Casey smiled as she sat on the bed.
She'd just found something she loved so much, but had never known existed.
She traced the edges, as if feeling the moment again.
It was so...lovely even back than.

"Derek!"
"Casey!"
"Mum!"
"Coming!"
Nora rushed up the stairs, almost tripping over her own two feet.
"Careful, that's not an airbag you're carrying."
"Funny Lizzie, now what's up?"
"My camera just broke, I think."
Nora looked at her, mouth agape. "And you call your mother, pregnant with twins, as if the roof's on fire?!"
"Sorry?" Lizzie raised one eyebrow. She didn't mean to sound in panic, causing her mother to rush to her.
Latter waved her hand to let the topic drop. "So what's with that new camera of yours?"
"I did how Edwin wrote. But his guidelines must have somehow forgotten that this camera wouldn't like me."
Her step-brother had sent her a digicam with high definition to document the happenings around the house while he was busy elsewhere.
"Gimme." Nora took the device and inspected it. "Looks fine to me, can I see the notes?"
Lizzie handed her said guidelines, when something else caught her attention. She stood up from her bed and left the room and her mother behind.
"Derek, you shouldn't use the tiles for building a tower. Glue them to the wall!"
"Casey, I think you forgot whose the genious in this house. I trust you to do it way better than I ever could."
"Oh no, buddy, you're watching and learning and than do your half. Again..." Lizzie stood in the hallway, watching her big siblings bicker as ever. A smile crept onto her face as she remembered the past of the couple before her.

"Mum!"
"Nora!"
Casey and Derek shouted unison.
"What? Can't a mother make memories?"
"With us looking like this?" Casey pointed at herself from her hair full of mortar to her old faded, way too small and stained shirt down the bibs she borrowed from her mother.
"Exactly. With my two oldest modeling their bathroom while overall building themselves a home alone and far from their mother..." Halfway through that sentence she had started sniffling and had now tears flowing down her cheeks.
Lizzie enveloped her in a hug, Casey rubbed her back and Derek took the camera from her hands.
"Mum, Derek and I aren't even out of the city. We've been throught the case: with the twins on the way you need the space and as you said Derek and I are the oldest."
"Aren't you glad that our Casey looks after the chaos on two feet?" Nora half snorted, half laughed.
"Oh, don't care, Lizzie, it's just the hormones," she said while stroking her younger girl over the head.

"Derek!" All three shouted now.
"Come on, three of my favourite ladies and maybe one or two more on the way is something I need to catch." Giving his signature smirk, he took a few steps to envelope his special lady in a hug.
"What are you doing?" His actions were suspicious.
"The same words as this morning. And you enjoyed what followed."
"Eww, didn't need to know that."
"I hope, I'm the only one with a bump for the next few years here."
"Derek?"
"Princess?"
He mocked her as she took the steps he approached her back, hands up to defend herself if necessary.
"What have you got behind your back?"
"My arms to hug my beloved girlfriend?"
"Cute, but no way you're gonna distract me~heee! Der~ek!"
The brush they'd used to moisten the wall to ready them for the tiles left wet and dirty trailes on her bare arms.
"Need anymore distraction or are we now hurrying up, so we can take a shower in our own bathroom, once Nora and Lizzie are out the house?" Hot breath tickled her skin as he whispered in her ear.
The goosebumps she got were not because of the cold water drying on her skin, but certain parts of her heating up in wetness.
She drew his head to her, forcing a passionate kiss on his lips.
"You now willing to learn how to tile a bathroom?"
He felt the words on her lips before he nodded and kissed her again.

"Lizzie?"
She looked up to her mother.
"I want a copy of that for my wall where all of my pictures of my kids are hanging."
"I don't think they need anymore...help with their home today." She secured her camera around her neck and helped her mother down the stairs of the apartment.
Swinging the car-keys on her finger, she looked back over her shoulder, while holding the front door open.
Still engaged in their kiss, Derek and Casey never noticed their family leaving.
"Don't knock her up, brother!" Lizzie shouted purposefully loud and watched as the pair jumped apart and looked a bit dizzy around for the source of the voice.
Before they could so much as say goodbye, Lizzie had shut the door to their home, leaving them behind blushing.
Turning to the window next to them to wave after the women, Derek slung an arm around Casey's waist.
"You know, now we're alone..." His hand went up to unclip her bibs, pushing the button over her breast a bit harder than necessary.
"And there are only two rooms finished..." Her hand wandered back over her head, to his neck and up to play with his hair.
"With the kitchen being a bit umcomfortable..." His other hand -now in no need to wave anymore since Nora and Lizzie had long driven off- unbottoning the other side and gliding down her side, hooking the pants down with his thump.
"And the bedroom only a few steps away..." she turned around in his embrace, now only clad in her too tight shirt and underwear. Her hands made their way to his sweatpants, cupping his backside and drawing him towards her.
"But with us alone here..." He kissed her again, moving from peppering her mouth to lead a feathery trail down her neck.
"With no-one to hear us..." She let her eyes drop shut and her head fall back.
"Hear you." He looked up, finding her darkened eyes and reddened cheeks.
"We'll see that..." A miscievous smirk quirked up her wet lips as she tugged him by the front of his pants towards their bedroom.
"You mean hear."
"Do I always have to shut you up this way?" A playfully annoyed tone colored her words as she matched his attire with hers.
"No, I prefer it when you can't say nothin' either, princess."
His lips found hers again, as he took one step back and cushioned her fall onto the bed with his body.
Breaking away to catch their breaths, Derek looked into her eyes, taking in the emotions swirling in them, proud to be their source.
His face became serious again as he tucked one strand of hair behind her ear.
"You are beautiful, you know that?" He whispered.
"Yeah, the DIY-look is the latest fashion in Paris," she chuckled, propping herself on her arms to hover over him.
"No, I mean you're as beautiful as the day I fell in love with you."
"You made me fall as well." She remembered the day from years ago, when a comment from him had her tumbling down the stairs of their school.
"I'm sorry for that," he mumbled, absently combing a hand through her hair.
"And after all that crap, we're finally here." He looked around, taking in his surroundings, all the space he now shared with the woman of his dreams.
"Do you mean here," she looked around too. "Or do you mean here?" She let the tip of her finger dive below the waistband of his boxers.
Rendered speechless he brought his lips to Casey's, kissing the knowing grin away heatedly.
Honestly? He didn't care where here was, as long as she, Casey MacDonald, was with him.

And there we have it! Finished!
The last chapter with a bit of sexual tension again, but no lemon (I'm somehow incapable of writing them, they seem copied from someone else).
Thanks for all the support throughout the story and please leave a review, so I know if you're still interested in me writing for this fandom.
