Chapter 7 Recovery

We rejoin the Gaang at the emergency meeting to discuss their next options. Zuko and Aang were a sorry sight, Zuko was slumped in a wheelchair while Aang stared at the floor, both stressed and ashamed. They were sitting at the head of the rectangular meeting table, representatives from the rival parties as well as army officers and Dai Li were present,

"What Ba-Sing-Se needs is a businessman who can repair our crippled economy and meet the needs of the lower classes," informed one of the top Dai Li Agents, most of the room nodded,

"No, what you need is what is good for the kingdom, I've had the blessing that I have been able to see the vast majority of the Earth Kingdom. The difference between the 2 main cities and the rest of the Kingdom is large, the main priority of all of us is ensuring the successes of Republic City and Ba-Sing-Se are spread to the rest of the kingdom," Aang countered,

"The earth King has rarely considered anyone outside of Ba-Sing-Se, so why should the next be anything different,"

"Because the world has changed!" Aang replied, raising his voice slightly, "Look what we have achieved in the 2 years since the war, we need to ensure everyone feels this!" one of the representatives taunted Aang, "Then why don't you just use your magic powers to sort out the world? I think you waste your powers, why are you even here? Should you be, you know?"

"WHAT?"

"Your of age? Surely you should be thinking about, conserving your culture? Isn't every child of an airbender born an airbender?"

Aang became enraged, Zuko was pulling his hand down to stop him from standing up, "How could you even say that to a 14 year old kid?" Zuko asked angrily,

"His services are not needed here, he should go off to an air temple with a non bender, not that water tribe girl,"

Seeing Aang about to flip, Katara stepped in "I think it's best if you leave," and signalled to a Dai Li guard to take him away, "Let's cool down the room a bit, we need a compromise from both parties if this is going to work..."

Another 2 hours passed before the meeting was complete. Kuei's daughter was to take power with the businessman as an adviser. The gaang decided to fragment once more. Zuko had things to attend to, Toph returned to the metalbending school and Sokka returned to Gran-Gran. However, Katara refused to come, knowing Aang was still struggling mentally and wouldn't cope alone. Despite the fact they had more privacy than ever before, Aang slept the first night alone, he still hadn't had the time to sort his head out, something he was planning to do that night. This however changed when he saw how comfy his bed looked, falling asleep almost immediately.

Aang was running through a flowery meddow, bison were flying in circles above him. Katara stood over by the temple entrance, calling out his name. Aang ran towards her as she turned and ran inside. Aang gave chase and burst into her room. Katara was waiting for his embrace as the door closed behind them. Their kisses turned into a dance of tongues as Aang wrapped his arms around her back, moving down to her buttocks and squeezing them gently. Katara gave out a small moan in response. As Aang undid Kataras clothes the world burst into flames around their half naked bodies and they were both engulfed.

Aang woke back up with a start. As he focused on slowing down his breathing as he glossed over what the hell just happened. He noticed that all his blood was rushing south rather quickly. Heavily embarrassed he curled up and tried to get back to sleep.

AUTHORS NOTE: That is the kinda level of suggestive that will happen during Book 4. Books 5 and 6 may be a lot more detailed but at this stage Aang is just way too young and it feels really inappropriate.

It was nearly afternoon when Aang headed downstairs which was very rare for him, he immediately blushed as he turned the corner to find Katara preparing food, remembering the dream. "Morning Katara, your up eaRLY?" squeaked Aang. Katara giggled at this making him blush an even darker shade of red, "Aang its nearly midday," Aang was certain she was lying, and only backed down when he looked outside, "I have been thinking about whether we should leave Ba-Sing-Se, I think it will clear my head alot more," Aang noticed Katara wasn't looking at her, "Why are you ignoring me?"

"I'm not, unless you want me to burn your breakfast?"

"You are ignoring me, you don't even care about me needing to get away!"

"Of course I do Aang!" who by now had stormed off back upstairs. He's just having mood swings like me and Sokka used to, Katara assured herself.

Allowing some time for him to cool down, she ventured back upstairs to his room, breakfast in handhand. "Can I come in?" sensing the lack of response Katara walked in. Aang's room was unusually untidy and he sat on the balcony, legs crossed, "I have a suggestion," as she popped the food next to him, "Why don't we go back to the Southern Water Tribe? You can get away for a little bit and I get to see Gran-Gran some more?"

"Maybe it is what we both need," sighed Aang, "I don't want to detach myself from wha ti's going on in the Earth Kingdom right now but I don't think I really have a choice..."

And so a day and a half later they set off for the Southern Water Tribe. Chief Hakoda was greatly anticipating their return. Sokka on the other hand wasn't so happy." I've enjoyed being here without those two lovebirds around," He keeps on grumbling.

During their long flight, Aang could not stop thinking about everything.alongside all that was going to happen over the next few months he was also curious and confused about what was going on with himself. He hadn't forgotten about that dream alongside his voice constantly cracking and the hair that was beginning to appear around his body. He didn't know if it was normal or what was causing hit and he really needed to know.

AUTHORS NOTE: The next chapter will go through 'the talk'. It's about time Aang learnt about what is happening with his body and I'm not sure how much I will hold back so it will be a skippable chapter for those who do not want to read.

HOWEVER what I do want to hear is who do you think shall give the talk. Chief Hakoda or Sokka?
