A/N: This chapter gets a little... angsty as it dives into Sonny's outing. Gets a little darker than I was going for, but hey, it works I think. Until I get caught back up with Sonny's back story, the chapters are going to switch back to the past and then the present. Hopefully, I mark that well enough for you to understand which is past and present.

"Sonny?" Will says as he's rubbing the side of the older man's face, hoping he had finally found sleep.

Sonny moves a little, but doesn't wake up; Will sighs a contented sigh as he sits down beside of the man he loves and lays the other boy's head on his lap..

Sammy walks into the living room and crosses her arms as she watches her son tenderly care for another man. Sure, she was ok with him being gay, but seeing him in action was a different story. She shook her thoughts away as she clears her throat.

Will looks over to her and brings his index finger to his lips, whispering a quieting "Shhhh" to her. She nods and sits down in the recliner and waits. Her hands resting on the arms of the chair, sliding back and forth in a nervous pattern.

Hope joins them from the kitchen, her nerves finally catching up to her. "I've called Judge Wan, he agreed to sign the arrest warrant for Jason. I have 3 officers out trying to serve the warrant now." She pauses, pinching the bridge of her nose. "How's he doing?" Hope nods her head in Sonny's direction.

Will shrugs, "Once the benadryl kicked in, he has been resting well. I'm not sure what this is going to do to his self-esteem tho. Those boys apparently did a number on him, and aren't in the habit of not getting what they want... I'm not sure how much more he can handle."

Will leans over and kisses Sonny gently on the forehead.

Hope smiles, "He will be just fine as long as you continue to support him. It's true that he hasn't had an easy life so far, and it's true that those boys did a number on him, but Will, you can be his strength and he will be fine."

Will sighs again, "Were you there?"

"Where?" She says, cocking her head to the side. She glances a look over towards Sammy and then back at Will. They both know where this conversation is going.

"The party?" Will whispers out.

"Where he was outed?" Will nods. "Unfortunately, I was, your mom was as well." Hope says glancing gown to the ground and back up.

"Can you tell me about it?" Will says while playing in Sonny's hair. He looks to his mom and back to Hope. "Please?"

"I don't know if Sonny wants to bring up those old memories, Will." Sammy says carefully. Her real meaning of, "I don't want to relive that," shinning through her words.

"He's already told me about it, I would like to know what REALLY happened. Please?" Will placed his fingers in a lock of Sonny's hair and twisted it.

"Ok, Will, I will tell you; but it's not a nice story."

"Happy Birthday to you!" And birthday whistles were blown as confetti dropped from the ceiling.

"Happy birthday baby!" Adrienne says as she kisses Sonny on the cheek.

"Thanks mom," Sonny says with a big smile.

They hear a few people yelling in the other room, and everyone's attention goes to that direction. A moment later, 3 men walk in, followed by an angry looking Justin.

"I'm sorry Son, it was 3 against 1. I couldn't throw them out by myself." He said as he walked over and rested a hand on Sonny's shoulder.

"What's this Jaxon? You decided to have a little party without telling us?" Paul sneered.

"This HAD to have been a surprise party. Otherwise, I may be offended that you didn't invite me and your other 2 boy toys to this... rendez vous." He walked closer to Sonny. "That can't be true... right Jaxson?"

"It's JACKson, and this is my birthday party Paul." Sonny said as he stood up. "Please go." Whispered as an after thought.

"Oh Jaxon, you don't want the 3 men you vowed to spend the rest of you life with, at your silly little birthday party?" Paul sneered again.

Sonny goes rigid under Justin's hand as everyone looks at Sonny. It was so quiet at that moment, you could have heard a pin drop.

"They don't know do they?" Jason laughs out.

"You haven't told them yet?" He is outright laughing out loud at this revelation.

"Please?" Sonny whispers out.

"Please what Jaxon? Let me introduce myself to your family, after all, I am going to be a part of it soon." he turns his attention to the crowd. "I'm Jason, Jaxon's boyfriend. Yes, he's gay, bring on the champagne!" He laughs out loud again.

Paul walks around the room, eyeing the cake that was just brought in. "Red Velvet, my favorite." he says as he sticks his entire hand into the cake and pulls out a handful of gooey food. He slowly brings his hands up to his mouth as he begins licking the cake from his fingers.

"Mmmmmmmmm." He moans, "Sweet, just like your tight little ass, Jaxon."

"Please!' Sonny cries.

"That's right, Jaxson. Your mouth is always so pretty when you use it to beg." Rico says as he walks closer to Sonny.

E.J. finally snaps out of his shocked state, and blocks the path between Rico and Sonny. "I do believe it's time that you boys left the party." He says as he makes eye contact with Rico.

Rico puffs up his chest, trying to make himself look intimidating and replies, "I think not."

Will has tears in his eyes as he's listening to his mom and Hope recount the tale of Sonny's 17th birthday party. He can't believe that people could be so cruel to someone so sweet.

"I'm not sure what happened but the next thing that I knew, E.J. sucker punched Rico and he fell into the table, breaking it." Sammy said with a gleam in her eye. "He deserved that punch."

"Jason grabbed Sonny's arm, and Will, he grabbed Sonny so tightly that he had a bruise around his wrist from the grip. Paul grabbed a lamp and tried to hit E.J with it, but Justin was quicker and knocked him out. I'm not exactly sure if he pushed him or hit him. Either way, Paul was on the ground beside of Rico, who was still rubbing his jaw. I don't think either boy saw it coming." Hope finished Sammy's thought.

Will had streams of tears running down his cheeks from listening to the tale, all the time, his hands never stopped playing in Sonny's hair. He felt that at this point, he didn't want to be separated from this man ever again. He made a silent vow to always keep Sonny safe.

"Then E.J. somehow got Jason off of Sonny and shoved him out the door. Justin and Victor were almost dragging the other 2 out by their collars. When Victor slammed the door on them, he told them that if they ever stupid enough to come back, he would make their lives miserable. Guess they didn't care about that." Sammy said standing up.

"Anyway, I don't really think anyone in the room was surprised that Sonny was gay. I know that Justin and Adrienne wasn't." Roman said from the kitchen, having been listening in to the conversation.

"Grandpa, you were there too?" Will said turning to face the older man.

"No, I wasn't there; but I was the officer who took the report so we could file the NCO. I wanted to get a DVO against Jason, but since they weren't living together, it wouldn't go through as "domestic violence." Technically, since they were dating, it should have but...since Sonny was dating all 3..." Roman shrugged as he walked further into the room.

The phone rings and Roman answers it, placing it on speaker so the entire room can hear.

"Jaxon? Oh, Jaxon? This is Paul. I got out tonight and want to see my little Jaxon." Paul was singing into the phone.

"He's not yours!" Will shouts, startling Sonny from his sleep.

"Shhh," Will whispers, "It's ok love. I'm here, you're safe."

Sonny wipes his eyes and his body freezes at the voice, "I'm coming Jaxon," and the line goes dead.
