has been a most unusual day, Harvey is not one to spend the day at his desk yet he has been there all day diligently researching away.

Donna's entrance to his office pulls Harvey's attention from his laptop with thud of the box before him. "A gift for you." The package is impressive which captures Harvey's attention. "Who is it from?" Harvey's curiosity is peaked.

"It is a mystery but there is a card. My dear Sherlock." Donna hands Harvey the richly inlaid envelope with the crimson wax seal. "Thank you Watson, that will be all." Harvey has an inkling who the gift may be from only he has no idea what the gift could be and he is not sure he should have witnesses.

"Aren't you going to open it?" Donna has been dying to see what is inside since she got her cardio in for the day bringing it to his office. "I can surmise that you will not leave me to my work until I do?" Donna nods. Harvey looks at the package as Donna plants herself in the chair in front of his desk.

Harvey lays the card on his planner as he moves on to remove the gilded wrappings from the box. The wrappings reveal a delicate wooden box which instantly brings a smile to his face. He gently lies the box on its side as he opens it to reveal a very rare bottle of scotch. Someone knows his tastes quite well. Harvey gently lifts the bottle of Macallan 1926 Fine and Rare as if it was his first born.

"What is that?" Donna knows it is expensive but not the significance. Harvey sets it down on the desk with great care. Donna notices how he is handling the bottle. Harvey smiles as he answers. "That is a $75,000 dollar bottle of scotch." Harvey points to the bountiful treasure on his desk.

Donna smiles. "Let me guess… a gift from our heiress MD?" Harvey pulls out and opens the card to see the phrase in delicate feminine handwriting.

An intelligent man is sometimes forced to be drunk to spend time with his fools.

Harvey smiles as he reads the card. Donna most definitely notices the smile. Hemingway… she is a woman of both means and substance. Curious… definitely curious. Harvey is going to enjoy getting to know Ms. Veronica Tate.
